Question: How to heal a waning friendship? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 05:33 PM PDT I used to be really close with this girl i do gymnastics with and have a lot of classes with. However, I get annoyed with her for no reason. This may just be hormones. To my knowledge I do not act rude or anything to her despite this. She is very similar to another one of my friends, so I am not sure why it is only her that I get frustrated with. Our views on things like politics are typically opposite but I don't know if that is affecting it. We both have very high grades and are high acheiving students. She is 11 months younger than me but still in the same grade. I know she really wants to stay as best friends and so do I. We have talked about this and she has felt the same but for a shorter time period than me. Can anybody help me figure out the source of my random annoyed feeling and how to stop it? Thank you so much. |
Question: How do I help my two bestfriends who don't get along? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 05:03 PM PDT My friends Rebecca and Kallie met in kindergarten and are very close. I met them in 6th grade, now we are in 8th grade. I am close to both of them but Kallie gets very upset with Rebecca all the time. In texting, she uses all caps very angrily anytime Rebecca says like anything. Even though she starts fights and complains about Rebecca, Kallie also gets very jealous when Rebecca gets close with other people. Rebecca is sort of insensitive sometimes, but it is very obviously never on purpose. If anybody can help me to help this stop happening, I would be very grateful. They have tried talking about it and I have talked to both of them about it, but it has not stopped. What should I do? When I say I talked to them about it, I mean they have come to me individually and asked me what I think they should do. |
Question: My friend left a group chat of our close friends, how do I fix things with her? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 04:04 PM PDT I had made something and I wanted to show everybody on group facetime, so I made a group chat to do so. Friend A is like "let's summon the others" and says their three names in individual texts. Friend B gets mad at her and says in all caps "MY GOD FRIEND B STOP TEXTING MORE WONT MAKE THEM ANSWER IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT THE TEXT SAYS", so we come to Friend A's aid in ways that are not nearly as aggressive as Friend B's approach. I say "she barely even texted" and Friend C says "yah it will" Friend A says "but if their phones are on vibrate" Friend B leaves the chat. It has been about 5 hours since this happened and she hasn't texted me (I haven't asked tho bc she was mad and i didnt know if she needed space or wtv) How do I fix things with her or approach the situation? |

Posted: 03 Apr 2020 03:40 PM PDT I don't want to die, but I only hurt the people around me. I want to live, but I see now that continuing to live is selfish of me, as people only feel pain and I can never seem to help. |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 03:31 PM PDT I have had a good friend for several years. She is unfortunately uneducated, she has about a 9th grade education but she is in her 30's. She thinks COVID-19 is fake, and a government conspiracy. I tried to tell her she is really wrong, and she now isn't talking to me. I tried to be careful and respectful in confronting her about it, but she won't talk to me now. Should I just leave her alone and if she reaches out great but not push her? She has a husband and two small children. I would hate for her beliefs to endanger her family or kids |
Question: My boss is a horrible liar!! Any advice? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 03:11 PM PDT If it weren't for the Covid 19 Virus, I would have quit today! I know a job is hard to find during this time. Anyway, my boss constantly lies to me about everything! He asked me to give this lady an insurance quote on 2 different properties she "has" but when I called the lady to give her the quotes, she said that she never told him that. The lady says she doesn't even own any property yet and that she is about to build one in about 1 year and had some questions on something completely different. I hate this so much because his lies are making me look stupid to our customers! Oh, and yes, he would get super offended if I ever asked him to stop lying so much! Any advice on how to deal with this horribly crazy fkn liar? I mean what's the point of this anyway? We look crazy to our customers because they think we don't communicate well or that I'm lying or something! Uggggh! |
Question: What do I do if my friend and co worker is a hardcore liberal who loves CNN? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 02:16 PM PDT What do I do if my friend and co worker is a hardcore liberal who loves CNN? What kind of conversations should I have, and what topics should I steer clear on? What if he's really self assured about everything he says? |
Question: Why are people uncomfortable around me? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 11:16 AM PDT I'm a female and i always notice everyone doesn't want to be left alone with me. I'm kind of quiet but I still try to talk to people. People have no problem being left alone with my other friends. So what am I doing wrong? I definitely don't smell, I try to present myself as best as I can. I would say I'm a bit tomboyish but I don't think that's a problem. Mostly boys are the most uncomfortable around me which I don't understand. I notice they get tense around me and almost as if they are scared. I'm 5"4 and I don't know why they would be scared? Help? |

He's cool and funny but he makes fun of me and I do it to him. One day I was mad and I said your mom sees my dick at night bc I was angry. Was this over the line?? He leaves me on delivered and I don't think he wants to talk. He makes fun of me tho he called my forehead a stadium. |
Question: How do I repay my coworker for his kind deed? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 09:39 AM PDT I unexpectedly had to work late which was a problem for me. My 15 year old daughter needed a ride home from school. I asked a co worker and friend Bob if he could take her home form school and he agreed. She had met Bob previously. He picked her up from school and was driving her home. He asked her if she had any food for dinner at home and she said no. He ask her if she would like to join him for dinner and she immediately said yes. She thought they might go to Sizzler. He took her to Ruth Chris. She told me it was the best meal she ever had in her life. She was so excited about the great meal she called me at work and told me about it. The next day at work I thanked Bob for driving my daughter home from school and especially for the great dinner they had. My daughter said beside the great meal Bob was a lot of fun to be with. I told Bob I would pay him for my daughter's meal. He said "No Way" would he take any money. He said I was happy to be able to help you. Would it be appropriate for me and my daughter to take Bob out for a meal? The problem we can not afford anything near as expensive as Ruth Chris. |

Posted: 03 Apr 2020 07:32 AM PDT Hi, I feel silly asking this but appreciate your help. I'm female, now 24, and will be 25 very soon. Years ago, I abruptly stopped talking to many of my friends from middle and high school. It was unintentional. I was dealing with mental and physical health battles, so I took the time to focus on myself and healing. I didn't explain this to anyone, never had a chance. Maintaining friendships was not something I was able to do, then. Now that I'm healthy, I feel bad about how I went about things. I miss a lot of my classmates and missed them over the years. I don't have many friends now. I recently made an Instagram account and many of my old friends showed up on suggested. I saw that many of them are still connected to each other. I feel like the odd one, since I disappeared for so long. I followed many and only a couple followed back or accepted my follow request. I feel strange just now reconnecting but at the same time would like to get to know everyone again. I get the "Why now?" vibe, and that they don't really care what's going on in my life right now. Should I attempt to make conversation, or just unfollow, accept them as a loss and move on? Am I overthinking things? I saw the profile for my 8th grade boyfriend but didn't request to connect, because I'm afraid of the outcome! We had to break up due to different schools. I know people change over the years, but it'd be cool to see what he's up to. Even if he's not interested, he was very special to me. I need advice! |
Question: Should I say Happy Birthday? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 03:36 AM PDT My friend and I am having a fight where he was at fault. I backed off for a while until things simmer down. Our birthdays are close, mine was a few days ago and he didnt speak to me. Friends in our circle put what's going on aside to tell me happy birthday, something I didn't expect of them. It made me think better of our friendships because of it. His birthday is close to mine. Should I even put in the effort? He didn't. Thanks and respect |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 03:09 AM PDT were not my friends? I was thinking of making an anonymous call from someone else pretending to give them a gift or pay for those notes? I am super worried as I do need them for my current job. |
Question: I don't want my friend to touch my phone? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 02:36 AM PDT I got a new iphone and it is expensive and my friend always used to use my other crap one. My friend stinks and never showers and his hands are probably dirty. Do I have to avoid for ever? I'm a bit of a crazy when it comes to hygiene. I threw out a ps4 controller because he touched it. But I don't want to ruin my phone. What can I do? |

Question: I think my neighbor is lying about her age. Should I confront her? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 10:31 PM PDT My new neighbor says she's 28, but has a 13 year old daughter. Not possible, should I confront her? |
Question: Are They Trying To Be Friends With Me Again? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 09:40 PM PDT I talked to a friend of the group I've been friends with. They told me it's important to get along and to be there for each other. I had written the group recently that I never hear from anyone anymore. I think they told them cuz they said to me you're not talking to them anymore-like a half question. They told me they talked to at least one of them recently. Then he brought up the idea of wanting me to work for him. Do you think the group was talking in his ear and wants me back in the fold? Or it was just him who wants to be friends with me? I'm not sure if they're behind what he told me of if it was just him who wants to still be friends with me. |
Question: How do i nicely tell me friend to STOP GIVING ME THINGS? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:35 PM PDT I grew up in a hoarder house so any space thats too cluttered or has too many knick nacks gives me serious anxiety. So every year when gift giving occasions come round i dread the practice knowing im gonna recive some item that i do not want but will be socially required to keep in order to show that i treasure my relationship with the giver. I am somewhat of a minimalist. I dont belive in keeping anything that dose not bring me joy and in that respect my living space is deeply personal to me. My friend paints dolls and make other art. I love him and wanna support his passions but he keeps wanting to give me work that i very much so do not want to own in my home. as much as i love my friends i hate their gifts. How do i nicely get them to STOP GIVING ME JUNK |
Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:43 PM PDT For about a year now, I've been lending a coworker (who is a good friend) money. He says he's behind in his bills, he cannot get enough hours at work, plus he's not needed at the moment at his 2nd job. He's also a union steward and he's saved my job twice which is why I feel obligated to give him money when he asks. For about a year, I've gave him $100 here, $100 there, $50 here, $40 there and he's never paid me back. I feel if I stop giving him money, he won't help me the next time I'm in a jam at work. I'm in a tough situation. He asks me for money every other week. What should I do? |
Question: How do you let go of the past? ? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 06:59 PM PDT How do I emotionally detach myself from a friendship that ended. It was an ugly end to our friendship. She was my best friend and a sister to me. Every time a memory pops up, I just want to cry. I need to let go, it hurts to much to keep thinking of the past. Thank you |
