Question: How can I be at my Best Friends Party without actually being there? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 10:49 AM PDT My best friend and I live in different countries now because of our careers. We haven't seen each other in a year and miss each other a lot! We miss each other on our trips home this year (I fly out the day she flys in). She's having a birthday party while home that I am obviously unable to attend..I am trying to think of something I can do to make her know I wish I was there! I considered sending a cardboard cutout as a joke...but after looking up how much they are its an expensive joke! |
Question: Friend's don't invite me out? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 10:30 AM PDT So the last few times my friends from uni have made plans I haven't been able to go because of work, and the last time they changed plans to a day I could go to one where I wasn't (I don't think this was intentional since another friend they're fond of couldn't go that day either). Two of them live in different cities as myself and two others, but usually they'd plan to all meet up in one city. Today I saw pictures of them all together on Facebook (they didn't post them, they were tagged in them by other people) and they were all out presumably last night or earlier in the week. I had no idea about this and obviously they planned to go out without me, they were all together (all meeting up in one town for this). I haven't even heard from them in the last few weeks either, and I'm pretty hurt about it. Obviously I can't really consider them to be friends now, but I know come term time I'll be around them a lot and I'd personally feel awkward about it. Plus I'll be living with one of them next term. Is there anything I could do about to make it less awkward when I see them again? |

Posted: 21 Jun 2018 10:00 AM PDT i am 21 i love to talk about politics i read a lot of books and watch a lot of documentaries i am intilligent and well educated the problem is that people my age aren't intrested in politics and i have a young, innocent face .. which means i look 18 or so how to make older poeple respect me, have conversations with me and how to be able to actually convince them of some ideas ? |
Posted: 21 Jun 2018 09:45 AM PDT She doesn't clean enough? When she wasn't her we had a reunion and I voted she can stay. My other 2 roomates voted she has to go away. |

Question: Why do guys ignore women in a non-romantic situation? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 07:55 AM PDT Like if you're with a group or mostly guys, and they ignore everything the girl has to say? Is it just a guy thing, or is it because they look down on the woman (not women in general, but that woman) |

Question: Lonely? Depressed or just overreacting? Posted: 21 Jun 2018 01:29 AM PDT Lately I dont want to do anything, all I do is work and come home I never wanna hang out with anyone I've been canceling on my buff for the past 4 months. I guess I can say I'm not too happy in the position I'm at right now. I recently moved to a **** town, could only find a part time job, had to stop school due to moving so much and last but not least... I've been fighting a lot with my husband. I love him to death but he's not the same romantic guy he used to be. I also have severe sciatic pain and due to having a part time job they took my insurance. So I am uninsured and in pain. Sometimes I feel like I'm just stressed with everything going on. Honestly I feel lonely I dont want to talk to anyone because everyone has problems of their own or I dont want to be judged. |

Question: My crush found out I liked him. Help? Posted: 20 Jun 2018 11:11 PM PDT I know the usual advice: he finds out, he ignores you, he's not the man for you, move on. It's not like that though, we work together, we talk, he is like a friend to me. I had a crush on him when I first met him and sure, those feelings have always been there sort of I guess since then, but our current relationship, our friendship I guess, means more to me then that. I like talking to him, I feel like he gets me. I don't want to lose that. He basically found out when someone who used to be really great friends with me, and who I love although we aren't as close anymore, shared a sober driver after a party. She was talking with him, I came up because I'm a mutual friend, and she was calling me cool and stuff and told him I had a little crush on him back before high school or at the beginning of high school (when me and him first met). I found this whole situation out from him, except he wouldn't tell me what she said, he was kind of teasing me about it but wouldn't tell me, and then when I asked if he would tell me over text and texted him he told me that the past was in the past. So I asked her (my other friend) who filled in the blanks. I'm cool with it, I laughed at first. And actually I am loving this because it has given me a chance to reconnect with her. He was his normal self with me today, but now that I know he knows, and that he is gonna know I know soon most likely, I'm scared that will make things awkward and make him difficult to communicate and work with. Help. |
Question: How to become a friend of an introvert? Posted: 20 Jun 2018 10:36 PM PDT I have recently met a boy in uni class and I find him really nice. His and my opinions are similar and we have interest in same subjects. He is shy and introvert. I am an introvert too but if I like someone then I will try hard to become friends with them. I don't know how to become his friend. |
Posted: 20 Jun 2018 10:34 PM PDT I am half way through summer break. I am starting to worry about all the drama that happened the last year of school. My crush rejected me, and told everyone he thought I was trash and because I stared at him he calls me a pervert. I still have horrible dreams about him rejecting me. And I had an old friend that totally forgot me. And now I avoid her because she blew up on me and ignored me because she wanted popular friends :( do you think this drama continued to the next year? All I have to say is middle school sucks lol. If you can, tell me how to not have so much anxiety? |

Question: How can I stop myself from being a bother to someone? Posted: 20 Jun 2018 08:55 PM PDT I graduated 2 1/2 years ago and I never really had any friends growing up. I have 1 best friend but he's been distance due to a girlfriend. Anyways I've recently contacted someone who was a grade below me and we have been hanging out for past 3 or 4 weekends. However now I feel like I'm bothering him because I keep asking him if he has any plans for the weekend. Plus throughout the week when I'm bored at work I text him and always try to strike up a convo. I've been trying to leave him alone for a while but I keep finding myself sending him a random funny picture or tweet I've seen or what ever. So my thing is I finally have another friend but I don't want my loneliness to make it seem like I'm constantly bothering this person. What can I do to stop myself from not being a pain? |

Question: Do I face my fear or run from it? Posted: 20 Jun 2018 08:26 PM PDT I'm 28 years old in a really bad situation two people that I personally know and that are connected through gangsters and hustlers loaned me $40,000 to invest in my start up business. I blew everything off in gambling at first I was winning playing poker (making good returns) then I went to the pit games black jack, baccarat and lost everything on that side. This has been going on since January of 2018 and I've been ducking and dodging these two guys and one of the guys I actually was pretty close with, but now I can imagine he things I'm a p.o.s. I've literally lost everything I got a dui within the past couple months, no car, no place to live, barely any money to survive with I do have a part time job and I am seeking to get another job currently, but time isn't on my side at all what so ever. I know if I had a substantial amount of money I could get the money back, but I have yet to see any type of amounts that I need. I know I should've told them the truth of when I did lose the money but I chose not to and lied and now im currently not replying back to any of there calls or texts. This is the most stress I have ever gone through in my life and I have only myself to blame for this. My friends have been trying to reach out, but I have disconnected myself from friends and family...I just dont want anyone involved in my problem..even though everyone probably already knows. I wanted to just let go of life..but I've put the behind me as of now..run or face? New life? |

Question: Where should I be at financially by 35? Posted: 20 Jun 2018 07:05 PM PDT So I'm on a business trip in Florida for my business I run in the summer when I'm not teaching. I feel like I'm fairly successful for a 30 year old, have a house, car, and able to pay all my bills/taxes and still have some left over to save. Still, I went to a good buddies house tonight and was blown away by just how much of a gap there was between he and I. He is currently 36, but it seems like I may not catch up to that level until I retire. He has a 500k house, super nice cars, and seems to be making money hand over fist. My house is under 100k, I drive a Ford Focus which isn't anything special but gets the job done, and I make just enough to afford a moderate lifestyle in my home state of Ohio. I mean I'm happy and all, but I feel like I'm not even near the level of success as he is and wonder if I will ever even come close to that lifestyle. Don't mistake this for jealousy as I admire and love my friend, it's just I want to know if I'm failing or if he is just a very special outlier. Another difference is party habits seem to be purely based on business whereas I enjoy a good party just for the sake of a good party. He and I both have smoked ganja and drank together, but he does so significantly less and seems to get more of a "lift" from making a good business deal or putting his kids to bed. I am going to try and learn from his example, but I feel that I still wouldn't be anywhere close to his level of success. Sorry for being convuluted and self absorbed. |
Posted: 20 Jun 2018 06:09 PM PDT "Long time no see, how you been doing these days, I'm doing good, now living in the another job, working at another company and am enjoying life in general. Listen I want to apologize for the previous messages I've sent you about me having problems with this particular person I was telling you about a few years ago, I did eventually forgave him for what happened and made amends with him sometime before I've moved, I also learned that I should never try to change myself to impress others and to get them to like me. I also want to apologize for doing something that has caused you to block me on Facebook, the last thing I've meant to do was disrespect you because you're a really nice, cool person who is a lot of fun to be around and I admire your ability of wanting to succeed and to do well in life." In reality this person doesn't know what they did wrong and wants to make amends with his old friend who blocked him on Facebook. |
Question: What should I do for my group of boys for year end? :/? Posted: 20 Jun 2018 06:06 PM PDT Sooooo this group of boys has given me the best semester imaginable, I had such a rough time in highschool before I switched schools and I met this wonderful group of a bunch of boys who are wonderful to me and I love them so much. They are truly amazing. Half way thru the semester I got them some pizzas one lunch just for fun. End of school is Friday for me and so tomorrow I wanted to do something again for them cause some won't be here last day. What should I do? I have about 100 bucks to spend on them. Yes I am spending it on them please don't suggest I should just save it or something. Idk if I should do pizzas again or what, I can have it delivered but I'm just not sure. There's too many boys to take out and do something so I'd prefer it be food just not sure and I'm definitely open to ideas thanks. |
