Question: Can you plan a wedding in 5 months? Posted: 06 Apr 2016 04:21 AM PDT I'm getting married around November. But haven't REALLY started planning. I've heard a lot of people do 5-6 month engagements. Did you/are you? Any tips? |
Question: Why doesn't my fiance act like he wants to plan our wedding? he says he wants to.? Posted: 06 Apr 2016 04:16 AM PDT Hi, I have been with my fiance since Feb 2011 and we finally got our wedding date to be in Sept 2013 but now it seems like he doesn't want to talk about any planning when I mention it. He says were always so busy and that it's overwhelming right now to plan. I want him to understand that it is important to me and I feel like it isn't very important to him. He says he doesnt want me to do it all by myself, but he never wants to talk about it. I don't know what to do. Or make him understand that just because we have 9 months doesnt mean that we can keep putting the planning off because we are "too busy" he says. We havent even done our engagement pictures yet. I told him that wedding stuff is just one of those things we have to make time for because it is important to us, but then he goes on again about us being busy all the time which we really aren't though because when we spend time together we play games and we could include some planning in there but somehow the subject always changes. |
Question: What to expect from a wedding? Posted: 06 Apr 2016 02:30 AM PDT So, I've never attended a wedding and just received my first wedding invitation. Other than responding to the RSVP card, what else should I need to do? The RSVP card says "Number of guests" so I assume that includes myself? What should I expect at the ceremony and reception? What if I go alone? Is it common for people to attend weddings as a single guest? I don't see a dress code? Should I ask? Should I also ask about wedding registry? About how much is the average gift? Are there any other things that might be expected from me as a guest? If there is anything anyone could think of as tips or helpful guidance, they're definitely much appreciated! Thanks! |

Question: Who exactly should we ask to serve wedding cake and punch at our wedding reception? Posted: 06 Apr 2016 01:49 AM PDT My future mother-in-law says it would be "an honor" for my sister and my fiance's sisters to serve the cake and punch at our wedding reception - I think that would be kind of tacky considering we will be having family pictures taken immediately following the ceremony before the reception and other members of family or close friends should do this - what or whom is the appropriate person to ask to do this at the reception? |
