Question: Underage cousin drinking, how do I tell mom? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 05:56 PM PST My underage cousin (15) and her also underage friend were posting videos of them drinking beer and whiskey in her house while her parents were away. She s done this before and someone else told her mom, but I think this is worse? Should I/how do I tell her mom aka my aunt? I m worried about her, this is the second time she and a friend have posted themselves drinking and I thought after she got in trouble the first time she d stop. |
Question: Am I wrong for this? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 04:58 PM PST I moved away at 15 (for college) and created a life for myself that I know for a fact I wouldn't have had if I would've stayed where I was before. I am only an hour away from hometown and talk to my family every single day. People who were "so close" with me found out I'm in college and started rumors to get my attention. I ended up winning a fight against them and now I'm the bad guy. Am I wrong for acting on being provoked? |

Posted: 01 Feb 2019 04:32 PM PST Can someone please tell me why I ( a 15 year old female) somehow decided to just steal. I ve always hated stealing. I had a friend once a few years ago who tried to steal and I made her go back but then she threatened me so I took a lipstick too. I ve felt so guilty about it. Now today, I was in Walmart, again like I said I got caught, idfk what I would have done to myself if I was able to just leave. But I just was grabbing things. Nothing I needed. Like at all, weird jewelry, makeup, Im not even sure what else. It didn t even feel like that much but holy **** I just kept grabbing. I took things out of the package and emptied it Into to my bag and idfk why. I ve seen them do it on TV . I m going to court and a fine will be sent. I just want someone to explain to me why I did this. I don t even remember when they had me in the room after they confronted me, like an hour ago. I know once when I was little I stole a chapstick and candy. I told the officer that too. Why did I steal at all and then so much. Nothing I actually really wanted or needed. I m of middle class, white, pretty good grades. I m seeing my councilor tomorrow but oh my God, why did I do it? |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 03:58 PM PST I have a friend who is always offering to help me out even picked my kids up from school occasionally if one of mine are sick or something. I try to return the favor by offering to run an errand for her or pick up her kids and she never takes me up on it. I'm very responsible and have four children of my own. It makes me uncomfortable not ever being able to return the favor. What should I do? |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 03:44 PM PST A friend of mine and I both work at the same place and there was a direct deposit problem and we were given printed checks. Hi stopped by to pick mine up and I knew that she would want hers also and I offered to pick it up for her. The company called her and said would you like her to pick up your check and then she said no thanks I'll get it I'm coming over there anyway. My feelings are a bit hurt because I offered to do it to help her out she has picked up my kids numerous times and brought them home and helped me out and I wanted to return the favor. I am asking myself why did I even offered because now I hope the company thinks that she does not trust me to bring her her check. I am extremely trustworthy and reliable so this kind of bothers me. You know it's not like they would give me her check without putting it in a sealed envelope. Just feeling kind of hurt because I was trying to do something nice. |
Question: Is it just me or do friendships come and go in your 20’s? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:52 PM PST I'm 27 but it seems I have made maybe one or two friends since graduating college 5 years ago but I have met some people who were my friends for maybe a month or a few months then they lost interest, or distanced themselves, or became cold, or grew apart. It seems like people come and go as I get older? |
Question: What to do if you have nothing to live for? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 01:50 PM PST My friends feel fake and everyone else that I know dislike me My parents know how I feel but they act like I'm fine I can't have nice things no matter how hard I try My dreams are all comepletely crushed What do I do..? |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:43 PM PST I am trying to have a party this summer for my daughter and her friends (about 20 people) but, I don't have a pool. I would like to put one in but I don't have the time nor the money to have someone or come in and build a in-ground pool. I would put an inflatable pool in, but my husband doesn't want his grass ruined. I don't mind getting a hot tub but I would need it to be a very good one and can fit our small/medium size patio So I need some advice on how or what to do about this. My daughter and her friends are 16-17 maybe 18 so it can't be any slip n' slide or kiddie pool. or just anything kiddie in general. |
Question: Something to do with my life? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:11 PM PST I am getting really depressed in my life. So, I just finished school, I have a very boring job, and I cut off pretty much all of my friends because they were going down a bad path. Now, I'm 21, and I have no idea what to do. I am getting an internship in the career field I'm going into, but I don't have anybody to do stuff with on my days off. I don't know how to communicate well now and I have put myself in an isolation that I no longer enjoy. I don't know how to start talking to people and carry conversations and I am tired of being both, almost completely friend less and not having a girlfriend. |
Question: Why does being in my kitchen make feel like puking? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:02 PM PST So I'm in college and live in an apartment with three other girls. Our kitchen is always dirty no matter how much I try to keep it clean only one other person really cleans up after themselves. The other two don't at all there is always spilled stuff everywhere , stuff on the floor and sometimes I food old food and raw chicken in the sink drain catcher. The stove is dirty even tho I clean everyday. I have talked to everyone about it and it's gotten better but lately when I go in the kitchen or make food I feel like I want to throw up. I don't even want to cook or be in there. I don't know if it's from the dirtiness or the smells. I don't know how to fix this problem I Know it's a me problem and I can't blame my roommates for this I just want to be able to eat and cook in my kitchen without feeling sick. The kitchen grosses me out so much. |
Question: I’m starting to resent my friend and I don’t know what to do about it. Please help? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 11:28 AM PST My friend and I met freshman year of college and we decided to be roommates the following year (this year). So here are the things she does that's making me start to resent her (we share a room and a bathroom, even though we have a living room and a kitchen): -leaves dishes in the sink for days -never cleans the bathroom -waits until the trashcan starts overflowing before taking it out -never contributes to buying household necessities unless asked to - leaves our room late at night and returns early in the morning (1-3am) waking me up (I have work in the morning) -doesn't wash her hands after using the bathroom -inconsiderate of her noise level -does NOT wrap her pads when she's on her period - buys me a gift every time we get into a disagreement, but doesn't change her actions -sets her alarm but doesn't wake up to it -sometimes she'll snooze her alarm and will not wake up for work/class, so i'll use the bathroom, and she'll get mad because she has to get ready for class I've talked to her MANY times about the issues we're having, and she'll either say, "I forgot" "I'm sorry, I'll try to change" and she'lol buy me a gift. I'm so sick of her and I can't change roommates. I've stooped down to the point where I'm treating her like she treats me, so far it has been working. But I feel like that is petty. We're both 20 |
Question: Need friendship advice? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 11:26 AM PST I have a good friend that I've been talking to for about a year now. We didn't actually meet and start hanging out until 5 months ago though. We started off as friends and then one night I was really upset with someone and hooked up with this friend (Bob). It was okay and we continued to hookup on and off for about a month. Then he started doing things that I wasn't comfortable with (i.e. trying to bite me and spank me even when I said not to). It got to a point where I wasn't comfortable hooking up anymore and we stopped, but still hangout as friends. I got into a relationship with someone else and Bob knows that, but still tries to do stuff when I am alone with him (I try my best to minimize this). He also gave me access to his Tinder account so I could help him get girls, so I read some of his messages and they were cringeworthy. He is a pretty good friend but can be a total creep, and I am getting really bothered by it. What should I do? |
Question: Help I have a dilemma please give your honest opinion I need a non biased answer!!? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 09:32 AM PST Basically I have a friend group of five, one of my friends decided to go to Spain with some friends this summer. My other friend who has a house in Spain invited us to go there for a week. My first friend then changed her mind and wanted to go with us but there wasn't enough room in the house and the person who owns the houses mom said no more people! Should we go without her or is that really mean or should the girl that is closest to the one that owns the house go and the rest of us stay home?? I really don't want to upset this girl but I also really want to go to Spain. Please help me out |
Question: Friend lied about giving me a Xanax? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 08:00 AM PST So I am 31 years old I have this friend who I've known for a few years. We went on vacation together and I took a picture of her in the water with her phone and as I clicked out of her camera, her text messages popped up. In her text messages she was telling someone how annoyed she was with me (I had been worried about getting to our flight on time bc of the gov shutdown) and in her text she wrote her she wants to just tell me to shut up about the government shut down and then sent her friend a video of me when I was drinking and wrote that I was drunk. (which I wasn't and who cares if I was, I'm not a biligerant drunk by any means) and the icing on the cake was when I saw the text that said "I gave her a Xanax, nurse Sara to the rescue." SHE DIDNT EVEN GIVE ME A XANAX. I called her right out on it, she said she meant to write "offered" me a Xanax but I don't think that's true bc she wrote "nurse Sara to the rescue" after. This is so childish, she felt bad but we haven't spoken since we got home and I feel like she's a really bad friend. Why lie about something like that, it's so bizarre. What do you think? |
Question: Why does he care so much? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 07:39 AM PST So here's the deal: I'm gay and what they call an "apostate." My friend is a heavy conservative christian. But he cares a lot about my feelings and he really wants to be my friend and doesn't ever want to cut off ties. But I don't know why he cares so much because we barely know each other and it's not like we're ever going to see each other physically again; we're just facebook friends. |
Question: Can heartbreak make you feel sick in your heart? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 06:45 AM PST So the last 6 years has been nothing but big thing after big thing then my ex cheated on me then my nan died, I wasn't aloud to see my son, one of my friends died.. I lost all my friends.. then one of my fave people ever died just before Christmas and I don't even know why but I felt like I needed to cry but it just wouldn't come out.. since he died it was pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back for me because I keep getting these sicky rushy tingly feelings in my heart which just feel purely like my hearts gone blacker than anything.. I don't even laugh anymore I don't hang with friends anymore I just sit in pure silence when I'm not doing anything.. I don't feel on a mental level with anyone anymore I feel like if I can't go out and be happy then it's not fair on them... also there's this girl I started to like and I feel like because I'm so misruble it woudlnt be fair on her... idk.. can u literally feel sick in your heart from heartbreak... |
Question: Feel embarrassed by what my roommate did to me what should I do? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 06:32 AM PST It was three years ago, I know its long time ago but I have a sharp memmory and cant seem to let it go. I took his small pillow (not the one he puts his face in) and masturbated on it in my bed. When he and his friends saw it they though I masturbated on his bed and his reaction is haunting me when I remmember how angry he became and how he told his roommates about what I did. I feel disgusting. |
Question: What should I do for my friend's valentine's day? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 06:04 AM PST First some context: So I have this girl that I'm absolutely in love with for both her looks and personality. Thing is, although she's never brought it up, I'm fairly certain she knows that I'm interested in her romantically, but afaik she doesn't want any of it. I can respect that, but at the same time it also means I can never try to be too good for her, even as a friend, because she'll just get awkward and try to distance herself from me. It's driving me a little insane because it almost feels that my feelings for her are becoming an obstacle in the way of our friendship, and I can't get closer to her. And all I want is to just have her remain a part of my life, even if it means all we'll ever be is good friends. So yeah, there's maybe a bit too much detail on the context of the situation, but then again I don't want to potentially make a huge mistake. My plan would be to get her a valentine's day gift, nothing too fancy but good enough to be considered potentially romantic. It'd deliver it at her house while she's not home (I'm not going to break into her house fyi), so that when she comes home from school with most likely no gift, so she'll atleast have that. But I'm going to try and make it so that she doesn't know it's from me, because I believe she might not be able to appreciate it in the same way if she knew. Should I do it or is it just a terrible idea? Also, incase I should do it, should I leave a letter in it with compliments or is that too corny? |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 05:27 AM PST So me and my friend threw an egg at our sort of friends house the other night and it hit his bedroom window and he found out today and says His mam is calling the police and Im in one of two minds as to whether he is joking so Am I screwed?? |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 03:12 AM PST Everybody accuses me of being autistic or different. People snubs me, I get bullied frequently and treated worse than a dog. I find myself normal. What should I do? |
Question: My friend spends more attention on our other best friend, what should I do? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:26 AM PST So i'm in a group with 2 other people, let's call them Sam and Sara. we're all really close but I've noticed that Sara spends more attention to Sam and cares more about her well being. For example when we have to study for math Sara will always help Sam but will never bother with me or just sigh, as well as when Sam wants to skip a lesson Sara will always say no focus on ur education but doesn't say anything when I skip. What should I do and is Sara a bad friend or is just closer to Sam? Is there anything annoying or bad with me? |
Question: Email from someone who says we used to be friends? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:44 AM PST I got an email from someone who says we used to talk online between 2007-2010 but I have no idea who this person is. The email sender acted like we were old friends, knew my fashion style, type of music I listened too from that period. I thought it might have been someone I used to talk but the sender told me he was not him. He also knew the job I has as a teenager, what I was going to study in college. What does this mean? |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:18 AM PST To then now that I'm successful |
Question: I let a friend who was homeless stay with me, what should she be doing for me? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 11:41 PM PST I told her 6 weeks to 90 days is the max amount of time I will allow. she has a job so I told her 100 dollars a month. the first week she helped with walking the dog and doing some dishes, but that stopped. she has not contributed to the toilet paper, hairspray or soap that she is using of mine. she watches my children and I clean. Im about to put her out here if something doesn't change. What would you suggest? What would you do if you were me? what do you think about this/ Respectful responses please she watches us clean, not she watches them and I clean. |
Question: I think my roommate has been putting water in my shampoo, but how do I ask her about it? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 10:42 PM PST My friend (roommate) and I share a dorm and a bathroom together, and we both keep our body wash, shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. Recently, I've been noticing that my shampoo has been really watery, but not my conditioner, so I didn't think anything of it. Then one day when I was washing my hair, my hair wasn't lathering when I put the shampoo in it, so I picked up my shampoo bottle and shook it, and it was mostly water. At first, I thought that water might have gotten in the bottle from the shower (we keep our stuff on the rack inside the shower), but if that were the case, wouldn't my conditioner be watery too?(it isn't). |

Question: I think my best friend is talking about me behind my back? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 10:27 PM PST My two best friends (m and f) are dating, and I live with one of them. I've been friends with F for 8+ years and I love her, but I think she's talking about me to her boyfriend. We've had a lot talks where she complains and expresses her frustrations with her boyfriend to me. She also gossips about other people to me. Sometimes when it's just the three of us, they whisper to each other and laugh and giggle. I care about her, but I'm also worried she may be betraying me to her boyfriend. I can't really ask him either, since he's been kind of an asshole to me recently and protects his girlfriend no matter what. What do I do? I don't want to lose them as friends, but it's hard to feel like I'm being disrespected. |
Question: Why does this girl pay attention to me so much when I literally don’t talk to her? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 09:36 PM PST There's this girl, I'll just call her Emma. She started giving me problems a year ago. She was dating my bf's friend at the time & she told my bf stuff I did 3 years ago. So I told her nicely that it wasn't any of her business to tell my bf stuff about me when she barely knows me or him. She apologized & said she didn't want drama & that I was pretty & she wanted to be "friends". I said thank you & we were cool for a while after that. Then recently she just started unnecessary **** with me. She heard about a disagreement I had with someone & all of a sudden "didn't like me" & was talking all this **** about me on her live on Instagram. She doesn't even like the girl that had a problem with me so I don't get it at all. I ignored her though. Then a week later, on her "best friend's" Snapchat, I saw him take a picture of someone else's butt. So I said something, I was like "Did she let you do that?". Bc this guy is known for taking pics of underage girls under the influence which is disgusting. Then all of a sudden Emma started more **** with me. Saying stuff like "Hop of his dick", "Nobody likes you" (when actually nobody likes her), & "I'm gonna pull up & knock your teeth out". It wasn't her in the pic so I don't get why she got so defensive. So I gave her my address & told her to pull up & then she blocked me. My bf & friend said something to her, so she messaged me apologizing & that she doesn't have a problem with me. Like wtf then why'd you start with me for NO reason. |
Question: People at work are excluding others in after work activities? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:34 PM PST So I am new at work. Tomorrow almost all the girls are going out for chipotle. The problem is only 2 girls out of 9 were not invited. Both of these girls have been pretty nice to me but they rub everyone else the wrong way. I am torn. I really don't feel comfortable knowingly excluding someone. But I know from experience that forcing people to include others doesn't work. Am I a horrible person if I go? Most of these girls are usually really friendly and I want to get to know them more. |
Question: Why does she show up early and just walk by a lot and wait? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:26 PM PST have known this girl for a few years and early on she tried to get my attention and acted flirty. Like she blushed around me and got red couldnt look me in the eyes. She couldnt even say hi first and when I did first blushd and smiled. She got giggly and laughed at all my jokes. Found any excuse to be around me, get close as possible and talk to me. Could only approach me with her friend besides her. Her friend couldn't talk to me. Well her bFF looked at her when I entered a room and said her name. Her BFF helped her approach me. She stared @ me in school. A teacher she talked to told me she talked about me. Well her friends stare at me when they see me around town. Then like family members noticed me like her cousins and they stare at me. I see her around town he places herself in spots she can c me and Ill see her.Well her and her mom have done mean stuff on my fb like they unliked a picture announcing my dads death when I blew her off. Then her mom removed my dad on facebook. Shes done dumb stuff like that. Well I go to the same college as her and she saw me in a class that is her next class. She walked in and saw me then sat down and stared at me for a few seconds. She showed up on time but after that. She shows up 30 minutes early before everyone else and then walk by the room looking in and then walks by the door when its open. She walks by at least 4x then stands in the doorway and then waits outside for when I walk out. She doesnt have her friends to help her. |
Question: Why would someone who is better than me at everything be bitter towards me? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:17 PM PST There's someone I'm acquainted with, who has participated in every hobby I have plus more and is easily one hundred times better than me at all of them (this isn't just an opinion either, we're talking I'm beginner or novice level and she competes professionally and is highly looked up to), is always having all kinds of once in a lifetime opportunities and traveling everywhere with tons of friends per her social media, while I live a pretty average and quiet life (which I love, but most find boring) with just a few close friends and am a homebody. There's no reason for jealousy, though other acquaintances have said she's jealous of me. We never knew each other too well, but I was always cordial on the occasions we did interact. She has always been very bitter and hateful toward me. I'm not losing any sleep over it or anything, but it just intrigues me because there's no reason to be jealous and I've never been rude, so I wonder what the deal is. |
Question: My friend is copying everything i do? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:52 PM PST For years my best friend has been copying me almpst every hobby I pick up she does picks up I thought that I was just being a possesive jerk when I would get upset about it but I never said anything to her It started bothering me when she found out I had gotten into wicca and soon she started too I got over it and stopped practicing and let her have it i didnt let it bother me Shes done this sort of thing all the time This next thing is probably silly but I still got upset by it anyways I had been talking about a book series that I knew she wouldnt be interested in so I thought it was safe for me to talk to her about Next thing I know shes talking all about how she wants them so bad, but had never shown any interest in them until I was reading the books at school and got alot of comments on the cover Again something I could get over Now she picked up embroidery and sewing, this just makes me so upset because those are just so personal to me because they connect me to my grandma and i know i shouldnt be such a jerk but i cant help it i just want something to be mine alone for once. I just try to stop telling her anything im doing or my hobbies just so i can keep my own individuality I feel like i can never be my own person she has her own talents ive never tried to one up her with them i just want to beg her to let me be my own person and for her to stick to her being herself instead if copying me I can barely even talk to her about myself in fear that shell take more from me |
Question: Why is it hard to make friends? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:29 PM PST I feel like I'm the worst at making friends. I was always the quiet girl. I'm very insecure about speech impediment. Therefore, I'm not that confident to just walk up and talk to somebody. I feel like I'm left out of everything and nobody cares about me. Does any one else have trouble making friends? I feel so alone almost every day. |
Question: Was this too passive aggressive of me? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:15 PM PST I live with my friend on campus, and at first, I loved it, but now I'm realizing that we're better off as friends and not roommates. We do not share the same cleaning habits and that's the biggest thing for me. For example, she waits until the trash can starts to overflow before taking it out. I'm the one usually taking out the trash when it gets full and I'm tired of doing that. So, one day, the trash was overflowing, and I already took it out, so I placed an empty trash bag by the trash can, and she finally took it out. I've talked to her many times about sharing cleaning duties, and her response is always, "I didn't realize xyz..." I kind of feel bad about what I did, but it worked. I'm tired of being the only one who washes dishes, cleans the bathroom, takes out the trash. She'll do those things (except clean the bathroom, she's never done that), but she'll wait days or weeks to do so. Was I wrong for what I did? |
Question: Im wondering how I should take back control of a situation with my girlfriend? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:09 PM PST Recently she has been inviting her friends over whenever we decide to hang out. The past four times we've tried to hang out alone shes used her friends as either a buffer for her or me (Cant tell) last minute. she invited me over a day after shes getting her wisdom teeth out to hang out with her since I was worried about her and wanted to check up. I gave up going to my friends 16th birthday and $200 tickets to be able to spend some time alone with her but once again shes invited our friends last minute. I've voiced my problem with this but she continuously uses the excuse that we spend plenty of time alone together and that she doesn't get the chance to hang out with them very often. Which I know is incorrect because we haven't truly been alone with one another for a while I voiced this to my father and he said that im constantly giving in to her whims and suggested that I take back control of the situation or at least show my disapproval by leaving her house early and going to my friends 16th while not staying the night like we planned to but im also looking for other ways to regain either control or to at least make her think about how shes making me feel each time she does this. Any Suggestions? |
Question: Friend lied about me taking Xanax? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:01 PM PST So I am 31 years old I have this friend who I've known for a few years. (which I wasn't and who cares if I was, I'm not a biligerant drunk by any means) and the icing on the cake was when I saw the text that said "I gave her a Xanax, nurse Sara to the rescue." I called her right out on it, she said she meant to write "offered" me a Xanax but I don't think that's true bc she wrote "nurse Sara to the rescue" after. This is so childish, she felt bad but we haven't spoken since we got home and I feel like she's a really bad friend. Why lie about something like that, it's so bizarre. What do you think? |
Question: Why am i always the friend to text first? why can’t anyone text me? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 06:31 PM PST i am getting kind of frusterated. i am always the one to text first and the one to make the first effort but i feel like no one makes an effort for me. it's like i don't matter to them and to their time. so today i didn't text my friend at all and waited for her to text me first and she NEVER DID! this just hurts me. what do i do? |
