Posted: 02 Oct 2017 05:46 PM PDT I had a report do in my Science class and I thought I had gotten it done but my teacher said I hadn't so I kept insisting I had and so she pulled up the assignment. It showed I had done one assignment but not another one, when I had not been aware there was another one assigned. She proceeded to call me a liar in front of two different classes full of students and only made it worse when she saw I was about to start crying. I made a mistake and now I'll always be labeled as a liar. I tried to explain myself but if I even tried she'd cut me off. She even went as far as contacting my mom to tell her I was "constantly" lying to her (this was the first time I've ever "lied" to her anyways) I don't know what to do. Now she hates me and my mom is mad at me for something I didn't even do. I'm already so close to breaking and I can't handle this on top of everything else. It's barely the start of the year and I don't want to deal with it. She's always making condescending comments towards me and is just really rude when I'm just the shy quiet girl in the back of the room. What am I supposed to do? |

Background on me: I was a honor roll student, in a Frat with some of the best friends I ever made, worked as a bank teller during school and loved the social aspect of it, and am currently living with two college friends. After college, I received a good paying job with a phenomenal company and fun coworkers. But after 5 months in this position I found out that: the job has extremely limited growth, is insanely easy to the point where I'm just bored, & there is a lot of tension among the people on my team. I've come to realize that ****-talking really is just a part of life, I don't think I've been part of a group that doesn't do it, and that's made my anxiety soar with fears that people are talking behind my back (obnoxious problem for a 22 year old to have). Along with this, most of my close friends and family are back home (I moved to the city where the college was located) and many of my college friends have either moved or can seldom hang out. I realize I should be grateful for the opportunities I've been given, and that things are by no means horrible. I've even taken measures to better my life; after about 5 years I've quit smoking, quit my college habit of binge drinking, I've been going on dates, and have made efforts to coordinate plans with friends and coworkers. I just feel like there's a lot missing from my life, and that there's so much more I could be doing |

It really bothers me to see them hanging out with other friends because it feels like I'm being abandoned or traded down in favor of someone else. Logically I know it's terrible to deny someone the opportunity to have other friends, and I realize this; that's why I'm trying to change my subconscious mindset. My best friend and I meet every morning in the same place before classes and this morning she wasn't there so I sat alone waiting for classes to begin, and when I asked her where she was she said she was hanging out with another friend. I was more hurt by the fact that she didn't give me a heads up that she wasn't going to be there. And then I started wondering who this "friend" was and if she was a threat to our friendship before I realized "What am I thinking? She's allowed to have other friends." Thinking about it almost 5 years later makes me really sad cause it was about a girl we both wanted. I lost 10 years of friendship (I've known him since we were 9 yo) over a stupid girl. In january 2013 we had a huge fight cause we had gone to a party with my truck then when the party was over he brought along this girl he knew I had a crush on and they were all kissing in my truck on our way back home. I dropped him off and at first I wasn't even that mad and I told him "what the hell dude,you knew I like her,why would you do that?" but then he told me she had chosen him so I had no rights to be offended. Next day he texted me he didn't want to be friends with me anymore. About a month later I tried to make ammends but he didn't want to hear from me. This hasn't changed so far. It has been almost 5 years. During those years we never talked each other and despite living in a small town I've basically never saw him again. We have a mutual friend that he sees on regular basis. I tried asking our mutual friend to say something to him but he says he minds his own business. Point is miss my old friend and when I was in Afghanistan in early 2014 and I got hit by an IED while on my humvee,I thought it was over. And the only one I thought about in those seconds besides my family was him and how I'd died without getting to make peace with him. So bottomline is: is it possible to make peace with a friend after 5 years? How? |

We chatted a lot via FB messanger and she used to always stand up for me when my family would put me down or other friends would try to take advantage of me. I even sent her money twice ..just because I know she helps so many ppl and was so greatful for her friendship . She never asked me for anything and even tried to give the money back but I insisted . Well the last week I see she's online but she's not responding to any of my messages. I've sent her about 20 messsges in the last week trying to start conversations like usual but she just ignores them. Then I heard her saying I'm really annoying and boring and kinda slow to not get the hint that she's not responding because she just doesn't really like how needy I am and that she's sick of hearing me talk about my mission trips (it's my dream to take mission trips ) and thst I'm stupid because I 'give money away' then post a go fund me page for the trip . It's true I can't manage money well but that's one thing she always told me she didn't judge me for . I'm very hurt and wonder why she can't just be direct w me rather than just ghosting me then bitching to others about me. |

But during the convo, he somehow mentioned that he'd gone on an interview for a job, which I ignored bc I could care less about that at the time. Then after a few minutes he said that he was on his way to church. So we got off the phone. Then he texted a few times checking on me the next week. I understand that people text a lot these days. But for something so serious and painful as my father passing, I would think that a true friend would actually call to check on me, instead of just texting. That's what I would do. So now I'm just fed up bc on top of that, he's said a lot of ignorant stuff over the years which has left me wondering why I'm friends with him at all. He's nice but says ignorant stuff, doesn't have a sense of humor and never has solid advice when I need it. Plus, recently he called and left a msg saying that he's checking on me but mentioned several other things he needs advice on. To me, he was using "checking on you" as an excuse to talk about himself. Am I making too much of the texting thing? Should I just let this friendship fade away? |

I went to turn the thermometer up and the switch had been moved all the way down! My roommate was not there all day when I asked her about it. Our things had been moved as well. Our comforters were crumbled into balls, and boxes of our stuff was moved around. When I got there the door was unlocked as my roommate had forgotten to lock it after she left. I've tried to cut these people off, by making a new Twitter account, but they somehow found my new one, causing me to delete that too. Now I've just left Twitter altogether, but these people have made me extremely paranoid. They have pictures of me, videos of me, know my full name as well as my mother's full name, they also know my birthplace and a rough idea of where I live. They haven't specifically said they're going to do anything, but I'm just really on edge that they might. I know it's kind of far away since it's only October now, but it's her golden birthday so I want to make it special! Her family doesn't celebrate birthdays in general but they made an exception for this year. I am thinking about 4 girls as of now (excluding me and her; so 6 total). None of us are allowed to have sleepovers since our parents are kind of over protective, BUT we are allowed to stay late at someone's house. Posted: 02 Oct 2017 10:04 AM PDT Do you think it is a waste of time if your whole/most of the convo is gossiping and not talking abt serious issues, like current affairs? Not bragging about being serious btw and hence I'm asking this question just to get different perspectives. What is good about small talks? I usually start off with small talks to get to know/update each other but after around 3 replies I go extensively into more serious stuff, maybe start from what they have said (aka follow-up questions). Oh, and it can still be relaxing, depending on your mentality. Also, when first meeting someone, I am afraid of asking questions that are too personal after some time, so I tend to ask some "world" issues, or at least not personal. Are there any small-talk senpais who can teach me how to small talk but not gossip because I've tried and bored them off? |

So we've been friends since 2nd grade, and she's always been super happy and just a really great person to be around. Then in 7th grade, ever since I starting hanging out with other people instead of her she just had this sad look on her face because now she doesn't really have any friends. I was her only friend. Everyone else bullies and picks on her. At lunch I offered her to sit with us and she did but then 20 minutes later when I was done talking with my other friends she was gone and sitting alone somewhere else. A few days we were walking by the boys locker room and one of them tapped the other girls and told her to push me in there. It was a miracle that he survived. He is currently in a brace & obviously has very limited mobility. He wouldn't let me see him in the hospital. I was understanding. He's been home a few weeks now and is going back to work. I've messaged him again & he rejected. So I left it alone for a while. Then his sister invited me over. He pretty much avoided me the whole time & left to his room. Like I said he went through something tramatic & I understand he wants space/recovery time but he seems to be singling me out among his friends (when it comes to visiting/hanging out , etc.) I don't mean to sound selfish, I am/was just really worried about him and want to talk, see how he is. Posted: 02 Oct 2017 06:19 AM PDT the first time i came in was for the interview. as i was waiting for the manager. i was talking to the girl workin at the bar. it was almost no customers around the time i was there. we chatted and i could tell she was naturally an open person with a bubbly personality, is how i call it. on saturday i walked in to start my shift. as i came in, the manager and the girl from the bar were walkin out the kitchen as they were talking. when she saw me she said "hey!" and stuck her arm out to try and hug me but i shook the manager's hand, then she bent down a bit and wrapped her arms around my waist for a second. then i rubbed my arms on her back. she giggled as she walked over to the bar. after my shift was over that evening. i high 5'ed her as i passed the bar. i was rushing out, and as i walked away she said "we gotta go out dancing" or something of that sort about us dancing. i wasnt exactly sure as i was walking off as she said that. i replied with "ok for sure" as she said that. i just dont know if she's attracted to me or just being friendly. i know she's an open person, but i think she is more with me than the other employees there. she is greek and quite attractive. but how she is towards me as a person is really turning me on. she's so cute and feely/touchy and i love it |

We hardly ever see eachother anymore but I still I feel that's normal since we're both busy in our lives. I told her about my baby shower over a month ago and she said the date would work for her. Last week she texted me asking if she could come early to see me because she has a surprise party to go to and won't be able to stay for the whole baby shower. I was bummed but fine with it. Anyways 2 hour before my shower was going to start I get a message saying she's not coming cause "her dog has a tick". Needless to say I'm pissed. How should I React to this? |

I dislike smilimh faces or happy people. Im also starting to hate anyone under 25 now, i hate family gatherings and i sit by myself at lunch at work while my old friends wonder why. | Posted: 02 Oct 2017 02:39 AM PDT I remember about from 2007-2013 I had this large group of friends, girls and guys, 10 of us in total, we would always text , went to concerts, we were so close because we all lived close and went to school together, the love triangles, jokes, funky memories, and all of us were with each other, now 2012-2013 is when we all started kinda slowing down being with each other, (we had moved from different houses but still in same area) but we would always go to this park even when we first started hanging out, now, I've lost all of them, we all just stop casually talking, not to mention we all work jobs that allow us to be off for 3 days, we don't text and when I try to text one of them they never reply, i remember my entire group of friends and family were waiting on me to come home and all scream happy birthday, had a great party and the entire house was fulled, now I'm the loneliest forgot about guy ever, I love alone in my apartment and don't even have a pet, so I'm literally alone, tried getting a girl but each one of them flirt with others, but even if I did that wouldn't take my mind of these past memories,I get nostalgic every time I drive past this park as I felt loved , and wasn't lonely at all, how can I get over all this ? (I will not give out her name for privacy purposes) She was bad on drugs during this time of her life. she went to rehab and has been clean for 15 years and doesnt do adult movies anymore. Anyway I have been out getting drinks with her at this local bar and as we get closer and closer I am beginning to forget about the entire porn star thing. She is a great person and left her old life behind she is a renound christian baptist. She has been saved and is whole new person. I have been noticing that whenever I ask buy her a drink she doesnt mind paying which is totally cool. We usually take turns paying the bill at the bar but majority of the time I pay. I am thinking about moving in with her and her daughter who is 8 years old. I am a former nascar driver who is suffering from injury and I collect 1.2 million a year from nascar. | Question: I got my phone taken away :')? Posted: 02 Oct 2017 12:08 AM PDT I deserved it, I really did! I know I should focus on my studies more and i will. Of course I know what I did was wrong, but I am feeling a bit guilty. Im a highschool sophomore, and I have an internet friend who I met on a game when we were like, 9 or 8. We had a meetup three years ago in California two times, and damn it was fun. Saturday, which was two days ago was her birthday but since I got my phone taken away I wasnt able to wish her a happy birthday :( Theres no way I can contact her now. Im not asking HOW I can get my phone back, but HOW I can make it up to her. I was pretty heart broken realizing I couldnt be there for her birthday. Shes like a sister to me, and shes my best friend. I tried telling her that the only reason I'm upset is bc he lead me on & used me & I didn't want the same thing to happen to her (he's the type of guy to talk to numerous girls at once). anyways we got into a fight earlier today and she ignored me all day only sent one long message a little bit ago going off on me bc she's really mad. I suck at giving ppl space when they're mad and I dont want to lose her. any advice on how to give her space and handle this situation?? |

My crush lost interest in me and became lil mean, many new bullies came to school and I got bullied too which made me take mma classes in the summer and studying was so hard but at least I had my best friend with me. Now i'm 17 in 11th grade,half of bullies in school left, my crush have forgot my existence, my best friend is now hanging with other people and I have took mma classes for 3 months and it's the 3rd week in school and I already had 2 fights which actually made few bullies leave me alone but now everytime I go to school I have lot of anger in me and waiting till someone tries to bully me so I can beat him up.
