Posted: 05 Feb 2019 08:25 PM PST when I get in my car to leave, she lights it and makes a big mess of soot all over the house and in the garden. I have even had a chat with one of her next-door neighbours about it and she even thinks my father s wife is a bit strange. |

Posted: 05 Feb 2019 06:22 PM PST He has two teenage daughters. He says this would upset them and that he no longer believes in marriage. I am in love with him. It is now too soon to get married with him, we need to get to know each other more. But I want to eventually get married. I can't help but think that he just does not want to marry me, and he is using the children as an excuse. What do the married/divorced people here think? What should I do? |
Question: Is getting married worth it? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 06:13 PM PST Is getting married worth it? And if so why do people get divorced then? If love truly exists why do people become detached and get bored from one another? |

Posted: 05 Feb 2019 06:01 PM PST I have terrible anxiety about driving and it's crippled me my entire adulthood. I am almost 27. MY heart begins to beat out of my chest as soon as i get in the driver's seat. I have been avoiding going to therapy but i'm finally deciding to get help for this because I know it's not normal to be this afraid. I am going to make it my duty to get in counseling and overcome this so I can be an independent adult. I can't even drive myself to the grocery store without having a major panic attack and black out. I don't want to live like this. I don't want to live in a constant state of extreme fear and paranoia. I am worried this will consume me and my future marriage will be on the rocks because of it. My boyfriend is 35 and wants to marry me. He says he loves me, we've been together for 4 years and he's not getting any younger. He wants to get married very soon within this year but the problem is once we get married and move in together he will have to drive me everywhere until I can get my license and it will be a huge burden on him. I am afraid he will resent me for it. Right now, It's not really that stressful for him because the driving is dividided amoung my dad, my mom, and him so he doesn't have to do ALL the driving everyday. My mom will take me to work, my dad takes me to the grocery store, and my boyfriend will take me to the bank and other mischellanious places, sometimes he will also pick me up from work. my boyfriend never complains about having to drive me places. |
Question: Worried for child safety during unsupervised visits? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 05:10 PM PST I am the mother of a 16 month old daughter. Her father was not around during my pregnancy or during and after her birth up until she was 8 months old. He decided to come around after his girlfriend left him and has been ordered supervised visits since. We were hoping to escalate to unsupervised after my daughter was comfortable with him. The problem is, the supervised visitations had been less than desirable. He has no parenting skills and is unwilling to learn. He will not change our daughters diaper if she poops. He hung her upside down by one leg. He spins her violently and puts her down just to watch her fall. She has a scar on her nose because he forgot to strap her into her stroller while I was in the store and she flew out. He insinuated that she could ride in a car without a car seat. He allowed her to eat mulch at the park and told me that I was not allowed to comfort her when she gets hurt because it's "not good for her attitude." There are too many things to list, but these are my concerns and at this time he is demanding unsupervised visits. He has not shown that he can care for her properly. He does have a traumatic brain injury which I believe may be the reason for his behavior. I want to know what steps I can take to protect my daughter under these circumstances. I want him to have a great relationship with our daughter but she is getting injured in his care, and he is contributing to it. Any advice? Thank you! |
Question: Women who don't want kids nor marriage? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 04:28 PM PST Why do some people bash women who don't want kids or marriage. I thought I wanted marriage and kids, but after I changed my mind... I've been getting alot of backlash and told I'm selfish? Why? |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 03:43 PM PST e had backstage passes and he was very friendly, asked if he could have a kiss and hubby was ok with it, then he sort of grabbed a boob. Hubby freaked. The rock star (not going to say who but he is moderately famous) just laughed. Hubby took me home and is mad for 3 days now. |

Question: My wife cheated twice on me within 3 years of marriage. What do I do? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 01:14 PM PST Keeping it very precise so that you guys read and HELP ME. We'll be completing 3yrs to our marriage soon. I am 30.she is 28. No kids yet. Ours was love marriage. 1st year of marriage – I found she is too much contact with her ex-colleague. When caught, she confessed having feelings for her ex-colleague and that she liked him. I gave her a choice to either get separated with me OR be with me but, she'll need to stop everything with that guy. She agreed. She also confirmed not having physical relationship. 2nd year of marriage – She left that office and joined my office but different shift timings. By mid, I found she getting close to a colleague from other division and my suspicion grew. I caught her sex chatting and when confronted I was SHOCKED to found that they had slept once and occasionally sent nudes/video calls. She promised never to do so and concentrate on your marriage. 3rd year of marriage – I did forgive her and we both moved on. Today, she connected her cellphone to the laptop and some software pulled all images from her phone. What I found was DEVASTATING. There were pics of ex-colleague and her getting intimate when we were in relationship. Followed by nudes and semi-nudes just after our Engagement. THEY EVEN HAD SEX AFTER WE WERE JUST BACK FROM OUR HONEYMOON. Even if I am ready to let go her first affair with her ex-colleague, the big question in front of me is what the need to cheat on me twice with a colleague that too we all being in the same office. |
Question: My teenage daughter got married a month ago and I only found out yesterday!? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 12:57 PM PST I am heartbroken that she didn't tell me. She has been dating a young man for about a year but they have a lot of break ups and make ups. He joined the military and he has been wanting a quick marriage. I don't like him, but it's her decision. I only recommended she wait a year so we could plan a wedding and so she could see who he is now that he joined the military. Instead, on while he was on leave, they got married and his parents were there. They did not invite me or her siblings or any of her friends or anyone she knows. It was only his parents and his uncle. She kept it a secret and in the meantime I have been going with her to bridal venues, etc. when her new husband doesn't even want a wedding. Finally the weight of the secret got to her and she told me with tears streaming down her face. She told me she made a mistake and that it was too soon and she wishes she didn't get married and wants a divorce. She feels closed in with a lack of freedom. I am in shock. I don't know if I should help her get a divorce or not. I am also heartbroken she left her family out of this. My question was the last sentence. Should I help her get a divorce or not? She now says she wants a divorce, and wants me to help her, however, everything she is doing is highly emotion driven, and maybe wanting a divorce is as impulsive as getting married! I want to be anonymous because I don't know if my identity is public if it's not anonymous and this is a situation that is private. Trivia One, why does anyone come on yahoo answers but to get different perspectives. If you don't like my question do yourself a favor and don't answer it. This situation has hit me hard and I am seeking advise from strangers it's true but so far some valuable insight has been offered and I am appreciating the responses. It helps me and so go about your own business and for those that want to add their opinion I welcome it. My daughter and I have been close. This is why it hurts. Her best friend is also very sad and so are her brothers and sisters, and grandma. None of us knew. |
Question: My spouse is very irritable. I can't take it anymore? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 12:20 PM PST If we sit at a red light too long, he get's irritated and expresses it. I wish we could just have a normal conversation and wait for the light to turn like normal people. If the line at the grocery store is long, he is irritated the whole ride home. These little things just set him off and I can't deal with it. It's affecting my quality of life. What should I do? If we get in an argument 30% of the time he will break something or throw something on the floor, sometimes pricy things like ipads and iphones. Before, if we got in an argument we would just make up and go back to normal, but now each argument results in me being less attracted to him. |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 11:23 AM PST So my mom caught my dad on a dating site a couple of weeks ago damaging their already broken relationship. Long story short, I have a brother who has Cerebral Palsy and my mom is his CNA and his primary caregiver. She makes about $16/ hr. My dad makes about 70k. He is narcissistic and somehow turned him into the victim when he was the one who cheated on my mom. She thinks he is looking into divorce and she is in no way financially stable to go through this but he is and he knows he can afford it and she can't. Any advice would be helpful. |
Question: What to do when the custodial parent wants to send the child to a private school? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 10:46 AM PST My husband has a kid from another lady.. He has been in the kids life since he was born and gets him 3 days out of the week ( I'm giving this detail so ppl wouldn't start questioning his parental position). Plus he has been paying the max child support since she quit working right before the child support court and started school.. She never holds a job more than two months and always picks those minimum wage jobs ( she used to make way more than minimum wage) and of course gets help from the government... And now she wants to send the kid to a private school and asking money for that... Me and my husband both went to a public school and we both are educated and we both have decent jobs... So we both believe private schools are not necessary plus we are trying to build a life too... He has been doing anything he can do for his son, but we are not able to afford a private school... She wants to take him to the court for this matter and I don't know if anyone had anything this kind of experience before ? We do not even know how she is going to afford to pay for her portion but she is dedicated to send the child to a private school.. Any advice would kindly appreciated. Thanks. |

Question: Husband has a smart mouth/anger/laziness problem. What to do? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 08:16 AM PST This is my 2nd marriage. I was raised by 2 feminists who taught me that men are below women and they are to obey/not smart off. My husband is annoying, lazy, angry, has had cps called for how he treats my son from a prev. marriage now twice. His parents taught him that he is never @ fault, its always someone elses fault and "he is always the victim". I paid for divorce papers (pro se) but the lady messed them up and they cant be used. Now I have no more $ to get new ones. Below are the things he does. 1- Never remembers to put trash cans out. Walks right by them before work and drives away. 2- Puts his band(s) 1st, and has charged money on my credit cards for band equipment and could care less if the kids and I starve as long as he gets new music gear/gas for gigs. I am disabled and work at home/watch the kids. He has left me with the kids after getting out of the hospital to go to the bars. 3- Has lied/gossiped to his folks about me and allowed them to fabricate stories to other relatives about me and let them try to "file a divorce on his behalf because he cant control his life they have to and if he loved/respected them he would give up control" (he is nearly 40 fyi) 4- Is verbally abusive to me in front of others (one of the reasons cps is investigating him again) 5- Takes personal calls during family time and screams/curses when asked to get off phone 6- Refuses to clean up after himself. Throws dirty and clean clothes down on floor/dishes too I have tried to divorce the guy when I had the money, he has vowed to never pay a dime in CS (claims no judge will make him pay because I am splitting my family up) Shoves Bible down my throat and says he is "the head of the household and will obey and no d*** woman has any rights!" This morning I asked him why he was shining flashlight in bedroom and he said "I dont know" I said "please stop, its waking me up" and he screamed a profane remark at me and I told him watch your smart mouth. Not a troll, this is 100% legit. He has been told that I will not live as a loser like his mom has been (dependent on a man, not working, etc) and that his smart mouth wont be tolerated. |

Question: How should I respond to my boyfriend after this argument? Posted: 04 Feb 2019 10:27 PM PST My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years and we are in our 30's and 40's. He claims I don't show him enough commitment and dedication. Today I went to his job (I work there too) after my shift to talk to him and show him my commitment by returning to the job after my second job and just spending time with him. I really didn't have anything written that was amazing to tell him how committed I am to him except I got him some treats and just played on hanging out with him. When I say commitment that means him moving into my place.. No marriage He made a deal to hang out with me tonight and said 'if you wait till 12 am (when he gets off work) then I'll go home with you.' Since I paused and I didn't seem too happy to stay since was 7 p.m and I had been at my job since 7 am he responded 'Too bad. I just wanted to see how you would respond and I you wouldn't just commit to something like this.' I commit to him on so many other levels-- more so financially but I am reliable like this. I hate this trickery he does and always looks to catch me in something I don't think is wrong but he makes seem literally everything I do is wrong. Like I ended up staying there till most of the night pleading for him to accept me and and not say 'we are done' and he refused to come home with me. I kept explaining to him I was tired and voice was hoarse and I just wanted to go home. What do you think? |
