Question: How do I stand up to my Sister? Posted: 15 Jun 2018 11:04 AM PDT I'm currently 12 years old and my Sister is so mean to me. I was playing videogames with a bunch of friends and my Dad came in to watch me because I wanted him to. My sister came in too (( In my Opinion)) To seek attention from my Dad, then she says she wants to play and I said no ((Because its my XBOX and I did not want her to Embarrass Me. I was playing then she talked my Dad into letting her play and he said after i'm done with a round. ((I was not to happy about this)) I said no but he made me let her play, she continued to bug me and make me die screaming into my ear and Dad was fine with this, I had my mic on and she started saying things like, ""HE LIKES THIS FRIEND"" ""HE HAS POOPY UNDERWEAR"" ""HES A DUMBASS"" And my dads over here laughing about this i was super Embarrassed and upset and started crying ((These were all my in real friends)) She started telling lies like, "I liked this friend" ((Was a girl)) and made me upset and Dad was amused about this. My friends we also laughing, she got her turn and demanded to be on with my friends and kept joining the party when I said not to because shes trying to make me look bad infront of my friends, I started crying and I was demanded to leave the room and I needed to learn how to share my Dad said. So my sister was bullying me and my dad was fine, then I said ((30 mins later)) I'm going to play on her computer if shes playing my XBOX she got off in an instant and i started to play again. I was upset. Help Me |
Question: Little brother extremely grumpy towards me? Posted: 15 Jun 2018 11:01 AM PDT My 10 year old brother for the past 2 months has been super grumpy to whatever I do. I'm not just talking the usual "go away" every one in a while, I'm talking screaming, fighting, teasing and more. This, as you can guess is getting very old. Today I tried to address this issue with him and it ended up at him screaming. I will admit every once in a while I will be trying to get on his nerves and I feel he has a right to be angry towards me in that case. But this is to the point of where I ask to play with him and he screams and occasionally kicks at me. This is a huge problem for me as I can't even go near him without him acting crazy. He doesn't want me to play with our mutual friends either which gets difficult. This issue is getting on my nerves now that it has been going on for as long as it has. Can someone please explain to me what could be going on and what I could do to stop this. |
Posted: 15 Jun 2018 10:21 AM PDT Me and my brother have never been very close. There are many reasons. I am 5 years older, I live 4 hours away but mostly it comes down to us being very different people. My brother is a very quiet, reserved and introverted person. It is very difficult to talk to him. He had an episode last year when he felt he was depressed. I did my best, as his brother to help him through that. I went to see him every other weekend, tried to hang out, talk to him, make sure he is doing alright. But the second he felt better, he started hanging more with his girlfriend and he never really initiated anything with me. I'm not mad about that. He is young, 23 years old, wants to be with his girlfriend. That is normal for someone his age. But he has lost touch with the family in general. And my dad has been nagging me about how poor our relationship is. To be honest I am tired of trying with him. He is my brother, nothing can change that and I will always be there for him. But I don't see us having a genuine friendship. It's always me initiating things. Talking with him is like pulling teeth. He doesn't seem to need or want me close in his life. I am fine with that. Are you suppose to be close to your siblings just because you are siblings? |

Question: Is it ok what my cousin did to me? Posted: 15 Jun 2018 07:31 AM PDT I am a guy in high school who has a older female cousin who is a joy to be with. She has a great sense of humor and we have a lot of fun together. I arranged for her to take me to the airport for a flight. I was running late and she asked me how much more time I needed to get ready before we left. I told her "It wouldn't be long now". She said "how many inches is it when it is long"? Oh my God, she is talking about my d***. I think I am entitled to brag a little don't you so I said 12 inches. She said "In your dreams "Shorty". Do you think she was just having fun at my expense? |
Posted: 15 Jun 2018 07:21 AM PDT So basically my mom moved to Georgia and she's staying with her brother (My uncle) and his wife (my aunt) until my mom gets hired and gets her own place she's staying there. Now I found out because I did some Facebook stalking ,that my aunt talks to one of my mom sisters who she doesn't like...Basically this sister is fcked up and has done some REALLY bad things to my mom years ago and even stole her car..... now this sister is old now and idk if she's harmless BUT if my mom knew that my aunt that she's staying with is talking to her she'd be PISSED... Idk what if anything is being said about my mom,I don't think anything bad but I don't know if she's repeating my moms buisness... but if I tell my mom this I know there will be a fight ... and my mom doesn't have her own place now either ... what should I do ? |

Question: I feel attacked in my own home, what to Do? Posted: 15 Jun 2018 04:18 AM PDT I live with my aunt, I'm a minor, and she verbally attacks me constantly. She makes me feel worthless and like all I am is a burden. I'll admit I've made mistakes but she's always preaching about forgive and forget. I haven't even done anything that bad. I'm tired and afraid that if this continues I'll make a stupid decision. I have a past of suicide attempts and self harm, I don't want to he pushed to that place again. What should I do? |

Even if I needed a place to stay i couldn't go there her husband wont even let me in their home. Im beyond hurt, i just don't know what to do anymore. |
Question: How to get my sisters to stop being mean to my cousin that lives here? Posted: 14 Jun 2018 09:22 PM PDT I'm 16 and a male. My cousin is almost 17. My sisters are 16 and 18. My sisters are very mean to him and calls him a loser that needs to leave. They say he's not family and ask our mother why is he here behind his back plenty of times. I like my cousin. He moved in when we were 13. He had problems with his mom and had no where to go. He was like the brother I never had. My sisters are sort of crazy and hate him. My mom called my cousin her son and then My 18 year old sister cried saying "he is not your son!" There are times when they do act nice to him but other times they pick on him and has even threaten to kick him out even though this house isn't theirs. I just want everyone to get along, my cousin says he doesn't know why they hate him and he wants to commit suicide because he loves them! I just do f know what to do. My |

Posted: 14 Jun 2018 08:41 PM PDT So im living away from my family sometimes I do struggle with money cause I didn't have a stable job lately. I always send to my mother two gifts every year. and when I ask her she always tells me to choose. so i buy her a perfume or a handbag. so i did not know that she was expecting a perfume and i did not have money so i bought for her a cheap but nice hand bag. that was the first cheap gift i bought for her since i became an adult. when i called her she told me to never buy her anything again and it was bad and worst gift and she gave it to my sister. not only that when i was a teenager i bought her a a t shirt i liked and also i didn't have money she threw at my face. after her phone call i realized that she has no understanding whatsoever instead of asking me if im okay or need anything she just expect me to keep buying her stuff. i mean i dont mind i do like to buy her nice stuff when i was working in my last stable job i did buy her gifts. should i tell her or just buy her another gift that she would like??? |
Question: Why does it feel like my mom is still parenting me? Posted: 14 Jun 2018 07:34 PM PDT I'm 44 years old and I live with my mother. Sometimes it feels to me like she still parents me. This irritates me because I feel like at my age I'm too old to be parented. How do I get this to stop? |
Question: How do I handle my father marrying a woman who verbally abuses me? Posted: 14 Jun 2018 05:24 PM PDT My father has had a girlfriend for about five years, and they are marrying in a few days. A few months ago, I went on a trip with my father, his girlfriend, and her daughter. I have OCD, anxiety, and depression, and I ve never been away from home for a long period of time, and they weren t very helpful and understanding of my concerns. I stayed in the hotel room for most of the trip because I didn t want my concerns to ruin their trip. One night I had a horrible anxiety attack and my dad s girlfriend took her daughter out of the room and rented a different room for the night. My dad at least made an effort to try and console me, but he didn t do a very good job. I love my dad so much and I want him to be happy, but I know that marrying her is bad for him and his children. She often leaves my dad to take care of her daughter while she goes and does whatever thing, and even got mad at her daughter when she asked to do something alone with her mom, because she said that she needed to spend more time with him. She is also extremely manipulative towards him. After the trip ended, she hasn t let him see me. However, one time when she was gone, he invited me to his house to stay for a few days. I did, and his girlfriend later found out (I think). That weekend, he called me saying that he was staying in a hotel, and wanted my sister and I to spend the night with him. I later found out that his girlfriend broke his phone during a fight, and kicked him out. I woke up in the middle of that n FINISHED PARAGRAPH: I woke up in the middle of that night to hear him and his girlfriend screaming over the phone. Later, I found out they were planning to marry. She also wrote a letter to my mom saying how my sister and I ruined her life, and needs apology. My mother and father think I should apologize, but I have no idea how, nor do I want to. My sister didn't even go on the trip. We are both estranged from him because of this, and I feel it is my fault. How do I support his decision? |

Question: My Mom lies to me. How do I get her to stop? Posted: 14 Jun 2018 05:00 PM PDT She promises stuff and then changes her mind and lies about people she is mad at. |
Posted: 14 Jun 2018 04:10 PM PDT She is on there all the time. Last summer she suddenly wasn't posting so I checked on her and she'd been fired from work, had no money, had no electricity, was suicidal, and scared to tell anyone in the family. I helped her but it cost $1,000 and I was asked to keep it a secret I was paying her. Her mother later found out and went nuts on her including for her not paying me, the beloved nephew, back. Her mother absolutely hates her with a burning passion. Her step-father has no balls to stand up for her and her real father is an alcoholic and refuses to be in her life (last I heard he was in jail on sex abuse charges). So she has no immediate family. Her sister and brother don't like her as they want to please their mother and the brother is developmentally disabled. So back to her if she is in need I don't want her to commit suicide but I also don't want to get all involved like last year. Her mother likes me but at some point is bound to turn on me as she does everyone. She called her niece fat and ugly and a liar two years ago. She is in menopause and probably somewhat narcissistic. This cousin has Borderline Personality Disorder and is 24 years old. She was, as noted, rejected by her father and never trusted anyone. Her mother plays favorites with the three kids and she is the "bad seed" and only child from the alcoholic father. Her mother has sent emails insulting her to us nephews and nieces. So how do I help her without getting all involved? I don't want her to kill herself but also don't want to spend another $1,000 on her. I am terrible at saying no cause of my own issues with my own alcoholic mother. |
Posted: 14 Jun 2018 03:31 PM PDT So Mom travels for work a lot. This time she decided to leave me with her shiny new boyfriend for the few days between her leaving on her trip and me going off to camp. Mom's boyfriend decided to try to teach me some skateboard tricks. I'm not terribly coordinated so I got a bit banged up. When I went off to camp the camp counselors freaked and called social services. Mom is talking about coming home early to see what is going on...which could get her in trouble with her boss. How do I get everyone to just calm down? Also, is the relationship basically over? I hope not..I kind of liked this one. |

Question: Brother changes in front of me? Is it normal? Posted: 14 Jun 2018 01:54 PM PDT I'm just wondering. I live with my father and two brothers. Im 14 and he's 16 and I have another brother that's 21. My 16 year old brother and I share a room. Sometimes he gets completely naked in front of me. I can see his privates. I asked him why would he do this and he says he doesn't care and he says it's just a penis and I shouldn't either. But I feel like it's wrong. We are all male but I never change in front my brothers or dad but he walks around with boxers on and no shirt in front of us. I sometimes walk shirtless but I always have pants or shorts on. My oldest brother has never does this either. |
