My husband and I are 54 and 50 respectively, and we've been together since our 20s. He has always had a higher sex drive than me, and after we had children he says I changed, however we still have sex once a week. It's not like we never get intimate. I've recently discovered that he is having an affair. He did not admit to it until I confronted him. I am mad, sad, hurt, broken, angry, confused.. you name it. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all. The details are impossible to accept. For starters, the woman is half *yes, half* MY age and the affair has been going on for over 2 years. I asked him if he loves her or if it was just about sex. He admitted that he loves her but his love for her does not compare to his love for me and our sons. He showed me text messages that he sent to her saying he loves her but will not leave his family; that he loves being with her but feels like he's stealing time from her and that her greatest gift to him will be when she moves on and finds someone who can love her freely and purely. He said, "see I have tried ending the relationship but she begs me to stay." From the text messages I saw, he's right- she begs him not to leave her. It looks like my husband has never intended to leave me and he's tried to end the affair but it's killing me that he's been with her for 2 years and loves her, and he's kept it from me all this time. I know we'll need marriage counseling to work through this. I just can't wrap my head around this now.

They wont add me on any social media ,i never hear from them via text message . Is this normal ? I never talk to them so idk why they have a problem with me . They are friends with my husband ,i do hear from his parents ,just not his siblings . I know this a bit of a silly question but I just wanted to know how serious it truly is, given that my emotions have been so detached lately. I normally get up for work about 6AM, but this morning it was about 3AM and my husband was kissing on me, snuggling up to me, all while I was half asleep I am almost certain I didn't make a noise, I just tried to go back to sleep. He ended up climbing ontop of me and put himself inside me, I said no numerous times and he didn't stop. I fully woke up, got up and stood there crying for him to stop. He didn't hold me down or anything.. I just ran out of the room crying my eyes out. I had a friend over that night in our guest room so I slept in the room with her, he never said a word to me that night. But we had a heart to heart and he seemed to really understand he hurt me, and weeks after it happend again. That was about a year ago, he has never done it again but I don't want to kiss or have sex with him.. I find him insanely attractive even now but I don't have the desire to sleep with him. I know people say divorce isn't easy because you have to split everything but we don't have anything to split we're both broke & renting a ugly single wide trailer for $600/month, when i can live alone for half that price in another city 45 minutes away.
