Me and my fiance are having a really casual wedding at a beautiful state park. Afterwards we wanted to have a honeymoon, maybe 5 days or so. We were orginally thinking about going to the beach, however we found out very soon that it was way too expensive. Our budget is only about $500. And thats for gas, a hotel, and food for the whole week. I found a camping site on the beach for only $10 a night. But would we last 5 nights on the beach with no air conditioning? Theyve got bathrooms and showers we could use and we could bring a cooler of food. Im just not sure. Another option would be to stay at an extended stay hotel sorta near the beach for $60 a night. But my family says that hobos and prostitutes use those. Any other ideas?

My girl knows the situation. I'm as broke as a church mouse. If i propose without a ring, she'll likely understand it. On the other hand, marriage is a big occasion for women and i don't want to disappoint her. Maybe i should wait until i have enough money to buy a ring?

I want to upgrade my fiances engagement ring and would like opinions on if it would be right? We got engaged almost a year ago last july. Something bad happend with my family and it was an extremely stressful time and she stood by me through it all. I didnt have a lot of money at the time and I bought a $2500 dollar ring on credit. The diamond is only 1/2 ct and it in general looks pretty "dull". Things have changed for the better and I have the cash on hand to buy a MUCH better ring now, but I'm not sure if i should. Shes never said anything even remotely bad about the ring, but I want her to have something nicer. Should I upgrade her ring?

I m pretty sure my boyfriend is going to propose to me this weekend. He was asking me about my ring size a week or so ago and then I noticed the other day, when he said he was at the store with his sister, that my jewelry box had been moved on my dresser. He also was saying he has to go see my dad to drop something off to him (that could easily be emailed) And he just got a pretty good chunk of money from an account he closed. This is all very out of the ordinary for him and I m pretty sure he is going to propose. He also is adamant that we do something this Saturday. We live together so we re always together on the weekends anyway. We have talked about getting married on many occasions, so I know it s coming, but I m pretty sure it s going to be this weekend. Anyone else know when they were going to get proposed to? And were you still surprised when it happened?
