Question: What is an immediate family? Posted: 21 Apr 2018 02:07 PM PDT Mom, Dad, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, 1st cousins? How about 2nd cousins? My mother said I'm the only person in the family that has been in jail. I told her that her late brother was in jail for doing drugs. She made excuses, "he was in the war" Then I said, "her grand nephew was in prison". She said he isn't an immediate family. I used to play with him when we were younger. He and I are in our 40s now. |
Question: I’m tired of my 18 year old daughter’s drama and crying over prom! How can a parent cope? Posted: 21 Apr 2018 02:01 PM PDT Lately, she and her friends started acting like middle schoolers! Petty fights about prom-related stuff that I don't even recall the full story. She seems unreasonable and immature compared to her usual self. There's this thing with the girls crying and stressing out. I never got involved, but when I see my daughter like this a lot, it upsets me. |
Posted: 21 Apr 2018 12:21 PM PDT My Dad, who is blind, is usually at work, or in the garage doing who knows what. My Mom is usually running errands, or sleeping. I use to be able to get a few conversations with them, and when I was sick, It would be fun to hang out with my Mom all day. But ever since my Sister did some very horrible things, causing my hole family to fall apart. I struggled growing up, fighting two other siblings for attention, and since my Sister was older, by three years, she got over-babied, but I was only around one when my Brother was born, so I had to share the attention with him, and seeing as he was younger and, quote on quote, 'Nicer', and I was the mean one, said by everyone, He got babied a lot more by my parents and grand parents. I was bullied very hard through out my younger years, only having one friend, being locked out of the school, called names, and I felt like no one was there for me. I have it good, and I feel like a complete brat coming to Yahoo for this. I have some sort of trust issue, and very low self esteem. I found the only way to get attention when I was young, and even now, is when my Mom yelled at me, so that triggered me to be more rebellious and destructive. My parents buy me everything I want, but really all I want is to hear them say 'I love you', or ask if I'm okay, and actually listen to me. I can't go to them for anything, they just call it 'Whining' or 'Complaining'. I'm so close to just breaking down, I physically can't do it anymore. |

Question: For the first time in my life, I yelled at my mom.? Posted: 21 Apr 2018 09:48 AM PDT I was playing a game when my mother asked me to do something. I told her I couldn t leave the game, but she asked again and again. It continues for about 5 times until dad forced me to turn off my phone. I was upset, so I reflexively threw a plate to the sink, and my mom said that I don t have to help if I don t want to. It has always been like this. Mom would tell me to sweep the floor, mop the floor, wash the dishes, she won t give me time to rest. Even when my brother is free, she always asks me to do it. I went to my room and cried, then my dad came in. I told him everything I felt for the past few years. He told me that because I am a girl, I have to do the chores, and that I envy my brother. Honestly, I never envy my own brother. I don t care if my parents love him more than me, but I just don t want to be compared with him. Then when my mom came in, I told her what I felt. She got mad and yelled back at me. It was the first time ever in my life that I got into such an argument with my mother. I always cry inside my room alone, but today I think she heard me. They might think that I am still immature, envious, etc. I actually regret telling them what I felt. Dad told me to think with logic, not with feelings. But, honestly, I am a girl, I think with feelings. Even though, I want to thing logically, but I was born this way so what should I do? It is really my first time getting angry with them like this. What should I do? It would be very awkward if I see them tomorrow. |
Question: Why does no one care about me? Posted: 21 Apr 2018 09:18 AM PDT Tomorrow is my 18th birthday and I have no friends to celebrate it with, my mom is going to work the whole day with her shitty retail job, and my dad will go out and run errands like a regular Sunday. This isn't a rant about my birthday (which won't be the first time I will be alone), just my life in general. I'm fed up with never having a happy day; since I moved to Texas when I was 10 I have been miserable with my life and I have never had any friends. My parents yell at me for the most pointless stuff every day and I'm done living every day in despair. I'm supposed to be going to a college we can't even afford this fall and I will have to end up busting my *** paying for it by the time I'm out, if I'm even alive by then. I'm don't want to end my life early, but I feel like I have to since I have nothing left to live for.. Anyone in/was in the same boat as me? (not that I want you to be, just curious) |

Posted: 21 Apr 2018 07:29 AM PDT The night that happened my older son was staying overnite at his grandmas, but I had my younger son with me. They saw a lot of arguing and kaos. I thought I set a good example by leaving my husband. Now my sons talk to me disrespectfully, and accuse me of abusing them when they were little. It is not so. Why is the abuse repeating itself when I did the right thing? I was a single mom after that, moved them to another state, and was always there for them. Now they are both married with one son each. Where did I go wrong? |
Question: What should I do about this boy's Father I babysit for? Posted: 21 Apr 2018 07:09 AM PDT I babysit a 5 year old and his Dad gets paid every two weeks. He said yesterday he'd pay me then ended up drinking at home after he dropped his son off at his mom's. Last night he said he'd drop it off this morning because he had to work at 7:15 and again never showed. I'm a stay at home Mom it's 10a.m. and he still hasn't showed up |
Question: Can step siblings date? Posted: 21 Apr 2018 03:26 AM PDT Say a step-brother and step-sister. Webster defines incest like this: "Sexual relations between people classed as being too closely related to marry each other." Now keep in mind step-siblings are only related by the marriage of their parents, and therefore they have no blood-relation to each other. So I don't believe incest would cover this type of thing. I would be and am very much against incest. I think it is wrong. However because the two people in question are not related by blood, and therefore it doesn't fall under the peramatures of incest, I don't see why there would be a problem. What do you think? |
Question: Was lying to a child I babysit a good idea? Posted: 20 Apr 2018 11:58 PM PDT I'm 18 and I do baby sitting part time. I know a couple who have a 7 year old son who I'm very close to. I've known him since birth and I've told him he can always come to me for anything. His parents recently did his physical check up and knowing that I occasionally go to the gym, they asked if I could have him exercise with me after school on Friday. Friday came and I took him with me. I went to the locker room and slipped into my usual workout attire, sports bra and tights. We did some basic things like push ups and pacing for about 45 mins and we had a great time. When we finished, we sat in the kid's area the gym set up and ate some sandwiches I made for the both of us. While eating, he innocently pointed and asked what was the silver thing in my stomach. I looked down and he was talking about my belly button ring. His folks are a bit touchy when it comes to attire and I didn't want to give a wrong message so I just said I was born with it and rambled into some science mumbo-jumbo. I told him it was a secret and he had to help me by not telling anyone. He said "sure, what are friends for?". I kissed him on the cheek and we did this pinky swear not to tell anyone. It's been a few days since then, and I feel a bit guilty for lying because he believed me so easily and I don't want to have lying become normal for him. |
Question: My mother doesn't want me to have a fun life? Posted: 20 Apr 2018 10:04 PM PDT She hates that I go places for fun. She rather have me stay at home with her, doing nothing. Having no life at all. Just stare at tv and get fat off of food. And my stepfather, He used to sit at the chair all the time... with no shirt, pot belly showing. Watching tv. I feel like I am more extroverted than them. Do you have a family like that? Just staying in the house all the time? |
Posted: 20 Apr 2018 08:20 PM PDT My son is 14 and taking part in the sleep study last weekend. There were a few dozen kids taking part in the study. They had to sleep at the hospital and they did ultrasounds on their bladders while they were asleep. They went friday and slept there that night and the next and went home Sunday. The problem is there was a girl from his school in the study. Now my son is afraid that she might let other people know he was there and he's a bedwetter. Is there anything we can do? |
Question: How do I deal with my moody, overbearing 12 year old son? Posted: 20 Apr 2018 07:37 PM PDT My daughter is 16 and my sons are 10 and 12. I had the same issues with my girl back then. He is suddenly opinionated and rude! I keep on reminding him, but it turns into a fight each time. My other kids are angels except for him lately, ever since he turned 12. He doesn't think about others as much as he should. It's a "me, me, me" mindset. I have less problems telling my 16 year old daughter or my 10 year old son to do chores, get off computer. It's only him that gives me an extremely hard time. I didn't have these problems with him before. A few years ago, it was my daughter who was the hardest to raise. Now it's his turn. |
Question: What can a 16 year old woman ask for on her birthday? Posted: 20 Apr 2018 07:26 PM PDT This is my last day of being 15!! My parents won't let me get a license or a credit card yet- but I really want to get my hair dyed or maybe a ring. |
Question: I feel like I'm going to get fired. I want to kill myself!!!? Posted: 20 Apr 2018 06:52 PM PDT It's been at least a week since I worked in my new job. I work in Macy's. It took me 3 more months to find another job. I had a job at Shoprite, but ****** up and got fired in less than a week, which broke my spirits. But i finally have a new job. Today, I feel like I ****** up on a task. I was supposed to scan clothes and pit then in a box and tape it up. Sounds simple. There were a lot of clothes I had to scan and since I have the brain of a goldfish, I forgot which ones I scanned or not. I organized myself by placing the clothes I scanned on top of the rack and the ones I didn't on the bottom. I still got sometimes confused saying "did I scan this?". So assuming that I did, I put it in the box and tape it up. I feel like I ****** up and im SUPER afraid that my supervisor is gonna catch it and fire me. My supervisor is really strict. I DO NOT WANT TO GET FIRED AGAIN!! I've went through He'll trying to find another job and if I lose this one, I'm gonna kill myself. Seriously. I would have absolutely nothing else to live for. What am I going to do???!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO DISCOURAGING WORDS OR INSULTS!!! TAKE THAT STUPID **** SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I ALREADY FEEL LIKE ******* **** AS IT IS!!! |

Question: Is this a wrong feeling to have? Posted: 20 Apr 2018 05:05 PM PDT Let's say you identify as heterosexual and are married and are not a pedophile but for some reason whenever you touch your son for an extended period of time or you're both laying on the couch watching a movie together, you get an unexpected ***** and you can't control you. You don't feel like this way with anyone else, not even your wife really, you just get this strange feeling as well as an unwanted ***** or erection. You don't want to hurt him or do anything like that with him, not that there's anything wrong with homosexuality, it's natural occurrence, you just realize that he's your son and you couldn't ever do anything like that. You also don't think about doing anything like that when the feeling occurs, it's just an uncontrollable desire. Is this feeling a feeling of love or some kind of mental disorder? I also don't want any religious perspective on this either, just scientific and fact based. |
Question: Would you still talk to your parents? Posted: 20 Apr 2018 02:49 PM PDT If you moved across country and have a family now and a house to take care. And you just get by with what you make but you still afford to see your parents.they have around 20000 in their account but they wont come see you. Instead blow the money on nonsense. Spend thousands on the grandkids and their very adult child who live with them. But send you hundred bucks and doesnt even come to see your kids. Put you in jail over something you didnt do because you wouldnt give them money and took your money when in jail and didnt bail you out. Bring up things you've done wrong 15 years ago and tries to sell the stuff you bought to you because they took it and wont give it up without cash. Would you still talk to them |
