Ok so my friend's father is really abusive ...... He always comes to school with bruises and cuts and same with his little brother...... His mom won't divorce because he will beat her .... So what do I do .... I'm worried about him. Every time he sees his father he has fear in his eyes and I feel sorry for him..... By the way he is 16 and his brother is 10. Should I tell my mom or should I let it go because it's none of my business

Hello my name is amanda and I am 17 years old. I live in a townhouse with two stories with 4 other people. I work two jobs plus school. I live with my step mom and two step sisters (16 years old and 21 years old) and my dad. We have two dogs and 1 cat. My step mom hoards medication. She has a filing cabniet full of medicine.. We have hoards upon hoards of unwashed dishes in the kitchen The only reason they are in the kitchen is because i gather them there. My parents are also heavy smokers. Our dogs poop all over our carpeted stairs. My step mom refuses to leave outside for more than 10 mins at a time. Food is constanly availbe to the dogs. I have addresses the issue with her about feeding them at certain times and creating a schedule and she just laughs at my face. No one helps me clean and I can't handle cleaning after 4 adults.

I am 13 and they are 16 and 17. One day I just asked them to play with me and refused. I got mad at them so then i just left but a few minutes later they came to my room and said they have something for me. They took me to the living room and all of a sudden they tackled me and started tickling me. I laughed a lot. They took turns blowing my bellybutton. This made my laugh really loud. I wanted to spend time with them looks like I got it. Is this their way of showing me they are good or bad sisters?

Hi! I got a problem... It's probably not my business but I'm really worry about it. I'm from a "normal" family (I mean a family like every other family in the twenty first century). My parents and my brothers they spend so much time watching TV or on the Internet ! When my parents are done working they go on the Internet to play candy crush, on Facebook,... They can't have a meal without watching TV (so we can't have a communication because they can't hear the TV!), then the evening they watch TV, same for my brothers! My youngest brother is completely ruining his life... He has really bad grades, he goes to school and then right after spend his whole life on Minecraft ! He barely knows how to read! I'm the only one in my family who don't have a TV in my room, I prefer to read books (I wish I could share this with someone but no one reads here in my family) and I don't spend so much time on the Internet... I really want things to change, TV is just an advertising board and I hate it, all those social media are ruining lives... I need something to convince them to change their way of life.. Any idea? My mom and my dad are divorced and share joint custody. My dad doesn t have the room for me to live with him, and my mom and I are constantly butting heads and we argue all the time and I m miserable because of it. I live in Wyoming, my best friend and her mom are moving to Oregon in a few weeks and her mom offered let me move with them. I m not 18, and I was just curious how I would go about getting out of my mom s house and letting my best friends mom have guardian ad litem or whatever it s called until I turn 18.

So I recently lost an iPod in school for a few weeks. I told my school about and they said that they will contact me if they find it. So yesterday they said they found it, and when I went today to claim it, they said come back later. I came back later and they said it wasn t mine. I was curious and a bit sad to why they would do that. Later that evening my dad called my mom telling me that the school found my iPod(under my name) and my principal found a dirty video in it. My dad was really upset and asked why I had the video. But I said it wasnt mine and said it was restored from someone else s computer. In my religion these videos are sinful and I don t know how to explain to my dad (I m ashamed because the video was mine :/) but I m also surprised that the principal went through my iPod files instead of only checking my name. And the reason they told me it wasn t mine so that my dad can claim it and delete the video. My mom is actually going to pick it up tomorrow and she said she wanted to discuss this matter with me. Please help me because I m here shitting my pants.

My parents are fighting and when they fight my dad always says things like "do whatever you want I don't care anymore." Or "I should've stayed in the military." And a bunch of other stuff that make me feel like he doesn't love us anymore or he doesn't want to be here anymore. And if I told my mom I know it would just cause more problems like divorce or an even bigger argument and if they did get a divorce after that I would feel like it was my fault and that's probably what my dad would say. I really want it to stop but the only person I really have to turn to is my sister. What should I do?.

Hi. I m a 15 year old girl. This morning when my dad was driving me to school I had a question about mortgage and taxes. He answered telling me stuff I already knew and wasn t answering the specific question I had. I asked it a few more times and he got pretty pissed at me. I should ve been more calm about it but I got angry that he was getting mad at me so I told him "never mind I ll just ask mom later" (I know I should ve just shut up and leave it alone but I wasn t thinking about the consequences due to my anger) and then he lunged for my thighs and started slapping me. He slapped about 3 or 4 times and then started yelling. (Once again I decide to open my big mouth) I tell my dad that I don t want to listen to him and he slaps my legs a couple more times. He kept going on saying that I m an ungrateful brat and kept changing the subject thinking of times and reasons to get even more angry at me and make me look like the bad guy in this situation, even though it had nothing to do with what we d been arguing about. Also, I forgot to mention that he s done this before. He never slaps my face, usually my legs or arms. I don t know if I should tell my mom. She usually just agrees with my dad because they re a "team". Is this abuse?

I've have anxiety which is the only thing I've had. .I've had so much stuff happen to me over my 18years on earth but it's never gotten to me until last year..I started having flashbacks about it and it's really tearing me apart..it's so bad that I cry out of nowheres or start panicking..then it formed into depression..I dropped out of school because I did not want to get out of bed..well I was forced to keep on pursuing my education so I signed up for community school,I wanted to get my GED but none of my family was having it..I started going but it's so much work/pressure in so little time..my pain was getting worst,I stopped going and my moms side of the family found out and my aunt said "you always make excuses"..so they stopped talking to me..little do they know that I've been keeping a secret to keep them from hurting..I was sexually molested by my uncle when I was 7..I'm 18 now and I've always wanted to tell them when they judged me but I can't do it..keeping my hurt to see everyone else happy..I always looked after my brother when we were little and then my sister came along and I looked after her 2..I protected them will all my might and when things went bad..I was there to say it was okay..I care to much..I love to much..but inside I'm dying slowly..I always wanted to leave,Ieave earth..but my big heart has done so much and I can't let it go to waiste.. Any time I offer to do something with him he says no. Cos he is too busy. But when his friends want to do something he will do it. I will be 23. What are the pros and cons? My parents want to move to one of the islands which I won't be naming on here. I feel like i'll be left out since I will live on a small island while everyone else I love and like are in the big states. I feel like i'm going to be seen as a non American because I wont live in the 50 states. Is there a chance that the schools will be better than the ones here? I don't want to go to a broken down school and not be eligible for the same scholarships and such like everyone else. I'm really confused and a bit sad!!! I also heard that people who live on the territories are not allowed to vote for president. Omg... the only good thing about this is that I get to live close to the beach. My father and I are having a really hard time. His wife thinks she has control over the both of us and is kicking us out. Now my dad pays the bills here as well as her. I paybills occasionally only when I can. right now I cant because she didn't let me get a job in the beginning. My mom and I got into an argument when I started casually talking about how I wanted to start gaining independence (I'm 17, turning 18 in half a year). I have already graduated high school and am in community college, I aim to get into a university to study film. I asked my mom if I could get a part time job for the summer because I want to start saving up money to move out. My parents are very strict, and my mom has mental problems. Long Story short, My mom went off on me and grounded me "until I'm 18" and wouldn't take me to school (I don't drive yet, nobody has taught me). I missed my classes, and she also took away from laptop and phone (I found this old laptop today-she doesn't know about it). I was unable to complete assignments, and attend school. The semester is almost over and I worked so hard. She told me she wasn't letting me go to school anymore, but just last fall she made me attend classes. I'm freaking out because she's bipolar, so things might be good next week, but missing classes is going to affect my grades. I'm going to email my professors, maybe they might understand. So my family is literally broke I m just 13 years old and it s my first year in high school and I m really stressed because of the load of work and on top of all my family is really ill my dad has diabetes so he needs his medication, my mom has depression and anxiety and a lot more things so she takes about 12 tablets everyday normal prescription, my brother is a high school dropout and has been relying on my dad( my dad is the sole earner in our house) for the last 8 years now and he has asthma so he needs medication I however do not take any medication. Yesterday my mom took all her tablets that cost around 1 grand and that s not even all she needs more and she nearly died and my dad is really stressed because we only have around 3 grand left to manage our household and my dad is unemployed, my mom can t really work and my brother is just too damn lazy and does not do anything just sits around the house. My wife's mother is a wonderful person that is a joy to be around. She is divorced. We all love her and want to help her in any way possible. She went on a diet and lost a lot of weight and now has a gorgeous figure. She had to buy a whole new wardrobe. She likes to try on her new clothes for me go get a man's point of view of them. I am happy to do this for her but it took an unexpected turn when she started modeling her bra and panties for me and asking me if they made her look sexy. I was at a restaurant waiting to be seated when my sister's ex husband Sam walked in. He saw me and came over and give me a hug. We had a brief conversation and he asked me to join him for dinner as his guest. He asked how long it would be before we could be seated and they told him 45 minutes to an hour. He suggested we go someplace where we could be seated sooner. We went across the street to Ruth Chris steak house restaurant. We were seated immediately. When I saw the menu I knew why there was not a wait to be seated. The CHEAPEST item on the menu was $45. Sam saw my discomfort and said ignore the price. Order what you want and I did. It was the BEST meal I ever had in my life. I thought it might be awkward having dinner with my sister's ex husband but it wasn't. We had a great meal, great conversation, and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. As we were leaving it just slipped out of my mouth. I said this was a lot of fun, can we do it again some time. He said call me any time. When I got home, Oh My God, I realized what I had done. I had asked him for a date sometime in the future. What was I thinking? Should I tell my sister and ask her if she is OK with it. What can my mom and I do to stop my sister from being verbally abusive? I CANNOT stand my sister and i know that my family is not the best eigther but she needs to stop acting out. She screams at my little brother for everything. She blames me for every single thing that goes wrong in her life never taking resposability over her actions. Today i called our phone company to try and fix her phone and they needed the serial number on the SIM card. I took it out but i wasnt able to put it back. While i was trying she burst out in anger yelling that it was my fault that i should of never taken out the SIM card that now it wont work. I got angry and told her that i wasnt going to put it back in until she stopped like that. I am 20 but she is taller than me, i went to the restroom and she wouldnt let me pass through screaming that if i didnt fix it she would break my phone and get revenge on me. Every single day it's the same situation the moment we do something she doesnt like she will scream and say "i dont care". I know she misses her dad and misses my mom (works to take care of the fam dad isnt in the picture anymore) but that doesnt mean she can **** on anyone because of it. I have an aunt (she's not a biological aunt) who has known me my whole life. When my dad died she baby sat me all the time. I've always felt a odd when ever she hugs me. For a while I thought her and my mom were together. they're not but she's oddly close to me even though we aren't related. She didn't live with us but she would come over 6 days a week. I remember a short while after I got my first training bra, my mom left the room. My aunt hugged me and felt the bra and went under my shirt and started feeling. my mom walked in and she stopped. when I was a little older we were watching tv and she put her hand on my thigh. she used to give me massages and one time I think I remember her watching me undress. She bathed me a lot and I didn't like baths. I would cry and scream even when I got older. I've just felt awkward in my home growing up. And I've always been super weird in dressing rooms. I burst into to tears in gym class. I've been remembering for a few days but I kept passing it off as nothing and then the other day it hit me. Im confused. I don't know how to tell my mom? I can't tell and there are blank spots in my memory. I have an appointment with my therapist because I finally had a meltdown. What if I'm wrong? Do I tell anyway? Could it be me remembering wrong? This morning my mom and I got into another fight. She argues that my brother and I do no work at all and threatens to punish us somehow. I had enough this morning and so I started yelling at her proclaiming that we do do work. We sometime forget to do the work she says but we do work. We have our own problems, we go to school and clean tge house but sonetimes we dont get everything because we re not as detailed minded as her. Besides, her room isn t even clean so why should we listen to her. Anyway, it s been an hour and now I feel bad about what I said. Over 2 years ago, my bio. grandmother got angry with me about an email I wrote in which I sent her a photo of myself and said "who does this look like?" I have a big nose and so does she, but I was getting at the fact that I looked like a famous celeb w/a large nose that she can't stand, not her. She immediately wrote me back saying that I could "dish it out, but can't take it and to never speak to me again" and to basically get lost. I did what she said, stopped talking to her. She had twin children, one of which was my birth mother. When my birth mother was killed, she put me up for adoption. The twin died at birth. She never seemed to want me and made fun of or verbally attacked me after we found each other a over a decade later. Now, after SHE got angry with me- I found an email from her from this year in which she wrote me happy birthday and apologized for "over reacting". She has no other family, except a few distant relatives out of state and a brother that she doesn't really see, I don't think. Why after she got mad @ me yrs go, does she feel the desire to talk to me? *The email had gone into my trash folder after I filtered out her emails. She does bring drama into my life (but claims I and everyone else do that to HER) and I agreed with my husband and family on not talking to her any longer. It seems ridiculous to me because I am 28 and living in a different country on my own, but when I come to visit my father goes psycho if I don't want to do something he decided I'm gonna do. it scares me of course but I really am proud of him for going to fight for our country. he is my half brother and he lives with his dad in another state. his family down there is not giving him any support in the decision. my mom also isn't going to give him any support because she's just worried about him which I understand. I want him to know that I support him even though no one else is. Some of the stuff I don't think he can help and I know drug addiction is a disease so I feel wrong being mad at him as it would be like being mad at a diabetic for having diabetes. Yet he has ruined my mother's life for 9 years now. He wrecked a wedding she wanted to be happy at (her nephew's) because he was drugged so she was worried and he also apparently wrecked her Christmas last year (I was away with my father for the holiday so didn't see it). My mother and step-father have given him nothing but love but he rages, steals, and fails. Much of the rage has stopped as he has gotten older but nothing else has changed. Here's the thing, my 26 yr old sister is a greedy girl, she really often asks me to go out and buy food for her (she's too lazy and isn't at ease with her greed), sometimes asks me to lend her money she hardly ever gives back in promised time. It got ugly when she recently rummaged through my stuff and stole me 50 bucks. Soon after I noticed, she asked me to go out and buy her damn food again, I confronted her. I'm in my second year at sixth form and all of the coursework, homework and exam revision is just mounting p. I'm on a small break from revision at the moment, and I have 2 lessons this afternoon. For the past week or so, my mum has been asking me to help my sister with her homework and revision. My sister started her GCSEs this year. I keep saying to her that I can't because I have homework and revision of my own. My mum keeps saying that I can help her in my breaks, but I keep saying that there isn't any time for breaks as my A-Levels are more important than my sister's GCSEs. My mum then calls me a lazy and selfish for not helping my sister with her homework and revision. Is she right to call me lazy and selfish?

I never thought I was abused until this summer. I went to stay with my aunt, cousin, and uncle and their house was drastically different then mine. That's when I started to wonder. My mom had a really bad temper. I would get slapped, kicked, chased, objects thrown at me etc. Sometimes she would lock me out of the house all day and I would have to sit in the backward really hungry and thirsty. I remember having to pee behind some trees since she wouldn't let me in which was a nightmare. She was trying to teach me math and we were sitting on her bed and I didn't understand so she threw me off the bed against a chest of drawers and threw my crutches and textbooks at me. (I had a broken leg at the time). She threatened to kill my younger sister before. She locked our pets in cages in the garage. When I tried to stand up for the pets, saying I would take them to college with me, she gave me the silent treatment for at least 3 days, possibly more. She would call me fat even though I wasn't at the time, and I believed it. I simply gave up and kept eating, stress eating even, which caused me to actually become overweight. She insulted my intelligence, threatened to disown me if I so much as swore, told me she hated me. She told me she hoped I would soon be 18 so she would never have to see my ugly face again. I'm still just remembering some things that happened. My dad found my sister and I huddled in a corner telling him to call the police on her, but I can't remember it.

There is a huge family holiday coming up and my nephew is one of the only ones not coming, most couldn't but my nephew says "he didn't have the money at first" he lost his job and I told him to use his welfare money to pay fr the holiday but he refused, he looked for a job, got a job and saved his money but he is now too late as all bookings are finished, the holiday is in August 24th and the close of date was April 1st. My parents will, understandably, be grieving and so they will want to end any activity or tradition we have. Trips, holidays, etc... will come to an end if he dies. So while it is selfish of me to be just thinking of this, if he does die how can I not let it affect my life even though of course I will be sad he has died. I'm homeschooled, and I was finishing this thing up. No, I wasn't playing, I was finishing this project. I don't have to get up early or anything for school. But I'm scared that now she (supposedly) saw me she will tell my dad and punish me. She's the type to use stuff against me whenever I get in trouble. I'm not psychotic. I've always had friends and have been a hard worker. I'm personable and people like me. Unfortunately, my parents are in the middle of finalizing a nasty divorce and the way they have decided to deal with it is by threatening homelessness on me unless I take a bunch of anti-psychotic drugs. The psychiatrist is on their side and could not care less what I have to say. I'm living with my dad right now. He's rarely at home, he's always out at work or with his new girlfriend. He continuously tells me he doesn't want me living with him, and that I have to take all these mind-numbing fattening medications if I want a place to live. I've offered to find a place to stay, like get a room for rent. But he won't pay. He just bought tickets to go to Hawaii with his new girlfriend this Summer. Basically, the guy is the biggest douchbag on the face of the planet. My mom is no help and actually takes pleasure in watching me struggle as my dad tortures me. I'm 25. My dad's recommendations: "I don't know, go to a welfare center." or "Go to a half-way house". It's just ridiculous. Finding a job won't work until this summer, because I'm in the middle of a computer programming bootcamp. This just sucks. Thoughts? How can I at least avoid taking these horrible medications?

Hello, my name is Rhys and I am a 20 year old male currently living in Ireland with my boyfriend of three years. I was raised by two mothers (of the same sex), who co parented me. From what I understand, my biological father was put into jail with charges of attempted arson and drug trafficking. My biological mother did drugs when I was in her stomach, resulting in me being born premature and addicted to drugs. Because of this, I now have respiratory and heart issues, as well as I struggle in memory, even more so in being social, and I have had seizures. I struggle to gain weight and am underweight, as well as I have to take medication for problems with irritation, ADHD, and OCD. She gave me up to a shelter a few days after I was born. Basically, I moved out of my adoptive parents house this January and just an hour ago someone knocked on my door and when I answered it, it was my biological mother. I wasn't prepared for it. I mean I haven't really forgiven her for making me the way that I am and then here she is at my door. She acted like she didn't completely ruin my life, gave me a hug, and told me 'Look at how big you've grown.' I've been considering running away Since I was 14 But never did mostly cause I figured it'd be Difficult for a 14 Year old Boy to live as a runaway (not that it's easy for a 18 year old(but even more difficult)) For some background I live with my Mom and Grandfather and I didn't meet my dad till I was 11 and since then he's pretty out of the picture Anyways I have many reasons why I'm considering doing this and I'll list the majority.
