Posted: 18 Apr 2016 08:56 PM PDT My husband started physically and emotionally abusing me in Sept '15. He'd tell me how fat I am, manhandle me, hit me, throw me to the ground and insult me. When we moved to a new area (Portsmouth, VA), I got a job as a waitress/cook. From the first pay day, he'd take my whole pay check, telling me it was to "pay him back for room and board" and all the "financial hardship" I put him through when I first married and moved with him with no job. When we got our tax refund of $1700, he let me have $200 to replace my phone and used the rest to buy a broken down go-cart that he then placed in our apartment and stained the carpet, ignoring me telling him it needed to be placed on a tarp. When a female friend of his befriended me as well, he began making sexual slurs and asking me when I'd leave him for that lesbian slut (she was HIS friend and is completely straight!) and telling other people that I was cheating on him with her just because we'd go out to lunch or go shopping together. I caught him messaging other women on Craigslist, Facebook, and dating sites, looking to hook up and took screenshots. He completely blew up and demanded I delete them. When I refused, he pushed me against a wall and screamed at me before throwing me to the ground so hard, he bruised my hip and fractured my wrist. I had to go the hospital for the wrist. At this point, I was thinking about leaving him, but my job couldn't support me. I went to Navy legal for advice and **** really hit the fan. He found out through a couple we're friends with that I was looking into getting a separation agreement, followed by a divorce after the separation period. He tried being sweet to me for a week, hoping I'd change my mind, I think, but there was no chance of that anymore. When he realized that wouldn't work, it seems he decided to find a way to turn this to his own benefit. Now, I'm a short woman. I barely hit 5'2". It's hard for me to reach glasses and dishes on high cabinets and I've dropped many a dish because of it. Well, a week ago (2 weeks before I was planning to give him my completed Separation Agreement and move out), I dropped a glass I was trying to get while I was cooking. I cleaned it up and finished our supper (stir-fry). Well, when I dished out the food, he starts yelling that I'm trying to kill him because it seems I missed some pieces and left. He went to the ER (he hadn't even touched the food!) to have his "injuries" treated and disappeared for a few days. Tired of the BS, I asked the landlord to remove me from the lease. She set up a meeting between the 3 of us for the next day. Well, he shows up with 2 cops and a temporary protective order and has me escorted out with nothing more than a single bag of clothes and my work uniform with no place to go. Our friend picked me up from my job when she finished work and is trying to help me At this point, I don't care about protecting his Navy career anymore and called his command to report the BS going on. Turns out, 4 other people have reported their concerns over how he treated me. The command tells him he has to support me even if we're separated. He tells them that HE's filing for divorce against ME on grounds of physical, emotional & financial abuse! He's hired a good lawyer and has "evidence" of all the evil things I've done. I can't afford a lawyer and don't know what to do |
Question: Why do westerns bother to get married? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 08:42 PM PDT I am just curious, why do want to get married when there is nothing specifically special about it or something you didn't do which you are waiting to do after getting married. For example, you live with your partner and engage in sexual activity, so why get married when you already do all this? |
Question: Can I get my money back? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 08:02 PM PDT I paid 2,000 a month for the past 2 years the child started to look nothing like either of us so I got a paternity test done and she is not my child.I am so angry since my ex wife gave me hell all the time and will barely let me see our daughter and I'm not even the biological father.I have no problem being in the her life it's just that I shouldn't have had to pay so much to my ex wife, anytime I want to be anywhere near the child she gives me hell I'm so angry can I get my money back and have her get the real father to pay child support? |

Posted: 18 Apr 2016 07:42 PM PDT He had to lay her off 2 years ago, so I think he may just be trying to relieve his guilt for that, and help her out at the same time. She s a great girl, married, and I have no reason to be wary of her. But... Why did my husband do his darnedest to make sure she got that job? And he keeps texting/calling her, under the guise that it s interview related. Is it really?? |

Posted: 18 Apr 2016 07:01 PM PDT All, my ex husband wrote our kids off. After 4 years of not seeing them he would like to finally have summer visitation. Am I being unreasonable or controlling by asking for more of a relationship first (between he and children)? I ask because if I say no he will say that I m being a controlling person. I m not!!! Shoot!! A summer off would be great but I can t bring myself to it, it would be like I let my kids go with a stranger. |
Question: Is Marriage More for Males or Females? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 06:40 PM PDT The media tries to make it like women always want to get married but in real life guys are always threatening to make girls their wives especially when shes really attractive. Thats the first thing they always say. Plus men are known to go into depression with no wife and kids to come home to where women will throw divorce parties. |
Question: Why is married ex contacting me? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 06:05 PM PDT Its been a year since he got married and he sent me a text asking how I was doing. The last time he texted me was right before his wedding asking to meet me at a hotel because he wanted to talk. I didn't go, for obvious reasons. I asked him why he texted me again, and he said he wanted to say hi and quote, "Didn't want anything from me." I was pretty short with him, so that ended the conversation. He hasn't tried contacting me since. Why did he reach out to me in the first place if he's happily married which he claims? |

Posted: 18 Apr 2016 05:21 PM PDT One woman might want to date this guy because he is driving a nice car. Another woman wants to marry another guy because he has a stable job in finance or accounting. I guess that guys might be the same way in regards to looks but women are like that as well. It seems like if you are looking for other people to provide you things from the relationship that sounds an like a business relationship like working for someone. How is that different than prostitution? |
Posted: 18 Apr 2016 04:58 PM PDT I married my wife about 1 year ago because I had a baby girl with her and I was living at my parents house.. my parents are seventh day adventist.. so with this religion I can't live in my parents house with a women without being married.. so we got married smh.. my wife can't cook, she doesn't drive and she doesn't work.. that means that I do all the shopping, after work I go to the grocery store so she can cook the little things she know how to cook, if I have to go to the ER I have to drive myself.. to make matters worse she has a 5 year old boy that I support also! All she does is sit at our new home with the kids and do her online schooling for architecture and smoke cigarettes.. |
Question: In Texas who is responsible for the funeral expenses of a deceased spouse? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 04:44 PM PDT Is the living spouse responsible for the debt? Question: Sign for car in different state than auto loan? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 04:14 PM PDT My husband is in the military and we were just approved for a car loan. He is in a different state than I am, but we are listed as co borrowers on the loan. The bank we got the loan through is in the same state as my husband. Will I be able to sign for the car in the state I am in, or does it have to be in the state where my husband is? |
Posted: 18 Apr 2016 03:48 PM PDT I'm a single mom (45 years old)who recently got divorced. (kids are mostly moved out, but I do have an 8 year old and 10 year old) I currently have absolutely no desire to have a relationship with a man. However, I do have sexual desires. Maybe I'm unusual for a woman, but I want to have real sex (and not just masturbate). I recently started to have a sexual relationship with a much younger guy (24). I have no desire to have a relationship with him, but the sex with him is awesome. He has a sexy body, knows how to turn me on sexually, and is very sexually attracted to me (which is very flattering for someone so much younger). My problem is how it would affect my kids. I've largely kept it hidden from them. I usually have sex 1-2 a week. It's usually when they're with their dad or I'll get a babysitter. My worst fear is my kids would find out and it would negatively effect them. I also feel silly because he's so much younger than me. He could be young enough to be my son. I also feel a bit silly for just having sex but not wanting a relationship. My questions are am I doing enough to prevent my kids form finding out, what should I do if my kids find out, is it bad that I'm doing it with someone so much younger, and is sex and no relationship bad? Would it affect my kids negatively if they found out? Am I worrying for nothing? We do use protection BTW. And I take birth control |
Question: How to move on after an unwanted divorce/breakup? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 03:31 PM PDT I'm still technically married to her. But we have been separated for over a year. Now she lives in DC and I live in Georgia. Because of her job I have full custody of our kids. She rarely sees them maybe a week every few months. The kids miss her everyday. I do too. She's says she's gone because I was unable to provide for the mainly completely if she died. I keep saying I understand but I'm working on it. Our kids are 2 and 4. She's also mad because I wasn't the best house keeper, but I did do pretty good for dealing with 2 hyper active toddlers running the place. I know God would bless me with a good job if I kept on my path, going to school and working. She's pissed because she "had to work through her pregnancies" I hated not being able too but because I had legal issues at the time I was unable to find gainful employment. My case was dismissed and I'm working on improving my chances. But this past year and change has been so hard. She refuses to talk, and when she does it's to tell me we are done and I f'd up our family so the kids being sad is all on me. How do I get pass this depression? An am I stupid for letting her get me down? |
Question: Why won't my spouse defend me? Should he? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 03:14 PM PDT My mother in law and I can't stand one another, we have been arguing all week. My husband (her son) and I have been married nearly a decade and yet we still cant decide if we want a relationship w/each other. My mom is extremely co dependent on me, and at her suggestions, i sometimes say nasty/disrespectful things to my in laws. Today, I attempted to reconcile w/her and she lashed out at me (via text of course) about how I went and hung out w/my HS boyfriend out of town (many yrs ago) and how I "cheated". Thing is, I never cheated. I hung out with the guy, walked the mall, and we got into a shouting/cursing match and never spoke again. My mother in law started saying how she would have divorced her spouse if he hung out with an ex and was questioning why her son didnt leave me. I have been crying all day about it and my husband just says it wasnt right to bring it up, but refuses to get onto her about saying this and bringing up 100 past things I have said or done. If my mom did this to him, I would not hesitate to fuss at my mom. So, is my husband right and not calmly/respectfully saying something to his mom? I feel that by saying nothing to her- he is agreeing w/her behavior. My mom attempted to call her and question her about her motives behind attacking me with the story about hanging out with an ex (nothing romantic actually happened) and I dont think she picked up for her. My mom doesnt like my father in law at all, and also dislikes his wife. She things they are spoiled rich ppl and his mother is a lazy housewife. She makes fun of them, so do I. My MIL and I cant decide if we want a relationship w/each other NOT my husband and I. I DID NOT say that I am not sure about whether or not I want a relationship with my husband, i said my mother in law and I are not sure if we want a relationship. |

Question: Tennessee alimony question? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 03:01 PM PDT I am going through the later stages of a divorce. My ex and I went to mediation two weeks ago and he agreed to pay me alimony so that i can pay a hospital bill that was created when I was hospitalized due to his actions which is what the alimony is based upon. My question is if he does not pay alimony after the divorce is finalized by the judge xcetera is it true that I can go to the court clerk and file contempt papers without the help of an attorney because I cannot afford one. Any help or advice you can give me would be appreciated. Personal opinions are not appreciated. Thanks |

Question: Divorce: How much are they each REALLY entitled to? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 01:41 PM PDT I read that when a couple divorces basically what they split a combination of what they earned together, net income, property, children custody, etc. But I ve always wondered about the possesions they had before they were married. Let s say a man has a house and a car before he gets married. He gets married and his wife moves in with him at his house and after 5 years they divorce. Would she be entitled to anything related to the house or the car or is that strictly the husbands property since he already owned it before they began to share possessions? An answer with an explanation would be appreciated. Thank you! |
Question: Is it hard being the husband of a powerful woman? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 01:36 PM PDT Our society tends to looks down on "normal" men that are married to powerful women. So does that mean life is hard for the husband of a female governor or CEO or any woman in power? It seems like it would be, especially for a husband of a female president |
Question: Is modern marriage about anything other than what a man can do for a woman? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 12:18 PM PDT Is it the norm these day if a man loses his job or has hard times the woman is going to leave because the man no longer offers her utility? That really seems like it would be devastating. If this is the case then how is marriage any different than prostitution? Even if it cost 300 dollars an hour I think its cheaper than having your life turned upside down and losing half your money plus other money you spent on the woman throughout the relationship. |
Question: Would it be hypocritical to divorce a cheating wife if she knew you had a cuckold fantasy? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 12:17 PM PDT Would it be hypocritical to divorce a cheating wife or break up with a cheating girlfriend if she knew you had a cuckold fantasy? The issue is really about betrayal. Because the humiliation and hurting part of it is honestly a turn on to a cuckold. So how can one go about leaving his significant other if he enjoys her actions? The problem with this fantasy is that it's much more complex than anything else. It involves the actions of several parties, a variety of emotions and a bunch of conflicting elements. Conflicting is really the key word. If said person ("cuckold") was really hurt by it, where do you draw the line from feeling hurt and feeling turned on? The issue is not about whether the wife or girlfriend is in the wrong. I think that goes without saying. The problem is that it's abusive and attractive at the same time. It can make someone turn into a slave. |

Question: My wife is sleeping with another man? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 09:18 AM PDT My wife and I have a 2 year old son. We got married after she found out that she was pregnant. Our marriage has been rocky and tough but i still love her with all my heart. About 6 months ago I made a huge mistake and I hit her. She knows exactly what to say to get under my skin but that's no excuse. She didn't leave me because of our son but she has a separate room now and she doesn't do anything with me. It's like we're roommates instead of husband and wife. She has told me to my face that she doesn't love me she doesn't like me and she's only with me for our son. Well about four months ago she started dating another guy. He comes to pick her up several times a week but he has never come inside as far as I know. Sometimes she takes our son with her. I asked her last night if she has slept with him and she said yes. My heart just sank. She said that she loves him and that he treats her and our son good and that soon she is going to file for divorce and for custody of our son and they are going to move in together. She says this stuff to me like it's nothing to her but it kills me inside. I don't know what to do. This is the woman I love and I have to watch her almost every day go off with another man because of one mistake that I made. I need advice. I don't know what to do. |

Question: Am I the only person who basically lives outside? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 07:37 AM PDT Am I the only person in the world who loves being outside most of the time? Im a 21 year old female and I am always outside. My husband says its annoying that I never want to watch movies or spend time with him doing things "normal" people do. I don't like movies and when he makes me watch them with him I fall asleep which makes him sad. We live in Germany because of where he works so Im far away from my family and my old friends. Im a people person, I need human contact whether its messaging or in real life. I just need someone who is more like me to be friends with. Everyone thinks Im a freak because I have so many weapons. But really thats not so weird is it? I love knives and swords and bow and arrows. I spend my time practicing self defense, because I don't trust a lot of people .-. Am I the only one who is like this? I feel like im trapped in the wrong time era. |
Question: Do I have to pay for the last month I was living with my ex? Posted: 18 Apr 2016 06:50 AM PDT I am currently going through a divorce. I moved out of the house we were both living in, March 01, 2016. Since then I have been on my own. He wants half of everything for the month of February and well I don't think I should have to pay it since we were still married. I used my pay check that month (February) for deposit and rent on the apartment I am currently living in. Is there a way to justify not having to pay this? I want to note that he is a car salesman so there were months where he brought in 200-300 dollar checks or not one at all. It was my check that kept us paid. |

Posted: 18 Apr 2016 02:17 AM PDT I asked him the question and he answered honestly. Should I be offended and/or very concerned about his thinking? We ve been married for just over a year. We re both in our early 30's. He has said and done things to hurt me related to other women, his desires, comparing me to his past, etc. Also, our marriage has already been beyond rough in many ways. Question: I am a 33 year old Guy, I married 3 years ago. My wife is Asexual.? Posted: 17 Apr 2016 02:37 PM PDT When we were dating, she didn't tell me. I am from one of the Countries in West Africa. In my culture too much pressure is on Women who are unmarried and without a child as the approach late twenties. I notice then that she never liked kissing and anytime i insist, she end up washing her mouth multiple times (She always did it secretly) But i didn't know what asexual was then. And I Love Her. After our wedding, i also notice the sex was not what i expected. She is always distant and always ask what is keeping me from climax. After she had our first son, she now opened up to me that she was asexual and never liked sex. That her reason for even doing it before was that she wanted a Child. Now, is 1yr and 3 months and i have never had sex. Whenever i asked both directly and indirectly she will always turn me down. But she expects me to be romantic in our relationship but NO SEX or KISSING I have thought of having an affair but I have a very active conscience and my faith does not permit it. Presently, am considering Chemical Castration, so that the desire that makes me keep asking can die down. I have asked her for divorce, she refused and reports me to elders. (I come from a community that does not condone Divorce). I can live a celibacy life, but not when I am living with a woman that appear naked in bed every night. My question is, Can someone advice me on how to live with her now I know she is asexual? & What are the implication of me using the drug ANDROCUR |
