Recently we have been and its mostly bc I feel like he doesn't respect my advice. This started a month ago with the same pattern and I did try talking to him about it but he denies it and gets frustrated and it escalates so I don't bother pushing it bc Im pregnant but some examples are I told him not to smoke after the baby is born for a bit only cus its a newborn and that the smell should not be around the baby. But he was arguing with me and tryna make excuses to smoke saying he'll shower, wash his hands, take a walk etc but I told him no it don't matter. He continued to argue with me until his sister told him not too and he said she was right and he wont. But he fought with me? I also told him about a job working as security and he said no that he wasn't interested. Then his friend told him about a security job a few weeks later and now he's interested in it. Another thing was I told him about how my OB brought up parenting classes and asked if that was something wed be interested in. He told me we should't do it. But his old worker brought up parenting classes and he came back to me telling me we should do it after I already suggested it. I also reminded him Im signing up for food stamps and he just said okay. Couple days later he sees his mom and tells me we should sign up for food stamps cause his mom suggested it, after I already told him I was in the process of doing it. Why does he listens to others but not me? |
