Question: Fiancé wants 300 people at the wedding and I don’t, what do we do? Posted: 08 Jun 2018 09:26 AM PDT My fiancé wants to invite literally everyone we know to our wedding. While I think there's nothing wrong with that, we are paying for the wedding ourselves and we simply can't afford to invite that many people. I was thinking around 150-200, which we can afford. He wants to ask his parents to help out with the extra cost so we can invite more people, which I'm just not comfortable with. His parents are very wealthy and are generous and would be of course more than willing to help with the bill, I just feel so guilty having to ask and would rather us take on the burden by ourselves and only invite who we can afford to invite. 150-200 is already a very large wedding. What can I do? |
Question: Should I wear a white cardigan to a wedding? Posted: 08 Jun 2018 09:17 AM PDT I know you're not supposed to wear white to a wedding, but it's in a Catholic Church so I need to cover my shoulders out of respect. I'm wearing a lilac dress and I only have a white cardigan to go with it. Is that acceptable? **and before anyone tells me to just not wear it and it doesn't matter if my shoulders show, the bride and groom have specifically asked us to dress modestly out of respect for the sanctity of what's taking place. I already know there's nothing inappropriate about shoulders. I don't need a lecture, nor do I need to just say screw it and piss off the bride and groom and wear whatever I want. 🙄 |
