Question: How to tell a friend you don t like him back? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 05:22 PM PST I am a teen girl and one of my best friends, a boy, is going through a really tough time. He has low self esteem and is going through a period of depression right now that I and another friend, female, have been helping him through. I am also in a school suicide prevention group so I ve learned a lot about the signs and am really concerned about him. My other female friend and I have been wanting to talk to one of our teachers about him but the teacher we want to speak with about him has been absent these last few days. My depressed friend and I have grown much closer since I ve been helping him through this, although that is the only good that has come from it. However, just today over text, he admitted that he has feelings for me, and then abruptly left. I am terrible at identifying my own feelings, but I dont think I have feelings for him that way, I just see him as a really good friend. When he said he had to go and just left, I asked him to please text me back when he could, but I don t know what to say when he does. He is going through such a difficult time that I don t know how to tell him this, and (I don t mean this in a hurtful way at all) I m also afraid that perhaps he is not quite thinking straight with all that has happened in the last couple days, the details of which I will not go into. I love him as a friend as much as one can, but not romantically... I m sorry this is so long. Can someone please help me? I appreciate any advice at all. Thank you so much. |

Question: My best friend talked bad about me, should I cut her out of my life or forgive? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 04:36 PM PST Im in marching band and we recently got 8th place in a competition and i told my best friend that goes to another school, which got 3rd place. (Shes not in band) I have her account and can go through her messages so I went through her ones with her band friend because i felt she said something. Her friend was sad about getting 3rd because he wanted 1st I guess, and she comforted him by teing him how my band sucked and doesnt work hard. This made me mad but also sad because band means a lot to me and she just talked bad about it as if it were nothing. So i told my band friends and now they hate her. I told her off and blocked her, but its been a few weeks and idk if I should try to be friends again because she was a really good friend but there was that one time she talked bad. |
Posted: 07 Nov 2018 04:05 PM PST I want to be friends with benefits with this guy but I think I messed up. What should I do about it? I met this guy at a store where he works my mom and I would talk to him in line. While we checked out he worked as the cashier. After a while we exchanged numbers. He called me asking me to hangout with him he asked me twice. But I didn't hangout with him. Instead I asked him if he wanted to be friends with benefits. He said he was interested and that he had always been into me. But that he's been busy with work. I got upset with him below is a message between us. I'm the one talking in the blue he's the white. I know I went to far. But I was telling him how I feel in general in regards to people. He's the one replying saying that he will talk to be later. I don't want to be in a romantic relationship with him I just want him as a close friend that's it. |

Question: Im was bullied and I’m still scared? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 02:54 PM PST Hey so I had recently put up a detailed story of how I was bullied at school I told my parents about it and they solved the problem and I'm in a different class. I live in India where we are all allotted classes from a to g and we sit in that class for 7 hours I am away from the boy who bullied me and we have mutual friends and like I'm just scared that those friends will think that I'm weak because I didn't stand up for myself but just took the easy way out and changed my class I'm still nervous and scared to go to school. I've just always loved going to school and I'm just sad that it scares me now rather than exciting me. I know I'm making this a very big deal and stretching the matter too far. I guess I create problems for myself. |
Question: I need help on what to do? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 02:45 PM PST What should I do I have always been very nice to my friend I would buy and share stuff and out of all my friends I was always nicest to him and today he put on his Instagram rate how much you think I like you and I put mine low just to save from embarrassment because I don't want to be confident and he put my rating much higher but said that I have recently been a dick head which really made me confused because I have always been the nicest should I respond? Cause an argument? |

Question: Roommate threw away my food? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 01:35 PM PST On Friday, I bought my roommate and I pasta and breadsticks from Pizza Hut, and so we each got a bowl of pasta and 5 bread sticks. So I paid for the entire thing, plus a tip, totaling $40.79, and my roommate paid me back $20.00. Hoeever, I had forgotten that I still had two breadsticks left in our fridge (we share a college dorm with 4 other people) and my roommate gave our other roommate to throw them away. I know this might sound petty, because it was just two breadsticks, however, she shouldn't have thrown away my food because one, the breadsticks were still good, and two, she could've asked me to take (eat) them out of the fridge, and three, I basically paid for the food. So, should I talk to her about this? |
Question: What do you think I should do in this situation? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 01:32 PM PST I've had this online friend for five years. We've met in real life and everything. They sent me a text almost a week ago and I replied to them shortly after. I still haven't heard back from them and I've seen them on social media this entire time. This has happened before although never for this long. Do you think I should send them one more text and what should I even say? I don't want to sound rude or blame them for anything. Or do you think I should just move on and if they text me eventually, I decide to either ignore or respond? We used to be in a routine of texting every couple days so I find it weird that they would forget. Who knows though honestly |
Question: Losing a friend after working together? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 01:25 PM PST Recently a friend of my of 10 years started working together. She had been unemployed for almost a year and there was an opening in my departement. I referred her and she got the job. However, 3 months in, she resigns on the grounds that the work environment itself was toxic and also that I was disrespectful and demotivating to her which ultimately has ruined our friendship. I admit I was tough on her, which was the method of training I received and it worked very well for me and made me a model employee today. During this time, she made no effort to speak to me about her thoughts on the matter. It's been a month since she's submitted her resignation and 2 weeks since she's left the job. She's has only made an attempt to speak to me on the matter after I invited her for lunch. She said she can't face me and our friendship is over. Honestly, I'm in a state of confusion as she's mistreated me and neglected me many times for her friends. On those situations, I never acted this way with her but kept my patience and calm. I honestly regret helping her to get this job because it has costed me a lifelong friendship but at the same time makes me wonder if we even had a friendship at all? As a 25 year old, I never thought I'd still be dealing with friendship issues. Is it normal to be losing friendships and relationships at this age? |
Question: When Is the Best Time to Send a Complaint Letter to your Roommate? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 01:05 PM PST I have problems with confrontation so I wrote my roommate a email of grievances in a very professional manner. (We're not exactly friends.) We're 18, first yr staying in a uni dorm, and we share one room, 20'x10'. I think it'd be weird to send her an email when we're right across from each other, but I'm not good at speaking face to face so I prefer to email her my issues. I'm excellent at writing and feel it would effectively communicate the problems, I just feel that when I send it is important also. Should I send it early the next morning/when I know she's gone to class or just say f*ck it, and send it even if she's sitting 3 feet away from me? |
Question: Bully made me drink pee and I feel hut what should i do? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 01:01 PM PST Bully challenged me in a game of fifa and if I lost he has to make me drink something and he said it was pee. It was 3 years ago |
Question: My classmate dislikes me for no reason. Why ? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 12:39 PM PST I'm 15.I switched schools recently. There's this one guy who seems to really dislike me. I've never done anything bad to him. I ocasionally talk to him and even help him out a little, joke... He sometimes makes fun of my looks to the point where one girl actually starts defending me(which is a bad sign, I know...) I ignore this, pretend that I don't hear anything. When I was in the same team with him during PE, he loudly said that we're ****** because I was in the team. He has said many similar things to this. And I'm not even that bad in sports. I'm not good, but I definetly don't suck or am near that level. Once, when he found out that I had done something amazing in relation to sports, he started saying that he could have easily done it himself and it's nothing special/hard, while others next to him were amazed that I was able to do that. Very often he's passive-aggressive. There were a lot of situations like this, but they happen occasionally, not everyday. In my previous school there was a nearly indentical guy. He reeeally disliked me and did EXACTLY the same stuff. He was passive-aggressive, commented on my looks, abilities, told me I was stupid(while himself being a moron). He treated me exactly as this guy currently does, occasionally aswell. Sometimes we get along really well. I don't really have a grudge against him, since I don't care about what he says. So was with the guy from my previous school. I could tell that the guy from my previous school was jealous of me for some reason(because of my grades that were way better than his) He kept saying that I was dumb and accused me of cheating all the time. That's probably why he disliked me.. But it's a little harder with this guy, since he is a way smarter version of him, but I still perform way better in school than him. So I don't really know if jealousy is the main factor... And he's not really a loser, but has quite some faults. |
Posted: 07 Nov 2018 11:33 AM PST I don't like hanging out with co workers outside of work. Yes I've done it before and it was kinda boring. It would be me and 2 other guys drinking together. He does have a bar in his basement and a pool table. I'm more of a guy that likes to go to bars to drink. I either go to the bar to drink or if I drink at home I'm on this chat program drinking. It's pretty cool because you can see other people on cam and there is so many people in the rooms. There all doing the same thing. Some of them aren't drinking and some are but I just find it fun. I can talk on mic to them or play music in the rooms. It's better then drinking with 2 other guys. I know people have made friends from work but it's something personal that I don't do. I don't even have many friends at all. I just try to have a few and that's it. What would you do if you got invited to a co workers place to drink? |

Question: What to when crying everyday cause of homesickness? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 09:45 AM PST Hey, in August i moved about 6hrs from home to study for civilengineer. The first month was pretty good and a lot of things were happening. Now the courses are demanding more and more time, and i recently visited my hometown and saw all my friends and family. I came back to my appartment and realized how lonely my life was. I have made some friends here in my new town but we only see each other in school. My friends from my hometown were the best and we were hanging out everyday. On top of that, the studying itself is pretty time demanding and my life feels so monotone. Go to school and attend lectures, come home and study make dinner and then sleep. I am walking around with this pain inside of my chest cause I'm so unhappy with life. What should I do? I know just bailing on school and move back home isn't really an option. I've committed to this and have to complete it. But it's so hard to focus on all my hard studies with this feeling in my chest that makes me so sad. I cry when i come home everyday. |

Question: Should I hang out with them or not? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 08:57 AM PST You live with your roommates. Your friends are also the friend of your roommate. You are an introvert and he is extrovert. So you love your friends, but you just communicate with them little less than your extrovert friend. Now, when your friends (his too) hang out if every time they call your extrovert friend or message them should you go with him or not as they never messaged you or told you to go. |
Question: How can I tell a classmate that she stinks without being mean? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 08:52 AM PST There`s this girl in my second hour class at school that smells horrible. In my second hour we have assigned seats and mines is right next to her so I have to deal with it every school day for an hour. I try to be as nice as possible and not say anything but all of the other kids laugh and talk loudly about it and bully her. I want to say something to her about it and I`ll buy her soap and deodorant from the dollar store ( i have a job so I can do this) if she needs it but I don`t know how to start the conversation. |
Posted: 07 Nov 2018 06:53 AM PST i'm friends with my brothers ex girlfriend, and i invited her to my horror movie marathon that i'm having with a small group of friends. this past weekend, we had a tournament in a different state and basically there was a lot of drama. she went home and told her mom some lies and then her mom called my mom and it was a big deal. but she (my friend) has been sweet ever since having no idea her mom called mine. she and i have been going on like nothing happened and i need to talk to her soon about it in person, but the next time i'll see her is this weekend at the party but i don't want her there for multiple reasons. how can i disinvite her in a sly way without being mean so i can put off the conversation a bit longer and still have fun at my party? |

Question: Is my Annoyance Validated? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 06:33 AM PST I have this friend, who whenever we go out, asks me to take photos of her. I think it's okay to ask for a picture for a memory, but she just takes this to a whole different level. She begs me and our other friends to take photos of her as a hangout plan. She will literally text me begging for a photo shoot of only her. I'm not even a photographer! We are both in our early twenties. She blasts everything all over social media and most days I find myself unfollowing her from FB (I only have a FB). She asked me today for a photo shoot of her and I really don't want to do it. How do I tell her no without sounding rude or annoyed? We work together and have the same friends, so we often see each other, so I can't say that I'm too busy... |
Question: Should i send her a self defense care package? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 06:20 AM PST a friend of mine posted on instagram how she doesnt feel safe at college because gang iniations are targeting girls and theres been like 8 attacks so far on campus. well shes a friend but not a best friend. but should i mail her a self defense care package so she can feel safe? something like a taser and 2 pepper srapy bottles and maybe a cherry bomb or is that over the top desperate |
Posted: 07 Nov 2018 04:20 AM PST This girl is supposedly my "friend". I always see her looking at my paper and sometimes will blatantly ask me for answers. I don't mind because she's my "friend" ( or I thought). Two times, I asked for an answer during an exam and she said, " I'm not there yet." The second time was on a quiz, she literally wrote the answer and then when I asked her, she said " I'm doing it right now." Whole time she's hiding it. Flipping her paper, covering it with her hands and being so extra. Meanwhile, she asked me for a question she didn't know and was looking at my paper. What do you call people like this? I want to know the adjective. |
Question: Do you have to be 18 to go to an airsoft war? Posted: 07 Nov 2018 12:21 AM PST My friends and i are all under 18 (I'm 17 and they are all 16). Do we have to have a parent with us to sign the waiver? |
Posted: 06 Nov 2018 11:58 PM PST He told me about the issue, and said people he had blocked were all unblocked and it was a worldwide issue. I asked him was he gonna block them all again, he said "no last person I blocked was six years ago, after all this time no one blocked cares, if they did they could have set up another page and reached out again." |

Question: Someone waved to me and I didn’t wave back what should I do? Posted: 06 Nov 2018 11:39 PM PST Yesterday I was at kroger and I saw one of my old friends who I haven't seen for about 2 years and she waved to me and I just gave her a mean look, I looked at her like I was mad and she just stopped waving and walked away. I didn't mean to do that, I was just so nervous I didn't know what to do. I know she was waving to me because no one else was really around and now I feel horrible. What should I do? What if I see her again? |
Question: Would this be ok please answer? Posted: 06 Nov 2018 08:57 PM PST My friend and I talked about making plans to hang out Saturday night and then again on Sunday afternoon but I was thinking tonight that I'm not going to mention this anymore to her at all. Would it be ok for me to do that? I just have not been feeling good and it's been hard for me to really go out anywhere and stay for awhile because I'm just usually ready to get home or should I just mention it to her anyway closer to time? And just go |

Posted: 06 Nov 2018 08:06 PM PST My friend and i have kinda planned to go out Saturday night and then Sunday for lunch but we haven't set up the times we want to go but now I really feel like we shouldn't because it's been hard for me to be anywhere for very long because I have not been feeling well and I still don't so I thought about just not mentioning it to her again. Is that ok if I don't? And I haven't hung out with her in almost 4 months |
Question: How can I be happier? Posted: 06 Nov 2018 08:00 PM PST Honestly, I'm a 16 year old girl and I know i shouldn't be like this at this time of my teenage life. I'm really serious and sometimes could be call timid, but I want to be able to have friends and people I could be myself with. My parents say like I'm kind of bitter and serious, that I should have fun(safely), that they want me to talk to other people. I sometimes feel like I have low self steem, because when I'm at school, I see the "pretty" girls, and I don't really look like that and people sometimes called me ugly. I know that outer appearences dont matter, only whats inside. I want to "Raise my Spirit", like MarshMellow quoted. Also, I struggle with making friends, I haven't had "real friends" or I dont think so, since I graduated 8th grade. |

Question: How to make friends in high school? Posted: 06 Nov 2018 07:28 PM PST I'm a junior girl, and I don't have any actual friends in high school. It's pretty lonely. I honestly don't know why, I mean I'm somewhat conventionally attractive, have a sense of style (like a bazillion people compliment me each day), do cross country/track and a couple other clubs, make an effort to talk to people in each of my classes, and always help people out in whatever way. I mean, I have people I'll talk to in school that are "friends", but not anyone that would choose me over someone else, or would actually hang/talk to me outside of school. I'm pretty sure I'm not some weirdo or annoying person (I hope at least). Anyway, any tips would be appreciated. |
Question: Is this a stupid thing to get upset about? Posted: 06 Nov 2018 07:24 PM PST My roommate does laundry 2-3 times everyday.. which means more money for utility fee.. and she washes 2-3 clothings sometimes and it is just a waste of energy and I can't do laundry because she always does it... The sound of the dryer and washer bothers me because it beeps off every hour everyday.. she also uses up all my laundry detergent and softeners.. I think this will be a silly thing to tell my roommate.. "don't do laundry everyday.."will this bother anyone too? or is it just me.. could there be a reason why she washes few clothing at a time.. everyday..? She will do laundry right after she wakes up, do another after class, and do one right before she goes to bed.. i don't understand.. I do laundry every 2-3 weeks.. |
Question: I like this guy but I got upset now I don't know what to do.? Posted: 06 Nov 2018 06:11 PM PST I told this guy I wanted to be friends with benefits. He said he was interested. I showed him a picture of my breasts and a video. And he said he liked it and that he was interested in being friends with benefits. But that he's busy with work he was working three jobs. I got upset with him recently and below is the message I sent him. I'm the one talking in the blue and he's the white. I sent him a message after he replied in the white. But he hasn't actually read it but I see where he's been online all day. The last thing he said to me was on last Tuesday and that was he would talk to me sometime this week. But he hasn't read my message yet. I'm not going to message him again though. |
