Question: Help! What should I do? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 05:16 PM PDT My friend and I travelled together for uni abroad. She paid my flight ticket and most of the expenses from her own money as my family refused to support me.When we moved in together, she started drinking heavily. I knew she grew up between 2 alcoholic and abusive parents and was almost raped in the past. One night she got really drunk and we fought. She accused me of using her and screamed at me "I'm paying everything for you and you don't appreciate it" I started distancing myself, not wanting us to sleep together or cuddle how we used to. I was afraid of her. Then we decided that I'll move in with our other friend and we barely spoke. Another night we fought and she grabbed me by the neck and tried to strangle me. I used to attack her and bite her sometimes, leaving marks on her. Also sometimes she would panic and start shaking and saying "mom please don't hurt me." Bystanders intervened and police got involved. he took the blame for everything, and then later came to apologize to me. Whenever she would come to talk to me, she'd apologize and sometimes break down. I noticed she had cut her wrists a few days ago and I stayed away. These days I see her much happier and I found out from our friends that she forced herself to stop drinking. Yesterday, she cooked lunch for me. She then sat me down and said "I will always love you because we're family." She dropped food by my dorm the past few days. And she asks our friends about me. Is she really the same person I loved?
Question: I feel like my friends don't care about me.? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 04:06 PM PDT i have two groups of friends- internet and real life. this problem is with my internet friends. ive met a couple in real life, btw. so i feel like they dont care about me because whenever i post vents or say im sad and need help they never respond, but respond with "OMG are you okay???? talk to me if you want im here i love you" and stuff to the other people in the group. yesterday my mom got severely injured in a car crash and most of my friends just ignored it. it's stressing me out a lot and makes me really sad
Question: How to make new friends/be less shy at practice? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 03:30 PM PDT I joined track (high school) and I want to become better friends with my teammates. As of right now I can have friendly conversations with some of them but I'm not really friends with any of them yet. I've always been shy and initiating conversation has always been my biggest issue. As soon as I feel a bit comfortable around them I'll have no issue talking, but right now I just stay quiet out of fear of saying something dumb/them not wanting to talk/them not caring about what I have to say. I've always felt different around most of the kids in my grade because I'm not particularly cool (I go to two schools; one being a nerd school). I have my friends and I'm pretty confident, I just want to meet new people, but I just feel shy. Any tips to starting conversation? Season ends at the end of may and I don't want to end the season without making friends.
Question: I'm sad because I can't be their friend? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 01:48 PM PDT So I really want to be friends with old classmates from middle school. The problem is, is we live all over the state we live in. I contact them once in a blue moon and it seems like they'll reply for a little bit, then stop. What have I done wrong? Why won't they be friends with me? And I'm always polite to them. We all were in a special education class together for a few years. They don't live really far away but I'm sure we can figure something out if we hung out. I have not seen them since I was 14 (I'm 25 now). One of them is friends with another old classmate and I'm jealous. Someone told me I should not reach out to them again for a while because they may get the hint that I'm wanting friends. And that they may feel like I'm bothering them. I met up with another old classmate a few years ago, it was nice. But after we hung out he texted me less and I haven't heard from him since then. He did know I wanted friends. I can't let them go for some reason.
Question: Shall i move schools ? please answer? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 01:30 PM PDT so ever since i started 7th grade i've had no friends cuz of bad mouthing etc. i've made some friends up till now but they always end even my recent one has. now i'm completely alone and it's horrible to go through. I'm tried seeing everyone having a great time with friends and i can't go through that. Now i'm in 9th grade and i'm just had enough. I was recently thinking if i should move schools , maybe be more assertive, cuz i'm just tried of the bullying and what not 😞😞
Question: Paranoid that people are talking about me? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 12:26 PM PDT Hi. So I have bad anxiety and I worry an awful lot I'm 16 and female (junior in high school). Today I walked past a group of people and I could've sworn I heard someone say 'is that her?' But there were so many people around us as it was lesson changeover. Could have been about anyone. And I know for sure that I haven't never done anything ... not sent nudes or bitched about anyone or even argued about anyone. I'm generally a quiet person at school. But I over think! So obviously in class I was a little agitated and people in class were laughing and whispering (probably happens every lesson but I was super worried) and I was terrified that it was about me. Help?!
Question: My friend needs help? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 09:09 AM PDT So I heard from my friends sister, let's call her jinx, that my friend, let's call her fee, that fee has been being beat by one of our EX friends. But, I don't know wether I should confront her about it. I'm worried she'll just deny it then get mad at her sister. Please awnser I'll only get one chance to get her away from people, today. Plus she wears long sleeves and pants every day so it's not like we can see bruises.
Question: Why are people so immature and lazy when talking they only say “Oh” or “K” to everything? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 09:00 AM PDT It seems like when trying to have a conversation with certain people all they say is "Oh." Literally every sentence "Oh." I tried to catch them in it asking a question and it's, "Oh." I hate that sh***. It's simple if you don't want to talk to someone then say so why lead someone in and be immature? It seems like ever since messenger has been around people are more prone to that. I miss the old days when people would talk more and have more in depth conversations. Now it seems like fake friends everywhere...Anyone else run into this? I'm hating that word "Oh" and most especially that letter "K!" I would much rather someone to not respond back at all than with that! It's everyday people I knew. I was the one always messaging first then I stopped it or the one making plans. But I have cut them off because I feel like I'm not going to keep making effort to be friends or social to people who are not back it's a waste of energy. It would be one thing if they were working and busy lives they don't do any of that. So it's not like I'm getting all bent out of shape if someone doesn't hold any conversation or effort. It makes you feel lame when messaging someone something and all you get is "Oh" every time!
Posted: 12 Apr 2018 06:20 AM PDT I started my own realty business a few months ago and started my own Facebook page for it. I reached out to several of my friends asking to share the page on their own so they can spread the word. These are friends who I've known many years and who I have always went out of my way to help and send referrals to their business, etc. Their lack of support is making me second-guess our friendship. I would think friends & family are the first people most would expect to support you, however, it seems like half of my friends (and my spouse's family) are giving my business the cold shoulder. Do you think I'm over-reacting? I am so hurt because I go out of my way to support people and now they refuse to even share my business Facebook page or spread awareness in other ways.
Question: What can I do about my uncles gossiping and rumour spreading wife? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 04:49 AM PDT I'm 18 years old. and I just moved to a new neighbourhood with my family and my uncle and his family moved in next door. But uncles wife is always gossiping about others. So I stopped spending time with her and my uncles family. Recently I found out that she was spreading rumours about me. A good friend came and told me that she was befriending our new neighbours and trashing me to them. I thought that was a bit far fetched but when I would walk down the street and greet our new neighbours like I usually do, I saw that they had started to ignore me. And as I walked past I heard them mutter to themselves the same trash talk my good friend told me my aunt was say spreading about me. So what should I do about this woman? I've tried talking to my uncle about it but he wont believe me and also my parents tell me to just ignore her and they neighbours who are buying into her gossip.
Posted: 12 Apr 2018 04:39 AM PDT Long time friend is constantly tweeting her boyfriend & retweeting things, yet barely responds to my calls/texts(months). She blames her distance on stress from her family& work. Im not really that excited to continue a friendship as Im not into reminding people we're friends. Now that she is visiting my amazing city for her work, she is now magically free and has called me twice a day(I havent answered). Would you show this friend around your city(inconvenience to me this weekend) or ignore her like she has ignored you?
Question: I think my sister thinks I’m gay? Making it kind of awkward? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 04:02 AM PDT Whenever I am FaceTiming my close friend (we are both girls), my older sister is always shouting things like "you two should get married" and "I ship you two" which is really awkward and cringy and makes both my friend and I kind of uncomfortable. I genuinely believe that my sister thinks I'm gay. She jokes about me marrying my friend and stuff in private and usually I just stay silent because I feel that if I seriously address it and tell her to stop, that'll kind of "confirm" her suspicions. I also tend to just joke and say stuff like "sure, I mean she's rich," in hopes that she can just sense that I'm messing around, but that just seems to urge her on. I mean, nothing against gay people, it's just awkward when she's yelling this stuff over FaceTime and I really don't appreciate it.
Question: How to get a friend back? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 03:04 AM PDT My friend told me she can't be there for me anymore. How do I get her back?
Question: Why my best friend always trying to make me feel jealous of other girls? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 02:41 AM PDT She says for other girls that are cute and pretty and she look at me when she says that to see if i am jealous She also compare me to other girls to prove me that they are better and prettier than me.... I cant understand why she do that!i am not a jealous or hatefull person!

Question: Straight people: 2018 is your year, okay? Posted: 11 Apr 2018 10:24 PM PDT You win. Have fun with it. Enjoy. Because we're screwing ourselves up.
Question: How to tell if people are jealous read below? Posted: 11 Apr 2018 09:43 PM PDT I go to private school and I dislike it but love it . People avoid me and try to fake their were out of being with me . Only 3 people don't act like that but I notice people staring at me too even teachers which freak me out like almost romantically people steal my jokes and hair style I notice and avoid me I been think to switch skewl cuz 1 it is ridiculously expensive their price for crappy education I know this isn't in my head . But I noticed teachers give me a lower grade than other people get wrong like I got 6 questions wrong and my 'friend got 8 wrong and got a 2 point higher . I wish I could tell the principal about this because my grades are a roller coaster even worse this year even though I get very my best effort sometime lol but it's unfair for their shitty price
Question: What does vulnerable mean? Posted: 11 Apr 2018 09:09 PM PDT My facilitation for class ended up being more like a presentation because I had everything planned. For example, what to say, my own answers, etc. I asked my prof for feedback, and he thought everyone was great but to have less planning and that "it's ok to be vulnerable". Does this mean I looked defensive?
Posted: 11 Apr 2018 09:01 PM PDT In 2nd grade, I met my best friend, who was then in 1st grade. We met at school, and discovered we live only 1 mile apart. We were always together, until we went to different schools in 7&8th grade. Now in 9&10th grade, we still talk, but rarely see each other, and it scares me. I actually switched schools again this year, with completely new people. At her school, she made new friends right away, and now has had them for years. I feel like as we talk less and less, I don t really know much about her anymore, and I m losing my best friend.
Question: Could you continue a friendship with someone who is abusive to their spouse? Posted: 11 Apr 2018 10:38 AM PDT Also does the type of abuse make a difference like would you be more inclined to continue being friends with someone who is emotionally abusive as opposed to physically abusive or vice versa.
