Question: Have You Known Someone Who Isn't What They Appear To Be? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 05:19 PM PDT My ex is one of those people. She looks and acts really sweet with anyone she isn't close with. She actually hates half the people she talks to and says some pretty ****** up stuff. She laughed one time after telling me about some dude's mom that died. And my dad is another person like this. Who have you known? |
Question: What did he mean by this? (10 points)? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 05:11 PM PDT This guy told me he gave me his Kik username as an online connection in case if he phone gets disconnected and then he said talk later. I've talked him before but not on Kik. |
Question: Username/nickname for the name, Min? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 05:07 PM PDT My name is Min, and I'm desperately looking for a good username to use on social media. Like, the nicknames I kinda want are ones where my name is in the word. Like, my friend's name is ella, and her username is ellaphant. |
Question: What should I say when people ask me why I don't have my car? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 04:57 PM PDT I always drive my car to school. I'm a senior. We have our own parking spots that we painted at the beginning of the year and now it's ours for the rest of the year. Mine is one of the front ones. Anyway, I have a psychological disorder where I talk to myself for about two minutes and I do not know what's going on. That hasn't happened in over a year but now it happened today, which means tomorrow my parents will drop me off at school. What is a legitimate excuse as to why I don't have my car when people ask? Like oil change? Last time I said that and someone said well that only takes an hour |

Question: I think a girl in my grade has an eating disorder? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 04:44 PM PDT She has always been thin, but she's lost so much weight this year. I was standing across from her the other day and I could see her hip bones protruding through her shirt and then when I went around her, I could completely see her spine and she wasn't even bending over. I know some people are naturally very skinny but like I said, she was nowhere near this skinny at the beginning of the year. She used to seem so happy and was really funny and now she never smiles, always looks so sad, and isn't very nice. I sit at the same table as her at lunch and every day she has one of those tiny granola bars, and I swear to you she eats it one piece of granola at a time. She isn't poor. I'm not trying to be nosy I'm just kind of worried because she is really a great person. I'm also not close enough with her to talk about it and I don't think it's right to make any kind of comment anyway. Should I do something or just let it go? |
Question: How can I become a person again? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 04:35 PM PDT I'm a guy and I just finished my senior year of high school online. I spend my junior year online also. So two years online. I was bullied very badly out of school, so I left. I got no respect, went to school with mean people, and was basically exiled. There was no homeschool group or anything. It was all a lie. I woke up and did computer work for two years. No other students. Just me and my computer alone. All day everyday. Now, I need to go get a life, meet a girlfriend, healthy stuff. I just need to act normal and "cover up" what happen to me. No girl wants a guy who was bullied. Anyway; I'm getting a job. I hate school and I'm not going to further my education. How can I meet other people? I look very out there, so I'll fix that. Keeping the long hair probably isn't a good idea. It's hard seeing all these prom photos online. |
Question: My friend says I look poor? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 04:31 PM PDT Yesterday at lunch, this was out conversation- Her: My family's richer than yours Me: Um, how can you tell? Her:Your clothes Me: What about my clothes? Her: I can tell if someones poor just by looking at them. Just so you know, my friend bragged about being richer than me while I was talking about where we were buying dresses for a formal dance when she said this. I feel really bad about myself because my family is actually poor. We can barely afford anything (my friend doesn't know this) and she just judged me based on what I wear. What would you have said? And what should I do? Thanks (btw I'm 14 and shes 15) |

Posted: 24 Apr 2016 03:47 PM PDT Sorry this isn't about love or anything but my friends and I are going through a horrible problem. College starts soon, and my friends and I are all going to different schools in different states. We don't want to loose each other, but we know we'll make plenty of new friends. But we've been best friends since preschool, any advice. |
Question: Is she jealous of me? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 03:44 PM PDT I've never met her in person but if I post a selfie she will too and it will be a copy of mine. If I put my hair a certain way she'll mimic it. I upload a family photo or photos of friends she will too. It's immature and annoying. |
Posted: 24 Apr 2016 03:37 PM PDT In the next season, I start playing soccer in a team. I'm 15 years old and I don't have many friends. It's hard to me to make new friendships. I'm not very sociable and I'm very shy. But, soccer is one of my deepest passions and since little girl that I wanted to play in a team. Please help me, how do I get along with my teammates? What should I do? I really want to make friends there. |
Question: How can I get my friend to understand and respect my decisions.? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 03:31 PM PDT I ve become more interested in becoming a vegan as I believe it s a healthier lifestyle and I love animals!! I ve explained this to my best friend and she thinks it s stupid. That I will lack in proteins etc. I have explained to her I can get proteins in other foods. But the most frustrating thing she says is it s how the food chain works you need to eat meat animals eat other animals and we need to eat them, that s how it works I can t even reply to her commit cause I simply can t because I think what she is saying doesn t make sense to me. I dont want her to stop eating meat and dairy etc I just want her to respect my decisions and explain to her that it s not apart of the human chain to eat meat? Thank you:-) |
Question: Highschool party up north? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 03:27 PM PDT So I'm thinking about hosting a highschool party soon, I own a cottage up north (about a three hour drive) and I wanted advice on how to go about it. Me and my friend hosting go to differant schools so should we each invite a sum of people and invite them up? |
Question: Why did he give me that weird look? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 03:16 PM PDT Yesterday I went to go take a test in this guy office. I went in, sat down, and completed the test. When I was handing it to him, he stared at me with a smirk on his face. It was kinda weird because he was staring at my face the entire time with this smirk while I was putting it in his hand. He then asked me how my other work was coming along. Why would a guy awkwardly stare at a girl like that? |
Question: Can a 16 year old go to a club with their parent(s)? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 02:59 PM PDT My mom is going out and I really want to go and just dance and have a good time. Me and my mom s friends get along and we all have fun just hanging out like they are teenagers too. And although this may-be a ridiculous question but is is possible for me to go with them? If I have proof that I m sixteen and my mom allows me to. She would if it was possible. BTW I m asking about the state of Georgia. I feel like if I don t go I ll be missing out and they will look down on me. And I m not trying to grow up faster or rush anything and I m not "fast" or anything. I just don t have any friends my age. I m pretty much a loner with no life. All I do is read so I just want to go have fun for once with people who I enjoy being with. I of course wouldn t drink. Water maybe. But please answer and help me out here. |
Question: Should I tell him that I cat-fished him? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 02:45 PM PDT I used a fake profile to find a shy guy from my class's fb. We've talked briefly in person. I didn't find him, but found his sister (who I don't know), and asked if he was single. She said ya, and said he'd be happy if I contacted him. Only prob, his sis said I was keen, so he messaged my fake profile his # and said he doesn't go on fb often, but text if I want to hang out or get dinner. Do I confess in person, text him, or pretend it didn't happen? |
Question: How do I convince my parents to allow me to go to prom with a senior? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 02:35 PM PDT So I'm a sophomore in high school (15 years old) and I have INCREDIBLY strict parents. Anything that has to do with a boy, I'm out of there. However, a friend of mine had a breakup recently and he asked me to go to prom with him. I've known him for ten years, but my parents aren't close to him. I really feel like I owe it to him because he has helped me over the years with my grades, academic choices, and tennis skills. However, my mom accuses me of being in a relationship with him even though I try to reassure her that is not the case. They are both immigrants, so of course school first. I've worked hard in all of my classes, excelling in honors/AP classes, and I have all A's. Is prom really that dangerous as they say? That is the one thing I'm sure they will hold against me. His group consists of valedictorians, salutatorians, and geniuses, so I know that no trouble will be involved (drugs, alcohol, etc.) They don't have to pay a cent; I've been saving up for a special occasion like this. My parents are stubborn people and I know that they love me, but I feel like I worked hard to enjoy some time with my friend. What should I do????? |

Question: I'm afraid my friends and I would fall apart.? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 02:12 PM PDT My friends and I are graduating in a month... and they say that we would always be friends but I'm just scared that it's not true an we would just lose touch and fall apart..we've been friends for almost 6 years but I still don't believe that we would stay close.. Please don't say stuff like "You don't need friends" or "Things are meant to change" and stuff like that..because I know that but they are one of the most important persons in my life right now. I'm the one who always pretend like I don't care if I lose them or not but I know deep down... that I don't know what would happen if I lost them. 😥😩😭 I just need some good advice. |

Question: My friend is always putting me down? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 02:04 PM PDT So I have a small group of friends who are all amazing at something, but there is this one girl in our "group" so to speak, that isn't good at anything. We love her just the same, but the thing is, she kind of munches off of our talents, like a mother. Two of my friends are both really good artists, which is good for them and such, but I also like to consider myself a good artist as well. However... Whenever I share the drawings with my mother friend (who I'll call Sara for this), she always just kind of... Here allow me to do a representation. "Hey Sara! Look! I drew this!" "Oh. I mean... It's nice. But have you seen (other friend's name) drawing? Now that's a drawing." I know she doesn't mean to do it, but it still hurts... I don't know what to do... It's gotten to the point where I've given up trying to show anyone my drawings... Any advice? |

Question: Advice to tell my brother? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 01:49 PM PDT So my older brother loves to compare himself to me a lot. That s because he feels as though I have a better life than him as a student, seeing as though I regularly hang out with my friends, honor roll grades, and he sees that I m always happy. He feels that he doesn t have what I have, that if he leaves his friends wouldn t care/notice. He wants what I have, he told me. I didn t know what to tell him for advice and I feel bad because of that. |

I can't make friends. there will be a group of people my age at the park and I'll just be sitting on the bench being a loner. I just don't know how to approach them. I'm always worried about seeming weird and annoying. i feel so alone. I'm in highschool and I go to school out of town so Most people live there. I feel so lonely and it makes me dislike myself because I'm so awkward.I just don't know what to do. can you please help me with this, how can I approach them ? |
Question: Good Birthday Present Ideas? Advice? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 01:41 PM PDT So my friend's birthday is in a few months and I can't actually give her something face-to-face because we don't live close and we talk online. I thought of playing my piano and singing a song(I actually made up some lyrics go along with it but never really finished it and am only using the same keys over and over again)and I have a pretty decent voice but find it really hard to sing and play sometimes. I thought maybe something else that would also be really sweet since we've had a few rough patches here and there - kinda like something she'd look back on or cherish. |
Question: Should i ask her to add me on facebook? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 01:38 PM PDT I want to keep in touch with a close friend of mine as she is about to graduate from college and I will still be at college. I want to keep in touch with her so I could message her through Facebook, however I want to avoid sounding pushy, clingy, or creepy since she clearly has a lot going on with graduation and such around the corner. I tried adding her a while back, but the add friend button is grey so I cannot add her. Should I do this and, if so, how do I do this? Thanks in advance! |

Question: I need help being myself around everyone? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 12:43 PM PDT I can only be myself around people I'm really close to. Question: Things escalated with a friend? Was I out of line? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 12:25 PM PDT Update: I was hanging out w. a friend. we joke hard. We typically have NO LIMITS. I said "you stink" & sprayed perfume on myself & his arm. He flipped out & dumped beer on my phone and kept calling me a c*nt. I didnt argue when he got mad. I apologized & said it was a joke. Sorry while he flip out while he was poured beer on my phone. "I get it. Im sorry. I understand you have limits" someone at the bar said it escalated & he called me some "pretty cruel names." Was I really out of line? |
Question: Do people have a hard time trying to "categorize" you? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 12:15 PM PDT Are you like me—a bundle of contradictions? I'm not hip, but I'm not lame either—I'm actually quite edgy and provocative. People have tried to write me off as "boring", but they know they can't—cuz I'm often funner than THEM! Lol. I'm nerdy and I'm cool at the same time. I'm serious. I'm goofy. I honestly think this p--sses some people off, because they want me to fit an easy "label." I don't mean to brag, but that's why I'm here: I wouldn't talk about this out loud w/ my friends or family, lol! So you can share with me too! What are you similar experiences??? |
Question: How to join a new group of friends? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 12:09 PM PDT Hey guys, I am in a group of friends that I'm feeling more and more distant from, I feel bad about myself while I'm around them and they do stuff and don't invite me... I know someone in a lower grade that has some cool friends, and I'd love to join their group and leave mine. I only know the one guy very little but I really really wanna be friends with him, actually I wanna be friends with him more than I want to be part of his group, I wanna be able to say "Hey, wanna go to ... on Friday" and then he'll join me, my current friends don't do anything with me and I'm really lonely. How do I become a part of their group? This is an all boys high school by the way |
Question: Best friend is talking behind my back?!? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 12:01 PM PDT So my best friend let s call her "T" used to be so close to me. We would do everything together. Then middle school started and T clung on to my other friend from sports, let s call her P. P and I have known eachother since first grade. And now T and P were hanging out all the time, sleeping over 3 nights in a row on school nights, EVERYTHING. And I was just sitting there watching them, and let me tell you that hurts. Every other one of my "so called friends noticed it too! But they just kept getting closer. Then I confronted them about it. And they both said " Oh no, we re still close!" Then P said "guys why don t we all hang out this Friday!" I said ok. Then Friday came and and at P s house it was like I was watching my two closest friends stab me in the back right infront of my eyes. They were sitting right next to eachother, making jokes only they understood, laughing at stuff on their phone I couldn t see. And earlier today, I decided I had enough and really wanted to see if they were talking behind my back. So I logged into T s snapchat and so their convo together. And what do I come to see. Them saying I m a liar, a bitc*, etc. I just don t know what to do. I m heart broken and can t take it anymore. It sucks, and is making my middle school experience awful. |
Question: My mom doesn't want me to have any friends? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 12:00 PM PDT My mom says that friends aren't real and everytime I tell her about one of them she goes off on me and tell me they're going to spread rumors about me and that's why she never lets me go out anywhere with my friends and whenever I'm going somehwhere she says don't even think I'm letting you go out she wants me to stay home all day just like her doing nothing like I need friends I have 0 friends but when I have an opportunity to make friends and it's really hard for me she ruins it for me I don't know what to do I have depression and she is not making it better |
Question: Have you ever been a pen pal to an inmate? if so, how was it? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:48 AM PDT I saw an ad online to write an inmate so i checked the site out. Im thinking of writing this particular person. Not expecting anything, just thought it would be nice to meet someone new. Especially someone who probably could use a warm letter from the outside. If you have ever done this or know someone who has please let me know what you think. thank you for reading my question! |
Question: What should I text her? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:48 AM PDT There's this girl who I "like-like" ;) (not girl friend!) who's just been really kind to me, just by being there for me in a hard time and I'd like to tell her how awesome she's been. I don't really text her that often but wondered what would be a nice thing that's not awkward to say to her to make her go "aww"?! That's not too creepy or keen |
Question: I am helping a friend with his homework, but he isnt coorperating with me? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:33 AM PDT I am helping a friend with an essay. However, to help him i need more information. I understand what to do in it but i dont have information on what he did in the class. Since this part of the essay is about a survey he did. I texted him and he badically got mad that i wanted more information. But i cant help him out if i do not got the correct information. What do i do? He got mad for nothing and all i want to do is help him. He asked me if i could and i said yes and now he is being rude about it no this isn't cheating, my friend does not have wifi at his house and he asked me to send it to his professor. The school is closed we are on spring break. |
Question: Do I have a chance at having sex with him again? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:32 AM PDT I'm in my late 20's and I met this guy online who is in his early 40's we are 13 years apart we live in different states but I met him in person for the first time in June of 2015. We were intimate when we first met in person. I was in his town a couple of weeks ago however he and I got into an argument and we didn't meet up. We have talked since then and I told him that I would be back to see him. That I would let him know when I'm in town and he said ok. I asked him if he were planning to leave anytime soon and he said he would be around. Should I go back and see him again? I saw a interview where he said he spends 90 percent of his time alone. He and I are not in a long distance relationship I just enjoy spending time with him. |

Question: Anyone else who doesn't have any friends? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:24 AM PDT I have social anxiety and I have no friends because I'm really quiet and I don't talk to anyone unless they talk to me first. Then when I do talk, I always sound awkward and my face turns red and I just embarrass myself, so I don't even bother talking. I don't want to be popular. I don't want a huge circle of friends, I just want one best friend. I want to have that best friend that we can tell each other everything and support each other through it all. We can have sleepovers and talk on the phone all the time and just have fun. I feel like it's too late for me to find a best friend like this. I'm 17 and everyone my age already has that best friend, or they're already in a friend group, and most cliques are not willing to let new people in. I had a best friend last year, but she didn't think of me as her best friend, and she doesn't go to my school anymore. She had her own friend group anyways but she was my only friend. I literally wake up, go to school, come home and then sit in my room and listen to music, eat and watch TV alone, then sleep. I want to volunteer but I just feel like I have no motivation. Even just getting out of bed in the morning, I feel like I have to force myself. On weekends I go out with family sometimes though which is fun. I am healthy, have a roof over my head and food to eat. I understand that I could have much worse problems. I'm grateful for everything I do have, but I just want to know if there is anyone else who can relate to this? Thanks. |
Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:21 AM PDT On the family members list, she is labeled as my sister as am I. But she doesn't talk to me anymore and we still have all of our photos of when we were best of friends. Why is she doing this. Did I do something and she'd rather not talk to me. Like how does a person just go awol without any explanation. Ive tried calling, txting , msging her on fb but nothing from her part. I don't want to be the one to unfriend he on fb because I still hope in the future she contacts me and maybe she feels the same way, which is why she hasn't blocked me or unfriended me completely but has gone completely silent. We've known each other since 1st year of highschool..I thought we could tell each other everything or at least have each others backs. Now when I need her the most, she wont talk to me. |
Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:09 AM PDT So I am moving to a new state and I am extremely nervous!! I have been homeschooled for two years now, so I kind of forgot how public school is, in terms of the social aspect. I am extremely shy, whenever I meet someone new I usually kind of don't talk and I really want to get over it. I am overweight too, so that is terrifying for me. I weigh 210 right now, but I am hoping I can drop atleast 40-50 pounds more before school starts. I am also a girl who is 5"6, so that's just a little info on me. Also, I have never had tons of friends but a few close ones. I am moving to Louisiana, I was just wondering if highschool is going to be hard for me? I will go into tenth grade. Thanks! |
Question: Why does this happen?!? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:07 AM PDT This is happening everywhere!!! So all my friends have boyfriends that they keep a secret or have to let go because of strict parents. My parents are totally cool with a be if only I had options! How is it that all the girls with strict parents have options and I'm open and so are my parents, but nobody comes knocking at my door?! UNFAIR |
Question: Do I have a chance at having sex with him again? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 11:02 AM PDT I'm in my late 20's and I met this guy online who is in his early 40's we are 13 years apart we live in different states but I met him in person for the first time in June of 2015. |
Question: I've lost my best friend and feel the worst I've ever felt, how do you get through it? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 10:56 AM PDT She hasn't died or anything ( just in case that's what people think) but she's been cruel and mean spirited to me so I don't know if we can go back to being friends because things have changed so much and I see her completely differently now after what she said to me. But she was a good friend, I told her a lot of stuff all the time and we spent tons of time together so I just need advice on how to move on and cope with the loss of all that. Has anyone else have to do this as well? |
Question: What is a really nice thing to text a girl? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 10:37 AM PDT There's this girl who I "like-like" ;) (not girl friend!) who's just been really kind to me, just by being there for me in a hard time and I'd like to tell her how awesome she's been. I don't really text her that often but wondered what would be a nice thing that's not awkward to say to her to make her go "aww"?! That's not too creepy or keen |
Question: Is my best friend really my friend? What should I do when he ignores me? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 10:30 AM PDT Twice now my best friend has ignored my texts at random for a couple of days. Both times I've gotten upset because I worried he was mad at me or that he didn't want to be friends anymore. I told him at both times that I was worried, he wouldn't respond for a couple of days. Afterward, both times, he said he was just in a bad mood that had nothing to do with me and he wouldn't do it again. I said it was ok if he didn't want to talk sometimes but asked if he would send me a text if I was upset so that I didn't feel bad. It's the third time now. We are long distance friends so we talk on the phone almost every day. Thursday he said he didn't really want to talk & was kind of in a weird mood. Friday I sent a response a text from the day before & he didn't respond for half the day. He finally did & just made some joke that had nothing to do with what we were talking about. He didn't seem to want to talk, so I asked if he was ok and he said yeah and I left it at that. Thinking he needed space I didn't text him until Saturday night Me: Are you up for texting a little bit? Him (an hour later): ? Sure Me: Oh good :) I haven't been texting you because I thought you wanted some space... Sorry if I was wrong haha I wanted to talk but I thought you didn't want to lol" Him (half hour later): .... Me: I was going to say that earlier I looked and they changed my grade in that class... I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but are you mad at me? And I got no response. Am I overreacting? |
Question: How do you usually deal with goodbyes? I'm having trouble...? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 10:29 AM PDT I just recently said goodbye to my castmates and crew of my theatre group and they were, in my opinion, the best group of people I could have ever hoped to meet. Since I'm a graduating senior, I might never see these people again, and coping with it is not easy. Any advice? :/ I know this may seem pathetic, but I'm terrible at dealing with goodbyes. |
Question: Family has destroyed my life? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 10:14 AM PDT I am a mental patient and i am always and still getting all the ignorance and mocking from society. I never had nore still having friends. I have always been in home watching tv or surfing Internet in phone but never lived real life or enjoyed real fun and it's still going the same. In my childhood my family didn't allowed me to be with any other group of boys or anyone. They always kept me in home and never gave me freedom to live friend or social life. They ruined my childhood and ability to make friends or getting interacted with anyone. Now at 22 even if i have friends i can't live the Social life as if i was allowed to make and live in my childhood when these things actually take place in life. Even if i have friends today life cannot be like that as other boys live. I am getting these thoughts day by day and getting teared apart. Now no thing can help me not even you people here. Now it's not possible at all. I am having intense suicidal thoughts with the fact that nothing can change my life now. And the only thing now i can do is Suicide because i don't wanna live my life like it is going to be with the reality that i can't live real social life like other boys do. Now whenever i mention these things and facts to my family about they destroyed my life or anything like that they get silent like they are kind a accepting those facts and now they don't care about it or they wanna do nothing about it. Now only thing that left is doing suicide to get rid of this painful... and "no" life without any future. I wanna file a case against my family, can i do it? I am 22. |
Question: What to do when you have no one? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 10:11 AM PDT I am a 21 year old who's a communter to community college and work in a retail store. I have no one to talk to. Me and my old friends have gone our separate way because I don't drink and stopped talking to me because of it. My my girlfriend just left me 2 days ago. I have no one to talk to. I feel so sad over the break up but I don't feel comfterable talking to my family about. I now realized I have no friends. I feel so alone and I don't even know how to make friends without having friends to go out with. |
Posted: 24 Apr 2016 10:08 AM PDT I mean they get no advantage. Jobless guy ? Why would anybody want to be friends ? I'm stuck being alone. |
Question: Very odd friendships ....is this childish of me? Posted: 24 Apr 2016 10:06 AM PDT I understand people are busy & have their own lives but a few of my friends make absolutely no effort what so ever to reach out to me. It's very odd. I'm always the one reaching out to them & if I don't I don't hear from them at all. They are never available on weekends only on occasion during the week & it's always later in the evening after work. It just seems a little odd to me. I've decided not to contact them at all until they reach out to me. Is this childish of me? I just feel friendship is a two way street. |
