my sister started acting weird like 2 days after she got really drunk at this party. she threw up like twice, barley eats, says only a couple words when she has to, rambles on saying weird stuff at some points, doesn't take any orders from my parents or anyone actually (hospital people asked her to change and she refused), she acts immature at times (picked her nose), picks at her skin, sleeps a lot. what's wrong with her

So long story short, i met this girl who was working at the grocery store i always go to, i thought she was actually really cute, turns out she's only 2 years older than me and went to the same school together. I ended up asking her out. A few weeks later i was telling my parents about her and they acted really confused, that's when i found out that she's one of my cousins on my dad's side of the family, her older sister (also my cousin) went to high school with my brother and i had no idea. I am lily and I have 4 living children. I haven't spoken in person with any of my children for 20 years. I had all of my children while I was in my 20's When my youngest son died at the age of 6 my mother died 1 month after and my father 3 days after that. my life crumbled. I ran away. I spent 5 years in New York City partying. In those 5 years my husband and I divorced. After that I went to a rehab facility. I am now sober. After that I tried to go back home and connect with my children but they all resented me and wanted nothing of the sort. After months of trying I left for Europe where I have been ever since. I found myself. I know how horrible it sounds but after such loss and so many life changing thoughts I needed to find myself. So I did I got up and I explored the world I spent 20 years in Europe falling in love and finding who I am. Going on adventures that were life changing. I have found who I am I am now whole and complete. After rehab and going out into the world and exploring it everything was so clear and still is. But now I have discovered that I am terminally ill and will not live much longer a year at most. I tried reaching out to my children but none of them will pick up except my lovely Eileen. She's trying to help get my children together. I leave for the U.S in 1 week where all my children reside. So I need honest blunt answers. Am I a bad mother? How do I get my children's forgiveness? What is your opinion about me as a person?

I'm 20 and My mom threating me each and everyday saying I'm a worthless piece of **** and a hooker and a ***** and more foul language. She doesn't like my BF ( he lives in md ) I live in va but known him for 8 years now. Me and my BF are saying up to get a place together and instead of helping me and supporting me she's been making threats saying that I should of died when I was a baby ( I was premature ) and now saying that if she had a gun she would shoot me with it. How she's sick of my "fantasies" on how I want to live in with my bf. I don't know what to do and it makes me so mad and I just can't stand it anymore. She said I'm going to have a rude awakening when my dad gets back home (he's my step dad, he's on deployment). I have a party time job right now and I'm looking for another one soon and I'm also doing this nursing program in the fall. My BF works 15+ hours a day and is making good money he wants to go to school soon but he's been helping his mom with the bills and his younger brother since she's a single parent. So I went pretty far from my house to take a test and I went on the train and subway. All morning I didn't feel too great so I arrive at my destination and I throw up but my parents say I still have to take the test. I still felt sick but we go into the building and I'm telling them I really would rather go home. They make me stay but a couple minutes in before we go to the test I throw up a lot. I told them I'd rather leave because I didn't feel well. They let me but kept yelling at me over and over again. saying I made myself get sick.

Recently my mother started dating men lately, leaving me by myself way too long at home(sometimes not returning home for 24 hours). Whenever I met my mom's boyfriend, I thought my mom was joking at the time. About 3 weeks later, my mom started having sex with her boyfriend(I didn't know she had sex at that time) and got pregnant, and 9 months later family members told me I have a sibling!! My teeth got messed up from my wisdom teeth coming, my top molars are slanted and pushed forward And I have a 280 degree rotated premolar. I feel very insecure because of this And my dad is very controlling and intimidating. If those were to move as in eat something he would take full reign of me which has happened before. I'm 18 years old and my mom has serious trust issues. I was planning on staying home today to finish up some Chemistry homework, but she came into my room to wake me up since they were going to church. I explained why I wasn't gonna go, and she took the keys to my car so that I wouldn't go anywhere on my own. I honestly wasn't going to go anywhere regardless, and now that she showed how little trust she has in me, I definitely am staying home. This little action spoke volumes to me, and I'm seriously mad about what she did. I never did anything to betray their trust, and it's seriously annoying me because they would trust my older sister alone all the time (She's 23 now and still lives here). What do I do?

My brother left a half eaten sandwich in the fridge for like a week so I had it for lunch. My dad was pissed that I ate the sandwich so he shoved me up against the wall and pushed me into it four times, he pushed me on the ground and hit me. He always screams about how much he hates me. I'm 16 and she's 16, too. My mom married her dad when we were both 14. This was after years of knowing each other. Ever since we started school, she's been a cruel bully who loves to torment me. She's beaten me up, spit on me, kicked me, scratched me, threatened to push me down the stairs and has even tried spreading rumours about me that could have gotten me into serious trouble and could have made me lose all my friends. Even now, she's horrible to me. She was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease last year and she's gotten so bad that she now needs a transplant. Her biological family weren't matches, so my mom got tested (wasn't a match) and made me get tested and I, unfortunately, am a match. It's driven a wedge between me and my mom because she wants me to donate and I've said no. My mom has tried telling me I should be willing to save my "sister" because I love her. But I don't love her. I hate her. I can't wait until I'm old enough to never have to see her again, even if it means losing my mom. I've had issues with her since she married the dad of my bully. Everyone in my family hates her except my dad becuz that his sister so yea! My wife and I were at her mother's (Linda) house. My wife was showing me the family photo album. In it was Linda's pictures as a swim suit model. Wow, was Linda great looking and had a figure to die for. I told my wife "I see where you get your good looks. Your mother is gorgeous ". Linda heard me and came over and hugged me and said "You made my day". My wife asked her mother if she could still get in the bathing suit she had on in the pictures. He always puts off seeing me like he doesn't really care. He has a new wife, new family, etc... He sees me at get togethers and is always nice but never asks me over to his stuff (it is my grandparent's get togethers he sees me at as well as weddings or funerals). When someone in my mother's family messes up then my mother resents them for life (with the exception of her parents, children, and siblings). For example, her cousin had a messy divorce and they used to be close, now she doesn't like the cousin. Her aunt was always nice to her but sometimes intrusive, now as an adult she dislikes that aunt. A cousin of hers came to see her at the hospital when she was in labor and my mother resents that cousin 25 years later. Another example is her uncle is an alcoholic so she calls him the "drunk coward" and didn't act like she cared when he died though she did go to the funeral. Is this normal? If I mess up like make a social blunder when someone is having a baby or any other blunder that is not tiny but also not grave, then will extended family likely hold a grudge against me for it even though immediate family (parents and siblings) forgive? My mother also has never forgiven her husband's family for anything and they are a wonderful and normal family. Her first husband, my Dad, she divorced.

My father gets on my nerves so bad. He's so overprotective. Whenever I want to drive to my friend's house, he says it's too far for a teenager to drive (it's just 20 minutes away) and insists on taking me himself. Even if I'm driving just 10 minutes away he gives me a whole lecture about driving safety and makes me send a text when I get there. When I was in 8th grade and we took a class trip to DC, he came and stayed in a hotel nearby "just in case." I go to this hard private school and I get way too much homework. I care about school and stuff, but sometimes I need a break. But whenever he sees me watching tv on any day but Saturday, he always tells me to get my homework out. If I don't have any, he tells me to study something anyway. And he's always opening the windows in our house when it's freezing cold and if I close them he shouts that we need fresh air. im 16 years old and i m a sophomore in highschool, everything at school is going ok. My grades aren t bad and I have really cool friends, but I think i m depressed. Its my at home life, my dad is the probably. He has different personalities, a nice one that occasionally shows, a drunk angry one, or just a plain angry one. He doesn t have a personality disorder or anything, he just gets angry when he s hungry or when he needs sleep, or he s just angry when he wakes up. So today I decided to ask what to do brcause of my incident that happenged today. So today I woke up at 11 AM, and I hear my dad angry as usually I don t think much of it because this is usual sometimes so I decided to ignore it and stay in my room, but when my baby sister started to cry, he got angrier, and started to spank her on the butt. I rushed out and yelled at him, and he started to hit me back. I stood my grounds because I was semi-use to the blows. I started to then yell at him to why he hit her, and the arguement went on. And now i m here writing this. What do I do with my life? Im confused. I already read about that, wait until your 18 and move out stuff, but I m worried about my sister. My uncle moved into my parents house a year ago. He was renting out the basement. Well, my parents separated and are in the process of selling the house. My dad moved out with my uncle into another place and my mom is staying until the house is sold. We found out my uncle had bed bugs! My parents are furious. My parents basement is infested. They had a professional come and confirm. Now the house is not going to sell on time and it has put more stress onto my parents. The infestation is controlled to the basement as they have no signs of any upstairs. Problem is my uncle Moved out and now they have no food source. The professional told my mom they are going to start comin upstairs to feed on her so they suggested my mom put her cat downstairs so they feed off him. My younger sister is so upset as its her cat and doesn t want this! Any suggestions would be great. Treatment starts in a few days. Isn t that considered animal abuse? I feel bad for my parents and sister as it is. My dad and uncle now have to pay to get their place treated as well. They said the basement has been infested for about a few months as there are all stages of bed bugs. Also any in sight as on to if this will effect my parents for selling the house(time wise clearly but other ways like less buyers and value of house)? Does this type of information have to be disclosed? My mother is getting in contact with her agent.. But I am curious!

I live in a very cold and rainy area and it s very hard to go places. I found that going onto my computer with friends is the closest thing to getting with friends after school. I never am able to use the computer on Mondays through Thursdays but I can go on the computer on weekends. So today I thought that because I did chores yesterday and helped out a lot that I would be able to play a little (2-3 hours with friends). I went down stairs and my sister who didn t do any work yesterday had a sleep over and was playing with her friend. I sat down and get some breakfast. Right after my dad asks if I want to go run some errands and I (being tired) said no. He yelled at me saying that it was all because I play way too much computer games! I ran the errands with him and came home to my sister doing nothing and brother on his phone. I sat down with a drink for a second than my mom yelled at me to start doing stuff like the rest of the family. So I cleaned a couple of rooms and vacuumed and all that and this time I sat down at my table with some water and asked if I was done. She Than yelled at me and said that I wouldn t be asking if I didnt play too much computer games. I m really confused because I never play more than 6 hours a week (2-3 hours on weekends per day) I do a lot of sports but none of them are going on right now so my dad yelled at me and told me I m going to go for a run around the entire woods (like 15 miles) and I over reacting?

My brother in law has some strange type of leukemia that isn't responding to anything his doctors do and I seem to be the only one who matches him. I can't complement the man as he is in hell now for abandoning me but I will have to say hello. I am going to the funeral to celebrate that my father is in hell now but I want to be respectful to his wife and two kids, especially since the two kids are innocent in it all and might not know how bad he was. So what do I say so I can sound positive and even though he is in hell should I say "he is in a better place" to make them feel better (I refuse to acknowledge he is in hell while at the funeral). About a month ago I ran off to California for a week and came back where they took my car and my money and refuse to let me out of the house. When I've tried to walk away and go for a walk they've followed me and made a scene. How do I break free from this? I'm an adult and everyone agrees they act absolutely ridiculous. Any tips? So today is my 17 birthday and my entire family has made plans to go to an event but first they're goin to all go to a restaurant without me. Ever since I was in middle school I've been told my birthday isn't anything special by my stepdad yet when his birthday comes up my mom spends hundreds on him. My mom used to lowkey celebrate my birthday, like when my stepdad wasn't there she would buy me cakes but most of the time I was punished on my birthday.So today I was awoken by the sound of my brothers kids so I go down stairs so I wouldn't be the rude teen in her room. I see my sister in law my mom step dad and they're company. Everyone says happy birthday to me one by one and I said thank you. My stepdad is just sitting on his phone. What bugs me is that as a child if I didn't speak to someone I would get beat by my stepdad but when he does it it's ok. My siblings are 17 and 15 and don't seem to concern themselves with anything but getting high. Dad buys them weed or let's them use his dab pen whenever they ask. In the past, he would do the same for me, but I have quit due to pregnancy (I'm 21). My dad has been diagnosed with depression and either combines his meds with pot or doesn't take his meds at all. When my mom found out what he was doing, they argued and he eventually promised to stop, but I recently discovered that he hasn't stopped providing it to them. I confronted him about it and he sarcastically told me he'd "stop doing anything fun with them". He's inattentive, lazy, and his kids are taking after him (being sober really changed my perspective in things in my family). I know I can't change him at the core, but what can I do to show him how irresponsible he's being? I don't want my siblings to justify abusing weed as a coping mechanism,which is one of the excuses my dad has used.

My 15 year old younger sister drinks every weekend, goes out at 9pm and comes back around 1-2am. My mom is sometimes awake when m sister sneaks in back home and asks "what did you do" and stuff and she just says "i'm tired, i'm going to sleep" (obviously doesn't answer because she's still not sober). My mom thinks she's very innocent and smart but she is far from innocent. She's two faced and doesn't even like her friends but she still parties with them to gain more popularity and become a "promstitute" to get a prom date. I just don't know how my mom thinks she's innocently watching a movie or baking and gossiping with her friends at a friend's house when she's drinking and god knows what else. It just doesn't make sense. I think if my future child went out at night and came back after midnight, I would get the hint that they are doing some shady stuff... I don't wanna tell my mom that she drinks and other things because if my sis finds out she'll talk even MORE **** about me to her friends and my friends told me it would break our trust which is already broken because she talks endless **** bout me when i do nothing. How should I get her caught?

My father has alcoholism so it is not that he would win a parental alienation suit in court as he will not get help for the drinking. However, my mother keeping me from seeing him really hurts. She speaks bitter of him and says he doesn't love us. My grandparents have offered to supervise us if we go, but my mother still will not let us go. I want to see him some and my mother is hurting me by not letting me. I know people who do and they say when he drinks he gets moody but is not dangerous as long as he is not driving. How do I get her to let me, the 14 year old son, go see him supervised? She speaks ill of him daily so it is not like she is protecting us as rather she is making it worse for us (my brother and I). My brother is 9 and wants to see him also though my older sister (16) doesn't really care.

She graduated from college with a sociology with social work degree (barely passed) Finding work for 9 months after that - nothing Went to grad school at a diploma mill - failed (got even more in debt) 26 months has passed since then - still no job. She lives with us, doesn't pay rent and eat our food (we even pay her phone bills) My uncle's restaurant needs someone. I asked her to take it. She refuses because she wants a long term job that'll use the skills she developed at college We wanted to chase her out unless she takes the job and pays us rent and food - she accuses us of being sexist because we won't chase his brother out (His brother pays us $900 a month, which is not enough, but is still something) What should I do?

Tomorrow my 6th grade sister has her friends and all her siblings coming over. They always make a huge mess so in order to show I don't make the messes so I don't have to clean the up, I have to stay in my room the whole time which will be 8 or 9 in the morning till 3 in the afternoon. My wife was made redundant from her job in 2010. Because she was unemployed for a while, she struggled to sleep. So she started taking these Nytol one a night tablets. But now almost 6 years on. She is back in full time employment and has her life back on track. I have noticed recently that she has been taking large quantities of these sort of one a night tablets (Nytyol, Morrisons one a night, Lloyds Pharmacy sleepaid, etc, etc). I have been monitoring over the last 5 days and notice she is taking 10 a night and getting through a pack every 2 days. Every time i try to speak to her about this, she goes in a mood and refuse to talk about it. I've told her she needs help, because she is virtually over dosing every night and doing her body no good. I love my wife dearly and don't want to leave her. We have known each other for 12 years and been married for 6. But I feel this might be the only way to help her get the help she needs. I don't want to be visiting my wife in a couple of years in a cemetery because one day she took too many or her organs fail. What can i do, to help her and stop this horrible addiction?

So I just turned 18 a couple months ago an I live with my mom who has the most custody of me. Because my moms house got flooded we are getting the house worked on but I decided to just live with my dad till it s over because all the dust from the workers cutting out the wood flooring and dry wall is making my asthma act up really bad. Yesterday I told my dad I was going to my girlfriends house and I ll probably be there till 10 or 10:30 the latest, my dad lives 15/20 min away from her house. Since I got my car when I was younger it s in my moms name although it came out my savings an I pay for gas, because of this I always tell her if I m going somewhere or not. she knew I was going to my girlfriends house but got angry because I stayed till 10:00, she texted me at 9 asking what I was doing, I just told her I was watching a movie with my girlfriend to which she replied "ok". at 9:30 she said it was getting late and that I need to start heading home but I told her that dad said I can be out till 10:30 but I ll probably head home around 9:55 becusse the movie is almost over, she got mad an starting arguing with me saying drunks are on the road this late at night and I either need to drive to her house and have my dad pick me up (which is 10 min away from my girlfriends) or just stay the night at her house and wake up in the morning and drive back to my dads. Long story short I think it s crazy to drive to her house when my dads is 10 more min away I ended up driving to my dads.

Question: My dad's side of the family never invited my sister and I to family gatherings. It is very upsetting. Should I talk to them? Or not?

I'm 19 years old and my parents (mostly my dad) still treats me like a kid. I can't stay in the house over night by myself if they're going to Albany. If I say that I want to go somewhere with my friends he'll say "I'll discuss it with your mom" like....are you kidding me?! And God forbid he says YES he starts asking questions from A-Z. Yet if it pertains to me doing something at church he's more quiet than Donald Trump being asked about the KKK. My brother when he was 22 was fed up with getting the same treatment and moved to Japan and has never came back. And I don't blame him. My dad will also push me to get my drivers license and I'm going to be taking the road test soon but I was online looking at the Jeep Wrangler unlimited and he tells me don't worry about vehicles until after you graduate...THEN WHY IN THE HELL SHOULD I GET MY DRIVERS LICENSE? I told him I don't want him paying for it because I would be dealing with that. Then I told him I need to do an internship at a police dept and he wants to tell me which one ...THATS NOT HOW INTERNSHIPS WORK. I'm honestly fed up and I cannot take it anymore. I'm stressed out A LOT, I cry and I feel hurting him, not myself idk what to do

I'm a 13 year old girl and my parents got divorced when I was 3 and I've been living with my dad since then and I had a stapmom since I was 5 My dad was in the navy so he was always strict! So yesterday I was doing my chores and my stapmom came up to me and asked if I could help her clean her car and I agreed(I seriously didn't care if I'm doing the dishes or washing the car, I'm still cleaning) I have a chore list that my dad lives me everyday and I steel had a lot to do so we cleaned her car for something like an hour, and I got back to doing the dishes, 5 min after that my dad came home,and saw me doing the dishes and most of my chores aren't done! So I remember this conversation almost word to word: "You should be done by this time,did you slack?" "No, I helped(my stapmom's name) wash her car" She was up stairs so my dad called her and asked if I helped her? Her response was:"ohh no, I did it all by myself while she was watching TV" I remember that word to word because that was the biggest lie she has ever told! And she walked away! Dad:"so your lying?who thought you how to lie to your own father? Me:"I didn't I swear, I actually washed the car!" Dad:"ohh so she is lying and your an angel?, Finis all of your chores, and I will double them tomorrow! if you ever lie again it will tripled ,is that clear?" "Yes" She is such a snake! I was pulled out of middle school( 7th grade) years back because my parents didn't like the way the school was, it was filled with mean, foul mouthed teachers and students, had conflicts with my parents,students always starting fights, picking on people including me, spoke like perverted adults etc. Around that time I was thrilled and relieved when I was pulled out, no more home or school work, no more sleep schedules, no more bullies and non-caring teachers, it was the life for a while until I started getting older(around 16)then I realized I was "boned". My parents said they would try to get a tutor or some kind of home-school teacher when they pulled me out of school but for financial reasons it couldn't be done, I'm ashamed to say for a real long while I sat at home doing what ever but learning anything and while wasting away I forgot basic stuff like multiplying and division, my parents didn't make much of an effort to teach me themselves. At the time my mother worked away until 6pm and my father worked 1-2 hours away and came home around 10pm. I could understand them being tired and not having the time. But eventually my mother started working at home, being able to wake up later than normal but still working till 6pm and my father became a truck driver, meaning he's pretty much never home except every few months and only then he just stays a few days. I would think my mother could actually help me out now but she seemed to treat trying to teach me, a chore. (character limit) Without much of an education I can't get my G.E.D, get a job and move out. I'm 18 now, I'm at a standstill, I don't know what to do or what I can do to get my self back on track to any sort of life and I'm certainly not looking forward to spending the rest of my life leeching off my parents or being homeless. I feel like I've wasted a large part of my life and there's no way I can fix anything. Would appreciate honest, detailed answers. Thanks.

I have my own family and make my own decisions to live the life I want for me and my family. We may not have enough money and at times we have none at all. But my family would rather look for other means than ask my mother. Everything for her has a price. She has loved my siblings more and always took their side even if what they did was wrong. She wants me to beg from them but I wouldn't. I feel so weakened by her. She doesn't empower me and I hate her for that. It's been months since I last talked to her and she has been calling my friends telling her side and making it seem like I'm the bad daughter and she is just a concerned mom. I don't want her in my life anymore. I'm sorry to say this but I hate her for all the hurt she has given me. My relationship with my daughter is a loving one. Even she doesn't want to be with her grandmother because she just shouts at us because wee failed to meet her standards. I am at peace when I'm not with her. My question is ... how do we let our friends know that my mother is just looking for attention and it's not true about her being concerned. She is good at crying at will and uses it to gain sympathy. She is younger than me by 1.75 years. We have both been abused, and for that reason we used to look out for each other a lot and had a really tight bond. Now that we have both moved out and are on our own (for the last ~4 years), she doesn't really talk to me unless I try fairly hard to initiate a conversation. I know she is busy, but so am I. She recently complained that I don't visit her, but I don't have any money. And why would I prioritize visiting her if it's difficult to have a simple chat with her on facebook? I just dont really get it. Do most people lose touch with their siblings in adulthood? (early-mid 20s?)

It's not f*cking fair, my older siblings started working when they were 16 and my mom had no problem with it and was happy for them. I'm 17 and I applied for a job online and I have to go in for an interview it's been 3 weeks and my mom is hesitant to take me for some reason!!!!! She keeps making up excuses not to take me. I'm not even a bad kid I don't do drugs or alcohol and I do good in school and yet my mom doesn't want me to work. Years ago my parents went on a show called Ricki Late back in 2000. Flash forward to today I was looking for something and happened to stumble apond it in the house. So I waited for my mom to leave to watch it because this disc was always kept hidden from me and everytime I asked to watch it my mom said when your 18. So as I was watching it I head something that ripped my to shreads my dad said quote on quote "I put 300 dollars down for her to get an abortion". That sentence made me ball my eyes out for an hour. Then what made it even worse was when he found out I was his, he still wanted nothing to do with me, after that sentence I lost it. I started crying uncontrollaby and just felt unloved, unwanted, and felt as if I was a burden to him after 15 years of me living on this earth. Story: So he is a senior in high school.He's nice caring and protective a and handsome. All girls in high school are crazy after him. Yeh he is preety popular. So this guy In my class always teases me.and my brother thought that he's my boy friend.cause there is a rumor. But no he's not my bf. So I came back home from school and saw he's moody face I asked why he was all moody he said go away! He's never like that so I went to my room. After hour I went downstairs and sitting watching TV grabbed a soda from the fridge when he asked me why didn't you told me you have a boyfriend. I was like boyfriend? What boyfriend? And he suddenly grabbed my wrist and pushed me toward sofa I was like WTF he was on top of me and he was whispering all sorts of stuff in my ear Like you have a bed buddy!
