I have a really good friend, lately she has been hanging out with another girl who was very mean and rude to me. My friend's name is Claire. Claire used to be really good friends with me, she would want to do everything with me and we were BFFs. Over summer we would hang out a lot, but close to when school started, she started to ignore me and it was really awkward when we were together. I was so sad, I wanted my old friend back. Now, we are better friends but not as good as we were last year. I want to get our friendship back to the level it was before. But now she is always hanging out with the mean and rude girl Elizabeth. What should I do? I sent her a message that said in morse code: Things are different. But I do not know if It will help.

I got a call from my friend Alice who wanted to meet me for lunch. She had a problem she wanted my advice on. At lunch, she told me her son in law (her daughter's husband) wanted her to loan him some money. She had already made him 3 loans and he had not paid any of those 3 loans back. She wanted to know if she should make him a 4th loan. I told her this is a VERY TOUGH situation. She should probably consider the 3 pervious loans as gifts as the odds are VERY LOW they will be paid back. I told her I think the best approach would be to tell him that after he paid back the previous loans, she would consider making him a new loan. I told her to be prepared from a bad reaction from him and also possibly from her daughter. If there are grand children involved, be prepared to hear you will not see your grand children again. I told Alice to think very carefully what she wanted to do. I predict if she made another loan, there will be a request for a 5th loan in the future. I hope I gave her good advice. Do you think I did?

I have a married friend at work who would come and get me out of my office 5 or 6 times a day to smoke and talk. We would also talk in the morning and in the evening after work. She moved to a different section a while back where there is another smoker. She started smoking with him all the time and basically forgot about me even though my office is only about 20 feet from the break area. When I asked her why she didn't come by anymore she said she was just so busy she didn't have the time but would try and make time. She comes by once every day or two but still smokes 5 or 6 times a day. (I can hear them when they are outside) We have/had been friends for about 1 1/2 years and the new person she smokes with has been with us for about 5 months. Have I lost my friend? Am I only being placated because she maybe feels guilty? I really care about her as a person and don't want to lose her friendship but I also don't want to be "placated" Thoughts? Suggestions?

So I am starting a mom support group and I asked a professional to be a guest speaker but she said they could not but at the end she said , " I wish you the best with your new adventure!" What does that exactly mean I kind of don't get how starting a nonprofit support group is an adventure but I am just starting out so maybe it is I don't know. And should I take that as a good thing or is it bad ?

So i am very shy guy and unfortunately i have no social life. I am 23 years old going to be 24 and i have no friends. All i do is study for college and try to get get grade and play video games. A week ago, an account follow me on social media. I followed them back and have no idea who it is. She started posting pictures of her self harming and felt really bad about her. I told them that she can talk to me whenever she needs to and told her I cared and she's important. She just gave me an "okay" but today she claims that some kid punched her and started cutting even more. What do I do? I really want to help her, what can I do? I suffered from intense anxiety and panic disorder for around 4 years and turned to alcohol for around 2 years and a half where it lead to big difficulties health wise and had to stop last year ( I am turning 23) It's been one year without a drink and I feel much better however in terms of friends I have lost big connections. As it is known nowadays a lot of activities involve alcohol and especially with young individuals around my age who tend to everything with alcohol which is quite difficult as well for me. The fact that I always have to explain why I can't drink as no one is usually used to me not drinking any alcohol( I use excuses such as im taking antibiotics) however because of that I tend to avoid going out with friends who go to pubs constantly which are most of them and now I have lost quite a lot of friends since I ignore those outings. What would you do in my situation? It's a shame that the person not drinking has to justify himself. What excuses can I give without explaining any personal aspects and how to go out with someone who wants to drink and go to a pub, I don't want to lose anymore friends and end up being alone. Your advice is much appreciated!

This is gonna sound rude, but my friend Ashleigh isn't very smart. She's 16 and still hasn't figured out that Santa Claus isn't real. She has poor grammar and a very poor vocabulary. She was held back in first grade because she was having trouble reading, but I think she said it has something to do with her eyes. We were coloring together and I noticed that she was using pastel colors, so I said, "I see you like pastels" (or something like that). She didn't know what pastels were. She thought I meant the kind of pattern she was coloring (which was a mandala). She's home schooled and I'm concerned about the quality of the education she's receiving. (Most home schoolers get much better educations than Ashleigh's family. I suppose the fact that there are eight kids in the house may be making it harder for their parents to teach them well.) I told my grandma (who I live with) about my concerns, and she said that Ashleigh has learning disabilities. But my grandma isn't sure about that. How can I find out if my grandma is right without offending anyone? By the way, Ashleigh had messed up biological parents and her biological mother was drinking and doing drugs when she was pregnant with Ashleigh and all her other kids. Ashleigh and her brothers were adopted by their aunt and uncle.

My buddy who is an idiot is literally on his 2nd kid and is 17 years old. This moron and his idiot girlfriend are actually trying to have another one, they tell me all the time how they are purposely trying to get pregnant again. The thing is they can't even take care of the first 2. They pretty much ignore the babies and let their parents do all the work. The only time I ever saw either of them giving them attention is when taking selfies for social media. He first got her pregnant when he was 14, then again when he was 16. And now they are trying again? What is wrong with them? I know it's really not my business but I can't help but feel concerned.

usually people don't talk badly about me, or talk about me at all, but people have started. They make fun of the fact that I don't believe in evolution (and no, I don't push it on them, I just say that I don't believe in it, they ask why/for evidence, I give it to them, then they complain for me telling them even though they asked). I am a very religious person, I don't know what to do about these rumors. There's also rumors that I think the earth is flat. I just want these rumors to stop! help:(

i am an 19 y/o country/rock/blues singer at least up until a couple of weeks ago..i was doing a gig at a local bar & after i did my set, a very nice local gentleman asked if he could buy me a drink, as I was at the bar this girl came up to me & started to flirt with me, she came off really strong it i was kind of turned of, she seemed like a sweet girl but she was intoxicated, she started to hug & ask me to sing to her again, after a while she left, after i finished my drink i thanked the guy & then headed home, as i walked out this guy comes up & says that his "girl" said that i made out with her & that she was leaving him for me, a big fight ensued & the guy (a very heavy middle aged man, who was for sure about 20 y older than the girl) grabbed a broken bottle & stabbed me in my face & throat a couple of times! I have a torn vocal chord & my face is still swollen, i make youtube videos to get mysef lout there & I ca't do that anymore, I also have to work but i can't for know because my boss think i should heal first, I have kind of lost my voice completely & to make matters worse my gf broke up with my a couple of days ago, i really feel like giving up, it sucks but nothin seems to be going right! if you have read this so far bless you, i have no one i can really talk to & i felt like opening up to someone..

We're all 'underage' by the way: So the other day I was at my boyfriend's house and we'd had sex before his best friend Dono came over (walked in on us, laughed it off), and later were all chilling and watching a movie. Javier started kissing me, then getting really intimate. I REALLY didn't want to, and was uncomfortable. I DID say and Javi just wouldn't stop. I don't know if this was planned between them, but Dono continued 'recording' and pressuring me. He pulled off my shirt, and I was very reluctant the whole time, but could've been more forceful in physically getting him off but was scared...so (descriptive, sorry) Dono pulled of my shorts, moved my panties aside and fingered me. Once he was doing it, I was much less physically reluctant, but did NOT want a part of this and made it clear. At the same time, Javier was grabbing me and kissing me, and asking me to touch him, do stuff. I didn't, and ended up having a panic attack shortly after Dono actually went inside me. This was nothing like them, especially Javi. I'm just confused on what to do..I really don't want to lose Javier, or Dono for that matter. Javier usually a really caring, protective, faithful guy. This hurts like hell literally and metaphorically. I feel like if I take the step of reporting this as rape, it'll be easier for me to accept and leave both of them. I asked her if we could go get lunch today back on saturday, well in advance. She agreed, and the plan was made. Since it was a few days ago, I reminded her this morning asking if she was still up for it. But she said she couldn't explaining that she had a lot to do after school (it was a half-day). I was fine with that. We all have busy lives. But then later in the day she snapchats me a picture of her boyfriend. That's when I realized that she had basically ditched me. She had a lot of stuff to do BEFORE she went to see her boyfriend (who made plans with her after me), and when she realized that she had made plans with me too, she said she couldn't so she it wouldn't cut into her time with her boyfriend. Frankly, I'm irked by this. Am I freaking out over something small? Or do I have every right to worry as this problem can keep compounding???

I have a friend who is really nice and most people know her, but shes not preppy or anything AT ALL. Some one started a rumor she was dating one of our friends (I'll Cal James) this really nerdy kid. It made her mad and yeah sometimes people spread rumors about her and it really makes her mad naturally. But then she decided to tell everyone to ship James and a teacher *this teacher is really old and everyone hates her* but yeah so our group has a joke that James likes the teacher and at lunch were like hey James go make the move man!!! But we are obviously joking. What I'm saying is she gets mad about people spreading rumors about her but then she goes around and tells people rumors about people to get the attention off her. I tell her that's wrong but she's like no its not. Am I rite?

I dont understand why so many people are so rude. Im only in 8th grade and people criticize everything. If i have a pimple or something, theres always someone saying something about it behind my back, which is stupid because i cant do anything about it. If i say the wrong answer in class, theres always someone laughing. Its getting so annoying. Why are some people like this?

People just think that the person who is being annoying should stop it. But what if they don't realise that they're doing it and it is a pretty stupid reason to get annoyed by. Surely then it's the other person's fault, isn't it? They need to sort themselves out. I tried to explain that I think like this to my mum, she disagreed, and said it's the person who is annoying is always in the wrong. She probably said that because I always "annoy her" when I try not to. What do you think?

So I've had a friend since 5th grade and were in 11th now. I don't know why I've stuck around this long and I'm so sick of her. She is the biggest b*tch I have ever met. She's one of those people that just judges everyone. Someone's outfit, hair, makeup, face, etc. She even points out all of my flaws. She's done this since we first met. She thinks she's the prettiest girl ever and thinks she's better than everyone. She is very snippy and just insults anyone who doesn't look like her.Today was my breaking point. My friend walked by and said hey to me. When he left, she turned to me and said "you're friends with that ugly mf?" I was so shocked. She didn't even know him! She said he was the ugliest guy she has ever seen. The only "ugly" thing I can see is his acne. Which he has told me he's super self conscious about. I called her out and told her not to insult my friend like that. She just said whatever and I'm done. I'm thinking about just ignoring every text/ call from her during summer. What would you do?
