Question: You wouldn't believe what my son and his GF did.? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 02:34 PM PDT I recently saw on my instagram that my son and his girlfriend went to a spa. As I flipped through the pictures I saw how insanely luxurious this spa was and worst of all, my son and his girlfriend not only got massages and argan oils spread over their bodies but they also bathed in wine. I SWEAR TO GOD this is a real thing. I even included the link on the spa's website. https://beaire.com/es/aire-ancient-baths-chicago/experiencias/402/the-wine-experience-for-one They were drinking wine while bathing in wine and having attendants massage their heads! Paying almost $1,000 for this service. How absolutely disgraceful, I am scared to bring something like this up to my 88 year old father who fought in Korea and my younger brother who fought in Kawait against Hussein. I honestly don't know what to do. How can my son be somebody like this? My relationship with his mother is based on love and not on material luxuries. How can I help him? |
Question: Is there a reason to not be neighbors and friends? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 02:34 PM PDT I need advice on our new neighbors Danny and Claire . We are actually the new neighbor! It is a rural area with only 5 houses spread out. My sister says we should keep our distance and only say hi based on our first impression of them. What happen is a few weeks ago as we were moving in is that Danny pulled up with their daughter Cynthia in his car. She was in a pretty dress which I notice she enjoys wearing often. I thought gosh she is really cute and our nephew would like her. They are both eight years old. Danny then went to a chair on their patio deck and sat down. He put Cynthia's across his lap and started spanking her over her dress. We didn't watch but he gave his daughter a pretty good spanking for something she did wrong. My sister did look over and noticed that Cynthia then had her skirt lifted up completely so her panty underneath was showing. My sister complain about Danny showing everyone his daughters white nylon briefs. Everyone would have been just us the next house over. I found out the reason was that recently she was spanked outside is that their baby was sleep in the house. Now since then they have been nothing but good friends with us. Yeah Cynthia seems to misbehave lots and may find Daddy's lap often but what happen a few weeks may be rare. So what if it isn't? Just don't look My sister thinks we should be cautious. Is she right? |
Question: Would a call to Child Protective Services be reasonable? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 01:36 PM PDT I'm 16 years old, I've lived with my mom and my dad my whole life. Even before I was born, my dad beat my mom, and even during the early years he did it a lot (he even punched my mom's stomach when she was pregnant with me). He's only slowed up in the last few years. Verbal abuse continues to persist against my mom and I (he only really hit me once when I was 3-4). Because of the abuse, my mom becomes emotionally unstable quite a lot, but only when he's not around. A lot of times she throws things at me, and she's hit me in the nose once. When dad is home, she doesn't allow me to talk about the incidents, or else he'll starting yelling at her. Around him, I'm usually not allowed to show any angry or sad emotions. We had an incident today. I was trying to help my mom with a computer issue, and she acted out. I acted out in response, but I ended up breaking a tiny thing on her computer by accident. She tried to break my computer, but I held her back. She then tried to kill herself, but I held her back. She threw things at me and told me she hated me. I pointed out that the thing I broke didn't really mess anything up. Dad came back and she wanted me to suppress myself, but I refused. I got in her face in front of dad, who got mad at both of us. I was forced to apologize. I don't think I can take this anymore. I'm at the point where I have to look out for my safety first. But, I want to find out if I can call CPS and get away from them, and if I can stay anonymous. |
Question: How do shelters make money? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 12:27 PM PDT I live at a shelter where they feed u 3 times a day, anyone can walk in and shower,They have a laundry room with 6 washers, and they have bunk beds. How is this place staying afloat? |
Question: Why do people act rich? Isn’t this risky? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 11:20 AM PDT I know some people who are barely making above minimum wage, yet they're leasing luxury cars and going on international vacations. Isn't this a surefire way to rack up debt and end up declaring bankruptcy in a few years?? I've never understood feeling the need to show off like this, why not save it and show off when u can genuinely afford it? I've never understood this mentality. It's sad when a family claims they can't afford to take their kids to college, yet theyre leasing a 80k car and constantly charging things on their credit cards |
Posted: 06 Aug 2018 11:20 AM PDT I just turned 18. My dad sold our property, my parents are divorcing, and we're moving. Student housing at my college filled up. I want to live at a room my mom rented in a house of a family friend much closer to my school. My dad gave me an application to rent or lease saying, "now that you're an adult fill this out" no question or anything. I don't even know how that works. My mom warned me not to. He's extremely irresponsible: hoarder, bipolar, sleeps all day, doesn't pay bills, doesn't pay taxes, credit card companies banned him, drives without a license, recklessly took out loans to buy a thriving business he drove to the ground almost foreclosing us and got into a million dollars in debt which is what half the money from the sale of our house was used for. I've been under massive stress, anxiety, and depression in the last year and I wish I were still 17. A few months ago I was only worried about AP Exams, Finals, Prom, college, anxiety, teen drama, extracurriculars and now suddenly society expects me to know how the whole f*king world works and be responsible for things I don't even understand yet that we're never taught to me overnight. What does filling out this application entail in terms of responsibility? How do I reason with someone bipolar that I don't trust him with anything financial or legal? He's even going to give me the money to start a business I'm passionate about so I don't want him to flip out. Please help!! Thanks! |
Question: This is a letter I wrote for my mom but I would never give her. Somebody help me? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 10:24 AM PDT Dear Mom, You have made my life miserable. You may deny it, but you are abusive. I am so very scared of you constantly. Living in fear and anxiety. These things will affect me the rest of my life. Never knowing when somebody will hurt me, if I can trust them, if anyone would show love to me. Or if they'll flip like a switch. You are unpredictable. Filled with anger and hate. And you take it out on me. You yell. You throw things. You throw fits. Over things that don't matter. Over things that most parents would shake off and hug their child over. You don't listen. You can't be wrong. Forgiveness is not a word in your vocabulary. You make me feel worthless. You make me feel like I do everything wrong. Because, in your eyes I do. In your eyes it's always my fault. In your eyes things like getting home an hour later or dropping a piece of paper on the floor is more important than your daughter or your relationship with her. If I tell you that I'm scared you call me unappreciative. You tell me I have it easy. But you don't understand. I'm scared. I'm so scared. |
Posted: 06 Aug 2018 10:15 AM PDT I am age 26 and living on my own but I'm terrified to stand up to my father. So I submit to his commands like a little child trembling in fear. My mother used to be the same way but she has softened as I've become an adult. As a child I was her weapon to use against others and she was mad at. |
Question: How do I get my mom to let me see him the alcoholic dad that I have? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 10:09 AM PDT My grandparents have offered to supervise so I'm not alone with him. My mom wants to get them back so she won't let me see him. |

Question: Grandma mad that my husband made a remark about her religion, not speaking to me? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 08:58 AM PDT My husband is a piece of work. Our church /pastor has preached about Catholicism being a "cult" and "sacrilege" due to worshipping saints. My grandma heard this and is angry at ME that my "husband" made this remark (he simply repeated what our preacher says). She is mad and has not spoken to me in years. SHE has identified as agnostic or atheist in the past herself and not her childhood religion of Catholicism. She will go years without speaking to me and thrives on these moments of ghosting me for a long time. 1- Why is it MY fault what my husband Ron said or what my pastor Jim said 2- Is this mature 3- Could this just be her mental illness returning? HE claims they pray to saints to get to God |
Question: What's the problem with my mom and my brother? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 08:30 AM PDT I have a brother that I feel like my mom always favors. If I do something that he doesn't like my mom will get mad at me, but if he does the exact same thing that I did my mom won't say a word. I'm npt here to sort out childish problems, I just feel like my mom hates me for some reason. Does anyone have a similar problem? What should I do?? |
Posted: 06 Aug 2018 07:46 AM PDT He's a drunk and I've called the cops on him before. |
Posted: 06 Aug 2018 07:45 AM PDT Our parents enabled bad behavior, myself included. When we were punished if we complained about it enough the punishment was lifted. Our parents also cave to the bad habits of the other spouse. My mom lets my dad lie and get away with it and my dad lets my mom hold grudges and divide the family. Basically we're a dysfunctional family thanks to our parents failings. So is there any hope for my sister now that she's 25 and acting like a 12-year-old? And is this normal when parents enable bad behavior like ours dead? Both our parents were failures at parenting despite having wonderful parents themselves. When we were punished if we complained about it enough the punishment was lifted. Our parents also cave to the bad habits of the other spouse. My mom what's my dad lie and get away with it and my dad lets my mom hold grudges and divide the family. |
Question: I lost my Grandma’s ashes? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 07:39 AM PDT Yesterday I went to a trip to hike in the mountains, I always carry my grandma in an urn necklace for good luck, but yesterday night I noticed the urn peice of the necklace was gone.It must have fell off the necklace from all the movement. I am so devistated and hurt that I don't know if I should go search for it of not. I feel so disappointed in myself. |

Posted: 06 Aug 2018 06:54 AM PDT He will talk down to her so terribly. She will say something and he will be like, "you said this, and I don t know what you mean by it because the definition is this. And blah blah blah..." I am well aware that my brother is a jerk. My dad started the business and my brother does good at the job but I can t stand how he purposely embarrasses her and talks crap to her all the time. Do I say something? Or is it my business? If I say something, will she be mad at me for saying something? And how to? |
Question: Touched my older sisters butt about 8- 9 years ago.? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 06:34 AM PDT Okay so I have an older sister that's about a year older then me. When I was 14 or 15, my sister went to bed. I don't know what got into me but I touched her bare butt, under her pjs. She woke up and flipped out on me and said she would tell my parents if it ever happened again. Everything obviously has been great ever since, we never had any issues and we're close siblings. This was about 8-9 years ago. I forgot about it but the memory came back recently. Does this happen to pubescent boys. Just confused about the situation |

Question: Why would my narcissist ex boyfriend who I have a baby with buy me Roses for my birthday? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 04:09 AM PDT Okay so we haven't been together now for 4 months. I decided I had enough of getting crumbs. He treated me so poorly I practically cried through most of the relationship and of course he had NO EMPATHY! It was my birthday 2 days ago and my door bell rang and it was a delivery from moonpig. When I opened the box it had 10 roses in it. He also got me a birthday card and it was addressed to my name and was from my ex narc and our 8 month old son. It's nice he got me a card but I just didn't understand the roses. And if they were from my son then surely I'd have a Mum birthday card and not To: my name. I use to spend the relationship begging for him to not leave and for us to always work things out and be a family. Is he bothered that I've finally accepted the way things are and have decided to move on and fully heal? Is his ego bothered I'm no longer chasing him and he got the roses so I start thinking about him? He's a narc so they generally have ulterior motives. Serious answers please. |
Question: How do I convince my parents to let me move rooms upstairs? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 02:39 AM PDT So basically all the rooms are downstairs and the upstairs is just a 'game' room. But recently nobody goes up there anymore because my dad doesn't want to climb upstairs anymore lol and my brother is moving out in like a week. I want this room because it's bigger, has its own bathroom and I can actually fit a desk in their to do my homework. I even offered to make my current room an office for them and my mom seemed to like that idea but still said no. And I'm pretty sure my dad doesn't mind, just my mom. Also I'm 16 and don't do any bad stuff like drugs and alcohol. Please help! (: |

Question: Do baby know the difference between a man or a woman? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 09:18 PM PDT My sister has a baby.. He's about 6 months old.. She's a single mom who lives with me and my parents... The baby always look at me, but I don't play with it because I don't know what to do with a baby... But everytime he sees a man coming in the house he gets excited, smile and laugh... I don't pick up or hold the baby because I feel weird... Nobody knows the father but my sister, and she never says anything.. She said she doesn't need a man in her life... It's basically just her and the baby.... I rent a room at my parents house, and I only come downstairs to eat.... I look at the baby once and go on about my business... One time he cried when I go back to my room.... I think he need a man in his life, but I'm not sure what to do... He grew up so fast.. I remember he was just an infant... I guess because I stay in my room too much... I'm kinda a bit selfish and only do my own thing (Self employed)... I don't get involve in people personal life.... |

Question: Why do my parents accuse me of stuff I never did? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 04:56 PM PDT My parents accuse me of things I never did, they say I broke something or that I did something I wasn't supposed to and all sorts of other stuff, it seems like they just want me in trouble |
Question: Should my husband confront his parents about lying on me? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 04:33 PM PDT My in laws lied and hacked into my phone and saw a text between a gay male friend my husband doesnt know where we pretended to be having an affair because my husband kept getting into my phone and sending private texts to others and we wanted to "give him something to talk about". It backfired, as these things do and his mother spread a lie that I physically cheated and have aids and stds and lied and said I am a drug addict criminal who is unstable which is untrue. They didn't win in their attempts to get the kids and a divorce (they tried to go to court and file a divorce on our behalf when we are middle aged!) He refuses to tell his mother to apologize claiming that he cant make her do anything, only God can hold her accountable, then proceeds to attack me for things I have said in anger 10 years ago to his folks or him! Who is right? |

Posted: 05 Aug 2018 02:42 PM PDT Okay, so my "sister" (I put that in quotation marks because I hate to call her that) is a big fat bully. Yes, she CAN be nice, fun, and likeable. However, that doesn't trump the fact that she is an overall nasty, mean, person. I am 17 and she is 31. Growing up I loved my sister dearly, but as I got older and started to see how she really was, I grew to really hate her. Today was the last straw, actually. Today I let her borrow my cellphone for business because she didn't have one. However, she decided to go through my text messages (some of them were dirty talk) and call me outing me as a lesbian to EVERYBODY. Telling me how wrong it is and just basically bashing and taunting me. She had literally no regard, respect, or concern for me whatsoever. Luckily, my family isn't homophobic so I'm in the clear, now. What should I do? Honestly, if it was legal and I could get away with it, I would kill her in the most painful way possible. I really despise and hate her. She is literally one of the reasons I have the outlook on humanity that I do, a long side the bullying and mistreatment i dealt with as a child in school. Anyways, what should I do? I have NEVER done anything to her for her to be this cruel and mean to me. I always loved her. I was always a really good little sister. Now, I hate her with a passion. Like, if it was a purge, I would kill her. |
Question: My family never does anything fun together? Posted: 05 Aug 2018 02:34 PM PDT We use to have so much fun. And I'm not talking about going out somewhere and having fun, I mean like having fun even in our own house. My parents use to invite their friends and kids who we were close to at the time over and we would eat dinner and then we would all go into the kid's living room and play the wii together or play hide and seek, jump on the trampoline or ride bikes but now that my brothers are 13 and 14 they never want to do anything fun and my dad spends most of his free time playing video games with my 14 y/old brother, while I sit in my room bored out of my mind because my mom says it's 'too hot' to go outside. We have fun stuff, it's just were never allowed to use it! Like we have a golf cart, and I asked if I could take my little sister on a ride for it and she again, like every single time I ask to go outside, said 'it's too hot.' It's 83!' (Its usually around 96f here) like I wish I was born in the time where you had to stay outside all day, then maybe somebody would hang out with me |
