We had an argument about a week ago over a joke that I made that he didn't like and he has been distant ever since. I was surprised he got upset because we joke all of the time and I didn't think it would be a huge deal but I immediately apologized profusely. I know he has been stressed and under a lot of pressure lately with work and studying for the LSAT, not to mention his father is currently dying and he feels like he has to be successful with getting into law school to at least accomplish that before he passes. I get it...he has a lot going on. But, I feel he used that situation to place distance between us because of issues he's having within himself about his situation. He has ignored me for DAYS and has been distant, short and downright cold by ignoring me when I've told him how it makes me feel. I have had my own stressful things going on and I feel he hasn't been there or even cares because he's completely focused on himself. He apologized and acted like he was ready to talk but then turned distant again. I'm just really tired of it at this point. I know I don't deserve this, and his only saving grace has been I know this isn't how he normally is and think the pressure and stress is bringing out the monster in him. But in the same token, he's hurting me in the process. I can't get him to talk to me. I'm lost. What should I do? Should I suggest taking a break or just end it? |

She called me a puppy dog one time because the fact that im always with her and i follow her like a puppy. I always email her and bring her gifts. I talked to her before lunch started when everybody left. She asked about my lunch and I told her that my mom brought it from a takeout she went to last night. And she said, "see you're mom isn't that bad" then I shrugged. Then she said that's the only mom I'll get. Because she knows I complain about her being really mean and not being there [which she isn't]. I just felt like when she said that she meant that she doesn't want to be there for me as a mom. I call her mom regularly. Update: I'm 16 yr old boy and she is 37 and has son that is 10. She told our class before. |

Several family members were talking about other relatives issues divorce,etc. My mother stated to me "hey dont put a comment about this of FB". In the past my mother and I have had some disagreements on FB, towards each other, but we have since resolved those. We kept talking about several topics and we came back home. Once home my husband and I were having a heated discussion about marriage/issues etc. I stated to him, "why dont you tell me one thing that bothers you about me and I will work on fixing that, im not perfect im open to being a better wife". Husband stated, remember when your mother told you to keep something off FB, well that's what I want, just like your mom told you. I want you to stay focused on being positive in our marriage and for you to stay on point. I stated my mom and I have always had a difficult relationship, my relationship with her or the comment, towards me had nothing to do with as husband and wife. He stated, that is an example, your mom knows who you are, I want what she said to be an example in our marriage and that is how I want you to behave. I dont think one thing has anything to do with another at all, I just agreed and he went to take his usual nap. This has been an issue in our marriage, he uses my parents, ex relationships to make a point relevant to him I feel like its a cheap shot, but if i argue he just twists and manipulates so I just agree. Yes, I'm a teenager, and my hormones are really crazy right now. I've NEVER thought about my blood brother in this kind of way ever! Until a few weeks ago when I had this dream.. Not going into details. When I woke up I was SO disgusted with myself. But then I did, deep down, sort of like it. Yeah Ik, gross. He goes out with his friend like almost every day and he's never really been there for me as a brotherly figuar. He comes off as very mysterious which I think draws me to him quite a bit. People say we do look a lot alike and science has proven that people tend to be subconsciously attracted to people the either look like you or your parents, so don't argue on that one, anyway, I know I sound like a sorry excuse as a person but please do not hate on me, I really hope somebody out there understands and can help me out because I can't stop thinking about this! I was adopted while they were estranged. I recently found her and I was so excited. Unfortunately, I was let down because she doesn't give me much info. She said I had a half brother and that he killed himself when he was 18. I want to see a pic of him, learn about him. My grandmother is still alive and she doesn't want to tell her about me! She says shes old and doesn't want to stress her out. I feel that she is playing God and its not fair to anyone in the situation. I don't know what to do. I am distraught. I almost wish I never even found her because now I feel helpless. I understand its probably overwhelming for her but I cant help but feel shes being a little selfish. I wrote a mini autobiography and sent it to her in hopes she would feel a little more at ease and maybe read it to my grandmother. I don't know what to do at this point and starting to feel resentful. Any kind words of advice would be great. |

His family does not like me and I do not go around them at all his mother also has pretty much all say so over his daughter the mother and his self allow this because she does everything for the child she has money where they don't! Now they have the daughter where she won't come around him because he is with me they all want us apart! The ex use to have him and her new man to her self and now because he is about me and not up her tail she hates me! So my point is I feel selfish and I feel like I should fix it all by leaving him so he can have his family and child back they all were very close before we got together but I do love him! My question is should I just move on so everyone will go back to normal with him am I wrong for staying with him even tho it is making his child and family stay away? We do live together and we did move really fast can't change that now! |

I finally realize that she gets the pleasure from making other people feel like crap and upset about themselves, guilting them into thinking that they did something wrong regardless of the situation. I also play varsity football. Every summer break, from the first day to the last I have football pre-season going on. June/July is usually just workouts but August is when the real practices start. But, my parents and a large group of our family friends have been planning a week long cruise at the end of Aug. If I went, I will miss 7 practices which is way too much. Even if they don't cut me, I probably won't see any playing time during the actual season. Going on a vacation during June/July would be easier for me but this has already been planned without my say (mostly planned by the other families). I know that my mom especially really wants to go on this cruise since its with her good friends and I don't want to disappoint her, but football is also really important to me. I talked with my parents and they said it is okay if we don't go but I know that they will still be disappointed because the entire group has been wanting this for a long time. I already contemplated staying at a friends house or staying home alone but it won't work for some reason or the other. I really need help with this. Thank You. I should mention that although I am old enough to stay home alone, there have been many burglaries in my neighborhood recently so naturally my parents are uncomfortable with this idea. And I don't plan on doing football in Uni or anything but its more than just a hobby to me. |

I'm an RN so I work long hours, and am not home all the time. It's usually just my dog and I; husband is deployed at the moment. While I'm at work my mom drops by my place to get my dog because she has a huge backyard that he loves to play and romp around in. My mom told me she got to my apartment to pick him up, and my neighbor was standing outside and asked if she was a friend of mine, and my mom told her that she was my mom etc. My neighbor then told my mom that she thinks something fell last night cause her ceiling shook. My mom got pretty annoyed with the prying questions and told my neighbor that she should call the landlord. She then told my mom she called my phone at 10 that night and some guy answered my phone. I'm in bed by 9, and my husband is deployed so there's no way some guy answered my phone. My mom asked her what number she had on me, she said she couldn't remember. My mom told her to mind her own business. I have absolutely no idea what my neighbor's deal is, but that's pretty weird right? This also isn't the first time she's accused me of things, she constantly calls the landlord saying my dog howls for hours but little does she know, my mom picks my dog up while I'm at work. Any idea on how to handle the situation? I've never complained about her to my landlord, just kept my mouth shut and went about my way but there's only so much pot stirring I can take! Any suggestions? |
