Question: Friends are make bad life decisions. How can I meet positive ppl? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 04:54 PM PDT I've lost a lot of friends because they make poor decisions in life that wind up effecting our friendship. One friend was staying with me from another country (we'd been friends 7 years) because she chose to get into a relationship with a man in jail. She came to visit me but her time was consumed my meeting men, so we had some friction and I don't speak with her any more. Another friend became less sociable in her search to lose weight - she doesn't want to do anything with me like she did and she's a friend of mine from high school. She's crawling inside herself more and more as time progresses, so we speak less as much as I want to be there for her, she can't hang out due to her personal choices to cook and clean all day. I'm in my mid 30s and finding it hard to meet women to spend time and bond with who make POSITIVE decisions for themselve and GROW in life. I exercise, run and read and love to travel.Any advice??? |

Question: Bar bouncer kick me out for giving many girls a hug, so how many is too many? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 04:28 PM PDT Bar bouncer kick me out for giving many girls a hug, so how many is too many? When I walked into night club, girl who saw me gave me a hug. Then few minute later I saw another girls from school. I gave her a hug. The bar security officer say I harrass several girls and they force me to leave. Those girls are my friends and this bouncer must be misunderstand and assumed I am bothering female. So how can I avoid giving bar staff the wrong idea? So how many hug is too many? Other time at other night club I gave a lot of girls a hug and nobody say anything but welcome me at that tavern. |
Question: Please help?!? Who’s wrong or right here?? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 04:17 PM PDT Okay so this is gonna be kind of long but I desperately need other opinions here. So me and my bestfriend have been friends for like 6 years. We've always been really close. A couple years ago she started dating a very controlling guy. He wouldn't let her hangout with any of us so she ditched us. After a couple months went by I realized that he was abusive and I helped her out of the relationship. Since that we literally spent every second together. I loved our friendship so much. I thought of her as the sweetest nicest person. In highschool she slept around a lot and was always pissing off everyone off because she's sleep wirh ppl boys and ****. Once she broke up with this controlling dude she started to become boy crazy. She was on tinder, sleeping with guys she Just met, and letting guys *** inside her and being so wreckless. She eventually met a boy in college who had a long term girlfriend. She would hangout with him and his girlfriend and sometimes him alone. She ended up sleeping with him and I told her it was ****** up and she needed to back off she told me she wouldn't find out and didn't feel bad. Then we started working the same job. I met this boy there and had a huge crush. She lived across the street from him but never talked to him. She lifted with him once I said I was interested. She began to tell me to go for it and it wasn't like that. Then I find a Snapchat on her phone from him saying we still need to ****. She didn't feel bad about it and told me I was overreacting. That it wasn't like that. A couple months go by people are saying stuff about me at work that wasn't a big deal but wasn't nice that the boy told her about nd she agreed with them. And I found out. I stopped being friends with her for awhile because she said she did nothing wrong. We became friends again and decide to attend the same school. She didn't get in so I spent hours handmakinf study guides and she told me she wouldn't have enough time because of a boy she wanted to see. I got pissed at her so she took it seriously. I try to put her straight about sleeping with guys and dumb decisions. She acts like I'm micromanaging her but and I'm so ducking mean to her because I literally am so hostile about the past. Who's right here?(?!! Our friend had a bday party and she bailed and I got upset and she told me I'm just too dramatic is this true? I get very snappy with her and negative with her and I don't know why. We're currentlt fighting about my friends party and I feel so guilty. I don't know why. Am I just dramatic??? She told me all these situations are not how they sound and I really thought she was a good person But she is very fishy with guys and sleeps with guys in relationships and doesn't feel bad. So I don't know if she is telling me the truth about the boy from work. I'm not necessarily looking for right or wrong I just want to know if she is being a bad friend or I'm just being dramatic?? |
Question: I feel locked away from the world and don't know what to do? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 03:10 PM PDT This sounds stupid but, I feel like I never really experience most of the joy and basic pleasures people my age have ever experienced. I have met 1 Friend who is in a very similar situation to me. Both of our parents are kind of boring people who live under a rock. Neither of us had been on an airplane, Disneyland, wonderland, and hardly any movies. We are both also anti social and introverted by nature and due to past experiences that have scarred our self esteem. I don't ever know what most people are talking about these days until I hear a bunch of people talking about it and then I search it up. I'm also very different from many people my age, I don't own a single piece of designer clothing. All people who we are close friends with are introverted like us and nowhere near popular. Also we almost never go on vacation like everyone else because it's just so expensive and it makes us upset to see everyone else having fun this summer while we are just locked away from the world. I spend way too much time just alone playing video games or with the few friends I do have online. I feel so locked away because of who I am. |

Question: I dropped my friend, should I text her and apologize or move on? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 01:26 PM PDT We were friends for like 2 years. She got a bf and now I hardly see her.Its been like 8 months trying to hang out with her,but she is either busy or something.I see her on multiple trips with her bf and her other friend, but we cant hangout for 1 day. When I expressed that to her,she said that she is bad at balancing her bf and her friends, but she values me as a friend, ok.I then invited her to a paid event in nyc which would happen a month later.she was excited to go.During the next month,I still never seen her.One day I was in her town, & I called her to see if she was available. No pick up.She then texted me a day later finally responding to a conversation we had a week ago! Im conviced she doesnt care for me,most decent people, would at least callback or text me asking whats up, or sorry I missed the call. Not what she did.So now the nyc event was days away & Im really not interested in going with her anymore.I didn't want to force being with her that day & even forcing the friendship. So she was texting me to see if we were still going,& i ignored her.The day of, she was texting me & I told her that I was trying to keep our friendship, but I dont want to force it and force myself to be with her that day just because I invited her.So I end up still going to the event with my cousin. I know it was a messed up thing to do, but I felt like if i went with her,I would be playing myself and disregarding my feelings like I always tend to do.I wanted to finally love and respect myself. |

Question: Was I right for unfriending my bestfriend? ( PLEASE READ ALL)? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 11:59 AM PDT So my bestfriend and I have known each other since freshman year only was it then junior year we got extremely close. I was bullied by a group of girls that were once my friends so when I stop being my friend, my bestfriend was there she was the only one I had, so later on junior year she turned 18 and moved away to near by city, we were still close and hung out we would hang out, but she wasn't in school anymore, then senior year came and the vibes changed, she would lie to me ALOT, she was jealous of me, and she wasn't happy anymore about my accomplishments she would totally ignore them, towards the end of senior year she came up with the dumbest excuse not to come to my graduation, I forgave her like 2 weeks later, so she came in a personal issue like 2 months ago which caused to move out from where she was, and I payed money for her to move back here, when she got here she complained a lot, very ungrateful and rude. She has mental issues and I tried being there for her, but it effects me in a negative way, I texted her and I told her I no longer wanted to be friends, was I wrong??? |
Question: My friend keeps copying everyhting that I do.? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 11:32 AM PDT Okay, so I didn't notice this at first but my friend began to copy some of my mannerisms. The thing here is I know that it's normal for humans to imitate certain behaviour when they're close to someone, but then it started getting worse. I recently got into K-Pop and Jazz, and she used to HATE it. I'm not talking general disregard or dislike, I'm talking actual hatred for those two genres. She always told me that they were (and I quote) "retarded", but as soon as I got into it, se was obssessed, it got to the point where her bias' name was written in brackets next to her own name, like "NAME (BIAS NAME)". It was disconcerting because she was suddenly in love with a genre that she used to hate. I game a lot as well, you name it, I play it. She used to HATE gaming culture, but since she has discovered my videogaming habits she's begging her parents for a PS4, 45+ games (same games as mine), and suddenly wants to be a "gamer girl", when I asked her about her sudden conversion, she mumbled something, and returned to playing Until Dawn on my PS4, while sitting on my comforter, using my controller. Recently she came over, and when she did she took my clothes out of my closet to wear. She comes from a conservative muslim family, and her parents don't allow her to wear certain clothes, so at first it didn't seem like much, but now she's copied my entire style, and her wardrobe is filled with clothes like mine. I feel like I don't have my own personality anymore. Help? |

Question: I kissed a guy, does this make me gay? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 10:31 AM PDT So my friend was over at my house (we're both guys) and we were sitting on the couch talking, and somehow we got to talking about kissing and he asked me if I ever tried anything with another guy. I said no and he was like... well do you wanna try it? I was like yeah sure.. and he kissed me. But I really liked it... I ask him if he wants to do it again and we made out. It was the best feeling ever and he is an amazing kisser. Why did I like it so much? Am I gay? |

Question: How to forget a fake friend? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 07:54 AM PDT So I had this friend who I thought was a best friend but really wasn't. We both cut ties with each other but to be honest it did do me a huge favour cause she wasn't a good friend in the end. She showed her true self when we went out for her birthday 2 years ago I was trying to socialise with her friends& mingle but whilst talking with them I don't think she liked it at all she tried to barge me out the way and talk to them so then i was left out. Leading to it I have anxiety issues i tend to find things scarier like fair rides, rollercoasters with a fear of heights so I really panic. She posted publicly online in sarcasm saying I'm like this butterfly in a cocoon who doesn't enjoy the fun things in life& hides away from the world not facing its fears which is all untrue like i go travelling on holiday in the summer, I've been to concerts to see my favourite artists etc so actually i enjoy a lot in life but cause I don't happen to enjoy the things she enjoys plus having anxiety doesn't make it any easier but at the end sarcastilly she said about me to keep walking far far away out her life as possible. Seems she was never a friend but the good what came out of it was a lesson I learnt! I have moved on but sometimes the memories creep back & I feel slightly sad probably cause we had good ones too but.. I don't like to think about it cause she's not relevant in my life anymore since it's years ago and in the past how can I forget about it& remove the thoughts? |

Question: No friends for birthday? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 07:16 AM PDT I'm turning 16 tomorrow and have no friends. My parents seem very adamant about me celebrating, and I don't know what to do. Keep in mind that my parents take no interest in indulging any of my hobbies because they have no interest in them unless they will help me get into college, get me a 6 figure salary, or make me friends (which i have trouble doing). |

Question: Was she saying I’m her best girl friend? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 03:55 AM PDT I was talking to a friend about how I don't have many friends. She said "I only have one, true girlfriend" and she touched her heart and paused for a while, looking at me, repeating "one" for a bit. |
Question: How would you describe a person that’s crazy and rotten? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 02:09 AM PDT One of my former friends I closed the door on recently said really bad things about my grade school teacher. I invited her to my college graduation and I invited my grade school teacher. Although my former friend doesn't know my grade school teacher, she said she looked ten years older than her, had too much makeup on, and with her "psychic abilities," she saw my dad having an affair with my teacher. I thought that was extremely rude and it sounded very jealous. She told me not to tell my parents, but I told them anyway. She was so angry when she found out I told my parents and said that our friendship is over with. Most of my friends that I hang out with now told me they're glad I got rid of her. They said she sounds like a crazy, rotten person. What's your definition of a crazy, rotten person? |
Question: Does he really have no friends? I dont get this? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 12:09 AM PDT I am a female and this man acts like I am his only friend. He told me he is very lonely and does not have the friends he used to have. ..but I see he has almost 700 facebook friends and he seems smart, nice and also good looking (as you can probably see). However, he is actually quite a bit older then myself and he also does not have much money so I know that might be an issue for him but to me the whole thing makes no sense. ..but yet he keeps trying to hang out with me and when I cant hang out with him he seems to suffer from such loneliness..as if I am all hes got. ..his only hope for a friend. Please help me figure this out..is he lying? or is he really this lonely? and why? it makes no sense. Thanks and will choose a best answer |
Question: I'm confused. Why is he doing this? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 12:05 AM PDT We broke up and when I tried going back(6 months ago) he said he wouldn't forgive me for saying something about his mom when he said something to mine first(idiotic).I didn't chase him. We ran into eachother one day i expected him to ignore but he smiled and said hi.Now he keeps looking at me, making eye contact and i caught him looking at me sneakily through the door crack. He's started coming out about the same time as I do and he said hi hesitantly and smiling. Few Sundays ago I was going down the stairs and he was behind me. He was "on the phone" saying he was leaving church and would call back which wasn't necessary since church was already over. I feel like he did it so I'd know he was behind me. We walked next to eachother he smiled and said how are you. We had a few exchanges and I asked him about his sick brother. The following week he didnt show himself inside church(he's a deacon) as I was leaving he was behind me going down the stairs. I turned around just saw a glimpse of him and turned back around didn't say hi. It was my birthday this Sunday, we kept looking at eachother, he came out at the same time as I was leaving but I got caught up with church members otherwise we'd be gong down the stairs together. I'm assuming he did this because he wanted to talk. Could he be wanting to make a move? Why wouldn't he text me though? |
Question: Should I contact her again? Posted: 07 Jul 2018 10:19 PM PDT I was in a student film for the director's final. I was in a small scene, but still. The student film was filmed on June 18th. I avoided contacting her because I thought I would be a pest, but I contacted her on July 1st about when the film would be completed. She said that she's almost done with it and that it would probably be done by the middle of the week. I said okay. It's June 7th now and still nothing. I'm very anxious and I want footage of the film. I want to contact her again, but again, I don't know if I would be a pest. Should I contact her again? What should I do?? |
Question: Initiating in friendships..? Posted: 07 Jul 2018 10:12 PM PDT I feel like I am always the one who has to initiate conversations and texts in most of my friendships. When a friend sees me around campus or somewhere, they will come up to me and initiate conversation and they want to hang out with me but whenever I don't see anyone for a while (like during summer break), I am always the one who has to text them and start a conversation. Am I doing something wrong? Should I do something differently? |
