He's real socially awkward but in a weird way where he doesn't shut up. He just rambles and rambles about pointless uninteresting **** and will literally cut you off to ramble for an hour straight about irrelevant ****. He also does really rude and disrespectful **** like when he cuts you off and you try to interrupt back he will raise his voice and roll his eyes. Also he will plain out insult someone but try to cover it up by saying no offence before it. I mean he's real dorky but that's not why people hate him 2 weeks ago there was a party out in the woods and I ran into him on the way so I thought I'd be nice and tell him to tag along even though my friends told me not to. Well it ended up where my friend started drama by telling this dude we don't even know " no offence but your girlfriend seems dumb as rocks". The dude asked him to repeat himself 3 times and my friend stupidly said it again and on the 3rd The dude ended up throwing my friend to the ground. At first my friend thought it was a joke and started laughing until about the 3rd time he was slammed. Then my friend something along the lines of you just can't handle hearing the truth and the dude almost blasted him but everybody broke it up and we left before something else happened. Then my friend was acting like he was a victim and that dude was just a big bully. The thing is he's always been like this. He will be real disrespectful but he thinks he gets beat up for just being geeky. I have tried talking to him about this but he plays it off like " you know me, I tell it how it is" and laugh even though if someone says the same thing to him he gets all offended. It's like no wonder he has no friends. I know I shouldn't but I feel bad ignoring him because everybody hates him, it's like I feel guilty if I ignore him. |

But as the days went on more things in my life have been falling apart. my ex was a person I could go to 24/7 because I only had a couple of friends and I am homeschooled. So after the breakup obviously I only had a few people. Things went well with my friends till all of a sudden theyre blowing me off. This really hurts because I HAD 4 friends but lost one because he was abusing my other friend. 2 of my friends dont really care or answer me when I contact them and the one friend that does "care" shes busy for college. So I feel like my social life was ruined so I was like ok i should make new friends, so I looked to volunteer in a hospital and lo and behold I didnt get accepted. And everywhere else is too far for me since I have no car and job and no one to take me. Then my grandpa got diagnosed with cancer and I told my friend to reach out to my ex for me cause I need emotional support and he said no because his parents and him arent on good terms and dont want him texting (his parents were ALWAYS like that so I try not to take it personally, but I do anyways) and then just today my family has been so discordant. The only thing I have going for me in life right now is my school and grades. I feel like Im at a loss, like its me against the world and I dont know what to do. I have no idea what to do from here, things keep falling apart. I do have hobbies, I like to exercise and do art, which I have been doing and its my little escape for the day. I have been meaning to take up studying for medical school so I think that will help to distract me. Entering public school IS an option for me, but I am hesitant because my grades are better in homeschooling. And since its about to be my senior year I want GREAT grades, and I feel the need to 'WOW' the colleges. |

We used to be really close, we went to prom together and kinda had a thing going on, but now he just completely dropped it and I really don't know what to do. I really care about him, and I think he knows that, but I don't know what to do any more. He doesn't talk to me or text me everyday after track practice like he used to. Stuff like taking my things while I am at school, not letting me do homework, then yelling at me because I am getting bad grades in class, texting my friends while we are in class, telling them to stop talking to me. She made my best friend stop talking to me when he was the only person who would listsn to my problems. (I did the same for him) So since he stopped talking to me, I haven't had anyone to tell about this. I started going to therapy. It worked for a little while, but then mum caught on and stopped taking me. So I was left there, fighting everyday with her, not having anyone to tell about all the stuff that was happening, all while trying to keep a straight face at school and in public. She has made me lose several friends, so I have like, 2 or 3 not-so-good friends. It has gotten so bad now, that I had multiple breakdowns at schoo today. I don't know what to do. She wont let me go anywhere, not even to my grandpas. She took my phne away, which doesnt seem like a big deal, but it has some of my school work on it. I cant just leave at night, or she will call the cops and tell them im a runaway so they can put mein the hospital for "running away." I am running out of options. Please help! But once things keep adding up I can't take it. This guy and I have been talking for a few months and he claims to like me a lot. We've both told eachother how we feel multiple times. In the beginning, it was obvious. But things aren't the same as they used to be. We don't talk as much, flirt as much, etc. He's been wanting to hang out for months and I've been free soooo many times and it never happened. He knows he's always welcome to my school and he always said he would visit some weekend and hasn't. He always has other stuff going on. So yesterday he asked me when we were hanging out and it BUGGED me because I've been waiting for HIM. So I said "you tell me". Then he said "whenever". And I was like "don't say thay cause I know it's not true. you're always busy." He also said something like "I know you don't like me anymore." He's very sensitive/insecure. This all just frustrates me so much because I like him more than I've ever liked anyone, but with these games I've been dealing with, my feelings have started to fade because I just don't know what he wants and I can't hold on forever. Today we had a test and my friend was helping me out with the last bit I didn't understand and he knew I wasn't ready but he picked me anyway (I know I should have been prepared, that part is totally my fault) I missed 2 chords in there and then he started telling me about how bad my playing was, I nodded like I understood and he kept going then he asked me questions in a tone that made me feel stupid, and I felt he was doing it on purpose and I felt a lump in my throat and couldn't reply, After that he became quiet and so I got up and he laughed and he told me he wasn't done and that he was having a conversation with me so I better sit down, so I did and he kept going I never said a word, I just nodded and finally the bell rang and I got up and packed my things and left, everyday he makes it so hard to keep going to his class, I can't change it it's too late the year is almost over....Should I just ditch tomorrow and read in the library? |

He butts into everyone's conversations, he tries talking **** about people (keyword: tries), and he likes to get in people's faces and grab/touch them (he's not trying to intimidate them, but he just does it for some reason). I learned to be let say (normal) in them situations but it's all just a fake front but people seem to really like me but they have no clue who I am. And they will never know because I don't want to listen to anyone else's story's or how there doing or anything , I don't care but it's not socially acceptable to do that . And also continuously trying to calm her down. She said it was none of my bussiness with the conversation (I didn't get into the conversation, I did talk about the way she conducted herself though). But as her friend, do I not have an obligation to atleast try to stop this conversation or calm her down. She was embarrassing herself, and literally she was in the wrong when I learned what the conversation was about, but that's irrelevant. The conversation was none of my bussiness, but the way she conducted herself was. Yelling, cursing, and the guy stayed calm as ever. Some of my friends tell me how guys want to apporach me but I look so young and they dont wanna embrass themselves. Thrid I harldy know how to talk. I have taken speech threaphy since i was 5 years old. I can talk well over text an sometimes in groups but one on one is difficult for me. Forth my aunt who has taken care of me since i was 2 weeks old is gonna kick me out as soon as I turn 18. Although I got money to survive I feel unwanted, she states U gotta go. I told her how I feel and she doesn t care. My friend and I are gonna get a studio apt and we currently are about to release an album by august of this year specializing in trap and rap. People love me in public school they call me a class clown I can make a whole group of people laugh off of one smart remark. People love being around me. I just feel unwanted and like my life is slowly falling apart, my family is distancing themselves from me. While friends are getting close to me. I do have a plan when I leave. |

Every time I ask her to hang out she says she can't, maybe or doesn't respond. She told me she must want me around because we talk through text and Facebook friends but when I ask her to hang out she never responds.....is that a red flag? We hung out everyday, and we talked about EVERYTHING. We also did everything together and there wasnt a day we werent together. However, two months ago she started going out with some friends she has from another school, so she hang out with me just on school days. It did bother me a little, but i didnt tell her anything since i didnt want to fight because i care a lot about our friendship. About 2 weeks ago, she started ignoring me at school too, she treated me well, and then she treated me like ****. She decided when to treat me nicely and when to treat me badly and ignore me like if we weren't even friends. I dont know what to do, it makes me feel very sad and very vulnerable. I dont know if i should go talk to her, and what should i say? Because i didnt do anything wrong, and i dont know if i should go talk to her because maybe it makes things worst, and maybe talking to her starts a fight between us. I just dont want to lose this friendship because i care a lot about her and i love being her friend. PLEASE HELP ME. Also, it feels like **** when she treats me badly sometimes and sometimes she treats me good. It doesnt make any sense, a friend shouldnt do that to her best friend. |

She's not my job coach anymore tho. I guess we're just friends anyway I wasn't feing good today and I was extremely nervous to go with her and I'm nervous to go anywhere with anyone. Why is this? Every year we ve continued to be best friends, but this year somethings has changed. We met this new girl named Madison, and she really hit it off with us. Istarted to notice that I wasn t invited to a few of their hangouts and madisonwas , but it didn t really bother me because of course I didn t expect to be invited to everything, but lately I ve noticed that I haven t been invited to any of their hangouts, and I ve been spending weekends alone. Today, I wanted to hang out with them, so I thought I would initiate it by asking if they wanted to hang out tonight. When I asked them all individually,They all said they had plans. Later on I found out they are all hanging out tonight- and of course- I wasn t invited, but she was. I was shocked and heart-broken because we never ever had any conflicts... ever. In fact, she showed interest in me first, last year, when we first met. She was nice to me and I was nice to her all the time. After this morning, I realized that friendships can be fixed and don't have to be permanently over. However, most results I found online were about how to restart a friendship after a conflict or something bad that had happened. That did not apply to me since I never get into conflicts with anyone at school, no matter how well I know them. And since nothing bad happened during the friendship between me and this girl, it shouldn't be too hard to mend, right? I know I should wait a little while before I even contact her. But when the time comes, what would be the right words to say to her in order to regain the friendship? I would prefer not to be told to give up and move on. | Question: Is it normal as a young adult now a days to just stay home most of the time? Posted: 14 Apr 2016 10:55 AM PDT So I'm in my early 20s I stay home most days when I'm not working. Part of the reason is I live in kind of an old folks city not much to do if you don't have any money to spend. Most of my friends live in a different city so we really don't hang out as much as we use to. But now to me it just seems like it probably the norm to not go anywhere. When I get off of work I don't want to do anything just sleep because I work early mornings and by the time I get home it's already late. And on my off days I feel completely drained sometimes I only clean up my house and walk my dogs that's about it. I don't really go out and do nothing just stay home. Sometimes I have friends come over but even when they do come over its boring I think it's just this part of town? Do yous normally just stay home? I feel like I'm the only one who does. It's hard to make any friends because I just constantly work and all my co workers I just do not trust at all for many reasons. Thanks |

Posted: 14 Apr 2016 10:18 AM PDT So I've been receiving messages on Tumblr for months from someone I didn't know, all very creepy and sexual things and then one day last month the person directly messaged me with their account with no name or anything. I ignored all of his messages he sent day after day, and then a couple days ago he found my private twitter, made an account, and followed me. I'm the only person he follows, and the creepiest part is that my friends got the notification that their contact joined twitter. So this person is someone I know but cant figure out their number. To make matters worse, I tracked their IP address and they live in the neighborhood I hang out in. He was messaging me for pictures so we had the idea to ask him to send pictures of him first so we could see who he was, now my phone is filled with these gross pictures from this strange man I somehow know well enough to have his number in my friends phones. It's a sick obsession that has gone on for too long and now is hitting way too close to home, and hes getting angry I wont respond. I've blocked him multiple times but he just makes new accounts. Any advice on how to deal with this? |

| Question: Should I stop being so nice to people? Posted: 14 Apr 2016 10:03 AM PDT I am by no means a push over but I go out of my way to help my friends. Helped one with a video project last minute because his partner bailed for example, always helping other friends with similar things. Today I needed help, my phone broke and I needed a ride 10 minutes to the phone store to get it checked out. They were all "busy" and its a small college we all know each others schedules. I texted from one "friend's" phone and the other friend responded "sorry I'm busy" when I know she isn't. Then I texted another friend from the phone and he didn't respond immediately so I asked the girl if she could let me know if he texts back (I live down the hall from her) and she said she had to take a nap. Everyone had similar excuses. I never helped anyone to get "something" in return, I genuinely like being there for people who I care about. But if these people don't value me enough to give up their nap or drive me 10 minutes down the road, they clearly don't value or care about me much at all. I know you could say "well maybe the others really were busy" but I swear its a small college and nothing changes week to week, I know most of them don't have plans because there is nothing to do in this town. Should I stop being so nice? It honestly hurts when people you thought cared turn out to not. And it's not just a phone, it's important for my work and projects I have going on so its not like I'm desperate to get it fixed just to text people and I made that clear. Again, I'm not upset about the phone, it's the lack of care. |

Posted: 14 Apr 2016 09:58 AM PDT I'm a 23 year old girl and I work in a place that has all female co-workers and I am struggling to get along with almost all of them. Truth be told I've always struggled with girls, i've always gotten along better with guys, when I'm around women it feels like a competition, and always like they're trying to get me fired. I do my job and I think I'm doing okay but then I find out there's a game on telephone going on behind my back. The girls watch my every move and report back to the boss. They complain I don't listen to them when they try to redirect me but honestly, NO ONE has spoken to me or told me what I'm doing wrong. A new girl started a couple weeks ago and theyre already buddy buddy, laughing, having fun but never including me. It honestly made me feel terrible when i walked into the room and saw a picture drawn by the new girl, saying "i love Tess and Laurie" -Love (said new girl) i can't understand why I'm not liked or what I'm doing wrong. My fiance thinks it's maybe they're all immature and young minded compared to me, I honestly feel like the smartest person in the room when they're talking about boy troubles or just plain gossiping. I don't enjoy being in a workplace where it feels like I'm in the crosshairs. I don't want to be friends with these girls I just want to be civil. But it's so hard. Even my dad understands how catty and betchy girls can be. how do you deal with them? This is my job right now so I'll have to suffer them until I find somewhere else |
