They both are against joining the army(neither want to fight, and they both said they don't want ptsd from it). I have had them both home schooled for 8 years, when they are done with home school next year I plan on kicking them out. I already feel very creepy being seen with them based on how old they are, I don't care at this point if they get hurt on the streets. I am not a "troll"(someone called me this) I am just a fed up father. I got angry that both my kids refused to walk 15 miles(5 hours twice a day) to go to town to look for work and to work 8 hours at a job. Since they refused that I ripped up the birth certificates and ssn's. Since, I do not plan on letting them go to college(my income determines that until they are 25 and I do not want to support their careers). And since I do not want to get them driving lessons, or teach them so they can find work and drive to it, the army is basically their only choice and they refuse to go. What do you think?

Lately my brother been so rude my family and gotten out control I don't know what is he went from regular brother to out control angry brother and I been hearing some things I'm not that happy about I think he nervous because I had another fall and broke my elbow In Three places and torned 2 legments and had surgery I been doing a lot better he dosent like it how some of his buddies and co workers check on on me to see how I am doing when I find it very nice , I don't get why he flipped out at that he got in to graduate school and some of the medical students in graduate school is scared of him so is some of pt and permedic students . Like why is he like this ? It so upsetting

My mom and I have always had a rocky relationship, and I've realized it more as I've become a teenager (I'm 16). I know she always has to be "right" and "win" conversations. I won't say I've never had an attitude with her, but if I ever make some little smart remark or even just a statement she misunderstands she replies with something like "oh there you go again, always having to be right" or "don't you start again with me". I know, this all seems like it's a me problem, that she's just trying to get me to be respectful, but it doesn't end there. Even if I make one remark she will go on and on for up to 30 minutes or an entire car ride to school about how I am terrible and that if I act this way then nobody will want to be my friend or I won't have any friends. Then she will compare me to my other siblings and I just feel bad about myself when she does this. Next she'll say that I get this from my dad (they are divorced) and that he always has to be right and she'll get off topic and will criticize him. (fyi I don't talk while she's like this) Then I'll have to go to school in a bad mood wondering what I've done wrong. My other family members realize she is like this so I don't think it is just me or all in my head. I would go into more detail but I only have so much space to write this. I'm just so tired of always being talked down to and really want to know if this is normal and my fault, or if something unusual is happening.. Thanks.

I'm 13. I have 4 older siblings. Oldest is 24. I've had this longing lately for a little sibling. And I don't understand why. My parents are 50, and 53. So I don't think it's going to happen. But my friends mom is pregnant and she is 47. She is having a boy in January. Honestly I probably am a little jealous because I love kids so much and I've wanted a little sibling forever. But I don't know how to make this absence go away. I'm the youngest in my entire family including cousins. Besides my second cousins kids. But they live very far away. My fiancé and I live in Provo Utah, my fiancé moved here to get away from him s abusive amd toxic family. His saint of a mother moved to Utah to be near her only sane son after she was bought out from her home by his father. My fiancé and I love each other but his dad said that if he and I move back to Nashville he'll lease us a place to stay and he can get treated at several cancer treatment centers, I could get a job working in either Nashville or a surrounding town but his dad is abusive and his brother is mentally ill, so much to the point to where he had a double amputation for no reason. My fiancé has Chronic leukemia and I'm terrified about his health right now. His mother amd I are trying to convince my fiancé to stay in Utah because it might not be perfect but he'll be in a loving environment opposed to being with his dad and brother? How should I go about this. I want to provide more information in Utah we have the Huntsman cancer research institute, while in Nashville there is St. Thomas and Vanderbilt. I don't know what to do.

Ok so I am the only one that works and pays for everything.. Just saw on CNN that a 8.0 or higher quake is getting ready to hit LA. My sister and her infant son live there. She said "they've been saying that since Mom was little" but that was true of New Orleans being hit by a big hurricane and then it happened. If she dies my Mom won't go on living even though she will be physically alive. My Mom has said this for years since our cousin died and my Dad's sister (the mother of the cousin) stopped living life and made her kids suffer with her. How do I get my sister to GET OUT so she doesn't die and so our mother doesn't stop living and make me stop living with her? I am very-very worried about this. She is right in LA and we are safe where we live in northern Ohio as no disasters here other then Blizzards and we can prepare for those. I don't want her to die but I also don't want to have to stop living life at Mom's rules if she does die. She lives there because she was an alcoholic which Mom says is a disease and so my sister got help after my Mom did something called an intervention. I'm 13 turning 14 this month. My mom wants to send me to my father because she says my ADHD and teenage ways are too much. I got diagnosed with ADHD in 2013, and I have trouble in school, but haven't gotten a F on my report card. I get distracted a lot and when I get distracted my mom spanks me or hits me. And my mom refuses to give me ADHD treatment/drugs. When I get distracted with my homework, my mom asks, "How far are you?" And if I'm not very far, my mom hits me or spanks me. I don't want to live with my father because he cheats on woman, has been arrested four times, hits me, has three kids he doesn't claim, and has six kids in total. I get made fun of by people who have something that i dont but when i do get it or something that I want, they get mad and try to ruin it for me. I hate my mom. I'm 14 years old and I know I must sound like a brat when I say this, but people are shocked when they see how my mom acts towards me. She gets mad at the smallest things and yells at me and pulls my hair. One time she pulled my hair so hard a large chunk came out. She also slaps, hits and pinches me. My mom and dad were together 22 years. My mom is my best friend. People say that she's my 'twin' because we look alike and we are so much alike. Like I get my sense of humor from her, we like the same things. I just love her so much. My dad cheated on my mom. And before that, the four of us (my parents, my brother and I) were close. When he did that to her and my mom found out, it ruined my mom's life. She kicked my dad out of the house and she was a mess. At first she took off from work and wouldn't get out of bed. And when she went back, she would come home from work, put her pjs off, and just lay in bed watching movies. I sat with my mom and listened to her cry about how much she loves my dad and why did he do this to her? My dad tried to win her back and say he was worry. My dad came from another country a little less than 2 years ago. However, I had already been helping him financially 6 years before that. He moved in with me and promised to get a job to help me cover the expenses in the house. 6 months passed and nothing. Besides, every time I asked him to help around the house he always complained about his body. There was always something wrong with his body. I decided to get him a job myself. He started working but was upset at me. He worked for 4 months, saved the money and moved with a woman. I guess the relationship didn't work so he begged me to come back. Quite simply my younger brother is a spoiled little brat. My parents have given him everything he ever points his finger at and they walk on egg shells around him. It has lead him to become jealous and entitles. When something is not about him he all of a sudden develops a depression. Recently I got married. The week before the wedding was all about him. It was about him being depressed, it was about where he was going to sit. On the actual wedding he basically spent the entire night in the parking lot arguing with his girlfriend. All my closest friends and family were part of some sort of speech. I know speeches are not his thing but he wasn't even there to hear them. He hasn't even gotten my wife at least a wedding gift. I try to call him once in a while to check up on him but he calls me maybe once or twice every year. Usually around my birthday and around his birthday to thank me for his gift. I'm an 18 year old female. I study and I've got a job at the same time. I live with 2 other girls in a small house in a poor town. We pay for the house that we've rented together and we think that we share this responsibility fairly. I have a poor life, but I'm happy. Before, leaving my family I felt really depressed. My parents always fought for ridiculous things. My brother patronised me. I wished to die as sooner as possible. Now, the problem is that my brother keeps asking me for money (he's 29 years old!). I once gave him some money, but now, I really don't have enough money to give him. My mom called me and she told me that I'm cruel and inhuman for not giving my older brother some money. My sons 17 year old girlfriend gave birth just 8 days ago. Long story short, she lives with us after being kicked out by her parents when they found out she was pregnant. I can see that she's struggling, yet she won't ask for help. She hasn't got out of bed since getting home from the hospital and won't really allow anyone into her room, besides my son. My son told me that the reason she didn't want anyone in the room is because she didn't have any nursing bras or tops and was having to show a lot more skin than she wanted to, so I brought her all the clothing she needs... No change. I check on her a couple of times per day but she will always just tells me she's fine. I know for a fact that barely eating and this is because she's stressed. I've told her multiple times how important it is that she does eat because she's recovering and also breastfeeding, but she hasn't taken my advice! I've tried sitting down and talking to her, I've tried to help her wherever I can (without overstepping) but she honestly just seems miserable. She has everything she needs and full support from my husband and I, I don't know what more we can offer her. Anyone have any ideas?

My sons baby mama is a bitter little girl and just mad that he's moved on and has a new girlfriend. She keeps the baby away from me and my son and it's not right! I want to see my grandson! She dosent drop him off anymore for my family to see him and got mad at my son because he said he wasn't getting the baby because he was tired and had to work. I usually never go out because i have an anxiety, panic and depression (diagnosed) but I recently started going out after i met somebody (I'm 25, she is almost 22) We've been together for 5 years long distance and we met about 2 weeks ago. We had a fight 2 days ago and she started hitting his head. I had a panic attack and called my parents and told them i was scared. I kept crying and they told her to leave and called her an abuser (even though she didnt touch me or say anything mean and didnt yell at me, just hit herself and stomped around) She has no where to go now, since she lives in a different country and she travelled to Australia to see me. My mum called my cousins who threatened to bash her head in for her and she ran away. She is staying in a hostel now until she can figure something out. I went out with her all day yesterday from 1pm to 9pm since she is no longer allowed in my house and my parents put some sort of restraining order against her. I told my parents where i was earier in the day but for some reason I wasnt recieving texts from them which was unusual. When I got home police were there and my parents told me they had filed a missing person's report. They keep telling me that my partner is abusing me because she uses a lot of my money (shes from a poor family) and stomps and his herself. I find it strange because my dad has actually hit my mum and i in the past and called us names but yet they call my partner an abuser.

being their aunt. Yes there is a lot of positive about things about being aunt & all, but my nephew & niece & I live with my parents along with their mom & their other aunt. First they talk back to me a lot. Not just talk back, but they seem to have a strong dislike towards me always & talk really rude or grown for their age. Second they destroy my room or things. Third they hit me sometimes my niece has even thrown things at me. Yes I will admit I dislike more for this. When I tell my sister she tries to make them listen sometimes or times she will ignore it. When I correct them my sister calls it mean. My sister and I don't have the best relationship. No matter how many toys, spend time with them. It doesn't seem to work. This is starting to become draining. Most days I honestly don't want to be around them because they make me miserable. I also work with children in preschool, daycare, and currently work with children now. I never had child disrespect me this much. I don't have any children yet, but want some. I really children. What can I do to change our relationship. Also my parents try to help, but it doesn't seem to work. I am starting to dislike being around them & my sister because she lets the behavior continue. Someone who's younger should't tell anyone what to do. And when we're out for some reason she walks super fast like not wanting to be around me or my mom when we're in public. Like wtf is up with that? Im 5 years older a big brother and 24 years old. WHO TF do she think she is? Like she think she's a leader or something I swear i just wanna slap the ish out of her!

Hi! My name is Edward and I'm 17 years old. I live in Puerto Rico and we've just been hit by 2 Category 5 Hurricanes. (I am not kidding, look it up). Irma passed 30 miles north of San Juan so she only softened us but Maria was a direct hit and we are in a Humanitarian crisis. I live with my dad, my mom, my brother, and a few pets. We have an emergency generator, but we are running out of moneyfor fuel. The big problem is that my dad is an alcoholic with no priorities that wants to have the generator on the whole day. He says the whole day that we need to conserve fuel but every night when it's time to conserve fuel (and drunk), he wants to leave it on. We have tried talking to him and he agrees, but when he gets drunk he's a totally different person.

Question: My son has been acting up in school alot and Im concerned if maybe he has some problems at home could be the cause or if it s a normal thing?

My little boy is almost 6 and in kindergarten and has been having a few days where he acts up like disobeying the teacher and occasionally is kind of mean to other kids but is also doing really well with his work he wants to learn and is scoring well above average on every quiz they give the kids to see how they do. I m his dad and me and his mom haven t been together since he was about 3. His Mom has physical custody and I get him weekends so I don t know what kind of home life he has been having but I do know his mom got a job working nights a few months ago and he hasn t really been able to spend any time with him at all other than when she puts him on the bus and on the days she has off he always comes to my house or she sends him to her mom s (it was alot while he was on summer vacation). I know where he is so young he probably doesn t understand that she has to work that schedule and with me that I was only allowed weekends unless we agree on something else when I got joint custody that was what we set. I don t mean to seem like I m trying to point blame at his mom I m just saying what I have seen when I was young my parents were divorced and in and out of jail and I had alot of issues as well. If someone s kid has had similar problems and have any ideas if his home life could really be what s wrong or if it could be something else or a phase I could really use the advice I just want him to be happy and never want him to have to feel the way I did

I was never in a relationship with her mother and recently met my daughter at age 3. I have seen her three times now. The reason for the question is I have another daughter with my gf and is also pregnant, due in two weeks. So, my gf gets super jealous when I go over because I have to spend time with the mother. My gf wants me to do visitation through state so I don't have to be alone with the mother. I tried to ask her how long I need to do visits for before I can take her on my own (my gf's idea), but the mother said usually people only get one hour instead of two or three. The mother wouldn't let me bring my gf to the visit or my daughters step sister. I'm not sure what to do, I have to see my daughter now that I've met her and I'm not leaving my gf. But she gets very over excited everytime I come back. Please help. I need advice.

I was offered a job and i accept it. I told the new employer that i would start in two weeks. I decided a day later that i wanted to stay at my current employment. She said fine and hung up in my face. Today i received a letter saying i was terminated. How so if i never started

Yesterday, a cousin of mine who's 2 years younger than me got married; she's the daughter of my dad's brother. The MOH was her older sister who happens to be a very pretty girl. The wedding was distant so just about all of the guests, including my nuclear family stayed in a hotel. The dance floor happened to be in the middle of the room during the reception. Shortly after I had my picture taken with other people, I randomly stood somewhere. A creepy guy who was probably in his late 50s to mid 60s went up to me and persuaded me to go dance. To get him off my back, I went to the dance floor and tried to copy the others to not look like a fool. Later on when I was still dancing, he went up to the edge of the dance floor and nagged me to dance closer to the others. So, I did. I asked my mom who that guy was when I was back at my table. She said that it was the bride's mom's cousin's husband, Ron. After the reception, the guests were invited to the hotel's bar for drinks. I went down about a half hour after my parents left. After arriving, I saw my mom sitting at a table; Ron happened to be sitting next to her. Their table's only empty seat was on the other side of him. He beckoned me. After I sat down, he offered me pizza and kept talking to me. He kept asking me questions about myself and told me a few things about himself. I felt really uncomfortable. After everyone left the bar to go back up to their rooms, I talked to my dad about that guy. My dad kept saying that Ron really liked me and mentioned, "He took a shine on you." My dad kept saying, "I don't know" when I asked him why Ron liked me. Why did Ron like me immediately?

Question: I'm 18 and my parents are threatening me if I go to visit my grandmother?

I'm 18 years old and live with my parents. I visit my grandmother very often ever since the passing of my grandpa 3 years ago; my mom is an egomaniac and anytime I try to have a debate with her over something and I ask "why do you think you're right?" She says "because I am the parent". My dad has really bad OCD to the point he talks to himself in front of other people, he also has anger issues if he isn't watching tv all day. I go to my grandmothers to visit with her and my older brother that happens to live with her. She's the sweetest old lady and anytime my mom disagrees with her on something stupid she will threaten to not let me go over to visit with her. I help my grandmother with house chores and carrying her groceries in. Me and my brother made sure that our grandpa would know our grandmother will be taken care of when he's gone. I plan on cutting off from my parents once I leave in a year for the military. I don't want to escalate the drama so I don't know what to do. Any advice on how to approach this?

Ok so basically i am 25 and i live at home with my parents and i am unemployed. I was engaged to a man that I didn't even end up marrying. I left him just so that my sisters wouldn't hate me and would include me in family activities because they said that they didn't want anything to do with me unless i leave him because he was mentally and emotionally abusive. I left him and they still don't invite me to go anywhere and didn't say happy birthday to me and i took off i was engaged on facebook. why is everyone being so mean to me?

My younger brother just told me that my oldest brother had cracked his phone and that he wanted me to call his new number. He gave me the number and I replaced my oldest brother's number in my contacts (which my contacts are shared with my mom) and called the number. No one answered, but it wasn't my brother's voicemail. Some other person was talking. I hung up and started having an anxiety attack. My younger brother and my two cousins were laughing at me and made fun of me for actually calling the number. I called my mom, hoping my older brother was home, but he wasn't. She said that it was okay and I shouldn't hate him because it was just a joke, but I know for a fact that she wouldn't have said that if it was the other way around. The boys are still making fun of me for it. He fakely apologized a couple times now. I know my dad and evil stepmother know but idk what to do. They don't care. Just to add to that, I asked some people what to do about it and some person said "Who are you" "Don't snap me please I don't know you", which kinda made the anxiety worse. PLEASE. HELP. ME.

Question: My Mom has a horrible friend. She has been with the friend every weekend since Labor Day. How do I get her to see the hypocricy of this?

My Mom gives me hell when I see my Dad twice in a row since she hates him (they are divorced). Yet, my Mom is with this friend of hers who I dislike every weekend. It is not a boyfriend but rather just a lady she is friends with from our old neighborhood. The lady hates my Dad as much as my Mom does. They also are both into decorating and antiques. So how do I get my Mom to see the irony of her giving me grief for seeing my Dad twice a week sometimes when she obsessively sees this ***** friend of hers?

Question: My Dad's cousin died yesterday. Since I can't make it to the funeral due to travel how would I call in flowers or a donation to the charity?

I live in Boston and the funeral is near Seattle. He was not anyone I was super close to but he was like the family ambassador that came to all the funerals, reunions, weddings, etc... He was the organizer of reunions.

I'm 15 with divorced parents and about a month I go I finally told my dad I wanted to move in with my mom. See, our normal routine is one week at my dad's and one week at my mom's. I've tried everything I possibly can to tell him why I hate it here yet he won't listen and still forces me to be here. He makes sure the that there are cops there after school to watch me get into his car. I'm seriously considering running away but Im pretty sure that it's legal to press charges on whoever I go to stay with. I feel mentally abused here and I'm so utterly depressed I can't stand it anymore
