Question: My dad got his period! Now what do I do.? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 12:48 PM PDT We were eating at a restaurant yesterday, and everything was going well. Suddenly, my dad complained that he had "private area cramps", and he excused himself to the bathroom. Around 5 min later, he came back and there was a blood stain on his pants. I'm so confused! I know that I am not adopted, so why did my dad get his period? |

Posted: 05 Aug 2018 11:11 AM PDT Is it normal if someone looked very old before puberty but after puberty they look younger and are like 19 or 20 now and people still ask what grade you're in? Like everyone they know now that is their age looks way older than them. Is this common or normal? |
Question: I am meeting a second cousin tonight for the first time, what do I say to the 19-year-old? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 08:52 AM PDT Her grandfather was a drunk so we seldom saw him and so never saw her. Also my mom hates the second cousin's mom because she hates the parents of the girl. In my mom's family the offspring of enemies are cursed several generations. |
Question: My parents are bad moral examples, especially my dad. How do I learn good morals? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 08:51 AM PDT My mom loves hating people and my dad enables her with it. My dad has bad morals all around in about half of the areas of life. He also lies chronically. |
Question: What should I do with emotionally abusive brother? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 08:38 AM PDT im sad living in a toxic family environment. my mother is passive about dealing with my younger brother, who threatens to scold me if I do not clean the house well and has been emotionally abusing me. Counselling doesnt help because they would just ask me either talk to him which is impossible as he could resort to violence, or to distance myself away which is to me not of use because no matter what he will try to pick on me. What should I do? I dont feel like living on eggshells It has been 10years since he was like that way to me. I hate my mum as she is passive about it. Now it is as tthough my brother is in charge of the house. And I dont have any freedom or human rights in this family. Should I move out? |
Question: How to convince my parents to let me get an iPhone? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 08:21 AM PDT I love iPhones I love everything abt them from the way they look to the camera quality and I would like one so bad. However, my parents have gotten it into their head that Apple is evil. My brother recently bought his own iPhone 8+ red and it s so perfect(My brother is 15). My sister has the iPhone 7 (she s 18) and a brand new macbook both bought by my parents. I ve never been a greedy person but Im tired of getting bullied and teased about my crappy Samsung and people thinking I don t have enough money everytime I whip it out, because my parents are extremely capable of buying me an iPhone, they just refuse to and it s just plain unfair for me to get bullied and teased about while their oblivious to my issues |
Question: Am I in my right for dating my 2nd cousin? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 07:47 AM PDT She is my half uncle's granddaughter. This makes her my half second cousin. Would it be wrong if I were to see her? |
Posted: 05 Aug 2018 04:46 AM PDT I live with my mom (80 yo) and I want her to sell her old furniture so I can use the living room to put my dumbbells and weights and gym gear. Also, when I asked he to redact her will she got sad and depressed. Anyway, any inputs? |
Question: How has having a custody arrangement helped your coparenting? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 11:40 PM PDT I'm having papers drawn up for my sons father to have a custody agreement in place. He barely holds up his end of things financially and picks and chooses when he wants to see our son based off of convenience for him. It's always a constant argument because all I want is for him to be consistent in his child's life and his head is in another space. He's concerned about having a girlfriend so he isn't lonely and spending money on cars and trips. He's extremely immature to say the least. Having an arrangement is definitely needed because I can not deal with the back and forth for the next 17 years. For anyone that has gone through it, father and mothers perspective, did it help smooth things out in the long run or were there still headaches? |
Question: I feel disgusting and i think i need help? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 11:28 PM PDT my mom and dad separated and reconciled many times, but 6 years ago, they split for good. my mom is very promiscuous (though i hate to down her like that), and dates many men at a time. i am 16, a transgender boy (born female but i am medically becoming male, and my brain is wired as a male.) idk if me feeling male has anything to do with this or not, but it's making me overthink. my mom doesn't treat me like a mom. i live with her and my grandmother, and my grandma is too hard on me and tries to be the mom while my real mom goes out and sees dudes. when she comes home, she talks about them. i even showed her a band i liked once, and she now obsesses over the guitarist in an unhealthy way, paying more attention to his tweets than her family. anyways, she tells me things she would say to a friend, like "oh that guy is hot" to "i like to be dominant in bed" and her relationship drama. she's even resorted to - while we were in the back of a spencer's (where they keep sexual items) - doing this weird flirty laugh and looking at me and making me walk through it with her. i'm getting more and more depressed about home life, but other than that, i'm a happy person. it's just that now, i feel like my own mind is manipulating me into thinking that she's doing some emotionally incestual ****, yknow? i feel utterly disgusted with myself when i am around her, and i don't know if i'm messed up or if she is. idk what i'm asking, i just feel really sad and disgusting. |
Posted: 04 Aug 2018 11:26 PM PDT I live in arizona, phoenix. I m 14, and my brother recently turned 11. I haven t been in school for 8 years, and my brother never even stepped inside a school. I was pulled out because my mom was angry at the school for holding me back a grade since I wasn t showing up on time often (we didn t have a car, and it was about a mile walk.) and my brother... Well, I m not at all sure why she never bothered to take him or at least homeschooled him. He can t read, and can only do simple math. I can read, but I can barely do math such as times tables and whatnot and only recently knew about things like semi-colons, all the states in the US, and whatever. Ever since, she has been lying to both the school and people around her that we ve been homeschooled, when all she ever did was buy random math and dictionary books and leave it up to us, literal children, to even bother opening it. For the longest time, I supported this. I thought it was fine, and I was always making excuses for my mother about this. Only until last year, I found out that this was illegal, and how wrong it was. Before any of you ask if I even bothered to ask my mom if I wanted to go to school, I have! Last year, I even wounded up breaking down because of how upsetting it is that my own 10 year old brother couldn t even READ! Please help me, I m very torn on what to do and need advice. |
Question: How to develop a better relationship with nephew even tho i am off at college? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 10:48 PM PDT I am 18 my nephew is 10. we used to be super close but then he got siblings so it was not always one on one. His parents are divorced and he has to deal with a lot of bad stuff from both sides. I of course still love and admire him but I just feel like we are n t as close as the rest of his siblings. Any ideas on how to get to know him and have him open up to me more, I want him to know that I am someone he can go to for anything he needs. Alo I am off at college really far away from him so that just makes the situation worse. Thank you. |
Question: Should I still go home even after she cursed me out ? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 10:05 PM PDT So I came to my parents house to visit at 9 my mom asked if I'm staying over night I said yes then at 12 I say that I changed my mind and i wanna go and immediately after I said that she flipped out and called me a low life piece of ****. And then she said I abandoned my family etc was very angry and aggressive about it This type of behavior is hurtful and damaging. so I know that she wants me to stay and if I stay she will be happy but if I go she will be mad but considering the way she talked to me I feel like I should go in order to teach her a lesson that she isn't allowed to talk to me like that, considering that is the type of language that got me depressed in the first place. So do you think I should stay or go? Will she learn a lesson if I go?? |
Question: How ironic is this? Question about my mother's behavior. Her attitude about an issue? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 09:24 PM PDT Concerning her not having taught me to cook at all... She replies why don't you just find some man to cook for you.. a husband who cooks all your meals why won't she let me cook for myself even? I taught myself to cook some things. There's many things I cannot do. But I can do a souffle. |
Question: My dad hit my mom, what do i do? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 09:15 PM PDT My parents have been talking about getting a divorce for years, they're both very unhappy in their marriage but they say they're waiting on me to graduate and move out since i'm 16 and the youngest out of their five kids so it will better then if they do split. i disagree, i think having to listen to them get drunk and then yell and scream at eachother every weekend is way worse. literally almost every weekend they scream at eachother for hours about how they hate eachother. my dad's brother died of a heart attack two days ago and he's been obviously very upset since. tonight my parents got into a very heated argument like always and all the sudden i heard my mom scream and a crash and he had pushed her over guest room room and she fell on the ground. she also had a small cut on her face but i don't know if he threw something at her or hit her or what, she didn't say. i love my dad and when he saw me run into the room he kept apologizing and i know he would never hit me, but i don't know what to do, i feel like theres no one i can talk to about it, i'm kinda embarrassed, all my friends parents are in loving stable relationships and they wouldnt understand and i feel like they might treat me differently if they knew. i cant tell any adults bc then they might call the cops and i would never want my dad to go to jail. my dad is not a bad person, i never thought he would actually hit my mom but he's a great dad and he loves me and my siblings very much. i don't know what to do. |
Question: Are your parents always right ? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 09:12 PM PDT |
Question: My mom is going through a tough time and I don’t know how to help? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 09:10 PM PDT I'm 15 currently and going to be a sophomore in a few days. Ever since middle school, my parents have been going through a rough period of miscommunication and no communication at all. This past year, my dad began gambling almost everyday and my mom got annoyed. She confronted him about his gambling and they had a huge fight which resulted in him packing his bags and leaving. He let my mom take over his business and in exchange, he wouldn't have to take care of me and my brother. To my knowledge, he's been enjoying his time with gambling and going to places like LA and Seattle. My mother, after taking over the business, now works the day and night shift. She also has to take care of my 8 year old brother and me. I try to help around the house by doing chores so that she doesn't have to work more when she comes back home but I feel like that's not enough. What else can I do to help her? I feel selfish by not doing anything even though I'm already in high school. |
Question: Why is my dad so stupid? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 09:04 PM PDT He talks **** and follows me everywhere. Like i was having fun and he came and said to go to sleep and I can't. And said to be in my room even if I can't sleep and turn off the lights. **** him. |
Question: Will my in-law’s to be think I’m bullimic when they meet my overweight sister? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 08:58 PM PDT I'm engaged and I do have a pretty good relationship with my in-laws to be. I'm worried they're gunna think in bullimic because I'm really (naturally) thin, and have a naturally small appetite. They've seen me eat many times, but I don't eat much. My sister is noticeably overweight, (although she makes it very clear to everyone she knows that she's a vegetarian). I'm concerned that they're gunna notice I'm related to her, and then wonder if I'm skinny because of an eating disorder. Would you suspect this too? What would you do? |
Question: My niece and transgender? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 08:36 PM PDT My niece come out to our family, said she wants to be a boy and be called Jacob, my sister is law said no way that was going to happen. My niece is 15. I get it might be a phase but I feel we should always support her, now it causing issues such as my nice is now self harming and so forth..my siste is law is still ignoring it saying all this is normal when she going though puberty. I get she is not my kid but i love her and worry about her, I let her know I support her and always there for her. Is there anything I can do to help my sister in law, before my niece hurt herself too far |
Question: Is this a healthy home? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 08:35 PM PDT I'm 21, but my parents treat me like I'm much younger. I'm not allowed to walk around my own block without my sister, ans to go anywhere further away i have to be accompanied by one of my parents. I'm not allowed to go on dates by myself, and I'm pretty sure my mom is actively trying to keep me from getting a job....? . I depend on my parents for support, I'm trying to go to a decent college and am sure i can't afford it myself...... Would it be better to suffer without freedom for 3 more years, or leave and figure out college later? |
Posted: 04 Aug 2018 06:49 PM PDT When my siblings and I were kids we got time out for fighting. I'm about to travel with my parents how do I get them not to fight like little kids? They're at their worst when my dad's driving. My moms parents were the same way when they were alive though my dad's parents were a lot more mature and nice. How do I handle being with them for a week when they're going to fight like 6 to 10-year-olds? I am dreading it. |
Posted: 04 Aug 2018 06:23 PM PDT I'm not allowed to tell anyone about it so I'm always having to keep a secret and it makes me cry every day. I'm 14 and girl. |
Question: I gave my vegetarian cousin meat as a prank can he sue? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 05:56 PM PDT He is 18 he's been vegetarian since he was 9. As a prank at our family get together today my aunt and I we gave him something and said it was tofu after he took a bite my aunt and everyone started laughing. He said what is so funny and I told him it was chicken he put in his mouth. He spit it out and said he is sueing. Why is he allowed to do that? |

Question: Is it wrong that my family never came to visit me in the hospital ? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 03:21 PM PDT Monday I went to the Er for stomach pains, found out I had pancreatitis and didn't leave the hospital until Wednesday around 4 pm, we'll throught the whole time I was there my own family couldn't come visit me, my sister didn't even ask how I was feeling until Tuesday night, my dad did call and was texting me, my mom didn't ask also until tues night, my bf was the only one by my side, even his own mom came and stay hours with me at the hospital, his own sister even wanted to come visit me on Tuesday his sister, his brother, his mom and his sis bf came, my own sister was fronting on social media saying she misses me but no visit, she doesn't work until 11 pm and my mom doesn't work until 1:30 pm, the visitin hours were at 6:00 am ! Nobody came, My own sister would rather be with her friends than with me, she's like that, I notice she puts her friends first instead of her own family, my mom is my sis fav, she always talks **** to me and never to her! It pissed me off and I was crying because my own family couldn't come but my bf and his family were there for me, sometimes I feel like I'm unwanted by them, except for my dad, he does a lot for me and I understand him not coming he works hard ! But at least he did call and texted me |
Question: What to do if you really hate your family? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 03:01 PM PDT I really cannot stand most of my family. The only exception is my mother and two cousins, literally. I hate my brother, sister, and grandmother. My family has actually aided in my misanthropic views on humanity. I am a 19 year old girl, and I have very bad trust issues. I honestly don't see the good in anyone. When someone is being "good", it's an act. They have some kind of motive behind it. I know that its irrational to think that everyone's like that, but all human beings are guilty until proven innocent, and even still I feel they're guilty in some way. I don't even really in love, anymore. I feel that's it's an illusion and something that society made up. My stance on my family has nothing to do with being "young". No, my family is very abusive. My sister is emotionally abusive (shes 31). Shes a bully and even forced me out of the closet 2 year old, with absolutely no regard or concern for my feelings or what I might have done to myself. She's abusing and using and elderly man. My grand mother is also very emotionally and mentally abusive. The only reason she isn't physically abusive anymore, is because she's old. My brother is a bum, user, and opportunist. I am in no way saying that I am perfect, no one is. However, I am not a mean, cruel, and nasty person like they are. What should you do if you hate your family? |
Question: My mom is driving me crazy! HELP? Posted: 04 Aug 2018 02:44 PM PDT Okay, I'm 14 y/o girl. I know there's people out there who think "oh it's just teenage hormones, everyone goes through it" Just hear me out -- My mother seriously does not leave me alone. She is CONSTANTLY screaming at me and lecturing me for the absolute tiniest things. It's basically abuse, she hits me, screams the harshest words to me, and so on. She ALWAYS tells me I ruined her life and she wishes she never had me. She loves to complain and blame everything on me, even if its clearly someone elses fault. The thing is that it's CONSTANT. It's not every once in a while. It's all the time everyday. My mom and dad are divorced, I live with my mom and brother. Talking to my dad and moving in with him is definitely not an option. My mom won't even let me call my dad unless its in front of her and she hears it all. I also can not just sit her down and explain how i feel. She gives 0 ***** about how i feel. Wanna know how I feel? Like ******* killing myself. She makes me feel absolutely worthless. I seriously have been feeling depressed for years now. It seems like the only way to get out of this is to just kill myself. It never ends. She takes care of me, I am not gonna report her to the police or anything. but HOW CAN I HELP MYSELF? HOW DO I FEEL LIKE A NORMAL PERSON? I ONLY FEEL LIKE **** ALL THE TIME. I KNOW I'M YOUNG BUT IT HURTS. EVERYTHING DOES. I STAY IN BED ALL THE TIME AND I DON'T EVEN FEEL LIKE A GIRL. I ONLY FEEL GROSS AND MISERABLE. HOW DO I FIND PEACE IN MIND? |
