Question: How to tell my friend of 4 yr to move out? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 04:21 PM PDT She is VERY low income. I get free rent with job so I do not charge her anything & I cover the power bill. She has cable bill & cell phone that I know of and she is always stressed about money & pinches every penny to tight oil could come out. I may get a job transfer and I do not want her to move with me. I am happy to help people when I can but if I make the move her staying with me would cost me money. I have already talked to her about the transfer & she is expecting to move with me but I thought about it and I just cannot see paying $100/ mo for storage for my stuff when I would not have to if she does not stay with me. I can't be heartless & just kick her out though I have every legal right to give her a notice to vacate at any time. Stressing out how to go about this. Should I just rip the bandaid off so to speak? |
Question: How to start a nasty rumor about yourself? Read the whole thing! I NEED ANSWERS FAST!? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 04:19 PM PDT Hello. I need to know how to start a rumor about yourself. And please do not say, "Do not do this. You will regret it for the rest of your life." I'm moving to a new school! And, another thing, also do not say. "Just because you're moving to a new school doesn't mean you should do it." I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW TO SPREAD A RUMOR ABOUT MYSELF! But it has to be a bad rumor... I do not want to tell my friends to tell it for me because I am not going to tell my friends what I'm thinking. I AM NOT! So don't say, "Tell your' friends to start the rumor." Just, please give me ways to start a rumor. A bad rumor about myself. I NEED ANSWERS FAST! |

Posted: 23 Apr 2018 02:41 PM PDT I have mild opthalmophobia, and cannot take any level of eye contact at all. The issue is, several of my friends keep extremely intense eye contact, even when I'm not talking (eg. We're in a group, they'll be looking at me even if I'm not talking). How do I politely ask them to not make eye contact/ look at me? Note: I've tried looking away, but even seeing them in my peripheral still makes me uncomfortable. |
Question: Should I email this woman from my internship I was attracted to? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 02:17 PM PDT Last summer I interned at this local real estate office. When I was there, there was this good looking single mom who worked there. She asked me if I drink, if I have a girlfriend, and if I want kids. I thought she may have been a little interested in me. However, I needed the internship to graduate. Therefore, I didn't want to potentially ruin the experience by making things awkward between a worker and I if she rejected me. When I finished my internship last August, I promised I'd come back and visit everyone but I didn't go back. Between the holidays, the office being busy, and my sister having a baby, I didn't get to schedule a visit. The woman I like, I have a business card of hers. So should I email her and ask her how she's doing? I think she could find it strange that I picked her to email. What do you think? |
Question: My best friend is moving away over the summer? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 01:55 PM PDT We've been best friends since fourth grade and I can't imagine life without her. I just don't know how to handle it. Hell, I miss her when I don't see her over the weekend. I just... I don't know how to handle it. And before anyone say it, of course I'm going to enjoy the time I have left with her, but she'll be busy and the time zones are very different so we won't be able to talk most of the time. I'm also worried that she'll make new friends and replace us, when she moved her that's what she did to her old friends and I don't want to have it happen to me. |

Question: Is this what a sorority is supposed to be like? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 01:22 PM PDT Hi! I'm a senior and graduating in a couple weeks. I dropped out of the sorority two months ago because I didn't enjoy it anymore and the people "in charge" were falsely persecuting me. In short, I sent in my excuse for an event as I was out of town. They asked for proof (aka my location via iPhone), which I did. However, they continued stalking me on social media through others (I don't have them on social media) and they called me in to a meeting accusing me of lying. They told me my chicken and waffles dish looked like it was from a local restaurant, but it wasn't. So we argued for over an hour, with me telling them off and dropping because I was not gonna "lie" to them and say I lied about being out of town when I was really out of town lol. I was not gonna pay 300 bucks (200 for missing the event and 100 for disrespectful behavior). That was the end of things, but I still had to pay my dues. I paid my dues and thought it was over. Fast forward, my friend invited me to her/our last formal as her date, and you can bring ANYONE as your date. They told me I couldn't go because of rules and they messaged my friend to not take me, which they never did. For some reason, the whole senior class, who I thought were my friends, turned against me and are spreading vicious lies. I'm actually afraid they'll boo me off the stage at graduation infront of my family. The only thing I did wrong was cursing the president off, but everyone else thinks either wise. Is this normal? |
Question: How do I stop feeling so left out of my friend group? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 01:13 PM PDT there are 5 people in my friend group. In the beginning of the year it was me, Emily, and Jane. But we made new friends with Kate and Maria recently. Emily and Kate began hanging out a lot more. Emily and I used to be really close friends but now she hangs out with Kate and barely even talks to me. Jane and Maria also got a lot closer. It's like the 4 of them will talk, or they will talk in their pairs. And when I try to talk to them I am ignored or made fun of. When we do projects, and have to work in groups of 2 I am always left out. This happens all the time! They always say they feel bad for me but I always end up working with someone else. For instance, today in class I asked my friend Emily if I could work with her, and she said, "No I am probably working with Kate." She didn't even ask Kate yet, but pretty much meant that she would rather work with Kate than me. That really hurt because I asked her first, and we used to be so close. I am sick and tired of feeling left out. The 5 of us have pretty much every class together. They will always wait for the 4 of them to pack up to walk to the next class, but never wait for me. I have been struggling with a lot of personal health issues lately, and I have been extremely depressed. The fact that I am losing my friends is making it worse. I am really shy and don't know if I should say something to them about this, or what I should say. Please help, I have been feeling like this for months and don't know what to do about it. |
Question: Should I let this happen? Or, like, nawh? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 09:26 AM PDT My good friend and I were chilling in town one day. I saw my older brother in town, and my friend (who hasn't met him, he lives with our dad, I live with mom), said: Bestie: Oh my god, that guy over there is SO hot. He has brown hair, and he's into 80s shows! (She knew this because he was wearing a Looney Tunes shirt). Me: Go right for him, I'm not hitting on him! Bestie: Why? Me: Because that's my brother! She didn't hit on him, but I'm inviting my brother to stay over on Friday. I forgot that my best friend was coming over that day too. Now that I think about it though, something is telling me that letting my friend date my brother is a bad idea. We're all adults, but something about it feels wrong. Am I right to feel this way? |
Question: How do you make normal friends when you have done a bunch of drugs? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 08:54 AM PDT Lately I have been super depressed as I have no friends, but my boyfriend of 8 years. Im a 24 year old professional with my master's degree moving right outside Boston to live in an apartment alone, and i am hoping the city has more opportunities to make friends. When I move, im hoping to kick this funk of having no friends pretty much since i started college. The problem is i have done a lot of substances (nothing super hard, but tons of psychdelics and party drugs) and as a result i find most "typical people" who havent to be hard to talk to. I want to hang out with focused, salary making young people like myself, but I fear I have given myself a form a social anxiety from drug use. I always want to talk about topics that seem strange to others, such as things I have seen tripping on drugs, but other young women like simpler things and i miss when I was more like this as well :/ I used to be normal, i dont know how i became so closed off. |
Posted: 23 Apr 2018 07:40 AM PDT School. We are now currently roommates in college. She is starting to copy me in a way. For instance sometimes I wear my hair a certain way and now she is wearing her hair that way. I don't have any other friends and if I do she always finds something wrong with them. If I am talking to her about a post I make on social media she has already seen it before I could show her my post. If I give her advice she has this thing where she makes it seem like she came up with it and I just said it to her. I've never felt like this but now it seems sometimes like we are in competition and it's becoming annoying. The other day we were getting dressed and she pointed out and said we always have something similar alike on like for instance if have a Nike shirt on and tights she will wear a shirt with Nike tights.. I never realized until she mentioned it and it really irritated me. If I start wearing my red lipstick like for a few days. She starts wearing the lipstick like the next week. I went home for the weekend one day and when I came back I walked in the room and she was in my bed but she explained it was because her bed had clothes on them . And one friend I have kept saying over and over when you left your Bestfriend she missed you she was so lonely with out you she missed you and I was like uhhh ok... idk if I'm over thinking things |

Posted: 23 Apr 2018 04:01 AM PDT my family and i were in the car and my brother started singing a song about how i'm an emo girl and i cut my wrists and started to tell my mom that it's true how he knows.. i really really want to slap him in his face right now. everyone's asleep and i can't go to sleep because i have so much hate for him in my heart. please tell me what i can do. he makes fun of people who self harm and he is actually a horrible person. he honestly is. i'm trying to stop myself from hurting him. i honestly never want to see him again. i ******* hate him. i've tried praying because i need peace right now. of course, my mom didn't do anything except for deny everything but i am infuriat about this. |
Question: What jealousy and envy could do ? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 02:50 AM PDT I have a very jealous friend , she's obsessed with marriage and relationships and when she knows that a girl got married she freaks out and cries! I dunno what to do I avoid her now but I'm scared because I'm sure she's still stalking me cause she tries to talk to my best friends!!! |
Question: Complicated brother/sister relationship? Posted: 22 Apr 2018 10:43 PM PDT So usually I am really close with my older brother. He is two years older than me (20). Lately he has been really down and all over the place. I am beginning to get really worried. He has always been really quiet and is never the one to ask for help. Since coming to college and creating a life from myself away from my family a lot has changed. I started living and being happy when I came here, but a lot of that was because I was away from family drama. We got into an argument a few weeks ago over something stupid he said about my friends and he lashed out a bit.He said some really hurtful things about the past that I haven't gotten over. Since then I generally stayed away from him. He has made attempts to talk to me, but I ignore them, Everyone, all my friends and boyfriend are telling me to talk to him, but at this point I am scared to. I really miss him and I am worried that he has been dealing with the same depression I have been dealing with. Parents are not a solution. My other brother is aware of the situation, but can't really help. |

Question: Why is he acting like this? Posted: 22 Apr 2018 05:52 PM PDT We broke up and when I tried going back(6 months ago) he said he wouldn't forgive me for saying something about his mom when he said something to mine first(idiotic).I didn't chase him. We ran into eachother one day i expected him to ignore but he smiled and said hi.Now he keeps looking at me, making eye contact and i caught him looking at me sneakily through the door crack. He's started coming out about the same time as I do and he said hi hesitantly and smiling. Few Sundays ago I was going down the stairs and he was behind me. He was "on the phone" saying he was leaving church and would call back which wasn't necessary since church was already over. I feel like he did it so I'd know he was behind me. We walked next to eachother he smiled and said how are you. We had a few exchanges and I asked him about his sick brother. The following week he didnt show himself inside church(he's a deacon) as I was leaving he was behind me going down the stairs. I turned around just saw a glimpse of him and turned back around didn't say hi. We've kept locking eyes and he would smile but today he didn't look or smile, if he was |
