Question: I hate my mom so much? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 02:15 PM PST She calls me fat when I am only 111 pounds and 5'3" and I play soccer so I have very muscular legs and today she transferred $3 from my bank account because my sister came into my room this morning with $3 and asked me to braid her hair. She tolf my mom that i asked for the money and so my mom transferred that money out, I said that was unbelievable, she now won't let me go out with my friends which I have been planning to do for the past week. She legit hates me and she only loves my younger sister, my older sister also gets yelled at. I also have a B- in my accelerated junior math class (I am a freshman) and she consistently yells at me that I am dumb and I need to get my grade up to a B+ before this Friday or else she is going to take away my phone for 6 months. She makes me want to die and I have seriously thought about that because if she came home and saw me dead she would be happy. Oh and I am missing $750 from my bank account for no reason. Most likely her because she doesn't work hard enough like my dad does. I think my dad is the only one keeping me alive at this point. Ahh this really helped me vent. I am calmer now and I am doing my homework again.. Thanks for the answers. |
Question: I hate my mom so much. I either want her dead or me dead? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 02:07 PM PST Occasionally she can be nice, but other times she is so unfair! Today, my sister paid me three dollars to braid her hair, and she told my mom that I made her pay and I explained that my sister walked into my room with the money, I didn t ask for it. My mom proceeded to transfer THREE DOLLARS from my bank account to my sisters, then sent a screenshot of the transaction and said "I m all happy now" with a smiley face emoji. I said that was unbelievable and now she won t let me go out with my friends. She obviously hates me more than anyone else in my family. And, the other day, I told her I thought my butt had cellulite and she told me it was because i ate like sh*t and now whenever i eat a few chips she takes the bag away and tells me all I do is binge eat. I am 111 pounds and I am 5 foot 3. She hates me and I always tell her that she does and that she is unfair, but she just yells at me. She has thrown water bottles at me. and I obviously do not want her dead but I want her off my case |
Posted: 07 Nov 2017 02:07 PM PST She has told me not to use her dishwasher but I don't have one and she will not care. I told her I do not want to leave until my dishes are washed but I don't think she cares much. Should I stay in the house all night until she decides to let me wash the dishes? |
Question: What to do when no one in your family cleans up after themselves? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 02:05 PM PST I am an 18 year old girl living with my mom, 15 year old brother, and 22 year old sister. My mom mostly cleans, although not every day. But she's a single mom and she works a lot while studying for her masters degree, so she does her best. Besides her, I am the only one who cleans. Our home gets neglected quite frequently, mainly the kitchen and bathrooms. My siblings will just use a dish/utensil/cookware and leave it when they're done. They don't wash it, they don't even always put it in the sink. They leave trash sitting out on the counters when the trash can is literally 2 feet away. It's mostly just laziness and out of habit. We've lived like this forever, and I'm tired of it. These are GROWN children. They can't just have mommy do their dishes all the time. I share a bathroom with my sister, and it would be a mess if it wasn't for ME cleaning it when necessary. I just don't know what to do. I'm moving out in a few months, so I won't have to deal with it much longer. But it annoys me that grown children have no cleaning responsibilities. If they want to leave their bedrooms a mess, I believe that's on them. But a clean kitchen is a must. We have a big kitchen and recently our entire countertop had dirty dishes on it. I had a friend come over and it was really embarrassing. So how can we realistically fix this problem? Obviously we need to come together as a family, but I feel like no one is willing to do that. |
Posted: 07 Nov 2017 02:04 PM PST i work at a movie theater and my parents want to go to Mexico from dec 31st to jan 13th. i already talked to my manager and she was kinda anal about it, she said " you know that's our busiest time and blah blah this and you're 18 so if you were underage it would be different and blah blah that". she didn't say no, but she told me that she would give me an answer at my next shift and she never did. My parents already bought the tickets and although I'm 18 i still live under their roof and they financially support me in every way. I want to write her a really professional good convincing email. |

Question: Was what my mom did the kinkiest thing ever? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 01:02 PM PST My mom had to go to a business meeting out of state. She tried to get reservations at a hotel and the hotels were all full because a convention was in town. My ex husband Sam lives in the town and mom always liked Sam when we were married. In what I thought was a bold move, mom called Sam and ask him if she could stay with him for one night. He readily agreed. He met her at the airport, took her to his condo and then to a nice restaurant for dinner. He then took her to her meeting the next morning. When she got home she told me all this and how nice Sam was too her. I asked her if there was anything else I should know about her visit with Sam. She said jokingly (I think) you will have to wait 9 months to find out. OH MY GOD. That is the KINKIEST THING EVER. Should a mother even jokingly tell her daughter something like that? |

Question: Why is my Mother more proud my Sister than she is of me? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 12:20 PM PST Hello Yahoo, I am a 21 year old female. My sister is 23. I've been through a lot coming up, and my Mom has always been there, but since I got older it's like she is more fond of my sister success. I was the first one to find a job, I graduated high school on time, not my sister. I continued my education, she didn't. Once I graduated school that was the last I heard my mom say I'm proud of you, but every time my Sister accomplishes something she praise her. Like now, I have a job that pays 13 an hour, my sister is making 7.25 and my Mom let's everyone know that my sister j7st got a job but not me. I have a car and I just got an apartment. Never heard her say I'm proud. When I went to community college she didn't even want to take me, but when I got pregnant in 2015 she took me to every appointment and took me to apply for assistance. It's so weird. What am I not understanding? Sometimes I feel like she's jealous of me. |

Question: Is it wrong to say that “My world does not revolve around you” ? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 11:18 AM PST To all the Parents: is it wrong to say that "My world does not revolve around you" Let me explain. I'm 21. I take care of my parents because their sick. First off, he's my real dad (66) and my step mom (73) I barely go out and very little social life. Whenever i go out, i have to go home early because no one has to cook for them especially weekends. Back story: my biological mother died when i was 15. Cancer. She was sick too. She used to beat me up ALOT and still I took care of her. And thats when i had to live with my real dad's family which i met only 4 years ago. I don't mind doing this for them because i love them but they have to realise that i have a life too. I will need to go and do my own thing, I can't be with them 24/7. Whenever I go out, I am treated like a kid, being interrogated and asked so many questions and I have a curfew. Is it wrong to say that? "My world does not revolve around you." I'm saying that not in a bad way. I want to take care of you guys but think of my happiness too. I need to live life too. |

Question: Is it too late to ask this of us for Thanksgiving? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 10:14 AM PST My wife and I have been married some 8 years, together a total of about 15 years. Every other year we spend Thanksgiving dinner at the in-laws. One year with her parents then the next with mine. Last year we spent with her family at a time-share resort some 4 hours away from our city. So, naturally, this year we are supposed to spend dinner with my parents and family. Today, my wife just sent me an email said that her mom wanted us to hose Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year because she didn't feel like cooking. Several problems come to mind. (1) We've not eating with them this year because of eating with them last year. (2) Her mom didn't do all the cooking last year either. We all chipped in and made a few dishes to took with us. And (3), with Thanksgiving being about 2 weeks away is it not last minute to spring this on us to host the family? For something like this I would need at least 6 months in advance to prepare and plan. I told my wife to tell her that we're eating with my family this year since we were with them last year. And why can't her other sister host that side of the family? I don't have a problem fixing a dish and dropping it off but to host the whole thing at this time is out of the question. Why'd she wait so long to ask us to do it? I told he we could do it next year but this year is out of the question. My wife seems a little upset about it. |
Question: Family and Child Protective Services? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 10:05 AM PST I have a family member that has a child that the child really need some help and the family member simply doesn't know what to do nor does she know how to help and she's afraid that she or her daughter will get in trouble so she does nothing. I know someone needs to step in so I thought about calling Child Protective Services myself but I'm also worried because I I love them and I don't want to see them broken up but I also really want her to get help before something worse than what's already happened |
Question: How do I handle my child's jealousy? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 09:44 AM PST My child has jealousy and anger issues. He's mainly jealous over his cousin. His cousin is only 8 months younger than him. When his cousin gets more attention than usual for example, his birthday or when my sister is over and plays with his cousin too, he gets really huffy and exaggerative to get more attention than him. Or, when his cousin gets different things than him because it's out of my control...last night, I told my son he could have a candy in an hour if he behaved and his cousin asked me for one too and then told me he's getting two candies because his grandma told him he could, then he'll say, "Why does HE get two candies and I only get one?!" I responded with, "Life isn't always fair, you will be happy with one. Next time you ask me why my cousin get more or whatever, I'm giving him more and you're getting nothing. Stop worrying about your cousin." I don't feel like I handled that right though. Does anyone have any idea on how to deal with jealousy? He's 6 years old and his cousin just turned 6. |
Question: I'd like to have a mattress and no box spring but my parents won't allow it? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 09:31 AM PST So I know this is rather stupid but I don't like my bed being high from the ground. What are some things I could do to convince them? |
Question: Should I leave my house?? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 08:42 AM PST i am 17 i turn 18 in 3 months, my mom is a total *****! she makes me pay rent, my own food, and pretty much everything i need or want in life i pay for myself. While my 24 year old sister lives completely rent free. even though i pay rent and act like an adult i am not treated like one. i have an 8 o clock curfew even on weekends! I still have to ask if i can do stuff. I have a job that i work 6/7 days a week so i can pay rent on time. I dont have a license bc my mom is making pay for my own car and i barely make enough to pay rent let alone buy a car. what triggered me wanting to run way is my mom grounded me for 3 months no going out, no visitors, nothing besides school and work. she wont tell me why im grounded even though i asked. she told me last night that she didnt care about my punishment and that i wasnt grounded anymore and that im mature enough to make my own decisions, and know the truth. so i told her that i was going out tonight w my bf (who she has met many times and likes him) and she flipped. She said if i did then she make my life a living hell. My bf said i could crash at his place for a little while. His family really likes me and doesnt have a problem with it. the problem is how am i gonna get to school and home and then work? but idk if i can stay there much longer. and the city bus doesnt run through my bfs town also my mom is like this huge drunk and stoner and its annoying bc she yells at me if i even think of that stuff yet she does much worse. my brother and sister both went to prison and she still treats them better than she treats me. |
Question: Since my Mexican father can't speak English is he pretty much a Dumbb Bitttch? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 08:17 AM PST |
Posted: 07 Nov 2017 06:57 AM PST I have been with my bf for 3 years now. We have 2 girls under 2 and he has 15 and 7 year old boy living with us. He doesn't have any rules for them. They come home and run straight into their room to play video games all night. They ignore my daughters unless we make them play with them. I wanted house rules and chores to teach them life skills. It was the 15 year olds job to do the dishes. I realize they were all dirty. They had either food or grease still on them. I asked him to make him redo them until he did a good job. Instead he did them himself and said he'd have a Talk with him. Fastforward 2 weeks and he has done the dishes 5 times now and each time they are still all dirty. I get angry every time I see they're dirty.I wanted their bathroom done. It took him 3 times to clean it right. He has taught the 15 year old no skills. He is scared of people, he can't clean, can't pay attention to detail,he can't take care of himself. My boyfriend still gets his plates of dinner ready for him. He wouldn't be able to function in a job interview. He couldn't have the lowest job of a dish washer at a restaurant or a cleaning person. Is there any hope for his kid if he doesn't start doing it my way?The 15 yr old is type 1 diabetic and I fear he is going to kill himself without my boyfriend there to take care of him. I want a few chores to be done everyday and done until they are right. I want family time and I want video games limited. Am I in the wrong for being upset about this? |
Question: My sister has been missing since 1968, should I have any hope of finding her? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 06:38 AM PST She ran away at 17 and a letter came a year later that she left voluntarily and was safe but would never be contacting us again. That was in 1968 and was the last word. My Mom committed suicide over it three years later and my Dad was able to move on after that as it was just he and I. My Dad died last year at 94. I am wondering if their would be any hope in me finding my sister at this point. Another sibling we had drowned in a pool at age four causing some of the dysfunction my sister was running away from. I never married so am the only immediate family member. |

Question: How to deal with my mom being jealous of me? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 04:49 AM PST I used to depend on my mom all the time To take me places and by me things but I found out the hard way that I'll never be happy and at peace until I become "independent" but even than of course she was angry. But it's like Every since I got a job a few months ago and brought my first car a month ago she's been really jealous. She gets mad when I by my own groceries. When I go places she gets an attitude..the other day when I went out to eat she got so angry and said "I should of brought back something for my greedy brothers " when they eat out all the time..she just seems really angry and I think shes jealous but why? She has a job that pays more and a better new car? |

Question: What's My Dad's Problem? Posted: 07 Nov 2017 12:07 AM PST So I'm a 15 year old girl and my dad is being really annoying these past few years. Sometimes I buy clothes/ shoes online and he always says I have too many clothes even though I usually shop once a month when I go out with my parents. I bought a pair of sneakers with embroidered roses on them and my dad got angry until I told him I used my own gift card to buy it. And then he complains and asks if you could wear those shoes in school. Of course you can wear sneakers to school. His arguments don't even make sense. He always gets angry when I buy stuff online even though this is the first time in a few months where I've bought anything online. Plus, he gets really annoyed with makeup. Whenever I wear makeup he tells me "young girls who wear makeup have no future." He's honestly so ignorant sometimes. He pesters me about what I want to do when I grow up and frequently tells me he's "concerned for my future." He annoys me by pushing SAT books into my face. I get decent grades and am on the honor roll but he always acts like I'm just going to end up living in the basement for the rest of my life. |
Posted: 06 Nov 2017 11:39 PM PST My husband and I let his sister move in with us. Staying for almost 2 months. She got kicked out of her moms house. She's 24. She didn't have a job so we were providing her ciggerettes, beer, food, bought her a bed, all the way to her using our washer and dryer, and has food provided for her, basically living the life for free. Taking her out to eat spending money out of kindness and never throwing in her face, till now of course. She finally got a job, and we asked for her to pay 200 dollars every paycheck leaving her with 360 left over. She started to say how 200 dollars is too much money for her to be having to pay. We didn't ask for her first pay check we waited for her second pay check to take the first rent out. Didn't even sign a agreement about it because she is family. She started getting rude and mouthy on top of it so my husband kicked her out because he was mad. Is 200 too much to ask for? Am I missing something? Who is wrong here? |
Question: Why is he staring if he said this? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 11:33 PM PST He and I broke up 2 months ago and I started going to church and found him staring at me 2 weeks in a row so I texted him but he said he was offended which is why it wouldn't work and why he wouldn't allow himself to have feelings for me again. I didn't respond. I've been going to church since then it's been almost a month, i don't look at him and have given him a dirty look couple times. He literally doesn't take his eyes off me my family says...confused. My friends say it's a longing stare |
Question: My sister gets mad when i leave her room? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 11:15 PM PST It's starting to take a toll on me. my little sister which is 14 (i'm 16) tells me to come to her room 'cause she's lonely, but she gets really really mad when i try to leave after like 30 minutes of hanging out. she tells me i "can't just come to leave" it's to the point where i have to stand by her door for 10 minutes until she wraps her head around the fact that i'm leaving. i wouldn't mind so much if she hadn't gotten violent many times. for instance just today she threw something pointy at my neck and it still hurts. she has clawed me before. and threw heavy things at me. it makes me really depressed how she thinks she entitled to my time and how she dumps her emotions on me. i tell her these things yet she never listens. she acts like i need to listen to and work through all of her irrational and bigoted feelings with her. what do i do?. i want to be a good older sister but isn't that ironic when she's anything but |
Question: What s another way to say I m in between jobs that family and friends may find acceptable? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 10:55 PM PST The holidays are coming up and I don t have a job. Family and friends will always ask about your work. "How s work" "Where are you working right now" "What do you do for money"? I need to know the best responses to questions like these. I prefer something short and sweet that will shut the conversation down and not get everyone talking about how I m not working. The truth is awkward so I need a good lie. Please help me to survive the holidays. |
Posted: 06 Nov 2017 10:45 PM PST Legit my brother drinks every night and I'll say something (like anything) and he will flip out and talk **** and I can't Handel it and my mom legitimately backs him up on EVERYTHING he says and this isn't the case of "you favorite.... more" like full on stands by him and talks for him after he's done yelling at me. And I can't move out because I'm broke I just don't know what to do I've tried everything.... |

She got a job and we asked her to give us 200 dollars a pay check leaving her with 360 dollars to herself. She even ate our food wasn t too caring on how much she ate literally ate all of the eggs, cheese, bread, anything that was easy to make. And she said after paying the 200 that it s too much money and she needs to save money. Question: I don't want my mom to start dating? I know it's selfish but I'm scared.? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 08:51 PM PST So, I'm 14 years old, female. I have lived with my mom all my life, my father isn't in the picture, nor does he wish to be. I am fine with it, you know, whatever. I never met him, don't care. So, this means I've never had a father figure, nor other siblings/parents to share my mother with. Recently, it has come to my attention my mother is starting to date again. A man who she had met in high school, and dated back then. He seems like a decent enough guy. Two kids (twin boys, 15) He is separated, but not divorced from his wife. I have not met him yet, but I am scared to. I don't want my mom dating him, or anyone for that matter. I want her to be mine. It's how we have been for 14 years and I don't know why we have to add more people into the mix. We have been happy together, she has raised me on her own. I am.. in tears at the though of her dating someone. He lives an hour and a half away, and they haven't seen each other in years. Yet connected over Facebook again and all. I recently had surgery on my spine, and he has invited us to come visit him once I am better. My mom thinks this will be in a week or two. I am scared sh*tless over it, I don't want to meet him, I don't want to meet his kids. I don't want a man in my life! I don't want to have to listen to someone I barely know. I've never met him for gods sake. Only seen one dang picture of the man! I know it's selfish and stupid. but I just don't want her dating again. I don't know what to do, thanks in advance. |
Question: PLEASE HELP ME MY LIFE SUCKS? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 08:40 PM PST I'm a 21 year old college student and am finishing college next year. I live with my mum, dad and 17 year old sister. A few months ago my mum verbalised to me how absurd it was for my sister to ask her for a boy to sleepover. My sister was dating some guy last year, who she slept with after a few weeks of dating lol. She had been cheating on the guy with his friend and now she has been dating the friend for maybe 6 months. My mum lets him sleepover and I feel really uncomfortable? I just hate the idea of some random guy coming to stay with us? Who would let their daughter do this? I would be okay with it if they had been dating for at least a year but my mum is basically letting a strange boy into our house. The thing that tipped me over the edge happened 2 nights ago. Its Tuesday now and he's been here since Sunday :( Sunday night they went out and came back at 2am Monday morning. I was up studying, like I always am. I could hear them having sex so loud. I shouted my sister's name and didn't get a response. I then had to go and knock on the door so loud so they would stop :( Now I feel so uncomfortable at home. I can't even comfortably go into the lounge when they're there. I told my mum what happened and she doesn't care that I feel uncomfortable... She says I'm being mean by not speaking to my sister and her boyfriend. I don't think I am because I think its very rude and disrespectful. I haven't even been able to sleep properly. Last night I had to sleep on the floor in another room because I was afraid of hearing them having sex again. I understand sex is normal, but I find it so disgusting that they do it in a house that is not even theirs with no respect to the person right next door (me). I have anxiety and being in this uncomfortable situation with a strange guy etc is difficult for me. I have two exams on Thursday and Friday. I haven't been able to study properly. I just feel like crying. I wish I could just move out because no one ever takes my concerns seriously. My parents are too laid back. I wish they were more strict. I have my own boyfriend of 4 years and I would never feel comfortable having him stay at our house for more than one day. I feel like this house is a brothel. |

Question: How do I choose a major? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 05:56 PM PST I have a useless AA degree that could only get me a $10 job. I can't decide between nursing, dentistry or psychology. All I want is to get out of my dad's house because I can't make one financial decision without consulting him. I only get $100 a month and I keep my pet cat fed and loved but my dad always complains because of her. I can't stand my brother. Should I do dental hygiene so I can get the hell out and feel like my own person. |
Question: Who do I call reguarding tax benefits? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 05:54 PM PST I am 17 years old and my mom died when I was 12 my mom and dad have been divorced since I was 3 and my dad has been getting tax benefits for me from my moms taxes and recently I moved out and moved in with my moms sister for dramatic reasons. My dad gets 2000$ for me a month and he's only giving my aunt 100 a week which in my opinion is absolutely rediculous and I think 400$ a month out of 2000$ from MY MOMS taxes is rediculous i don't know what he does with the 1600$ he keeps but I don't want him getting that money when I'm not even under his roof he relies on my moms tax dollars to support me not paying anything out of his own pocket he says it's just his child support coming back to him which in my head sounds like he's ******* my deceased mother over, my aunt needs more than 400$ a month to buy food, toiletries, essentials, clothes, ect who do I call to have this money transferred to my aunt instead of my dad? |

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 05:13 PM PST I have not seen my family back in my country for two years now. Last summer my sister was supposed to come to visit me, although she purchased her ticket, she decided not to come. In those days for two months she stopped answering her phone, then no explanation. Now I will go visit my mother who is elderly. I dont know if I should make attempt to see my sister too. They live in the same town. I have been abroad for many years. I spend all my vacation time to visit my mother and all family because it is usually cheaper for me to go visit all of my family then for them to visit me individually. Nobody realizes that I dont get to have any real vacation but visit the family, sleep on couches rather than comfortable beds or go another place for site seeing. Now that my sister did not bother to at least honor her ticket, I feel like I dont want to see her. Am I being childish? Thoughts? |
Posted: 06 Nov 2017 04:53 PM PST Her whole family is this way so it is how she was raised. |
Posted: 06 Nov 2017 04:45 PM PST Right now my whole life is based on trying to win my Dad back. He left my mother when I was 15 and only has seen us once since. His family no longer sees us either other then our grandmother and one cousin of mine who comes with her. I feel no joy in my Mom or her family cause all my efforts are to win my Dad back so I resent having a close Mom when I have no Dad. It makes no sense but it is how I feel. She keeps saying bad things about him and that hurts all the more. He abandoned us though, she didn't push him out or alienate us from him. |
Posted: 06 Nov 2017 04:43 PM PST She never looked pregnant and disappeared for the last 3 months of the pregnancy. She is known to lie for attention. When she said she miscarried my parents and aunt offered to put together a funeral. She showed up with an urn and wouldn't let us look inside it and was insisting it be buried fast, before the service. She wouldn't let us see the babies (it was supposedly twins) before cremation. Yet, she was whaling at the memorial service and had pictures of dead infants. |
Posted: 06 Nov 2017 04:40 PM PST My sister says things with no consideration for the hurt it causes to other people. She is 24. My kids want to go to Grandma's for Thanksgiving and I so far refuse cause my sister is there. |
Question: My grandfather has been caught cheating, and is planning on picking a fight, help!?!? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 04:34 PM PST My grandmother busted my grandfather for cheating on her and is devastated. Now she's not talking to him. My grandfather is a Veteran from the Airforce and is ranting, as well as taking his anger out on Conor McGregor, in order to change the topic of his infedelity. He is now saying that if McGregor encountered him in real life, he would be flattened by a pancake and is complaining that HE is the reason why my grandfather's marriage failed. |

Question: How do I get over my Mom's 2012 death here at the holidays? Posted: 06 Nov 2017 04:32 PM PST It is not just losing her but losing all of her family who no longer want to see us. Her death was a suicide and they I guess blame us which makes me blame myself more. They used to like us and I lost not just her but her entire family. |
