Question: Photo fun for wedding guests? Posted: 03 Apr 2016 06:39 PM PDT My friends had all their guests take fun pictures, sign a paper, and used those pictures for their wedding guest book rather than just have their guests sign a book. Problem is I do not know what this type of photo opt is called and have no clue where to look. It s not a photobooth rental. Help. |

Question: Stepmother and Son Song? Posted: 03 Apr 2016 01:31 PM PDT My fiance and I are getting married this June. We have been working on reception music and are working on the mother/son dance. His mom adopted him when he was eight. Then in high school they had a falling out, but have since made things right. We have been searching for a good song that shows her how important she really is to him. Thank you! |
Question: Is it OK if I don't invite my parents to my wedding, what do you think? Posted: 03 Apr 2016 01:29 PM PDT I had a tarnished childhood that I don't want to talk about. My mom has actual issues as in mental issues and my father... I can't explain our relationship. But I didn't have a happy childhood. I get that I may regret it and sometimes I feel like I should invite them but these people make me unhappy sometimes, especially my mom. I just can't describe the hatred I feel towards them sometimes. At times I'm like whatever I'll just invite them they're my parents but then I have these old childhood memories.. Ok so by issues I guess I should explain.. we had to go to the sheriff on her. I never had the good mother daughter relationship that I wanted. |
Question: Wrong not to invite stepfamily members? Posted: 03 Apr 2016 12:47 PM PDT I'm not talking about my dads wife. Of course she's going to be invited, because she is married to my dad. It's her kids, parents, siblings and nieces and nephews I'm referring to. My main reason for not wanting to invite them is I'm not close to them and I'm not included in their family events. It was always made clear to me that my dad was a welcome part of their family, but my sister and I were not. My dads wife tried really hard with us for the first two years, until she asked us to change our last name to our dads (we have our moms last name) and when we refused, she treated us like sh*t. My dad never said a word and our relationship is strained because of this. When my sister got married, she invited our dad with a plus one, but didn't list his wife's name on the invitation, which angered them. But then she didn't invite her family and they still talk about it three years later. So I know this will probably come up again and again. I just don't care. I already know my dad has to deal with it at home because of my sisters wedding, but I don't feel like I need to do him any favors. However, I've been informed by certain people in my life that it's considered rude because they're my dads family. But since he's not paying for the wedding, I don't think that should factor in. @g I know it was rude and I'm not going to do that. But my sister has her own added issues and was making a point and didn't care about rude or not rude. @Mr.347 The more guests doesn't mean the more gifts when it comes to these people. But even if it did, I'm not inviting people for gifts. |

Posted: 03 Apr 2016 09:33 AM PDT I KNOW I POSTED THIS THE OTHER DAY. I would just like to say that I am NOT immature and only looking forward to the wedding. I think it would be awesome getting to live with your best friend and see them every morning and night. And getting to find a home and have kids and go on trips together. And i do know it wont always be perfect. My grandparents were married 51 years and perfect together, but idk I don't think I'll ever find someone who wants to love me forever. I am high strung, a little vain, and not as smart as others. I have a good heart but that's it. :/ I feel like its so hard to "fit" with someone. People have so many different opinions and views and interests, and even if you have something in common, theres probably 100 things you don't. I don't get how two people can be compatible enough to be together forever, Which things are deal breakers and which aren't? Its a beautiful thought, but it seems like a fantasy for me. Wanted stories of your happy marriage or nice stories of some? |

Question: Should my girlfriend be invited to my best friends wedding? Read below for more info? Posted: 03 Apr 2016 05:20 AM PDT So basically I have agreed to be a bridesmaid at my best friends wedding which I am so excited about! I have wanted to be a bridesmaid ever since I was a little girl 😊. However the only problem is that I now have a girlfriend (yes I am gay and she has known this for quite a while). She is saying that my girlfriend can't come to the wedding because all the places etc have already been worked out. All other boyfriends etc have been invited and are attending. I just can't help feeling that it has got something to do with the fact that I am dating another girl. I know that the bride is totally accepting but the grooms family probably aren't. Could this be the reason that I will be the only one there without a partner to share it with? |
