Posted: 22 Jun 2018 02:18 PM PDT All I can really say, is that I only remember my mom with cancer I kind of just forgot my mom before she was diagnosed.Everytime I try to remember her, it just hurts me because she's gone and I won't ever see her or hug her again and it just makes me so upset because it just doesn't really feel like she's actually gone. She was basically the only parent I had and she took the roles of both father and mother, I'm just 15 and I feel like an orphan because she was basically the only parent I had. The only real memories I have of her are the bad ones from seeing how weak she was to the very last time I saw her |
Question: Is my wife's strictness affecting my little brother? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 01:52 PM PDT This is a scenario question for something I am doing so don't call me a troll. --------------------- My younger brother just moved in with us (Me and My wife) because our parents have went abroad on a vacation. He is 13 and is a good boy when it comes to his nature and personality. My wife loves him dearly as her younger brother and is usually pushing him to achieve success in life. She is very strict when it comes to studies and has also setup a timetable for him to dp his daily routine. Whenever he gets an A, she usually acts indifferent. Sje says that she is doing this to make him work even harder but I believe that its affecting him negatively. He doesn't study the way he used to nor he does anything else with the determination like he had in the past. He also has grown more depressed. My wife acknowledges this but refuses to lighten up the burden or at least praise him. What can I do in this situation ? |
Question: Is it normal that my parents tell me how long to shower for? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 01:26 PM PDT Ok so I'm 15 and I honestly don't shower that much or for that long, but every time I'm about to shower my step dad goes to the door and tells me not to take a long shower, and when I'm showering my parents bang on the door and yell at me that I'm taking too long. I take like 20 minute showers. Are my parents treating me like a child? Because it seems like it to me, and Is that a normal thing for parents to do because it seems totally irrational to me. |
Posted: 22 Jun 2018 12:40 PM PDT I'm 14 years old, and I backtalked my mom and was rude to her and my little sisters while my dad was away for work and now he's back and him and my mom talked last night when he got home. They talked to me this morning and say they want me to come up with my own punishment appropriate for disrespecting my mom and being rude to my sisters. Help, any ideas appreciated. I really don't want to lose a privilege or have to surrender my phone or electronics. What else could I suggest? And I don't do chores because we have a personal house cleaner so that wouldn't be an option. |

Question: Why some people hurt others out of jealousy? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 08:03 AM PDT Like me and my sister get jealous of others, if they have better body, smarter, etc. We might gossip, but im talking about people who are haters who try to ruin your life. |

Posted: 22 Jun 2018 07:10 AM PDT Say the mom wants the child kicked out but the dad says they don't have to get kicked out regardless what the other parent says, who gets the final decision. The mom or the dad? |
Question: Can my parents stop me? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 06:39 AM PDT My boyfriend booked a ticket for Paris. The flight is in the winter and I want to go with him I can afford it with my job. But he's 18 and I'm 17 by then he'll be 19 but I won't be 18 until March and the flight is in December. He's a sweet guy but do you think my mom and dad will be pissed off if I bought the ticket and flew with him to Europe I know it sounds dumb but we're young and you only live once. I think it would be beautiful. My family's Filipino so they're ..."strict" but they're sweet. He's Hispanic but they don't mind him. My mom likes him my dad is 50/50 but he's not a bad guy. He doesn't drink, I have. So he's more innocent than me |
Posted: 22 Jun 2018 03:47 AM PDT The daughter is on Facebook and the mother will see it and twist it to her own glory. Or if I don't wish the daughter one it will be seen as shunning her daughter like others do to get revenge on her narcissistic mother. I kind of feel sorry for the daughter as it is not her fault but on the other hand our family shuns the children of our enemies. So which should I do? Ignore or reach out? You Decide, answer below. |
Question: What would you do if your teenage daughter keeps insulting you? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 01:40 AM PDT |
Posted: 21 Jun 2018 07:45 PM PDT I'm a 13 year old girl and my mom is always afraid that she will make people feel threatened or things worse by "butting in". Unless I'm in danger and it effects my schoolwork, she sees no reason to get involved just because I'm upset with someone else. My mom thinks that getting a grown-up parent in the picture is gonna be bad (unless it's a dangerous situation). Or that another kid might get their mom in too, and that will be a mess. |
Question: I cant wait to move out so my parents will stop bugging me... Is this normal? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 07:38 PM PDT I also like my privacy And maybe use a bathroom that has a door... My family hates me... Expecally my brother.... God... i want to die |

Question: Laws, Wills, and what would happen if someone hypothetically died? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 05:25 PM PDT My mother died when I was young, 13 years ago my father met another woman. Lets call her Sandra. To put things easy, Sandra hates my brother and I because we're a reminder of our father's late wife & Sandra has treated us like trash since. She has her own kids that she thinks the world of - we're getting treated worse only for existing. Sandra moved in a year after meeting my father and we have shared a house since. I have always felt unwanted in our own home because of her. I'm now 18 and I've always been belittled by her (jokes on her, im going to LSE to study accounting). Recently I have been thinking alot about everything. What would happen if my father passed away? Due to his job, he's always at risk of an accident. I keep telling him to write a will but his answer is always 'nothing will happen, i dont need a will'. He has said he wants everything he owns to go to me when he dies. He doesn't want it to go to anyone else. I guess im asking for some insight on what would happen if he passed away with no will. Would my Sandra claim it all? Would it go to my brother and I? After 12 years living together its safe to say shes seen as a 'common law wife' even though they aren't married. My father paid for that house with my mother's money, I would never forgive myself if Sandra ended up with the house. |
Question: Why does my half brothers do this? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 05:23 PM PDT I live with my grandparents all my life My mom and stepdad married and had two children of their own, my half brothers. My half brothers have an athletic physique, and they excessibly use the word gay in their sentence. They ride me for not having a backbone and make fun of me because I am supposedly 'weak' they try to bully me. Or they try to say something so they can get a reaction out of me. Them and my stepdad tries to run over me and says things like I don't have the masculinity of a normal man. My sister said 'he never have a father, and you all do' she said that to my half brothers. My sister was raised with me to. I'm 30 and I avoid them at all cost. What should I do? |
Question: Can I get my cousin arrested? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 03:45 PM PDT When I was younger at age 14 my cousin at the time was 24. She gave me bj several times and rubbed. I know it is Illegal to do that to a minor so can I go to the police on her? I'm an adult male age 20 now. |
Posted: 21 Jun 2018 03:09 PM PDT My new stepdad is a total military history geek and wants me to join his Civil War Reenactor group with him. He says it will be a good bonding experience and is already buying me gear. The problem is, his group dresses as Confederate soldiers, and I'm black. I don't think he's racist, but I'm worried a group of men who like to dress in Confederate uniforms might include a few racists? Would it be safe for a black teen to hang with a lot of guys in Confederate uniforms carrying (replica) guns? And the idea of driving with a realistic looking gun in the car scares me...I'm worried if cops stop me for speeding I'll get shot. Also, I don't want pictures of me in a Confederate uniform ending up on Facebook. Are my concerns that the Civil War Reenactors may include some racists legitimate? Anyone know about those groups? Should I tell my new Stepdad I'm uncomfortable, or ask to join a Union group? Or will this hurt his feelings. |
Question: How and should i call CPS on my family? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 02:24 PM PDT Long story short, i was sexually abused for years by my family. I have cousins in which i am positive are more likely than not being abused. Should i call someone? and how do i go about doing it? I want them to be ok but i also do not know what to do. |
Question: How to work with someone who do things very differently? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 01:58 PM PDT Recently the plumber came and cut a hole in the ceiling due to them being soaked up. Now we are trying to fix the dry wall hole in the ceiling after. I personally want to call people who specialize in it to fix it, which will cost about $100-150 the most. She wants to fix it herself since she has been splashing water on the ceiling not realizing it could rot it. The problem is, we don't have the tool, she and I both don't have experience in this, and most importantly, when she was looking at the parts she is looking for the cheapest supply, lightest, and in my opinion weakest tools to fix it. She's basically trying to cut corners to fix it, and she even said it herself, "if it breaks easily guess we just gotta replace that." I Cannot stand such a short-term thinking and corner cutting work, but I'm also not willing to pay for the full fixing price since she is the one splashing water on the ceiling. So basically she's trying to fix what she broke, but she is trying to DIY in the cheapest and fastest way which can be very unreliable, meanwhile I prefer to have a professional come over to fix it. So really, I'm choosing between 1. Let her fix it, but risk the feeling of it will break and fall on me when we take a shower 2. Tell her not to fix it and call someone to fix it, but she will emphasize that I don't trust her and it is my choice thus I should pay the full price of something she broke Any advice on how I should approach this would be appreciated. |
Posted: 21 Jun 2018 12:40 AM PDT I'm asking for a friend, but I do recall the Irish to not share food, yet eat in front of you, not let you borrow money, yet will not mind you paying them, and they will let their neighbors or relatives struggle instead of help them. Relationships excluded. Am I wrong? |
