Posted: 21 Apr 2016 09:25 PM PDT So I have a friend who is driving down from philadelphia to georgia to see me. One of those days that he is here he wants to take a day trip with me to atlanta and he doesn't want my best friend to come along. I was ok with the plan until my counselor told me that what I am doing is betraying my best friend steven and says that steven won't be happy when he finds out. Then she went on and told me that I need to decide on where my loyalties are because steven does more things with me than my friend from philly who I only talk to on skype. I am frustrated and I don't know what to do. What should I do ? Is it really betrayal if I don't invite steven ? |

Question: Why don't people just get divorced if they're sick of each other....? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 08:49 PM PDT Especially people under 40.. Dating must be harder once you've hit your 40s, so why waste the best years of your life if it's not working? Are most people just fools that believe it will get better, or staying married is the right thing to do? |
Question: I get overly attached? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 08:46 PM PDT So recently my mom got a divorce from her husband they were only married for about 6 months and he had 2 daughters (my step sisters). I was fine when they broke up I wasn't too upset but then I realized my step sisters would be moving out. I started to break down and I couldn't breathe I would look at something and cry if it reminded me of them and if I would look in their empty room I would cry. The older one goes to my school but we don't talk. (btw I'm 14 if that matters) |
Question: Should I end my marraige? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 08:38 PM PDT First off this may be long so thank you for your help and second off I may have lost all my sanity for putting this on Yahoo Answers haha. Basically my marraige has been very bad since my daughter was born, she is about to be 6. We have fought over the past couple years and one big issue I have with my husband is the profanity he uses towards our daughter. He thinks because he is not calling her a curse word he is not cursing at her. Some thing he normally says are like "get in your F*ing room" "what the F*ck are you doing" etc. He has always had a potty mouth but I never expected once we had a child he would disrespect her in this way. It has been a constant battle and we have almost split up twice but have both decided to try harder. Well, it s came to a head again but now I just don t know if I have it in me anymore to try. I feel like it is absolutely disrespectful to her but he thinks it is not detrimental to her. |
Question: Should the wife work, if she has kids but they're in school during the day? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 08:20 PM PDT Let's say the husband makes $125k and they have 2 kids.. He also helps out to pick them up from school etc. and the wife doesn't work, at all, ever. 125k is a pretty good salary for one person but 4 people not fantastic. Do you believe the wife should have some part time gig to at least obtain her own spending cash? |
Question: This drives me nuts about my wife? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 08:19 PM PDT My wife is constantly late for things (well used to be) now, she has alarms on her phone for EVERYTHING!!! From 5:30AM-7:00AM when she leaves for work all I hear is the same cell phone alarm going off every 5,10,15 min. She literally has an alarm for how long it takes her to shower & brush her teeth, how long she eats breakfast, how long to get dressed etc. it's getting a bit obsessive & irritating to me! She does the exact same thing at night setting an alarm of when to go to bed!! She EVEN has alarms to remind her of doctors appointments etc. I know it's very helpful for her to get her to work on time but it's so disruptive to the rest of the family who's trying to get ready as well! She sticks to such a "strict" schedule in the mornings it's almost crazy! If I hadn't been married to her 15 years id think she was half bonkers!!! Any suggestions on what to tell her/how to speak with her about this? |

Posted: 21 Apr 2016 06:52 PM PDT I am a 55 year old man, retired, with a nice house, but I only bring home about $50,000 per year in my pension. I was talking to a 48 year old lady who told me that she has been divorced from alcoholic drunks twice now and she does not want to live in poverty. I live a comfortable life, in a nice 3 bedroom house in a rich part of the city, and I can easily give to her all of the food she needs and give to her $2,000 per month to spend any way she wants. But clothes or food or anything at all. Is $50,000 per year considered to be 'LIVING IN POVERTY'? Is giving to your future wife half of your entire income, so she can spend it any way she wants; is that considered to be 'living in poverty'? She has just come from living on only $200 per month in Eastern Europe, and she was living in a small 1 bedroom apartment there. I don't get anything at all. I DON'T WANT SEX, I don't need anyone to cook or clean for me, I am happy just the way I am, so yes, why on Earth would I want to get married if there is nothing in it for me? |

Question: Do I qualify for an annulment in Texas? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 05:06 PM PDT My spouse and I have been married for several years and have two children. I have come to realize it was just for her papers because she was illegally here from Colombia by overstaying her visit. We married when she was 17, requiring her mom to sign. But here's the catch, I have just confirmed the lady is not her real mom, and the papers she used and names are just aliases. Her real mom is in Colombia. Is the marriage voidable after ten years? I have only known of this for two weeks. |
Question: Do I qualify for an annulment in Texas? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 04:56 PM PDT When I married my spouse, she was 17. We married because she had become pregnant and I felt forced by her mother. Also, Before I married her, I had no idea she wasn't a legal citizen. In fact, she told me she was legal. I always felt she just wanted to become a legal citizen and that was the sole purpose of the marriage. Well after nine years I finally fixed her papers and of course 6 months later she left me and took my two little girls. It's been two weeks since she's been gone. I need help as a male in Texas I stand no chance with these family laws. |
Question: What if your spouse wants a sex change? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 04:26 PM PDT Would you stay with this person? He or she will be the same on the inside. Let's say your wife becomes a man, would you and the kids accept it? |

Question: Under what circumstances do they usually approve alimony for life? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 04:08 PM PDT Married 11 years, 3 kids, divorcing in Kansas, wife doesn't work (currently, but has in the recent past). |
Posted: 21 Apr 2016 04:06 PM PDT My wife and I started discussing divorce less than 2 weeks ago. Should I be concerned about her lawyer'ing up so quickly? Does that make it more likely that her divorce demands will be met? Should I also lawyer up to avoid getting the short end of the deal? |
Question: Does it matter who files for divorce first? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 04:04 PM PDT I recently received divorce papers and noticed that my wife is asking for large amounts of child support and alimony. She is also requesting alimony for life. Does it matter that she filed first? Does that make her request more likely to be granted? (Kansas) |
Question: Wife just filed for divorce and asked for alimony for life. Should I be worried? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 04:02 PM PDT I think Kansas law says the maximum duration for alimony is 121 months except for rare cases. We were married for 11 years and have 3 kids (under 10). An online alimony calculator suggested the duration would only be 4 years. Is there reason to believe a judge might impose alimony for life? (My annual income is $150,000 and my wife's annual income is currently $0) |

Question: How to deal with Father in law? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 03:38 PM PDT I live with my husbands nanny for the moment we have an apartment coming in a few months, but his father lives with her too and he is unemployed, mean, selfish and all he does is drugs upstairs. I did have a little ordeal with him this morning, but in general I just need advice to put up with him. I don't like him because hes been a terrible father to my husband and he always tells my husband that he is a waste of life basically. When my husband was younger they used to beat on him all the time so now its just a huge emotional scar. His grandma(or nanny) is great and so sweet, but his father literally makes everyone cry in the house because he can be so mean. There was a dirty plate on the counter and then my father in law started threatening to beat my husband up. Now, my husband can take him in a fight, but we try not to start anything with him due to his grandma and it just makes it harder on her. He treats me and my husband like total crap and we cant say anything or stand up for ourselves because it will just start more fights and make it more stressful on nanny. How can I have patience until we leave? |
Question: Should I leave my verbally abusive husband? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 03:01 PM PDT I have been with my husband for 9 years. (Married for 6) and I have been dealing with is f-this and your f-in stupid for the last few years. I am afraid to stand up for my self. We have two girls 2 and 5 who hear everything he says to me. He yelled at me this morning stating MIL says I am a sloppy mother and I don't disiplicne my kids. He says when I get home we need to talk. I am guessing he is going to tell me to leave. How do I get the courage to leave without my girls? |

Question: If a man is turned on by Porn is he not sexually happy with his wife? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 02:07 PM PDT I recently discovered that my husband likes to masturbate to porn. I walked in on him when I came home from work early one day (cliche I know, but sadly true) I don't mind the masturbation so much, he is a guy and I'm not always available, no big deal. We do have what I thought was a great sex life, we do it a few times a week and he's had no complaints in 22 years. It's the porn aspect that bothers me. If he needs "visual stimulation" to get off, and that visual stimulation looks nothing like me, then how is he able to enjoy sex with me? Can it be both, or should I assume that because I don't resemble a porn girl in any way, that he's probably thinking of them when he's with me? I feel like I just found out that my beloved husband is really a disgusting porn watching sex pig instead of the great guy I thought he was. Guys, be honest. Girls, share your thoughts. Update: We do watch it together occasionally, I like it sometimes as a couples thing, I just don't like to be left out! Update 2: And yes I also masturbate when he's not available to me, but just with my imagination, not actual internet filth featuring real people. |
Question: Guys, how did you know your wife was the one? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 02:03 PM PDT Been with my gf for over 3 years now....I feel like she's perfect...But, how did you know that your wife was the one that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with? |

Posted: 21 Apr 2016 12:32 PM PDT I am supposed to follow suit and ignore things when she says inappropriate things to me. My husband and I got into a huge disagreement about it and he feels that I need to just allow this to go on and agree with the rest of the family. This occurs at sporting events the kids have as well as graduations ect. No one wants to cause a scene in public nor in front of the kids. I don't agree that she should be allowed to make everyone uncomfortable. I asked why can't someone be nice but assertive and tell her that her advice makes everyone uncomfortable, especially when she criticizes what people in the family do? He says that she will just twist it around and make that person feel like they are being too sensitive or they are being mean when she is just trying to help. I have been criticized for not accepting this behavior like I AM the one with the problem. This is a losing battle and I am frankly beside myself that I am the bad guy here. What can I do? Just decide to speak up and incur everyone's wrath or play the ignore game and seethe inside? |

Question: Would you put your husband in your will? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 11:39 AM PDT Hello all, This is a random question for shts and giggles. If you worked hard to get your education and made a lot of money working hard during your marriage, would you put your husband in your will if you were to die so that he could acquire your assets (this is assuming there's no kids)? What if he were to get remarried and use your money to spoil his new wife/gf? What if the woman did not ever work or try to get her education and her spoiling was due to the sweat on you brow? Interested in hearing answers!! |
Question: Why do some people keep everything? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 11:20 AM PDT My husband has always had lots of clothes/ shoes and it's like pulling teeth to get him to sell/donate the old stuff (even though he's had it for 8 years!) I can't imagine why anyone would want to keep old, out of fashion shoes when you have 100+ other pairs (literally speaking). I'm talking so many clothing items that there are 4 piles of clothes outside a packed closet, and more pairs of shoes an clothes in the garage. Well, I discovered he's like this because it appears his mom doesn't get rid of things, even when she buys new stuff of the same kind. All of her cabinet and closet space is packed to the max, and she lives in a large house solo. This concerns me since she is only in her 50s...I am worried my husband will make our home an even worse cluttered place to live. I have ADHD and claustrophobia, so too much stuff is impossible for me to keep organized AND it gives me anxiety!!! I get rid of things on the regular and only keep things I need or use. What should I do? I'm worried this May ruin my marriage & health someday. |

Question: Is my girlfriend a mooch? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 09:14 AM PDT my girlfriend has children from her previous marriage whom she joint custody of. She is struggling to pay bills alone and raise her kids. She receives child support from her ex husband but it doesn't cover much. Whenever we go out I pay, I have NO problems with that. However I have also bought her and her kids groceries and stuff for her house, and gotten stuff for her kids too and she has never offered to pay me back. She also has borrowed money from me (not large amounts) just a few dollars here and there and never paid me back. I feel bad for her but then I found out she regularly goes out to eat with her kids, bought her mother some things she needed for her house (her mother makes well over 6 figures and lives in a half millions dollar home), paid for a new electric toy car for her son, etc. She is complaining she is on a lot of debt and behind on her bills every month so Ive helped her but never been paid back. Is she a mooch? |

Question: Does paying for your spouse's things turn you off sexually? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 08:49 AM PDT Women and men, this is a question for either of you. If you have a spouse who is not in a good financial place and you are constantly paying for your dates, helping them with their grocery bills, buying them things to help them out, etc. do you find this turns you off eventually sexually? Like you gradually stop wanting to be intimate with them? Or is it unrelated? |

Posted: 21 Apr 2016 07:57 AM PDT I sent my husband a couple of emails about 10 AM and it's now going on 11 and he hasn't replied yet. It was something important about our rent and I need a reply from him. I sent him a text a few minutes ago saying, "You are ignoring the email or choosing not to respond." His reply was immediate saying, "dammit, I'm not ignoring you, I'm just a little busy at work right now!" How should I take this? I find it funny that he hasn't replied to my emails in almost an hour but I get an immediate response to my text message. What do you think of that? My husband feels that when you send an email you aren't looking for an immediate response so you send it and wait. If it's that important CALL. |

Question: My wife is cheating on me? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 01:09 AM PDT We have been married for over 10 years and have 2 kids together, I found out that she has been cheating on me for a few months with a married man she knows from work. She sneaks out on a nightly basis, picks him up, because he does not have a driver's license, and they park the car on a dead end street and have sex there in the car. They do this pretty much on a nightly basis. I was wondering would it be wrong for me to call the cops on them for having sex in a public place? I wouldn't dial 911 because it's not an emergency situation, I would call the local non emergency number. But if I were to call would they keep it as an anonymous call if I asked them to? |
Question: Why is dating a married man wrong? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 12:50 AM PDT Just for the thrill of it @Anya: I don't see why the woman has serious problems and she's the only one to blame as it's a mutual decision. Oh and why is everyone so sure that the man's not gonna leave his wife? |
Question: My husband confessed to cheating on me 10 years ago.? Posted: 21 Apr 2016 12:14 AM PDT My husband and I have been together 16 years and married 12. Last night while we were watching a movie, he started crying. He admitted 10 years ago, while he was out with his cousin. The night in question I thought something had happened, but couldn't put my finger on it. He had a sex with two escorts. He swears up and down he regretted it and has never done it since. I'm heartbroken. My family thinks I should forgive him and move on. WE had a great marraige up until last night. I hate to throw away 16 years but this is the ultimate betrayal. |
Posted: 20 Apr 2016 11:58 PM PDT My wife and I have been having many problems lately. She has been involving her family and friends with problems we have. We aren t getting along and feel that divorce is around the corner. I am uncomfortable around my family and hers since they know our business. I am very close to ending it very soon. I don t seem to have the patience for anything anymore and the only place that makes me happy is work. As soon as I am oof from work I feel a cloud over me because I start to feel and think about the issues I have with her at home and with our family. This has been going on for months but nothing has been resolved just has gotten worse. She leaves sometimes when we fight and ends up staying at her mom s a couple days. This bothers me so much because I feel we shouldn t run away from our issues and this is our home. Her parents have been separated for a long time, mine have been married for 40 years. I am not sure if this has something to do with it, but feel our cultures clash, at least the way we deal with issues. Please advise. Thanks! |

Posted: 20 Apr 2016 09:56 PM PDT I am a virgin and I always wanted to look up at successful and powerful who waited until marriage to see myself as WOW look at this beautiful girl who waited for the right one. What happen to the successful women who respected themselves so I can look up to them and be a proud fan? |
