Weddings: Question: BF bought an engagement ring but wont propose? |
Question: BF bought an engagement ring but wont propose? Posted: 19 Jun 2018 04:39 AM PDT My boyfriend of 6 years bought me a ring. We went to the store together and he showed it to me once the diamond was set and he brought it home. He gave it to me but said it wasnt the actual proposal so I can't tell anyone because he wants it to be a nicer moment. We plan to elope for the wedding since he doesn't like crowds of people so for me the only time I can enjoy the happiness and fun of the process is telling people I am engaged with friends. I am more of an introvert so I don't have a ton of friends. I recently moved on to another job and I am moving a bit away in less than a week. We've had the ring for 3 months and he still hasn't "proposed" officially. He wants it to be a good proposal and such. For me, if he wanted that, he should have done it years ago. I know the moment is supposed to be about "us" but I was hoping to feel a little bit of the limelight with the engagement as superficial as that may seem. So now that I am about to move and not be close enough to share news over a nice lunch or dinner, I feel really bummed. I mean, if you have a great story but no one to tell it to, just feels sad. I can't help feeling overwhelmingly disappointed that I may see my friends once a year now and it is causing fights between him and I. We've gone away to another state to a quick weekend vaca, we've visited waterfalls and had great moments that he didn't propose on. I am not sure what to do, I know I am impatient but this is taking too long. |
Question: How do you picture a cultural/traditional Welsh wedding? Posted: 16 Jun 2018 06:55 AM PDT For me it's exactly like this: -Morbidly obese pig faced (hence ugly) bridesmaids -Mean looking lads in tuxedos -The chubby tattooed bride in her lingerie NOT wedding dress -The roider and alcoholic groom -The "priest" swearing and spitting at the alter -The groom and bride shagging and having sex at the alter -the groom dragging the bride by her hair down the "aisle" -the reception will consist of drinking excessively, brawling....newlyweds, relatives, family, guest all fighting each other. -a few people may get killed. -the wedding ends with a gunshot! -oh and as always there are a few terrified sheep going "please get me out of here!" Ahh....lovely Wales! And by the way, those druid/Celtic weddings are more Scottish, Irish, and rural Engerlish! |
