Question: Does anyone know how to help my friend? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 05:06 PM PDT My friend took a job as an assistant for someone who claims he is on a business trip in Canada for the next four days (which already sounds sketchy). The job was to basically run errands for him. She only did it for the $500 paycheck, but they sent $4750. Supposedly she got orders to ship the money to some place in Texas. She did that, but it turns out the $4000 check was fake and she shipped her own money which she doesn't have, so she basically owes the bank $4000. The "boss" won't answer her calls, she doesn't know how to get the letter full of money back, she said the cops kept on giving her different phone numbers to call. She's thinking of making a Go Fund Me account with a fake reason (shes on making the cause about some dog funeral) she's even considering about getting a "Sugar Daddy" (She's f**king 17) to give her money. She doesn't know what she's doing and I'm afraid she's going to do something she's gonna regret in the future. I don't know how to help her and any suggestions/solutions will be greatly appreciated |
Question: How do I deal with my friend who is getting on my nerves? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 04:45 PM PDT here is the story/ Friday night I was messaging with a friend while I was looking for stuff. we are both in this social service program that helps us make friends as it is hard for us to do, and they also check in on our ability to clean so that we can keep our space clean and all. I been telling him how my staff ride me hard and how when I tell them I already did my cleaning for the day and they said no way did you clean today we do not believe you at all so clean for us now or get a 0 for cleaning today cause to us it is not done. so my friend was helping me with trying to figure out why that was happening. well Friday when messaging him he said that when I get a new staff(one leaving soon) that he hopes I get a hard **** staff that will be super hard on me and make me do my stuff like really hard so that I can see how I can do better with my cleaning. I mean I clean everyday not my fault y staff does not believe me but my friend thinks I need a harder staff that will whip me in to submission and all. then Monday at his club he asked in front of everyone if I got all my cleaning done and I said yes and he said did you clean your fridge or freezer as one time I was at your house and you opened it up and I saw green stuff in there that made me think you have mold so hope you cleaned it, he said that in front of everyone that was there and that was not called for, I know he is worried for my asthma but 1 do not say that in front of everyone and, 2 if he saw that day he was here then he should have said something then not wait months and tell me in front of people like that and I looked in my fridge nad freezer when I got home and I did not see anything green in there so idk what he was implying. he said that he was ever my staff member that he would ride me hard and would make me clean my stuff super clean and would not back off of me till I did it. I have to remain friends with him as he is doing a fundraiser with me till sept, |
Question: Could this woman like me? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 04:21 PM PDT I've been talking to this old classmate from high school on Facebook. She said that she doesn't want to talk to me on Facebook anymore until I'm ready to hang out with her in person. I like her and I want to hang out with her but I'm scared. I've been a homebody for the past few years. It's been a while since I've hung out with someone. Do you think she will forget about me after so much time passes? I don't want that to happen. She said she's not into people who just want to interact on Facebook or solely text. |
Question: Only 3 people coming to my 16th birthday? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 02:38 PM PDT I invited my 5 close friends, one is recovering from surgery and one hasn't replied bc she had a falling out with my other friend a few months ago and won't reply to my texts. the party is in two days. should I just make it an open invite on my snapchat story? how do I decide who else i can last minute invite? what can I do to make it fun and not a total flop? |

Question: Is fighting in a friendship healthy? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 01:50 PM PDT Me and my friends, let's call them Casey and Kara, always bicker. We love each other, but we bicker a lot. Like if I stay 3 nights with them we'll probably bicker about stupid stuff (what movie to watch, where to go, what to order, and even dumb stuff like who's ugliest) twice in that time period, and I've always thought that was normal. I've known them since we were kids and our friendship is like a sibling relationship. We've had one big fight in our friendship, but that was in high school and is behind us. We don't really think that much about bickering. On the other hand, me and my friend Judy and I bicker less than Casey, Kara, and me do! But she always says our friendship is unhealthy because we "fight too much". We've never had a big fight. We bicker about stupid things like 'is hockey harder than volleyball' and 'is chocolate milk unhealthy', but Judy is always saying we put each other in bad moods and that our friendship is toxic. I don't get it. Is me and Judy's friendship unhealthy? |
Question: Is it me or my friends? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 01:44 PM PDT So, my friend, let's call her Judy, always says I'm really mean and I should be nicer to people. I always make sarcastic jokes and this is why she says I'm mean. She says people interpret them wrong and that I'm just being mean and not joking. I thought she was right... for a while. Then I spent the weekend with my other friend, I'll call her Casey and I realized: it's not me being mean, it's not my jokes, it's Judy. She has said that we put each other in bad moods and that I'm a bad friend. But when I was with Casey we made mean/sarcastic jokes at each other the entire weekend and just laughed about it. I'm close with both of them the same, so it's not that Judy doesn't know me well. When I'm with Casey we constantly are mean to each other jokingly, and I love hanging out with her and we always laugh. But with Judy she kind of makes me feel terrible. So... is it just me and Casey that are rude in the same way, or is it Judy is just a bad friend to me? |

Question: My best friend abandoned me? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 12:04 PM PDT We were like sisters growing up. Best friends until the very end... or at least that's what it felt like. Now she won't start conversations with me and won't keep them going when I start them. The last time she spoke to me was over a month ago... and it was because I had won something on Facebook and she saw it. We haven't seen each other in over a year. I message her and say that we need to hang out and give her the times that I'm free... she says she'll check her schedule... but never gets back with me. Has adulthood finally stole my best friend? Did she move on with her life without me? Should I keep trying to reach out? |
Posted: 27 Jun 2018 11:54 AM PDT I'm 19, I have a super close friend who has helped me with school and personal life things these past 2-3 years. She is 57 and is the sweetest lady. She would help me on the phone when it came to school and my training. We met through her brother who died 2 years ago.. after his passing we both took it very hard but through it we became very close. We have a special bond and talk every day on the phone. She started as a mentor and slowly became a very special and close friend of mine. We talk about everything and anything, shes suprised me with gifts on my birthday and holidays. We have been facebook friends for a long time, we always send selfies to each other and share fun things. We have shared so many sweet times, we've been through happy times and sad ones but still have a special love for each other at the end of the day. She lives FAR away, she finally gets to make a trip to my city in these next few weeks to visit me for the first time . I am super happy! Its such a dream come true that I finally get to see and hug her in person.. Although, I am nervous. I'm scared she won't like me.. Do you think she just feels bad for me, is that why she talks to me so much? |

Question: Is it odd that our close friends are 5 years younger? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 09:06 AM PDT My husband and I recently moved from Australia to Chicago for a new job and we are 30. But are close friends we met here are about 24-25 years old. |
Question: Why is he worried about me? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 08:55 AM PDT I'm going to see Gwen stefani this weekend and I told a guy friend I was going. He told me to be careful. I said I was getting ready to go and he went and bought me a giant can that can hold up to a gallon of water. He packed me some granola bars and gave me a cross to wear to be protected by god. My friend called him sweet and he blushed and looked away before saying it was just his duty. I asked why he was worried and he stuttered and said he wasn't worried or anything. He's always been the sweet guy to make me food and to cover me in a blanket when we have group hang outs at a friend's house. He's shy, though. And it just surprises me that he's worried, but why. |
Question: I always feel so shame, why did I feel so shame at this event? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 08:26 AM PDT I went to a football party, and left as soon as I got there because no one talked to me. Everyone started laughing when I arrived. My friend, left me and talked to everyone else. And no one would talk to me. I sat there wishing I could disappear. I left after 15 minutes. I never felt more shame. I clearly wasn't worth talking to. |
Question: Weird social media friend "suggestions"-- anyone have this experience? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 08:18 AM PDT On LinkedIn and Facebook, I get "friend suggestions" from people from my past who have NO connection AT ALL to my e-mail address, phone number or ANY friends in common. I'm finding they're suggesting people like guys who I had ONE date with 10 years ago (before I was even on FB or LinkedIn). There was one dude who I chatted with via Instagram for one week YEARS ago and yet he comes up as a friend suggestion on Facebook - but we have no common friends and he's not in my phone any more as a personal contact..Hmmmm ... My guess is that people from my past are looking me up for their own odd reasons? Just curious since I had NO ties or communication/professional relations by ANY means with many people social media "suggests. It's silly, but has anyone experienced this too? |

Question: What do you say to a girl when she's crying ? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 05:29 AM PDT My friend broke up with her boyfriend last weekend she's really upset she doesn't understand why he left her she thought he loved her. She sees him everyday it's gonna be hard for her. She's pregnant with his baby she didnt do anything to him. I knew it wouldn't work out for them she's only 18 she'll be 19 next month he's in his early 30's maybe 40. She works for him she doesn't know what she'll say next time she sees him or if she should talk to him at all but when they're working she has to talk to him. She's been really upset lately she's been crying. How can I comfort her ? What should I say to her ? |
Question: What do some people talk trash about me after i helped them? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 01:51 AM PDT So basically i like to helping those in need, I helped this family that was kinda poor.I bought them food.i remember one of them starting crying and poring their heart in front of me.they were saying how much they are struggling etc,a few months later i notice they keeping their distance and avoiding me.later i found out they were saying bad things behind my back.like don't trust him or be careful he might betray you.i thought to myself why are saying this ? i never talked bad about them,i don't understand why they are saying these things.so my questions are. why are they saying bad things about me ? what is the purpose of them saying bad things about me ? what do they get out of it ? |
Question: Do we need to help other ethnics? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 01:18 AM PDT not in america. this is a unbalanced country where the people are majority bagots..... the majority are uneducated with a religion that is very notorious for suicide. well there is another ethnic that is more successful but there are being discriminated. this ethnic is helping the economy by providing employment for those bigots. cheap labor? no.... some of these bigots are educated and have a high position in the company. The problem, this ethnic who has been helping are treated injustice. the governor was imprisoned just by saying something wrong. the worst, the gov official sometimes make difficult for the business owners by making a stupid law. like increasing the labor wage (too high). So does this ethnic that is more successful should continue helping the bigots? spelling mistake: bigots....NOT bagots the governor is from the more successful ethnic fantasy? r u nut ? I'm american living in this shitty country. it has been for 15 years |

Question: Did I win this fight? Posted: 26 Jun 2018 11:04 PM PDT Last weekend I fought this guy in my friends backyard (we wore boxing gloves but I didn't think we were playing by the rules) He hit me more than I hit him, but my punches were stronger. His punches didn't hurt at all. I knocked him down 3 times and he didn't knock me down at all. Now my friend who was watching the fight is trying to say that he won just because he got more hits on me. Like why the hell does that matter? We're in a backyard fighting with gloves on, not even playing by rounds, and he's trying to tell me that more hits means he wins. Did I win regardless of what my friend said? |
Question: How can I have a good 4th of July again? Posted: 26 Jun 2018 10:39 PM PDT I'm a 20 year old guy. Growing up, my family had the best 4th of July parties ever. The 4th is my favorite holiday. Always has been. The food, the fireworks, the vibe, it ruled. In recent years though, the magic has disappeared. I've tried to replicate it for years. But I've never been able to do it successfully. Any ideas? Nothing can top what I call my "classic" 4th of July's. |
Question: Did I drink too much? Posted: 26 Jun 2018 10:26 PM PDT This is the second part with more details. I had left school and went to a park. I then shared a four loko, a steel reserve blk beery, and some whiskey in a water bottle with 2 friends. When we left we all went to our homes. I got home drunk and went to sleep (while parents were home). When I woke up I started to vomit and the next day felt like sh!t. I know it was a horrible idea but did I drink to much? I was 14 at the time. |
Posted: 26 Jun 2018 10:04 PM PDT I have been talking to this guy for 2 years and all I know is his first name. He tells me that the company he works for do not allow him to make any contact with families, friends, or on the internet because he deals with finance. He also said he is not suppose to own a phone or computer but only use company phone and computer. He is based in southeast asia. |
Posted: 26 Jun 2018 10:02 PM PDT Recently one of my friends that I have been close to for about a year or two hasn't cared too much about me. She has been asking to hangout all summer and told me how much she couldn't wait to see me yet hasn't reached out and hasn't asked me to hangout and I'm always the one to make the plans. I've reached out to her once and she was up to hanging out so we made plans and then she cancelled last min. I put her on blast on social media because I was aggravated and wasn't thinking. She keep calling me and texting me to see how I am doing but I don't give a **** anymore and have given up. Have I done the right thing of not caring anymore? Or should I say something and apologize for not answering her calls or texts? |
Question: Does my mom have the right to tell me not to miss work again? Posted: 26 Jun 2018 09:27 PM PDT I came back home early last night because I honestly did not feel good. My stomach was hurting and I couldn't eat. Then one of my managers p!ssed me off and tried taking advantage of me making me do thing that I wasn't supposed to do so that was my final straw and I clocked out. My mom told me not to do it again but I feel if I don't feel good then I'm not staying. I'm 20 |
Posted: 26 Jun 2018 09:00 PM PDT my best friend is a year older than me, and is going to college this fall. this summer, it is like she is making no effort to hang out with me before she goes off to school. i understand that this is a busy time for her but it makes me feel like she doesn't care about hanging out or spending any kind of time with me. thanks for any advice |
Question: How do I stop my jealously over my friend meeting my idol? Posted: 26 Jun 2018 08:38 PM PDT My friend recently went to a show and met my idol. I love him literally more than anything and it kinda hurt when she sent me the photo, because she didn't tell me she was going or anything. This, plus other details, lead me to believe that she's purposely trying to beat me to it (she always does this). But I don't want to be mad... how can I stop these feelings? I can't even stop thinking about it and I cry every time I do |
Question: Why would a guy ask a woman why does she take birth control? Posted: 26 Jun 2018 07:26 PM PDT I told this guy who I hookup with every once in awhile. That I had to wait until I get my birth control shot again before I could hookup with him. And he asked me why do I take birth control. I guess he's wondering if I'm having sex with someone else? |
Question: Roomates gf practically living with us? Posted: 26 Jun 2018 06:38 PM PDT My boyfriend and I signed a lease with his best friend who recently had a baby with his gf. She practically lives with us yet hasn't contributed to bills. Our roommate said she will be over a lot more so I feel it's only fair for her to contribute to bills. The biggest issue here is that they are always home. They barely ever leave the house and it's driving me crazy. I dont know what to do about it. Any advice? |
