Question: Co workers making fun of me? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 05:53 PM PDT So I work in retail and I have a co worker who is.. let's say different. She dresses in crazy costumes to work. She also takes her job very very seriously and another thing she does is when we talk, she will switch the subject so randomly so it's hard to have a conversation with her. Everybody at work talks about her behind her back and says mean things about her bc of the way she acts which makes me feel bad. Well awhile she's been asking me to hang out with her. Like go to the mall or work out together. And I don't mind that but my co workers heard her asking me and now they all make fun of me saying "she's lesbian, I think she just wants to work out with you to see you exercise" or "if you hang out with her, she'll consider it a date" So I avoided hanging out with and told her I had errands to run (which is true) and that another time would be good. But she wouldn't stop asking me so yesterday I agreed to meeting up at the mall. My co worker found out about this (I guess she told everyone we hung out) and now everyone is making fun of me saying "aww you two are so cute together" I felt bad for her because she said she had no friends and I was just trying to do the right thing because I know how it feels to have no one to talk to or hang out with. But today was so annoying that people kept bothering me with those comments. I have a boyfriend btw so I'm not lesbian (not that anything is wrong with that) What should I do? Continue hanging out with her or just drop it? |
Question: Do you ever get offended when people ask to see pictures of your loved ones? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 05:52 PM PDT Should I get offended? Like, I was out shopping and I started talking to this lady the other day about a bag. She asked if I was married and when I told her yes she was like "oh really, can I see a pic of your husband"? I don't know why, just didn't sit well with me. Another example was I sat down at a cafe and started talking to a woman about coffee. She brought up how her 15 year old son likes the Hot chocolate and then asked if I had a son or daughter. When I said I had a young daughter, she asked to see a picture. |
Question: Should I go and eat this meal alone? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 05:08 PM PDT I was invited to an "event in the park". Where they setup pick nick tables and things and have a meal and socialize. In the letter they sent me, it states "bring a dessert, and bring a friend". I can bring the dessert but the friend part, I don't have anyone available on that day. |
Question: What does it mean when someone tells me that iam too responsible? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 04:44 PM PDT They said "you need to cut loose, you are too responsible." What are they saying? I don't understand. |
Question: What is a tactful way to tell someone that they should pay you? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 04:16 PM PDT A friend of mine often calls for computer help since I know how to use audio and video converting tools ,Word Document, etc.. I often re-vise and type up her resume, videotape her talking to a camera (she is an actor who does small roles, commercials etc) and I edit and send the video by email , or through "audition websites." I also sometimes fix her laptop when it has mechanical or other problems. She pays me liberally . For example, maybe $100 after I have done several weeks worth of editing and/or fixing for her. Sometimes calls me in the middle of the night when I am asleep and says she needs me to help her with using the computer to send a resume or video clip before a deadline in a few hours, etc. Another friend of mine suggested I tell my actor friend that the kind of video-editing and computer assistance I provide basically free, a professional film editor or computer pro would charge no less than $100 an hour (probably) and that I should tell my actor friend that I would like her to keep track of how many hours of work I do for her so that she can pay me by hours worked and also considering the fact that some of what I do is Tech support and computer-specialist work . I would like to ask all of you this way: If you have been getting high-level computer assistance from someone because that person is a good friend and is nice to you, what would you consider a tactful way for them to ask you to pay them more ? |
Posted: 11 Jun 2018 04:15 PM PDT I've been pretty nervous about calling my friend who I like and asking her to hang out this weekend so I worked up the courage to call and I sounded pretty awkward on the phone but I got my point across and she said yes she wants to hang this weekend and said to just text her. Is it ok that I sounded awkward, I'm not awkward with her in person I just hate using the phone to communicate to people I love being in person |

Question: My friend/FUTURE ROOMMATE didn’t attend my graduation party? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 03:12 PM PDT My friend had her party last weekend and I even gave her $30 with a card. She didnt even go to my party or even say she was busy and I'm just really bummed out on it :( Should I talk to her or is it being selfish of me? I dont even know what I'd say. Question: Should I cut contact with this girl? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 01:40 PM PDT Ill try and get to the point, but heres a little backround. This girl and I have been talking for 6 months now. We hooked up and messed around occasionally. She admitted into liking me right to my face various times. I told her I liked her back too. We went out a bunch of times together and really had a connection. Anyways she went to study abroad for a month (may-june 5th) We go to the same school btw. So we kept in contact as much as we could when she was away. The last week she was there she sent me a drunk text saying how she was drunk and that I need to be there to take care of her. Since that text she went pretty cold. She got back last tuesday and I gave her a call on wednesday and she didnt pick up and told me that shell call me tmrw. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday all past without even hearing from her. And friday was my birthday. Anyways she texted me this yesterday: "Hey!!! Belated birthday!! I can't believe I forgot to call. I remember Friday and the day before and I said ok I gotta call him but since my sister and aunt arrived everything's been so crazy here and I'm still tired and jet lagged from Europe so I pretty much sleep all day and now that they are here I'm always doing something. Anyways, I really hope you spent your day nicely. I really feel bad :( Let me know when I can call you" She called me too before that text but I was busy. I texted her back and hr later saying how its all good and stuff and we can talk tmrw but she hasnt even responded back |
Posted: 11 Jun 2018 12:24 PM PDT I've been recently added on facebook by my former classmate of high school Rachel. She and I both graduated high school in 2005,then she went to college in another state while I joined the Marines. We tried to keep in touch but that was 2005 or 2006 and facebook wasn't used by many people,so we texted each other for a while and then well,we just parted our ways. Less than a year after being on my senior prom with her (we were both sinlge and went there as friends) I was on a foot patrol in Al Anbar province,Iraq when I got hit by an IED. I lost my right ankle. For a while we just chatted on facebook but then she asked me to have coffee with her next week. I'm single, she's single and for me it's just coffee with an old friend, maybe it will be something more, maybe not. She doesn't know (At least I don't think she knows) that I lost my ankle in Iraq and now I have a prosthatic ankle. Here's the option: 1) I show up there with short pants and then I tell her about it. 2) I show up in long jeans and don't mention her anything at all and if she asks me why I walk slowly I tell her I just fell off my bike or something. It's just I don't want her to pity me. I don't want her to look at me like I'm this poor baby, I hope you get my point. Advice? |
Question: I wasnt supposed to sleep over at my bfs? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 12:09 PM PDT im 15 a nd hes 16 hes only older by a month. This weekend i stayed at his place- it was completely innocent. Question: Do we have a good boss or a bad boss? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 11:33 AM PDT I work in an office with 12 other women. A employee from another department Mindy was transferred to our department. To say she was beautiful would be an understatement. She was gorgeous. If there ever was a trophy girlfriend/wife she would be it. At first we all did not like her as we thought our boss Bob, a 29 year old single guy would give her all the choice assignments. That didn't happen. He treated her just like the rest of us. No better and no worse. We also started to like her as she was such a nice person. One day we had a staff meeting and Mindy was not there. We asked Bob if he noticed that Mindy was beautiful. He said all my employees were beautiful. WOW, he is good. Someone ask him if he would like to date Mindy. He said he was not allowed to date anyone that worked for him. He said, can you imagine the gossip that would start if I dated someone that worked for me. Another one of us, Linda asked Bob if he would date her if she did not work for him. He said "We have a date the first day you don't work for me". All of us are wondering the same thing. Is it possible for a single guy can resist dating such a beautiful woman? Could they be dating in secret? What do you think about what our boss is saying. Is he a good boss or a bad boss? |
Question: Is she straight? Or is this bicurious? Any advice? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 11:10 AM PDT My best friend and I are both females and we are 20. When we are alone we cuddle and she will put her hand on my stomach underneath my shirt or will hold my hand. She will lay on top of me and when we talk we will be close like nose to nose. She stares at my eyes and lips and we will kiss eachother but it's only a peck. I asked her what this means and she is straight and says she likes guys she just thinks I'm pretty and she likes my body. We dont do anything sexual besides a boob grab or she rubs my thighs and grabs my butt. She always says if she was gay we would be dating by now but she loves me so much. What does this mean? |
Question: Is this a red flag (friendship)? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 09:56 AM PDT My friend complained about how my crush doesn't make an effort to see me lately, he has made an effort, I don't make an effort to see him cause I'm busy with work. My friend only hangs out with me once or twice a year. I asked her to do something she says she's "busy". I asked her where is her effort to see me and she didn't answer my text. Is that a red flag in our friendship? |
Question: Should I call this girl today or Wednesday? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 09:51 AM PDT Today is Monday should I call my friend who I like today or Wednesday to ask to hang out on the weekend. I feel like if I call today on Monday I'd seem desperate but Wednesday would be closer to the weekend and I wouldn't seem desperate |
Posted: 11 Jun 2018 09:51 AM PDT Hi I was in a friendship with someone and am unable to avoid her as she lives two doors from me. I discovered she is toxic by the things that she did to me. In the beginning she was full on it was strange and then suddenly she just discarded me and acted like I was a bother to her. While I was in the friendship she said she felt lucky and how much we were alike but there were things that left me cold. She would go into rages and just unload and complain. Dont´get me wrong at times she was fun to be around. But she also started talking about a friend she had and I had just met. She would criticise her and it just confused me. I became good friends with this other girl, she had a very traumatic experience and I did not want to upset her in any way. I am not one to tell or talk behind anyones back I just don´t like it. I became quite ill and gave this toxic friend another chance but there was just no way. She was sarcastic and defensive when I asked her if everything was ok as people go through things. But she was gloating and joyful?? I backed away from her slowly I just could not go through anything stressful anymore. I have a heart condition. I am still friends with her and she just calls me when she wants something, she is very cold and never thanks me. But I have become strong in that i know what to expect. Am I wrong to stay in communication with her for the way she criticises our mutual friend? I tried going no contact before but I don´t know what happened tbh. |
Posted: 11 Jun 2018 09:41 AM PDT I realize that these people thrive and feed on people" liking "their pictures and posts. Do you find these people to be "cool" or do you find them to be annoying ? |
Question: Will facebook terminate our accounts for this? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 09:33 AM PDT Me and another user (guy I met in a web cam site) were private messaging eachother really explict dirty talk on facebook. Does youtube monitor private messages? If they do would they terminate both our accounts? We're not bothering anyone and we're both over 18. We also send eachother personal contact info, pics and links to porn sites. I know youtube is not that type of site so I was wondering if we're not allowed to do that |
Question: What is the name of this John Mulaney skit? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 05:49 AM PDT It's the one where he's talking about getting into a car accident and going into an "investigation" and obsesses over it for months. Anyone know the name? |
Question: How can I stop hating socially awkward people? Posted: 11 Jun 2018 12:43 AM PDT They make me nervous and then I get nervous then it's even more awkward . I usually take it personally and think that they don't like me. In several of my jobs in my personal business, I have lost pretty much all of my socially awkward clients because I cannot connect with them and I honestly just don't like them, but all the extroverted and nice ones really like me and I really like them . But this isn't good. I get along great with people who can at least hold a conversation and smile but I just think it's wrong to not smile at someone if they say hi to you and to not be engaged with them. Again I take it personally and don't know how to connect with them How can I connect better with socially awkward people and stop disliking them so much? ( Sidenote, I used to be socially awkward in my past and perhaps that's why I don't like these people because it reminds me of the person I don't ever want to be again. Not that it matters just some background info) |

Question: So-called friend always leaving me out...what should I do? Posted: 10 Jun 2018 08:59 PM PDT My "friend" has a habit of making plans with her other friend (s) pretty much in my face or when I'm within earshot, and not even bothering to ask me if I'd like to come along too. Towards the end of last semester, I'd mentioned wanting to go to The Cheesecake Factory to celebrate the semester being over; then a couple days later, I happened to open the refrigerator to see a to-go box from there. When I playfully asked her about it, she said that the previous night, she and some friends "just ended up there". Then just last night, when I was pretty much within earshot, she and her friend "L" (the three of us are living together for the summer) decided to go get pizza together w/o bothering to ask me if I'd like to join, when just 2 or 3 days ago I suggested getting pizza for dinner because no one felt like cooking, but we ultimately didn't get it. And every time she does this, it's like she tries to lower her voice so I *won't* hear their plans, making them feel obligated to ask me if I want to come too (which is also the reason why I don't "invite myself"). Always going to the grocery store without me when I need to go as well; I'll mention groceries, then go to work the next day for 8 hrs., come home, then a couple hours later they come through the door with hands full of grocery bags, leaving me to have to spend money on Lyft to get to the store while she gets rides for free with "our" friend. She could've texted me and asked if I wanted to go when I got off... |
Question: What does it mean when he said he wants me all to himself? Posted: 10 Jun 2018 08:28 PM PDT I'm speaking for a friend. He's a married man but he wants my friend all to himself. He's willing to help her out financial. And oh yeah he's been stalking her social media for years even before he gotten married. |

Question: Want to go out, but I have no friends? Posted: 10 Jun 2018 07:28 PM PDT I just graduated college, and I realize that I have no real friends now. I pretty much unintentionally abandoned all of my friends while I was in school because I was always studying in order to graduate with a 4.0 grade average. The few friends that I made while I was in college were from out of state, so now they have moved back home. I will start working in July, but most of the people I will be working with are older, so it will be difficult to actually go out with them. What are some things I can do in order to meet new people? |
