| Posted: 20 Apr 2016 04:56 PM PDT So I train ballet pretty vigorously like 8 hours a day so all of my life has been ballet and no time for friends outside of class. When I was in 7th or 8th grade I literally had no friends to talk to, hang out with, no one, and I was just sad because I didn't have anyone to turn to. By 9th grade I finally went to public schooling, made some friends but we were never that close and i had ballet in the evenings, so once again couldn't hang out. Got a boyfriend later that year and it was great at first but never really appreciated what I do or what I have to sacrifice. So it kind of ended badly. Sophomore and Junior year I went to train at a professional ballet program to train 8 hours a day. Thought it would be different since we were all in the same boat. It was okay at first, then cliques started to form. I was kind of casted out with another friend. And we soon kind of came close friends. Now granted, I love her to pieces but I know i could never tell her things because of her personality is a bit different. She reminds me of someone from the Jane Austen time period. I was really sad the past two years, because i didn't get that many parts and wasn't a favorite. I had her, but wasn't what i really needed. I was always pushed asides. And after a month or so making a new friend, who happens to be a guys usually, they would all of a sudden stop talking to me. Now I am home for the rest of the year due to an injury and won't be going back. I have no friends here, no one.I'm sad |

He said he'd talk with me at 3, but he came at 7. I messaged him a lot before because I wanted him to respond so we could work and. He came back and just said "oh, hi". So I started being a bit rude since I was annoyed.. I said "you don't even reply and message me without trying to even start on the project." and that he was wasting time and I asked if I should work alone. Then he started being really sassy and said "oh i'm sure that's gonna fix your problem." Then I said "we're just wasting more time let's just start." then he said "you know we have today and tomorrow until midnight?" and said we should work alone. I said we can still work together I was just a bit annoyed that he came late. THEN he said someone cut off his internet and I didn't know before. He apologized and I said it's ok I don't care now. Then I said for him to tell me what idea he wanted so I could start. Then he said "I don't want to decide what topic we're doing because that's what you want me to do." Then he just said to go solo because it solves all of our problems. Is this my fault? I feel like I did something wrong, but I also feel like he was being a jerk. On our last outing together, they planned to go to lunch after our activity. I asked them if we could go to another place and they got upset. I dont understand what was so upsetting about my suggestion. I eventually tagged along for lunch to their suggested restaurant. My friends were pissed and were rude during the entire lunch. After a few days, they called up to call for another activity on april fools day. My husband and I are not keen on it. So i told them i cant come. Last week, my friend had a girls day out and planned the activity so far away that I couldnt attend it. She called me up and lied about her being really busy and how she cant meet me n stuff. She was trying to confuse me. My two friends did meet up and i couldnt go. I dont understand all the drama they are creating. Lying, being rude, calling up n texting often. They were never like this. I have a fast metabolism and it s hard for me to gain weight. I am happy with how I look but in the past 2 months all my friends and even adults now have been commenting on how thin I am. My aunt pulled me aside and said she is concerned about how I've been walking more recently and how skinny I am. My friend told me "if you loose any more fat, you'll loose your curves". My other friend was laughing at how "thin my arms were" I am honestly just trying to eat healthy and stay fit. Can anyone relate or offer advice? |

Until it came to trying out for solos, and ever since that time, she's been snobby and rude to me. We tried out for a solo, and I got it, but then we went on a small chorus field trip. On this trip, she was all nice and sweet and everything(Keep in mind, only her and I were on this trip.) and we were leaving the hotel room. I checked everything and found out she almost left her black charger, so I showed and she thanked me. I got home, and checked ALL of my bags, AND called the hotel and our teacher; Bam, nowhere to be found. I texted her "Hey, do you have a white charger?" and she sent back, "Yeah I think it's in my bag."(!) Few minutes later, I get "Oopsies, I have a black charger, not a white one. Did you misplace yours?" I was majorly ticked, and then at the concert, we have this little donation-box that's for future chorus-expenses. I saw her waiting next to it, until she saw me. I put $20 in it(as I usually do) and then she literally says, "Oh, that's nice." and slips $200 in the thing. Now, every day, she asks me, "Who do you think is getting the big award?", knowing good and well I want it. Then she follows with "I know you probably think it'll be me." I have tried and tried to like this girl, but everytime I do, she keeps getting on my nerves more and more. Plus, she literally RUBS it in my face talking about her donations to the chorus WITH the teacher standing RIGHT THERE. Please help me with her!!! |

My friend who is in 3 honors and 1 AP Course has all As except for one B. I always tell him that you are lucky because you get all As and I never have the luck. I have bad luck. My friend just says that you need to study harder and figure out a way to do good on test. I always feel sad because my friend has all good grades and I want good grades. I always feel that he is an idiot because he is super smart and I want some of that fame. All I want is to have good grades. When I tell my friend to get me all As he says that it's your grades and that he isn't responsible for his grades. BUT HE IS I AM TIRED OF GETTING BAD GRADES HE GETS ALL THE GOOD GRADES AND ALL THE FAME I WANT THAT. WHY CAN'T I GET IT. I mean I study for all tests and I still get Cs and Ds average. I just want to have good grades. But the bad luck spell stays on me and not on my friend. Seriously the lowest grade I ever gotten was a D- and the lowest grade my friend ever got was a B. Then today in the group they told me to solve a problem on the paper and I was taking a long time to solve it because I was reading it. They always hang out and always text. I am very happy for her, but it feels like I've been demoted to a secondary role in her life almost? We haven't hung out in weeks and text a lot less, and she hasn't put as much into our friendship anymore. Is it my role to put a little more effort until this honeymoon phase blows over? And when does the honeymoon phase usually end? |
| Posted: 20 Apr 2016 01:48 PM PDT So I've known this church girl for like all my life but tbh didn't really talk to her when I was younger. We are definitely friendly with each other however now though I'd love to talk more often as I like like her ;) Now I see her in youth group once a week, as well as a camp for a week annually, and she really seems to like like me there. Her eyes kinda sparkle and she is constantly laughing, and I sometimes catch her looking at me and we have cute eye contact haha etc however I'm still get shy when I try and have a one-on-one conversation so we mainly talk when we're in groups. We're both quite shy to start with. The thing is we rarely text and it's kinda confusing, when we do text sometimes we have a very good convo with jokes etc, she asks questions and quick responses so she seems to wanna talk to me, but other times when we text for some reason she takes ages to respond and doesn't seem that interested at all. Recently she popped up to me because my dad's just be told he's got cancer and she's been through a similar situation, so she said she'd be happy to chat when I need to about that, but apart from that she hasn't ever popped up to me. I would looove to text her more but never do because I'm afraid I might be annoying or it'll be awkward since we don't see each other that much and I don't have anything in particular to message her about. Do you think I should text her more? Do you think she could like me? Or should I leave it? |

Posted: 20 Apr 2016 01:47 PM PDT Hey Im a college student and I substitute teach and have money saved up and my friends is also in college but his income in inconsistent. For his Bday I brought his ticket to EDC which is like a giant rave in NYC. The ticket was about 130 plus service charge making 145. He was non stop thanking me and even said he owed me one. I've known him since we were 6 so I'm almost positive hell repay the favor some point in life. Is this too generous for a birthday gift and would you do the same for a close friend you've known since kindergarten? |

Posted: 20 Apr 2016 01:31 PM PDT Ok so at school today the teacher told the class to put themselves into groups with the people they were working with last time. Some girl already started counting about who she wanted in her group. I could tell she did this because she didn't want the teacher putting any random person in the group and I could tell I was the one they didn't want the teacher to have to put into their groups. Some girl was the one who started doing this when the teacher put me in a group with her because she removed me from the group and said the people she wants in her group. I felt like she did this because she thinks I'm not smart. Then I heard someone else in another group say they only want the smart people in their group. I'm really smart too. What do you think of this situation and what should I do? I'm in high school. |

The other night we were partying together at a friend's house and were both pretty drunk. A guy was bothering her she told me she wanted him to leave her alone. Being drunk I grabbed her hand led her out in front of and began kissing her. Nothing said after that night went on, next morning got a text late in the afternoon saying we were both drunk it happened, she'd kick my *** if that happened again lol. I have no feeling for her, but she is my best friend, Haven't talked since then, don't want to loose my bestfriend, but it would be mostly my fault which I get. |

I have self harmed and she asked me about my scars and cuts, she was my absolute best friend in the world and didn't want to lie. So I told her the truth and then everything became awkward. She was trying to help but it just not needed. I told her not to tell her mom and what did she do? She told her mom. We also drifted because we don't like the same things anymore and she's just completely different. She just always sees the negative things in everything. If something little went wrong it would destroy her whole day and she started to make me miserable being around all that negative energy. I'm 17 and I just wanted to say sorry for literally becoming a stranger to her. I don't really want to be friends again (even if we do become friends we are going to different colleges in different states & will drift that way) but I just wanted to say sorry for being a jerk I guess. So if you could help me out with what I should say that would be greatly appreciated. |

However, I had to go out on a business trip for two weeks, and they sat in there. When I returned I noticed they were no longer in the fridge. Which was fine, I figured they just threw them out. But when I asked her about it, she said she ate them. She didn't ask if she could eat them, she just did. It would be one thing if she just threw them out, but to eat them is outright disrespectful. I told her that she shouldn't have done that, and that she should have just thrown them out, and she said she didn't want them to go to waste. I tried explaining to her that she had no right, but she insisted it was better. I have no idea how to deal with such an unreasonable. This isn't the first time such things have happened. Should I just get another fridge and lock it up? I didn't want her to save them for me. Obviously they would have been bad by the time I returned. What I expected was that she would have thrown them out, not ate them herself. She didn't pay for them. That was my money she ate. |

My friend invited us to swim at his pool so me and my friend wear are UnderArmor Boxer Briefs in the pool (THEY SHOW ALOT OF PENIS AND WHEN WET A LOT MORE) but the host didn't care but now we had nothing to wear so he offered us to wear his underwear which are Breifs so they we to small for me and my friend but we didn't tell him so we left and we left are underwear and clothes there later in the week when I we went to get our clothes my friend was wearing are under armor boxer jocks and he said he just wanted to see how they were is this weird |

You make a comment, since you are close to them, along the lines of "that's retarded." there always has to be that one a*hole who has to give you crap for it. I understand how someone can find it offensive, but it is completely idiotic to do so for this reason: If you call someone a *****, you're telling them that they are acting rudely/aggressivly. You are not refering them to a female dog, nor do you even consider it. If you can't say retarded, why can you call someone a *****? Another Example: (I've witnessed this happen). One of my friends is a professional who makes ads and videos. In one of her adds, it casted a family of caucasions. People literally commented from all over the country saying she is racist because she didn't have any other ethnicity in the ad. Like what the hell? are you supposed to make a family be of all colors? Come on, now. It blocked off the b word. i meant *********. it blocked it again. what if i spell it backwards: hctib |

My friend who couldn't hear us is rather large, but she is one of my best friends. Please don't judge me for this, I have no idea why I said it. My friend was cracking a joke about fat people, and I mentioned my large friend. I have no idea why I said her name! Right after I said it I froze and thought about how rude that was, and I was questioning if I really said it or not. Then the friends I was talking tolooked at me and said "that was really mean." And then I told them it was a joke and started to laugh, and they looked away uneasily. I don't think any of them forgot about it and I feel terrible. I have no idea why I said that, OR why I even THOUGHT it! The entire thing makes me feel awful. What happened to me? Why did I say something so rude when I have no intentions of hurting my friend? | Question: Boys in my school are making rape jokes, and I don't know what to do? Posted: 20 Apr 2016 12:09 PM PDT I'm a girl in seventh grade, and the boys next to me in language arts always make rape jokes. It really offends me! They don't seem to understand how serious rape is, and it's NOT funny, and even though I've never been raped, I live in fear of it every day. I'm known as the "quiet kid", and I honestly don't really like talking to people unless they're my friends, so it would be going way out of my comfort zone if I confronted them. Also, if the teacher heard me, I might get in trouble because we're only in middle school and rape is an "inappropriate topic", but if people are making jokes about it, it's serious! Should I worry about this? What should I do? It really bugs me! |
