(let's call him Sam) but there have been multiple times where he took his friends over me. the only time was we can actually talk, and that's briefly at the end of the school day. we have one class together and yea we say hi to each other.but he turns and starts chit-chatting with his friend (we are gonna call him jack). jack is basically the reason why I and sam is together. but other than that he's always is our business. and sam even lets him, actually he joins in, every time me and Sam are talking about our problems jack comes in and they both argue with me and I let them win. (really I don't like arguing) but today really made me upset. my whole grade was treated to the movies,(black panther) and while I'm getting a soft pretzel sam asks me whether or not if we are sitting with each other. I said I guess, and when we got in the theater he noticed jack didn't want to sit in the row that I was already sitting in. I didn't want to get up, their good seats and really their only moving two rows up. but sam moves and sits with Jack, without no hesitation...sam doesn't even text me nor call me, all he says is that his phone is off but, really all the time? I don't think he's cheating I trust him. but what should I do, I know I should confront him but what should I say? |

At first glance that may sound bad so let me give you some background info to work with! He's 15, a year older than me and he has been one of my close friends for about 2 years now. I have been dating him for only 10 days, but he has texted me every single day and ALWAYS puts me as his 11:11 when he catches it. He has only had a handful of girlfriends in the past but they ended up cheating on him or being a hoe or etc. Me and him have always kinda found each other attractive but before this i would have never admitted it to him because then everybody teases us. A lot of people think he is ugly, but i don't because under that he's a truly caring and sweet person who always makes sure i'm okay with him kissing me and cuddling, and he's always giving me his flannels and stuff if i am cold. There's only a few things i worry about him, which i want some advice on. He smokes cigarettes, and i absolutely HATE them but i have kinda found myself not hating the smoke as much because it reminds me of him. It makes me mad because sometimes when me, him and our squad hang out when i visit every spring, summer winter and fall break he'll go off to have a cigarette for like 10 minutes. She gave me no explanation and I never felt like I got closure. We seemed so happy, there were no issues at all. We didn't argue, we talked things out. She went to study abroad for a month on the other side of the world. We kept in contact pretty well and she told me she was making many friends. One particular guy friend she seemed to be getting really close with. Her contact became less frequent, less excited to talk to me. It was hard with the time difference and with me working all the time but I knew everything would be fine once she came back home. Needless to say, she broke up with me and got into a long distance relationship with the guy she met while abroad and she promises me that she didn't cheat on me while abroad. I tried to get her back months ago especially seeing that he was treating her like crap...but she is either too scared to leave him, or too prideful to admit she made a mistake and apologize to me. Hours felt like minutes together. She is late 20's but hasn't dated much, hated being touched, did not display feelings normally, which I knew that would complicate things. Thought I felt her pull back a little after our 3rd date. Didn't respond to my follow-up "nice to see you" text. The week before it took her a few days to reply to a "let's get together soon" text but she apologized saying she was busy. So a month ago I was already starting to feel anxiety of hot/cold. Our next date was a week later and it was excellent. Told me she had never had a guy in her life like this before and it made her feel really good. Made me feel really at ease that maybe this was going somewhere after all. Then she went cold the following date. Didn't respond to a happy easter text. I sat it out for about two weeks, giving her space to miss me feeling, with tons of anxiety not knowing what happened. Finally reached out this weekend. She did some soul searching and would rather be alone since that's all she's ever known. I played it cool and we agreed to be friends. She offered to help me on a project I'm doing. A much better ending that simply being ghosted. It still stings hard and I'm still dwelling on it most of the time. I think it was the hot/cold roller-coaster ride of the last month combined with the fact I REALLY liked her that sucked me in. Anyone ever had this happen before? |

He took me out and paid for most things.After being with him for a while,we Made it official verbally that we are exclusive.We had sex only a few times.But during our first month of being official we agreed to go on a sexual fasting for spiritual reasons.We still went out to eat but I never paid anything or offered to chip in.After two weeks he started to be super distant and Hardly text.I felt like I was forcing him to talk to me bc he wasn't expressing what on his mind even tho I still went over to his house.I started to become unhappy bc he seemed unhappy.We still were doing The sexual fast during the month. .I started to worry about our status and express to him I'm not happy and even thought of calling things off. He said that I don't put any effort to the relationship and that to him it feels like we are just still dating. I took note to this and thought I should give more like chip in when we go out and maybe be willing to cook for him sometimes.He said I don't know how to be in a relationship. Posted: 10 Apr 2018 03:23 PM PDT I'm 15, he's 17, we both have a rough past but more specifically he was kicked out of his house and basically all his friends and family abandoned him. Basically he's really clingy. He also works weekends from 2-9pm and Friday, Monday, Tuesday from 4-9pm. He usually comes over to my house for 20 minutes before work but still gets upset that I don't see him enough. I am also sick and was out of school for a few days and he insisted on calling me at 5AM because he wanted to hear my voice. I am sick. I need sleep. He also got upset and said I was avoiding him because I was asleep til noon and didn't respond to the six texts he sent and I veiwd them and my mom called before I could reply and he filliped and said I left him on read. He also got mad at me for texting my friends (who are guys) but are no threat to him which I've assured him. When I tell him I want space he just guilt trips me. Idk I really am so confused and just feel smothered (I've also been having nightmares like ghosts and rape) apparently these mean feeling haunted and powerless. Ultimately, we stopped talking and he realized his mistakes and I really loved him so I decided to try and make it work again. In the beginning, he would try for me and surprise me with flowers and ultimately things were good. Around the winter time, I become upset with myself and I just started to develop all these thoughts in my head and question him and it has taken a toll on our relationship. Sometimes we agree it's best we take a break but we love each other and decide don't want to be together. But my boyfriend seems as though he is so comfortable now, he doesn't really try for me and we just go out to eat on Fridays and go right back home. His excuse is that since I question him so much it puts a toll on what he wants to do for me but it makes me feel like he doesn't care about me. Yesterday I think he sent me a text that wasn't for me stating "I was planning on washing my car after the gym but we will see lol", we weren't talking about washing cars and his story isn't quite straight saying he might have meant to send it to his friend because he was high and they talked about before that day. Today is his birthday and he doesn't like attention on his birthdays and I'm the type who wants to play ost but I feel like he wouldn't appreciate it. :/ |
