Question: Why does he think I won't like the ring? Posted: 08 Apr 2020 04:30 PM PDT We were talking about wedding rings and I expressed to my BF that I want a diamond ring. He said he would rather get me a gold ring because "lasts longer" and that "why would you want a ring that you won't like in the future and will become useful after some months"? Is it true that gold rings are better? |
Question: Apps for teens making friends nearby? Posted: 08 Apr 2020 04:07 PM PDT Just a disclaimer I know it's not safe. But I'm a 16 year old online student (since before quarantine) and I need to make friends somehow. Now a days this is the only way to meet people especially if you can't drive. |
Question: How would I know about it unless you brought it up? Posted: 08 Apr 2020 04:07 PM PDT I have a female friend of mine who I text with from time to time. She's lesbian and has a girlfriend. We chat a few times a week. The other day we were chatting and out of the blue she brings up that she was sexually assaulted some time ago. I had no idea nor did I just bring it up. "so, hey, have you ever been sexually assaulted?" When I asked her about it she then turns on me to say, "I really don't want to talk about that. A few days later we're chatting and she's mad because she said her gf had another girl at her place a few nights ago and she was mad. Again, not a question I asked. "Has your gf ever cheated on you?" Today I asked how her and her gf were doing and she told me again, "I don't want to talk about it." Why is it that she brings up things like this but then when I ask her about it gets on the defense? How should I handle this again if she brings up something else.? Just over look it like I heard nothing or tell her that if you don't want me to mention anything about anything you say then don't bring anything up. |
Posted: 08 Apr 2020 01:58 PM PDT It never used to be this way. Now people will sit there staring at their phone with the engine running - sometimes for an hour or more (at lunch etc). It doesn't matter how nice it is outside. They don't even roll their windows down anymore. I have asked people why in the past and they say that they don't want to run the battery down. But just charging the phone and using the stereo would take like 12 hours to make any difference.Does no one care about polluting, wasting gas, making noise, fumes, etc Anymore? |
Question: How is she exactly? ? Posted: 08 Apr 2020 12:33 PM PDT How is Elliot from scrubs socially awkward? |
Question: How to deal with an abusive friend? Posted: 08 Apr 2020 04:40 AM PDT I don't know what happened to my old best friend, he did not behave this way since I've met him for the first time in High School. We have been friends for over 11 years, now no longer hang out as often because both of us have graduated from High School long ago already. Back in 11 years ago, he was a kind person, funny and generous friend. Now that he has been behaving really abusively, even yells at his own biological mom and uses verbally abusive language towards me due to his anger issues. His mom and I have both addressed his behavior before, he then apologized and promised that he will change, but it has been months ago and I still have not seen any change at all. I understand that he has been suffering severe head pain, but it is still no excuse for him to be abusive towards and towards his mom just like that. When he I needed me, I was there for him to support him in times of pain and suffering, I bought him birthday gifts, I invited him to come to fun events, even his mom also planned fun events for the 2 of us and I even bought a movie for him that he loves the most be the wanted the movie and I bought with my own money that I have worked really hard for. Now even in when times that I need him for support in dealing severe depression, he yells, using abusive language. He even wanted to hit his own mom as well. His mom even apologized to me for her son's unexcused behavior as she understood that I was really upset. Even his dad was also really abusive. His dad was a wife beater, made threats against my friend's mom. My friend's dad was verbally, mentally and physically abusive and often used curse words right in front of him. This man was drunk and physically abusive. Suddenly, someone called the Police and the man escaped to another country, knowing that the cops were coming to arrest him. |
Posted: 08 Apr 2020 02:08 AM PDT Maggie is a staunch supporter of Trump. She disagrees with Trump on some issues, but she considers him to be the best President we've had in our lifetime. We're both in our late 20s. I should add that Maggie is Polish and believes that Poland is the "ideal" of what a country should be because it is homogenous. It has a mostly white population. Maggie hates black women, but apparently doesn't care that I'm black. She seems to pick and choose which black people she likes which is why I won't go as far as to say that she's racist. As it is, Maggie only has me and this other guy as her only black friends that I know of anyway. I hang out with her friends, who are conservatives or independent, and she sometimes hangs out with mine. Although many of my friends don't like her very much. She doesn't like them either. It's just weird to me. lol. I've considered ending our friendship strictly on the basis that she dislikes black women. |
Question: Is it weird to go to concerts with parents? Posted: 08 Apr 2020 01:17 AM PDT I am planning on going to a Melanie Martinez Concert and i had to bring someone and so the only option I had was my mom. I am 15 years old and she isn't very comfortable with swearing , so is this a bad idea?? |
Question: Why won't my friend talk to me? Posted: 07 Apr 2020 11:40 PM PDT His cat passed away and I told him "i am so sorry lol" and "lol" means lots of love, what gives? I was just trying to be nice and now he is refusing to talk to me |
Question: I have no friends. Can you be my friend? Posted: 07 Apr 2020 11:26 PM PDT |
Question: Should I tell him I forgive him? Posted: 07 Apr 2020 11:11 PM PDT I had a friend I lost my temper with who flirted with me to make our mutual friend jealous and invited our friends out without me and acted nice to my face. Should I in about a week or two, tell him I forgive him, while not allowing myself to be used as 'a friend' again? Or should I not bother? We have mutual close friends. |
Question: Who can I ask to be a cosigner for an apartment besides a close friend? Posted: 07 Apr 2020 09:52 PM PDT I don't really have any close friends, or people I consider friends, besides those who are merely acquaintances. The only person I consider a friend who would say yes, and who I would be comfortable asking, to be a co-signer, lives on the other side of the country. I have a younger sister whose income is far greater than mine, but we are not close, rather also in very bad terms. I can't ask my parents either, and I am not open to asking relatives. |
Question: How do I get through my friend moving? Posted: 07 Apr 2020 09:50 PM PDT My best friend moved in 6th grade. It took me two years to get over it. He ghosted me and I just recently got the closure I needed. Now guess what? The universe is saying oh, you thought you had a break? Yeah, my new best friend's moving. I actually like him more than just a friend so that sucks but you know. It's life. So because of quarantine, I might not get to spend much time with him before he goes. I heard about it through our schools website saying that his mom (the elementary part of the schools head I believe ) was moving to a different job over 3 hours away by car. He told me he didn't know the email was going out, but it still sucked. With my other friend, I had time to spend w him. With this guy, I'm not even sure we'll have summer. Any advice on how to get through it? I'm nervous because I don't know if he'll ghost me like my previous friend or act like he is right now. |
Question: How do I tell my close internet friend my real name? Posted: 07 Apr 2020 08:49 PM PDT One of my closest friends doesn't know my real name. I trust her and know that she's not some kind of 40 y/o man, but the thing is, I've been using a fake name with her for a long time. It started out when we weren't very close and I didn't really know who she was, but now we've known each other for a long time and I feel terrible about lying to her. I've been putting off telling her because I'm afraid of how she'll react. How should I tell her? |
Question: Who the hell is “Actual Llewen”? Posted: 07 Apr 2020 08:22 PM PDT The one who brags about getting thrown outta the military for being gay. Why is he or she (idek what "it" is) on every question? |
Question: Can i ask one friend to read a song about another friend or is it wrong/rude? Posted: 07 Apr 2020 08:17 PM PDT I wrote a short song for my best friend but i want someone else to read it first to make sure i am not just bias. the thing is i only trust one other person to be honest with me and who wont laugh. But she is also my good friend. These friends have never met but the song is generic. Would it be rude or wrong for me to ask my other friend to look at it first even though I did not write it for her? i dont want to hurt everyone i am in a very vulnerable position right now. please help if you can. i know ultimately it is up to me but i wanted to ask for feedback from you too. thanks everyone who actually takes this seriously. -Rose |
