Question: Am I wrong for wanting to get married and have kids rather than getting a job? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 01:47 PM PDT I'm 22 F, My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year. I recently started my degree and I feel like its a waste of time because all I see myself doing is getting married and having a family. I don't want a job, my boyfriend also said he wants me to be a housewife once we're married because he has a steady job and can support us. This aside, my mom recently passed away and my dad and brother do not have steady jobs. They work on and off or when work is available to them. My house is currently being extended. It is a large extension which has been happening for the past 6 years but due to our financial situation it's only halfway completed. My mom always wanted me to complete my degree, get steady a job and help my father and brother financially. She said i'm the family's only hope. I want to help them but I don't see myself having a job. I feel guilty for wanting the marriage and kids life when my own family needs my help. |

Question: I slept with 2 men and now im 3 months PREGNANT !? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 12:07 PM PDT Before you call me a slut or a hoe i just made a mistake young (21 years old) and not thinking long term . So me and my boyfriend have been sleeping together for 2 years now unprotected and he always ejaculates in me. In February we were still sexually active but we were having alot of problems and i just got fed up with his bulls***(his cheating, disrespect, and him stealing from me) so i eventually broke up with him . I then went and talk to a friend about what i was going through and he was understanding and comforting and in the moment it felt good to have someone to listen to me and we ended up having sex (protected) he ejaculated in the condom and we checked it to see if it broke and we didnt see anything wrong with it and that was the only time we had sex. When i told my boyfriend he was excited because he's been trying for kids for 4 years . When i told my friend he quickly denied it could be his because he wore a condom . My LMP was January 22nd and i had sex with my ex every week in January and February . I had sex with my friend about a week and a half before my expected period. I know i need a DNA test when my baby is born. But who do you guy think is more likely the dad ? |

Posted: 21 Apr 2016 11:20 AM PDT I am older and this immaturity is driving me crazy. He makes me feel unimportant. He is the only guy who does this to me and I've already told him that I didn't really appreciate it. It's annoying because I thought of him as a friend. I've known him for less than a year. Sadly, when we speak, it seems he never want to stop talking. |

Question: What to do for a coworker whose husband passed? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 10:39 AM PDT |
Posted: 21 Apr 2016 10:08 AM PDT Son's mother and I are on bad terms. We always have been. It was a one-night stand thing that resulted in our son. I was clear about just being friends with benefits before we even hooked up. I wasn't interested in anything more. At the time, she agreed. But now I'm the worst guy ever because I didn't change my mind on that. Believe me, I learned my lesson about being intimate with someone you don't know. I never did that again. She's nuts. I'm now married and my wife and I have been married 4 years now. I have primary custody of my son as well. Because she's a proven crazy, son's mother gets only 4 nights a month. Wife and I have a daughter who is a year old now. I did tell my son's mother when wife and I were expecting our first. Son's mother got angry about it. At a pick up, she yelled at my wife that she wanted her to miscarry (she is no longer welcome in the house - she stands outside now). Son's mother also told our son that we were having the baby to replace him, etc. It was dumb. My first reaction to to just let her find out about this one from our son. But...is that fair to him? I don't know how she'll react. So my question is: In a situation when you are expecting a child - and have a child with an "ex" - what is the etiquette? I did have full custody, but she got some days after playing the "I'm sorry. I'm now taking care of my mental disorder by taking my medication and seeing a therapist now" card. The Judge felt sorry for her. I now have primary custody. From the crazy emails I get, I don't think that is true. But our son does seem ok when he comes back from her house - but if there is ever a time that he doesn't, I'll go back to court. She does ask him questions. I know because she writes me angry emails where she tells me that I'm using to child support to fund my family trips, going to eat, eating steak for dinner, etc. She gives details that she could only get from our son. I waived her support down to $100/month, which helps pay for his morning latchkey. So I take it with a grain of salt; but it's irritating that she asks him. My lawyer said it's not enough to go to court over. |
Posted: 21 Apr 2016 09:37 AM PDT We have been together for 5 years and wanted to get married soon. He already has a 9 year old clear across the country and the relationship with his baby mama and how she treats me is bad to say the least. He had no idea and the girl that it was her boyfriend's baby but just found out that it's not. She wants my bf to do a DNA test next week. I am concerned, scared, sad and idk if I can handle this. We financially can't sup To be clear. He did not know about this child. He did not keep anything from me. He is just as shocked as I am. He is an amazing father to his other child and this isn't a matter of being there for this child if she is his. It's a matter if I can emotionally handle this again. It's hard. We were just getting back on our feet, planning our lives and wanting children soon. I'm not sure if I can handle it. |
Question: What does it mean when a guy asks about you and sends a "hello" ? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 09:25 AM PDT A few weeks ago My neighbor knocked on my door .. And he's says hey I want to meet my son .he came to visit from California . So his son introduces him self and he squints his eyes and he says " wow you are drop dead gorgeous " I'm replied thank you .. And he's says we'll try and come by before I leave .. I say ok I'll try so he leaves a week later and I don't see him again .so I run into his father and he's says yeah my son was telling me He thought you were pretty and he kept asking me to ask you to come over so he can talk to you but I didn't think you wanted to be bothered ..".so a few days ago His father (my neighbor)knocks on my door and he's like "oh my son wanted me to tell you he said hi" and he starts laughing ..and says "my son will be back to visit in a few weeks for my birthday".. |
Question: Turning 18 tomorrow? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 08:54 AM PDT So I'm pretty nervous/. Everyone says that "it just feels like another regular day". And I know it will! But I just wanted to know if I needed to change anything with my ID or insurance or my bank account or anything. What all do I need to take care of (if anything)? |
Question: My boss saw me crying and I am so embarrassed? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 08:46 AM PDT So I am a 17 year old girl. My boss is a 41 year old guy. He owns a small, family owned business. There are not many employees, but I am the only one who is not related to them. So here's what happened: I was walking to work and I made it to the parking lot. There was a weird man there who started asking me questions. He then tried to lure me into his car but I said no and started walking toward the business toward. He grabbed me from behind so I started screaming and crying while trying to get out of his grip. This all happened in front of the display window so my boss and and his son (who is also my coworker and a couple years older than me) saw everything. They ran outside to help me and went absolutely ballistic on the guy. I was a bit shaken up and was still upset about it so my boss sat down to talk to me. I hate crying in front of people. Literally I was crying in his arms for like a good 5-10ish minutes. So embarassing. How do I move on from this? And hope my boss forgets? |
Question: Was it sexual abuse? If so, any tips on what to do about it? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 07:56 AM PDT Possible trigger. My ex boyfriend "J" (age 19) and I (age 16 at the time) dated for about a year before I started calling him just a friend Because we would fight constantly. The last time I saw "J", we were in my room playing video games when I gave him a quick *******. Honestly, I don't understand my self why I did it but I did and I'm not looking for criticism here, but when I was done (it took 5mins tops) he insisted he returned the favor. He lingered on my body a little even though I stated I didn't want anything in return and I went to the bathroom to kind of escape. But he followed me in the bathroom, and proceeded to finger me. I did reinforce that I didn't want it, but he said I enjoyed it anyway. I've had minimum contact since then, including blocking his number (and parents). After the first week of ending the friendship he would call constantly, and log into my XBox live to see who I was talking to. Even though I had few friends as having a social life was hard to accomplish with him. I feel like I'm just rambling. If you have questions and/or answers please make a comment. ~Emily Any questions about "j" I can also answer. (High school drop out, used marijuana, divorced parents whom he fights with, bipolar) |
Question: Shall I continue no contact & never speak to him again, or reach out? Is there any hope? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 07:26 AM PDT I recently tried to talk to my now ex (he's 32, I'm 28)about what we want, but during the time he was apparently unwell & it was hard not being able to see him, or speak to him properly. I tried to reach out, but felt like i was getting nowhere. He also tried to sort of blame me, saying we never say I love you, as if it's just up to me to say it. He said it once, months ago, but i didn't take it seriously, as he thought I was upset at the time. Well I sort of broke it off, through frustration. I said some things about us that i felt bad for saying, but were true, so I apologised & said I felt out of order. He replied "I'm out of order but can't bare to break up or deal with this. Seeing you upset will haunt me. So I'm crap. And so sorry. There are no other 'girls.' or anything like that. I've been really ill. And can see i need to sort my life out. It's a really big mess & being with you is unfair for you & hard for me to cope with everything. I understand you being angry & I am too as I really do like you & think the world of you. I'm not cold & forgetful. This hurts every time I think about it." It seems he's just given up & he hasn't been online at all. It hurts not being able to see him to even talk face to face. Should I keep going no contact? (11 days now), or reach out & say I have some of his things & I hope we can even be friends one day |
Posted: 21 Apr 2016 07:19 AM PDT My middle school going son ran home to tell me about our family friends young nephews death. Since we are neighbours, I rushed to their place, to be with them. Turns out that the demise happened over a fortnight back, and they had not shared with anyone. The lady, did not want to meet me, so I came back. Late evening I get a text about how I have been prying into their private affairs and it was none of my business. Now this is a family that has been known for several years, we have married around the same time, had children around the same time, birthday parties, dinners, vacations etc. This comes as a shocker to me. I am at a loss about being accused of being a sneak etc ? |
Question: How to tell husband purchasing a $700 phone is not a necessary purchase? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 07:01 AM PDT My husband and I live paycheck-to-paycheck as it is. We have two little ones, both of whom are still in diapers. I have been sent to collection over a hospital bill that had been in dispute with the insurance co for 2 years. So needless to say, any extra income we get should be put into savings or used to pay down our debts. Well, a couple of family friends moved away. They gave a lot of their things (tools and such) to my husband, all of which are still in very good condition. We just can't keep everything, so he wants to sell the power tools and the tires (which are new). He told me that with the money he earns from selling everything, he wants to buy a new cell phone--specifically, the Samsung S7. Personally, I think spending more than $200 on a cell is a waste of money, especially with little ones in the house and how quickly the manufacturer's pop out a new version. But he's adamant on buying a new phone. And yet, he wants to plan a vacation to Disney World for the kids' birthdays in Oct. I think that money would be better put to use in saving for the birthday trip or even to cushion our savings account. He just spent $10K in buying a new truck for his job, so now to spend another $700+ on a cell phone that he'll be forced to change in a year? Finances and budgets have always been an issue with him. He doesn't understand the importance of maintaining a budget, nor does he understand household accounting. And I'm tired of having the same discussion with him. I barely see our kids as it is with my current work schedule, but it's getting to the point where I may have to take on a second job or ask for OT to just to pay everything off. If we had little to no debt (i.e. only 1 credit card), it wouldn't be much of a big deal. |

Question: La pillola del giorno dopo.? |
Question: I lied to my mother twice now, how do I regain her trust? Please quick!? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 12:07 AM PDT Here's some detail- A few years ago (3 or 4) my parents caught me talking to a guy over phone, although I was talking to him since 3 days my parents didn't believe me and scolded me for being a bad girl! Somehow that phase got over and I gained their trust back. I have been trying to get their trust back and almost succeeded in that! Unfortunately, a week ago I started talking to anther guy online. But today my mother saw those messages (my account was logged in on her phone) and called me. She asked me who the guy was. I refused and said that I don't know him. I said it thrice that i didn't know that guy and asked her to remove my account from her phone. But after 5 minutes I called her back and told her that I knew that guy and he had messaged me a few days ago and I wasn't doing anything wrong. She asked if I know that guy and why was I talking to him if he is a stranger? (Worse thing- I messaged to that guy that I was on a holiday tour, which my mother read) She doesn't believe me that I don't know that guy and have met him online and says that I wouldn't tell him about my trip, if that guy was really stranger. However I said I wasn't doing anything wrong but she didn't believe. She's not picking up my calls and I'm really feeling bad now. I think I should've told her already who the guy was when the first time she called me. How do I make her believe my (cooked up) story coz I've been talking to guy since a month now but told her two days? I've been talking to the guy since a month* but told her 2 days! She says I'm a liar and scolds me. I feel guilty but don't want those situations back. I want to make her feel that this was the last time I'm doing this and won't do it again ever ever!! I can't express my emotions to her and am scared how would I face her. What to do? How to make her trust this (wrong, actually) fact that I was talking to the guy since 2 days and wasn't doing anything wrong? I really feel bad and don't have guts. |
Question: Would I get fired if I told my new boss off for this? Posted: 20 Apr 2016 09:06 PM PDT My wife has been picking me up the last few days. She's got to wait in the lounge for me to get off. A new shift-manager saw her waiting today and propositioned her.. as in, he offered her money like she was a hooker. WTF? My wife dresses nicely, not like a ho. She's not flirting with men while waiting for me to get off work. What the **** I do about this? |
Posted: 20 Apr 2016 09:05 PM PDT She's a customer at my work and we work out at the same fitness club. She always flirted with me from the get go. We exchanged phone numbers and I confronted her about being married and being flirty. Instead of backing off, she came a lot stronger and said her husband is okay with it. She's inviting me over to see her. Our encounter will be filmed and het husband will be watching it. I'm tempted but what are the pitfalls? FYI- I may have met her husband, too. |
Question: Un hombre que se ríe cuando te ve? Se habrá estado burlando de mí? Me llamaba la atención pero después de ésto creo que me olvidaré de él. Por qué razón harían algo así y tan obvio? |

Posted: 20 Apr 2016 07:09 PM PDT I don't mean flat out ignoring them when they start a conversation. But there are a handful of adults (parents' friends) who like to talk sarcastically all the time, and I don't have the energy to deal or feign amusement around them. So is it rude to just answer when they talk to me or ask me questions, and then subtly walk away...in a way that isn't insulting but also shows that you're not interested in entertaining their presence? |
Question: She has never liked me since day 1. Why? Posted: 20 Apr 2016 06:58 PM PDT In high school I was the president of a club and one of my friends got a girl to join it. The girl was a year older than us and the first day I met her she gave me a dirty look and stared me up and down. As I was speaking at club meetings, she would give me a look of pure hate and would just continue to stare me up and down. I felt like i was being judged when she didn't even know me very well. After a while, she stopped coming to the club meetings. After high school i bumped in to her at a restaurant where she worked as a waitress. When she saw me, she smiled and said hi but a while later, I caught her giving me the same cold and hateful stare that she would give me back in high school. Recently, I was at a festival and I felt someone stare at me. I turned my head and saw her looking in my direction. We made brief eye contact and right when I was about to smile and wave, she quickly looked away and bit her lip. After all these years, she still seemed to have something against me. Something that is a mystery to me because I have no idea what that thing is. I don't know why I'm putting so much thought in to her, but this person's behavior has always puzzled me because I have no explanation for it. Any ideas? |

Question: Can I ever get a boyfriend? Posted: 20 Apr 2016 06:36 PM PDT I'm almost 20 years old, and I haven't had a boyfriend or even been kissed. I'm the only one out of all of my friends who hasn't at least been kissed, and I feel so ugly and sad because of this fact. I don't know if I could ever find romance because I constantly feel uncomfortable in my own skin, and I feel like people can always sense that. I would really like to find someone special, but I don't know how I can overcome my major insecurities. I'm not exactly pretty, and I'm not the brightest or funniest. My friends make it look so easy to find love, and here I am at 19, still wondering how it's done. Maybe I should just stay single? |
Question: Why did he offer to look over my application? Nice or likes Me.? Posted: 20 Apr 2016 06:06 PM PDT Offered to look over resume and said I should feel free to contact him for "anything". He's really busy so sometimes it takes a while for him to respond |
Question: Why are non pot smokers obsessed with 4/20? Posted: 20 Apr 2016 05:29 PM PDT My friend who absolutely is against weed has a bunch of 4:20 and 4/20/16 filters on his snapchat and says blaze up its 420 and he drew a joint in his mouth, and he hates weed! I smoke weed about every 3 days and he hates it so much but always makes jokes about it and posts stuff about it? Why is this? It's so stupid! |
Question: Seek closure or just move on? Posted: 20 Apr 2016 05:22 PM PDT so in November I fell deeply in love with this girl. at the time she was in my English class. I don t even know how it all happened honesty, I just remember seeing her one day and all of the affection came rushing. but yeah so I ended up following her on tumblr, ended up getting her snapchat, and we talked almost everyday. in January is when I got her number. (jan 2nd to be exact 🙃) and we texted a little bit that night, and a little bit more over the few days. (we were on winter break so no school) I remember the day before school started back, we stayed up texting each other until 1am. the next day we were in class, we didn t talk or anything. it was awkward but that s how it was for us. we would talk outside of school via message or snapchat and won t say anything in person. but she eventually started ignoring me. she stopped replying to my texts and ****. I asked why, she said no reason. I think it s because I m gay and she thought I was trying to get at her, I asked her if that s the reason, she said no. but she continued ignoring me. so I just gave up. we stopped talking. I see her literally everyday at school, and all the love and affection comes rushing back. I can t get over her no matter how much I try. she doesn t know that I m in love with her to an extreme. I know I should just let her go but I can t. maybe it s closure? like I just need to resolve the tension between us and maybe I ll feel alright you know? so is that what I should do? I should've said this before, I'm gay as in lesbian. haha sorry for the confusion... |

Posted: 20 Apr 2016 05:09 PM PDT I'm 27 & my career is not moving how I thought it would I'm self employed & fiancé is 32 has regular full time 9-5 job. I've been talking about moving for a while now because finding clients here in my hometown is impossible so I want to try my luck in another state. I've resorted to desperate measures due to lack of no income by selling plasma every week even though it's a healthy risk just to have some money in my pocket. I feel like I'm getting old & I need to hurry up & get my life stable so that I can have kids & settle down. Anyways my fiancé has been procrastinating about moving & coming up with every excuse in the book. I don't even know why hes wanting to stay here when he has no real friends his job is ok but he could be doing better & he barely sees his family but he says he doesn't want to move n leave his job family n friends behind. Yet all he does is work all day everyday watch tv sleep & follow me around he has no life here just like me. I told him I was going to visit the place next month & basically gave him an ultimatum & said that I had to move to better myself & was he coming or staying & he said I guess I'm staying. Should I just plan to move on my own? Or stay for my relationship? Do you think I'll regret leaving ? And should I break off the engagement now ? |

Question: My mom is being harassed by her ex (a deputy), please help? Posted: 20 Apr 2016 03:50 PM PDT My mom is trying to sever contact from this man (her ex husband) but he continues to track her down and find out her phone number every time she changes it. It has gotten to the point where she has blocked him and changed her phone number over nine times in the past year. She clearly wants to get over him and away from him, (although the first few times she believed his sweet-talking text lies and started talking to him again, but after she came to her senses she blocked him again) but he keeps trying to email her, call her, text her, etc. Every time I tell her that she should report him to the police, she says, "He IS the police." I'm very concerned because this man is very problematic to her and he has her trapped because she won't inform the police on him. I don't know what to do (I'm 15 and don't have much control over this situation) but it is very troubling and I hate watching my mom go through this every time he finds out her number. Any advice would really be appreciated. |
