Posted: 24 Apr 2018 12:27 PM PDT My girl friend says it's not normal and she doesn't feel integrated in my family. But it's Mothers Day not girlfriend day. I told her if my mom just wants to spend the day and have some alone time with me whats wrong with that. She also says that it is going to interfere with her birthday, but her birthday isn't until 2 days after Mothers day. She claims my mom is trying to Sabotage that and says in her culture they celebrate a Birthday all week. Am I in the wrong or am I dealing with someone who is selfish and is not understanding of anything? |
Question: Travelling alone with someone of the opposite sex, is this okay in a Christian faith? Posted: 24 Apr 2018 12:09 PM PDT I am planning on visiting my friends house this summer, but I don't own a car to drive there. Her brother, who I am very good friends with, has decided that he will drive down and pick me up and we can make a little road trip out of it. It will be a 6 day roadtrip, so we can take time to sight see and visit certain places of interest in each of the states we will have to drive through. I am 18 and a Christian, I still love at home with my devout catholic family. He is a couple years older than me, and agnostic. As a Catholic, would this be considered wrong for me to do? Are there any tips for how to tell my family that I am doing this and how to avoid conflict? Any tips about road tripping with someone of the opposite gender? All help and opinions are appreciated. |
Posted: 24 Apr 2018 11:49 AM PDT I am a 25 year old male, who has been in a homosexual relationship with my partner (23) for the past two years and I am in need of some advice on how to deal with the issues within our relationship. Prior to being with me, my boyfriend was with an abusive man who physically, verbally, and sexually harmed him, which made him have extremely low self esteem and trouble with being touched in any manner. He tells me that his skin is very sensitive and that it is painful to have someone else touch him. In the two years that we have been together, we have hugged once and maybe held hands a handful of times, but that is all. He usually does not allow me to touch him unless he has control of my hands and is guiding them and things such as kissing, hugging, or intimacy are close to non existent, and even a night he creates a barrier of pillows and blankets to stop an accidental contact. He even refuses to change in front of me or have me change in front of him. If he is touched without controlling it, he will have actual breakdowns. He'll cry and try to hide himself and say that it hurt's him. In some cases, if he is really caught of guard, he can even slap or pinch. He is just a beautiful person, with such a loving soul and I absolutely love him with all my heart, but it pains me to see him so afraid and hurt. I want to show him what love can be like and how gentle it is meant to be, but he won't let me try. I need advice on how to show him. Thank you in advance for any help. |
Question: Am I in the wrong at work? Posted: 24 Apr 2018 11:16 AM PDT I'm curious to see what others think of this. I work with these two girls (I'll call one Mary and the other Ann) Ann asked Mary the other day "Hey I have a question for you since you're Indian. What class are you in? I know there's upper class, average and like poor. Which category are you under?" Mary got extremely mad about that and I don't blame her, Ann shouldn't have asked that. Well yesterday Ann came over to Mary and I and started talking about a terrorist attack. She said "It's so sad how Muslims kill in the name of Allah. That's why I don't like my daughter hanging around them in school. You never know anymore about someone's intentions. How can muslims kill innocent people because it says to in their book" all I said was "All culture's and religions have good and bad. Plus we shouldn't be talking about religion at work" Mary was offended by what Ann said because she is Muslim. She told me "please come with me to the HR manager, we're getting Ann in trouble" I told her I didn't want to get her in trouble and Mary got mad at me and said how she can't believe I won't do anything about it. I just don't want to get anyone in trouble, I simply just ignore Ann when she says things. I then told Mary "If you feel offended, I agree you should go to HR. But I don't want to" Now Mary is mad at me saying I agree with Ann which is totally untrue. I just don't like drama and I personally want nothing to do with it. Is this wrong of me? |
Question: Would this annoy you? Posted: 24 Apr 2018 10:32 AM PDT My boyfriend's mom is really nice but she says some things that really bother me. For example, every time we meet with her, she says "What's new?" And we always say "not too much, just working a lot." Because we both work a ton and when we don't work, I try to tidy up the house and I'm more of a homebody. We like to watch movies at home. She then starts saying "You both need more fun. How do you just work and then sit at home. You need to do more things!" And then she brags about how she's looking forward to all there vacations and trips she's going on. But she also tells us things like "You both need friends. That's why you're boring, because you have no friends" I do have friends and we hang out sometimes but they also have been busy lately (they go to college and work) so it's hard to see them all the time. Would this bother you? I just get so annoyed when she brings up how we need to do more things. |
Question: Non sopporto nessuno? Ho 16 anni, potrebbe essere legato all'adolescenza, oppure a cos'altro? Qualcuno ha dei consigli da darmi per superare questa cosa? |
