We baked a cake together for several hours, and then went home. When we both got home, we started messaging for an hour and a half or so. She insisted on listing out my positives and negatives, and I did the same for her. She told me she asked her friend about a guy's reaction to a girl asking him out, and then asked what I thought. After this she asked me if she should feel guilty about suddenly caring less about her ex? I said no, can't feel guilty over feelings. Next she posted the lyrics to a bunch of love songs. At one point she jokingly said she doesn't need my affection, to which I jested back that she knows she does. She responded by saying that she doubts she doesn't already have it, saying that she has my 'admiration' (I said I admired her as a positive). We talked for a little longer, when she told me I'm currently the number one person in her life, then asked why I was still talking to her (It was late). The first year of our relationship he went through a really rough time in his life and was pretty depressed. I sat there with him through it all: the social anxiety, the insomina, the mood swings, when he'd lash out at me, I sat there for hours while he ranted to me which included skyping him for at least 6 hours a day last Summer even when I went to Australia and America for a month with my family. I recall sprinted to his house a lot in early morning hours when he'd tell me he wanted to kill himself. Now he has recovered a lot and is excited for this summer. I wrote him a cover letter and resume, applied to many jobs, I put his room out for sublet so he could even be in a different city which worked out as his Uncle (works in a big company in down town toronto) offered him a job. All he does now is talk about how is life worked out and how easily everything came together. He planned his summer and didn't even think about including me in any of the parts. I feel like I didn't get a lot of thanks and I also feel like I was the behind all of it which makes me feel incredible selfish and arrogant. Especially when he boasts about himself and how great his own life is going to be... it seems like he now shoves me to the side.... I feel kind of resentful and like I put effort into something and didn't even get anything back. Does that make me selfish |

I know there are exceptions, but I am speaking in "general". P.S. I know my question sounds condescending but I promise it wasn't intended to be. I also want to acknowledge, I know VERY well it could be something that women do. I am just curious what is it that we do. I know as women, when we are comfortable, we speak to our male friends like our girlfriends. Being honest about our bodies, sex, being touchy-feely etc., and maybe this gives men the wrong idea or turn them on unintentionally. |

He s flirted with me over text,has called me pretty,teases me,I guess tries to make me laugh,and he also even has a nickname for me. In school,I have caught him staring at me a bunch of times. On 1 incident,I wasn t paying attention,and out of the corner of my eye,I saw him staring at me. So what I did is I looked over,and he looked away quickly.We don t really talk to each other in person but we can talk to other people perfectly fine.He has also called me cute with a big smile (according to my friend). He said he was going to dance with me on the next dance event.We re best friends and I feel like he feels the same way for me. What should I do? And does he like me too? |
