Question: Why do most living beings tend to have social lives? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 04:16 PM PDT If you lift a rock at the beach, you'll see LOTS of little crabs, not just one. Same with clams: dig under the sand, there is more than one. Lots of fish tend to prefer swimming in schools. Not to mention with people, it's very rare to meet someone who has never had a friend in their entire life before... but when you come across them, they likely turn out to have mental disorders or depression that keeps them from making friends. Even with those people, most of them have had friends sometime in their lives, or before they had those issues. |
Question: Can I be taken to foster care for being a fake friend to ppl? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 01:48 PM PDT I'm in 7th grade ,and plotted to ruin an older girl's prom. She's really upset and said people who take kids away can give my parents a warning. I'm just NOtT loyal, that's all! I get that angry good feeling every time I betray someone. If I keep being fake to people over a long period of time, and everyone is super upset, will those people actually come investigate and take me away until my parents force me to stop? |
Posted: 18 Apr 2018 01:28 PM PDT Over time I have become entitled and a little stuck up. Do I sometimes question myself? Sure. Do I feel bad about my attitude? No. I feel entitled to good treatment, because I was always nothing but GREAT to others. I feel entitled to the finer things in life, because I work my *** off to them. I am kind of stuck up, because most people have not worked as hard as me, but still want to complain. One time, I caught an Uber across the street, because I didn't want to get wet in the rain. Everyone though that was stuck up. But if I have the money, just got my hair done, got no umbrella, and simply do not want to get wet, why not call an Uber? I am not sorry that my confidence and presence makes people feel insecure about themselves. I do treat people with respect, though. I am never actually rude to anyone, unless they are rude to me. |
Question: Ho perso l’anello della mia amica? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 01:16 PM PDT Ciao a tutti. |
Question: Why would this married friend be so worried about a friend having feelings? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 12:10 PM PDT Quick story, this girl and her best friend were super close years ago. Lets name them Mary and Jane. Mary began to have a crush on Jane. Jane didn't like her back and said she's straight even though she would do stuff that shows otherwise(cuddle, touchy, pet nicknames, compliments about looks, etc didn't do this with other girls). They continued to have a close friendship but had fights all the time. They stopped being friends. Feelings went away for Mary. A few years later, they tried being friends again. Now, Jane is married with a guy and has a baby. The husband does not know about the flirting(between Mary and Jane) or feelings that Mary had. Jane is so worried that Mary will have feelings for her again even though there's no signs of it. Jane does have anxiety in general. Mary reassures her that she doesn't have any feelings and even if she did later on, why would it matter since Jane is happily married? Mary tells her she would never act upon it if she did get feelings later on because she respects her marriage. Jane is still worried that she'll like her. Why is she so concerned??? |
Question: Best friend turned into "like buddie" and that's it? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 11:44 AM PDT I have a childhood best friend. The two of us were inseparable. However, the past few years have made it more obvious that she is moving on with their life without me. We've seen and talked to each other less and less over the past few years. It's been on a decline for a while, but it's at rock bottom now. We haven't seen or talked to each other in 9 months. I've liked her posts on Facebook and she has liked mine. I've tagged her in things only to receive a simple like back. I've commented things like "we need to hang out." No comments back. The icing on the cake was she never sent any regards after my beloved dog passed. Not one "I'm sorry for your loss." Not one sad face. Nothing. Silence. I feel like she doesn't care about me anymore. She has made zero effort towards keeping the friendship alive. Is it time for me to move on? |
Question: Is it a big deal ?!? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 11:24 AM PDT My uncle has my boss on Facebook , and I was just curious I didn't know about it ..so when I saw that they had each other on Facebook I went ahead and snooped on my bosses pictures and I may have accidentally tagged myself , idk how it happened but it happened I honestly didn't realize. I also was snooping at his wife's pictures and apparently the samething happened ..I tested everything on my friends what could have gone wrong and They said they never got a notification ..but I feel really embarrassed as I am feeling , and I've been like this all day . He actually came up to me and asked me if I tired to add him but I think he knows I was snooping . ☆ Sent from iOS Dr. Know! 1.1.04 |
Question: What is the best way to apologize for an ignorant comment? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 08:53 AM PDT I said something about a month ago that was really offensive. I did not realize it was an offensive thing to say until now. I had visited a high school to recruit for my college and the students were chaotic. The girls were barely wearing clothes in negative 30 degree weather, the kids were banging on our expensive equipment. When my friend told me that he had went to this high school, I asked "isn't that kind of ghetto?" I didn't know I offended anybody until last night when I was hanging out with some friends and the high school got brought up. Turns out I had offended three different people by asking this (that friend told our mutual friends who also went to this high school). I was really confused because I came from an inner city and where I live, people threw the word ghetto around and I genuinely believed it just meant kind of reckless. When I googled it last night I was horrified to learn it alludes to minorities and poverty. My friends say they are cool but we're just upset. I try apologizing but everytime I feel like I make it more uncomfortable by bringing it up wrong. |
Question: Please answer. Is she depressed? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 08:03 AM PDT My friend, she cuts her self. I thought she had stopped but today i saw her dabbing at an open wound. She was scared as hell when i found out about the injury and she made me promise not to tell anyone even though she kept trying to convince me that it was accidental. The thing is, she is always smiling, laughing and hanging out with EVERYONE. Everyone loves her so why is she depressed?? I mean her mother has been quite sick but that doesn't seem to bother her since everytime i bring that up, she changes the topic of conversation. |
Question: Should I hang out with my cousin who I haven’t seen in 9 years? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 07:50 AM PDT my closest cousin who I have kept in touch with mostly on Facebook and sending holiday cards now and then I have not seen in 9 years. I finally made plans to come back and visit so when I texted her the news saying "see you soon", with my flight info email all she replied back was so excited. I would never reply that to anyone even if I just saw them yesterday. Maybe she doesn't want to hang out. Should I contact her once I get in town? |
Question: Can a 18 month old learn how to make them self vomit? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 06:42 AM PDT My "friend" has said to me her daughter has put her fingers in her mouth and is making vomiting noises with her head down the toilet. Obviously I got the blame because I have a hiatus hernia and throw up everyday (not once put my fingers down my throat in front of her, not even sick in front of her. Mainly wondering if my "friend" did this just for a reason to stop me seeing my goddaughter? |
Question: How should I make things up to my friend? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 01:03 AM PDT I lived with three other roommates, including a friend I've known for over ten years. Suddenly things started turning up missing, belonging to me and the other roommates. It was way out of character for my friend to steal, but everything pointed to him. After a while, enough was enough and I had to kick him out. I found out just a few days ago that the other roommates set it all up to frame him. I kicked him out over lies. How do I make it up to him?? |
Question: Why do people do stupid stuff when high, or horny? Posted: 17 Apr 2018 11:05 PM PDT Just about an hour ago I've made a bad decision and had sex with My childhood best friend, when thinking with my dick and not my mind. We were friends since 2nd grade now in college, and since it happened I've been wanting to kill myself. I think I will. |
Question: My friend has cancer, should I plan something special for her? Posted: 17 Apr 2018 10:27 PM PDT My friend has just got a bad diagnosis and will have extensive surgery May 10th. We obviously will be visiting, but I wonder if it would be appropriate to plan something special for her at a Tea Room. We are very informal people but like tea party themed things, collections ect. I don't know if it would be inappropriate to try to fulfill one last tea party together maybe with some friends/family before the big day. We had once did a tea party before and it was so much fun at a small function we attended. Ever since, we have shared tea party ideas with each other on Pinterest. I don't know if I should just let good memories be. What is appropriate? Would it make her feel worse or better? I guess I feel muddled about planning a big gathering for such, but it would be her family who attended before if I included them. |
Question: HELP!!! I think I'm getting a polar bear for my birthday!!!? Posted: 17 Apr 2018 07:42 PM PDT So my best friend is getting me a birthday gift. her parents thought of it and we are very close so I'm afraid. Its definitely not inappropriate. Its not edible. It's expensive for a birthday gift. It's amazing and cannot be topped. All our friends said it is so good. it is small child size (the size is the best part, and she cannon wait to see me life it up). I can hand out parts of it to others. It is bad if i have no self control, especially if i use it the day before prom that I use it. My family is definitely going to disown me for the gift. I will make a lot of new friends with it, and it may or may not be allowed in our high school, I might just be questioned. I was asking yes or no questions and she made me think it's a polar bear. It is being shipped at the moment so it is not an animal unless you can ship an animal. help what are your thoughts on what it is? She is pretty positive I will not guess it. My friends and i are very creative and get ourselves into a lot of shenanigans so please help me! |
Posted: 17 Apr 2018 06:47 PM PDT I have a friend I met 8 months in grad school since I moved across the country for law school. We have been seriously close since then and attached to eachothers hips and always texting eachother. She has recently seemingly replaced me with this person in our cohort who she is obsessed with (on a friend level). She doesnt reach out ever anymore. I asked her how her interview today went and she told me alot about it and how it went great. She asked me how work was today. 1 hour later I called her and she didnt pick up. Then a half hour later I texted her that it went so well and I loved the kids! She will usually say, hey im busy i will call u back later", but instead she responded, "aw yay" you think she was being short because she was busy or prob because she was intentionally trying to be short. |
Question: Why would an employee stick up for his supervisor who has treated him very poorly? Posted: 17 Apr 2018 05:54 PM PDT A supervisor at a business has treated his employee very poorly over the last year. He falsely accused him of doing something serious and has berated him even calling him names at times. It was a horrible year for him. Finally the employee gets tired of it and goes to the head boss/administration to file a complaint and asks to be transferred to a different supervisor stating the reasons why. They transfer him to a different supervisor. Before leaving though the employee asks administration to please not punish his old supervisor. He says that while he had a bad experience he knows that the supervisor has many positive qualities and is loved by many of the other employees. And that he is an asset to the company and should be retained for the good work that he does. and states that he will feel a loss with him no longer being his supervisor. Why would the employee stick up for his former supervisor? what motive might he have had to do that? |
Question: Should I quit talking to this guy? Posted: 17 Apr 2018 05:47 PM PDT A few weeks ago I traded him this cheap katana for a nice punching bag, and you know what he did with it? He took it home and started hitting the sh*t out of it with another sword and he expected the blade to not get screwed up. I said "Duh you hit metal with metal super hard, you idiot". And he says "A sword that breaks when you hit it is not worthy of being a sword". He sold almost all of his cars in GTA 5 because they are made by ford IN REAL LIFE, so it's not like it's the same thing in a video game. And he hates ford. He doesn't understand logic, he thinks whatever comes out of his mouth is the truth, and when I tell him to look it up to prove him wrong he refuses. He literally thinks he's smarter than me because he gets straight A's. He keeps telling me that I get straight F's even though he's never even seen my grades. He may be better in school, but that doesn't matter. I can't be myself around him. I have to play along with everything he says because if he disagrees with my OPINION, then we get into an argument and he tells me I'm wrong. If someone his own size messed with him, he refuses to fight. But if someone smaller talks sh*t he wants to beat them up. He's basically a bully. He constantly mocks me, but when I do it to him he gets really mad. I only hang out with him because his neighbor is hot and sometimes after he falls asleep I go over there to hang out with her. That's the only time I get to see her. Should I quit hanging out with "my friend" anyway? |
Question: Question about my legs ??? Posted: 17 Apr 2018 05:47 AM PDT Do they seem strong enough ??? |
Question: I think my family keeps doing this because I'm short ???!!!!!!!! Pls help??!!!!!!!? Posted: 16 Apr 2018 06:32 PM PDT I hate them so much even if they were stu pid there's always a reason right but I notice they do this every time when they walk past me but I will describe it in a different way and how it makes me feel like this . And honestly I'm not a little kid anymore but it really deeply pisses me off I just want to punch them in the face but I know I can't confront them I mean even if I do I had it this it won't change.
