I got a part time job. Not enough to live on own with. I currently live with dad but I feel its so pathetic I don't even date. But I was thinking I could get a place with my brother. He gets like 700 a month in disability. He'd probably just sit in his room all day anyways. But then Id be practically independent. If I needed I could just tell him to go see a movie or something.

It just occurred to me. I was listening to my friend's story about her abusive ex, and how he was angry and offended when she finally called the cops on him. I had thought before he was just angry because he was finally caught. But when she said he was offended, it hit me that what if he thought he was better than her, which is why he abused her and thought it was justified? I didn't wanna ask her since it was such a personal story...

My husband has two brothers both of which ignore him or are flat out rude. It's been this way for 15 years. Brother in law A is getting married to a woman who is equally as nasty as he is. Brother in law B is part of the wedding. Neither BIL wanted to come to our wedding, but my husband's father forced them (strongly encouraged). Both BILs never came up to us to say congratulations, anything. My husband is going to go to BIL A's wedding, and he is putting pressure on me to go too. "Set a good example!" I have tried forming bonds of friendship with both BILS and BIL A's wife but have been met with silence. I don't feel I should have to go to a person's wedding who does not want me there to begin with. If you were me, would you attend? Wedding is this August (2016).

So growing up my mom always hid food inside her closet every time she went shopping. And the only food she left out was eggs bread and ham. For me any siblings to eat, we would never have nothing to eat other than that. And all of the other food she bought we were never allowed to touch. Only if there where guests at our house on very rare occasions. And she would put a chain around the refrigerator when she left to work and would only unlock it when she got home home around 10pm. And we usually got home around 3pm. So we would just drink water. And the food she bought would be the normal things you guys would normally buy. But she kept a lock on her door and closet door so we couldn't get in. Where your parents like this to? Is this a normal thing most parents do?

I think I found my soulmate and he's a racially black person...My parents are totally against it and are trying to convince me to ditch him.... They show his crime record as a teen but little do they know that he grew up in a poor single parent household with a brother and 3 sisters and his brother was a bad influence and he made some mistakes in his teen years but now that his brother is locked up...He has been clean ever since... Parents are also threatening to cut my trust fund if I marry him but we need that money to start a business because he is unable to get good employment as he didnt finish school and records but he says if we can invest that money in business,we would be self employed and never have to worry about in future.... Even his mom is against this because she thinks white women arent faithful and will ditch him when things dont go good... How to convince my parents that he is a reformed person and would love and care me all his life... Thanks,it was petty theft and once they caught him as a suspect on possession of drugs but it was his brother who gave it to him for safekeeping ... I kind of have a crush on my dad for a year now, because some my friends were at my house one night watching youtube videos of cheesy 1980s songs & said my dad looks exactly like daryl Hall (hall & oates). It was the song "make my dreams come true" & saying my dad looks exactly like daryl hall. They are always crushing on my dad anyway so I think that's what triggered it. A couple times I touched him in a place where I shouldn't. I tried to make it look like it was an accident. The 2nd time it happened he stared at me & looked sad, then walked away. Since I turned 10, I started being mean to my parents. I would tell my dad I wish he was dead. Sometimes for no reason other than I couldn't have my own way. The first time I said it to my dad, they told me never say it again, like what if it comes true and I get my wish. But I kept saying it almost every other day til my dad became depressed. Then, after I started having this kind of crush on my dad, they (my parents) read something I accidentally left laying around. They weren't home when I wrote it, I meant to put it away or shred it before they got home, but I got distracted, left it there on the dining room table & forgot it. It said I had a crush on my dad and wanted to do things to him. I lied & I told them it was a fiction story I wrote for class, but they were mortified & my dad went outside and cried. He left and didn't come home for 2 days. My mom told me that his heart was broken. I was so deluded that I didn't care. I'm starting to be worried, like my dad was target practicing with his friends & he turned the gun on himself, his friend pushed it away before my dad pulled the trigger just in time before the bullet went in my dad's stomach. His friend told my mom he was afraid my dad was trying to hurt himself & he's afraid he might do it again. I feel weird, like I caused the whole thing. I feel dirty, like I molested my dad. Starting to get scared cause he is my dad, but I feel like I am under some kind of spell & can't really love him like I am supposed to. Please help.

my dad drinks and he screams and even sometimes will hit us. my mom told my uncle about the abuse, and he said that at least our dad stayed with us...like it was a good thing. why do we deserve an abusive dad? and evr since our uncle said that, our dad repeats him. so now our dad says all the time we're lucky he stayed, at least he stayed...why is his abuse OK? our dad also said that we don't understand why it was good he stayed...like we should be glad he hurts us or think it's OK? but why? why don't we matter at all? like since he stayed, the more we get abused! i can't understand why that's good. or how my uncle could say that to his own sister. my mom said we're lucky and she agrees with our uncle. but i don't see why abuse is OK. is my uncle saying our dad can just do whatever and it's fine, because he makes money? but why is abuse fine? this bothers me so much, but my family made me feel guilty for being bothered by it. and then, my brother had to go for this checkup thing and my dad kept asking him if he told them anything about our family. so he knows it was wrong to hit my brother right?! so what does everyone mean by lucky, or that it's good our dad is with us? one last thing. my dad said we'll understand one day why it was good he's with us....but he tells my brother not to say anything to people?! wtf. does he know he's wrong or not? i feel like i live with crazies does my dad think he's better than us? like he an just make whatever rules he wants? that's just offensive then.

Let me give you examples of what she does.. If she serves herself juice and spills like 2 drops she will clean it right away. She constantly cleans while company is over. She always checks the floor for stains and wipes them with a papar towel if she has already mopped. She also picks up hairs from the bathroom floors with a paper towel almost every time she goes to the bathroom. She can't ever have a hair on the sink or counter of the kitchen. She gets mad with people that come over and make a mess behind their back. She's probably cleaning while I write this. What do you think? Are you like this?

He pushed me to smoke a lot of pot. To the point where I was nauseous and I couldn t move or walk on my own. My vision was blurry and my peripheral vision was black. He started doing strange things like trying to give me massages and reaching up my dress. I kept saying no and he would apologize then start again later. He took me inside and told me to lay on the floor. He did things to me even when I said stop or asked him why he was doing that to me. He kept saying that I better not tell anyone. I was scared and I felt paralyzed. I finally got the strength to get up and move away from him and I asked him why he did that to me tht I didn t want it and he is engaged to my sister. All my friends got stuff for Easter but I did not. My parents did Santa and Tooth Ferry but we were denied Easter. I had two siblings and it was the same for them. I am going to a funeral for a friend from school's father who died of ALS. This man was good friends with my uncle and I expect I will see him and his kids there. My mother doesn't speak to her brother and expects me to hate him equally. How do I prepare for my mother's wrath if she finds out? I am a big fan of our local sports team. I go to every game I can but I can afford only the cheapest seats. One day at a game, I heard someone say "Hello Ann". I turned around and it was John, my sister's ex husband. We talked briefly and he invited him to join him in his luxury box and I gladly accepted. I had never been a luxury box but they are GREAT. I really enjoyed the game a lot more from his box. He told me that any time I was at a game to come by his box and join him in watching the game. I did and each time I had a great time at the game. He had refreshments brought to his luxury box and we just talked. I had a wonderful time. He was the nicest person ever, very polite and never hit on me. We never talked about my sister, his ex. Sometimes his friends would join us in his box. They were all very nice to me and this just made it more fun. I have never told my sister about this so as not to cause her and me any problems. I don't know many details about their divorce. She never says anything bad about him at family gatherings. Should I tell her or is it none of her business as they are no longer married?

My nephew who lives with his mother has asked me could he move in with my dad and I. The problem is that he wants to help me with my dad who has dementia. Basically, I am the caregiver and I have an older sister who doesn't put in the amount of time being with our dad. Her son wants to move in and help but I had always needed help even before he suggest that he wanted to move in. He told me that he wanted to get a house and raise his daughter but now he is saying he would like to move in, do repairs to the house, and help with my dad. He lives with his mom, but she told him that she may be getting a house soon. My dad and I are comfortable the way the living situation is, with the two of us. I can always need help but live in help, not sure that would be helpful.Seems like my sister should be the one who steps up to help, not her son. need others input. My nephew went to my dad and asked him would it be all right for him to live with us. Then he comes to me and ask me after my dad told him that it was all right. Then I asked my dad what did he say and my dad said he never said that. He has dementia so that is understandable. In a few hours, my nephew wants answer from me.*

I m in my 20 s now and I am starting to feel trapped. My significant other is acting strange and I have already offered a break so they can do the things they want; they refuse to do it yet act like staying with your first love is like picking one ice cream flavor out of many and eating it for the rest of your life. As for my family, I stood up for myself when my older siblings belittle and upset me. This has caused a rift and they are trying tohang out with me. This would usually not be a problem except for the fact that they do not try to hang out and when they do they will point out my flaws. My parents are always arguing and I feel like they are only staying together because I am still at home. I wish I could just pick up all my things and live alone. Ok me and my boyfriends sister were talking about getting a place (my bfs in the military ) well I was all for it until I realized how annoying him family can be. They said they had no choice because if they choose to live I will die and they will not let that happen... They are good people John, they helped me find you and helped you figure it out and they have so much faith in you, they really love you, because i love you, because you love me... Being poly is bitter sweet there is always pain and jealousy but they would not let me die, so they love you, coz you mean Life and Love for me... I can't survive without a bond...My bond with my mate was killing me, like cancer...I needed to bond with someone who was good, and loving and sane and a good match for me...but real...I can't bond with the guy in a way I bond with you, they are not ...They don't have secret names or purple bits...

My Mum is pregnant and my dad went partying one day my mum knew but she wanted him to come home around 9pm cause it was getting late, he didn't come home and so she's angry at him, so my dad sleeps in the sitting room now, they haven't talked to each other all week, I don't really have a strong relationship with my dad and don't know how to talk to him, He works long shifts, usually from 4am to 5pm in the afternoon, but today he went to work at 3am and he finishes at 5pm, he is also A heavy smoker, he smokes a whole 24 pack of cigarettes a day, and he goes through 5-6 bottles of beer every day after work, I don't want him to get sick or anything, how can I help him?

I'm not sure how to feel. One of my older cousins told me that my mom used to be married to another guy and I was his son. She said my "dad" and my mom were having an affair behind his back. I confronted my dad about it last night and he admitted to it being true but said that my biological father was a very bad guy and my mom never wanted me to see him. He talked to me about it for a while but he asked me not to let my mom know that I know before he can speak to her about it today. I'm 24 and just bought my own house and now my parents are telling me they want to quit their jobs and have me support them. I am a guy and my older brothers try to act like a dad to me all the time. For example if I misbehave with my parents my older brothers were the ones that disciplined me and my parents allow them to do it. If I don't do good in school my brothers give me a massive lecture even though some of my brothers dropped out of college. Then when it comes to dating, you can forget about me being a player because my brothers want to keep me innocent even though I don't want to be. If I had sex I am sure they would ground me for life. Why are they like that?

I have long believed something about my being was older than that of my biological mother... but I could never explain. Although she is a very intelligentand incredible woman who has taught me more than I can ever imagine, our reactions to situations we are presented with are very very different. I don't take things personally, I usually don't get angry over trivial matters, and I can see the unity in all people. However, my mother is quite the opposite. Often she approaches me with many of her problems that I (I know how I sound here, but bare with me!) can't help but believe there are simple solutions to, and I sometimes have trouble understanding how she doesn't see them. My spiritual peeps- would you say it's possible to be an older soul than your own mother? Or am I just an ***? What are your opinions on the matter?

Long story short, I had always thought my dad left and never cared about us. I found out my mom was the one who cheated on him, and did a lot of things to make it hard for him to contact us... I found out all this info from my grandmother, my mom's mom. She finally told me because I hit 18 and she wanted to tell me the truth before I moved out...she said she never told me because she didn't want me to hate my mom. She's her kid so that makes sense in a way. BUT all of the people who comforted me over my whole life and let me believe my dad was an ***, all knew my mom when she and my dad were still together. WHY did everyone else lie to me? What did they get out of it? I feel so ******* stupid. And it's creepy. So all of the support they gave me was fake? I'm surrounded by psychos? I will NEVER believe any if them about anything they tell me again. They can all go F themselves. I don't know why to say to my mom but I will be cursing her out.

Ok so for the record I'm 5'9, 310 lb female. I was at my friends house watching tv and admitedly we were eating junk ( chocolate Cadbury eggs, soda & nachos etc) and anyway her 10 year old daughter came home from school and sat with us. I offered her some of the snacks and she pushes them away saying "nuh uh I don't want to end up biiiig and fat...." Then she giggled, prodded my stomach and goes "like you!" And skips off singing the theme from charlie and the chocolate factory with the bit about guzzling sweets and laughing hysterically... Her mom (who isn't overweight, skinny *****) just cracked up apologized, an said brush it off because she thinks her daughter is "ADD" But now whenever I see them her daughter tells me I need to exercise and will run circles around me at times 'playfully' taunting me and spouting "health advice" like I need to eat veg etc... as if a ten year old knows anything & even stole my phone and ran off with it to "get me to burn calories". it kinda bugs me, especially since her mother is such a close friend of mine and just allows this behavior?? why is she being so rude?

I only have 20 days of school left after today, and I'm SOOOOOO excited. I'm in 8th grade so I'm going into high school. I have no idea what to do until then, it feels like it's taking an eternity for the last day of school to come. I am in a situation where I don't know how to respond. My boyfriend that I live with is going to have a meeting with his mother and baby mama. The reason they are having this meeting is to discuss the arrangement that they have with his mother keeping his daughter. His mother wants to discuss the arrangement of keeping her and the money we are paying her. We took her out of daycare bc his mother wanted to start keeping her. She volunteered and said we could pay her what we were paying the daycare. We have done exactly what she wants to do it. The reason I need advice is bc I feel like I should be apart of that meeting just as much as everyone else. I take just as much care of her as the parents do. He doesn't have a car, so I take her to his moms or meet them where ever I need to meet them. On my days off I have her while he works. I just don't know what to do? I feel like this decision affects everyone involved and I feel like the giving her more money or changing the plan needs to be discussed by all of us involved. I just need to know what to do? Should I just keep my mouth shut and not say anything or what do I do?

So yesterday, my dad came home and he was drunk. He said he drank half a bottle, but it seemed more. He got home late from work, about 5:30-6:00 and I had already had dinner. (my mom is dead so it is just my dad and I) I had cooked his pork chops, mashed potatoes, etc. and he grabbed me from behind and stroked my breasts and chest. and he whispered in my ear, "You look so good." and he kissed my neck. I had finished cooking his dinner for him and he had sat down at the table and I brought over his food. I had on a strapless sundress but it was not revealing. I was sitting on the couch and after he finished his dinner, he sat down in his chair and he just kept starring at my breasts. Then he said, "you are a beautiful, young lady, with a gorgeous body." He just kept staring at me and then he came over on the couch and he started to rub my thighs. I left the couch and he went in the sunroom to smoke while I washed the dishes. After I finished the dishes, he said, "I love you." and he took his arm, wrapped it around my chest and slowly went around my body with it. This freaked me out. What should I do? Is this normal? Should I freak out about it and worry? Please give advice! I am homeschooled online and I have no neighbors around me. We are on 50 acres of land with no one near us. My mom is dead and I have no one to go to for help.

After I take showers I usually change in the bathroom because the bathroom door has a lock on it and my room doesn t. I recently started using my old iPhone 4 to record my room while I take a shower because I caught my brother looking in my closet(The phone is hidden behind some clothes in my dirty clothes hamper). I played back the video when I was finished changing and I saw my dad opening drawers and looking under my bed. What do I do? Should I confront him?

My mother and her two brothers had a fight after their mother died last August. I have tried to stay in touch since I am 22 and often do things with my cousins (my two uncles daughters and sons) yet no returned calls from the uncles and their wives and as for the cousins they list things like "we have to be home Thanksgiving weekend" which was never true before. There is obviously discomfort around me due to me being my mother's daughter. I have no siblings and it hurts that the only extended family I have won't communicate (my father left my mother before I was born and never heard from since). This hurts more then anything in my life. What do I do?

Okay so I'm 18 and go to school full time and my mother works full time it's only us living in the home but she expects me to clean it all the time by myself because I don't work But I do go to school fulltime. I have nothing wrong with helping clean but I don't think I should have to do it all by myself all the time. What's your opinion should I clean the whole house by myself since I don't work or should she help?

A little girl around 4 struck up a conversation with me on the bus. She started out fine with hi how u doing. As the talk went along, she asked me if I ever was a baby. I told her yes at one time I was. She went, "My mom was too!" As if she didn't know everyone was once a baby, then a child, and then eventually grow up! Another time, a friend was discussing upcoming baby shower with me and her 6 year old went, "They're putting a baby in a shower? I thought babies take a bath." Countless examples of stupidity would not all fit on here. What if an adult was that stupid? How would ppl react?

My mum and broke up when I was 4 and when I was 7 my dad started growing cannabis plants and the only reason he stop it was because the police took them off him he grow it for about 12 years and he stop giving my mom child support when I was 10 that's was years ago I am 19 now last year I was homeless and my dad took me in he said as long as I paid my way I could stay so I did but the house was a dump their was bugs in every room the the kitchen was a wrist so I tidied it up and one day I was out and my dad was at work my cousin tried to break in he was caught by the police and my dad had the cheek to ask my if I was involved after that he was never in he move in to his girlfriends house and only came back once a month he threw me out because their was two dishes I forgot to wash he was just looking for an excuse he's a joke I don't know why he had kids for when I wad 13 yrs Old my mom told him if he didn't stop growing weed she wouldn't let me see him but he didn't and I didn't see him for months and he got my uncle to lie to my mom my uncle told her that he went to my dads and looked in every room and my uncle said he stopped growing weed but my uncle done that for me not my dad what type of dad choices drugs over his son I have got a half sister on my dads side I barley even know her the next time my dad calls me I am going say to him dad I'm not interested in you because your not interested in me

My quinceanera was just in late Feb and I have kept my dress on a mannequin in the corner of my bedroom. I been noticing lately that ny mannequin bad ben moving alot cuz I had it a certain way and I come home from school and notice it is moved a great bit. I saved up my allowance and bought a little camera to see why my mannequin had been moving, and I figured out that my oldest brother has been taking my dress off my mannequin and has been having sex with my dress on my bed. So I observed the dress and noticed his semen was everywhere on my dress So if I were to guess, my brother has had sex and came on my dress probably atleast 20 time a since my quince. My dad left me since he hit my mom, he would hit me too. I was 4 but now I'm 18 years old. I also had a step dad but he went to jail. So I grew up without a father. I didn't really have awesome parents. My dad go and look for me at all. He didn't buy me toys when I was little or anything fun. He wasn't there for me my whole life growing up. He had problems with alcohol as well. He went to go live with his sisters instead of being with his only son (Me). I have never said "happy fathers day" to him ever. When I have my family in the future I'll be the hero for my kids and not be a bad parent. I'll make sure to spend time with my kids and not go thru what my father went thru. I'm going to have fun with my family and my wife will be my best friend. I would never leave them because I will protect them.

ON AVERAGE. Not that it Fathers don't or can't love their children more than a mother. - DISCLAIMER I was wondering because from my own perspective I am not a parent. I am only a child to two wonderful parents. I love them both very much. But if I'm being completely honest with myself I feel something very special that I can't describe with my mother. Even though my Father is actually the one who stood home to care for me and my mother was the one who went to work for long hours. (This was arranged for various reasons but irreverent to my question. ) Do you think it's just natural for children to bond more with their mother or am I wrong? What is your experience?
