Question: How to make friends? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 05:51 PM PDT People think I'm annoying and mean but I'm not. People never ask me to hangout. How can I make friends when everyone at school hates me? Im in 8th grade btw |
Question: How can I make real friends? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 05:37 PM PDT I feel like I don't have any real friends. People act like were BFF's at school but then NEVER hangout with me out of school. I have a reputation of being annoying and a little mean but the past 6 months I've been trying to change that and be kinder. No one asks me to hang and I feel lonely. I'm in 8th grade btw. HELP!!!! |
Question: Friendship advice needed? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 05:01 PM PDT Have a great time when my friend and I hang out but to me it's great to see each other 2-3x a month for lunch or to hang out. We seem to click really well and about one out of every 4 attempts to get together she says yes. I talked to her about it and told her that we get along great but the unavailability seemed like rejection and hurt. I asked her if I did anything wrong or what and she said no we are just different. That I seemed a little impatient. Keep in mind this is an introvert I am dealing with. I really enjoy my time with her and she seems to have fun too when I can get a yes. Should I accept the rejection or move on? |
Question: Should I tell my best friend I like him? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 04:43 PM PDT I've liked my best friend for 4 years but I'm afraid telling him will cause problems. I don't want to ruin the kind of friendship we already have if he doesn't feel the same way and he already has tons of girls falling all over him and I don't want to make things more stressful for him... What should I do? |
Question: If someone gave you a taste of your own medicine, what would happen to you? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 04:20 PM PDT |
Question: Facebook friend appropriate? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 01:34 PM PDT I know a cop that was indirectly involved in an incident awhile ago, it wasnt anything huge and didn't result in any legal action or anything but for the past months we've been emailing and are friendly, and he wants to also help me out recover from the incident awhile ago. Anyway my question is would it be appropriate if sometime in the future we became fb friends? My guess is hed have a more "secure" account, but another friend of mine is friends with him thus allowing me to "add friend" I would ask first of course,, but I don't know whether or not there's some sort of like a rule or something that says its not ok, or whether it'd be personal decision. |
Question: What are your hobbies and interests? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 01:11 PM PDT What are you hobbies which you like to do? Also what are your interests which you like to study and learn about? |
Question: Why are Chinese people so greedy? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 12:56 PM PDT I moved in with some Chinese friends I had known a long time. But I was in shock at how greedy and selfish they are. Everything became all about money. Money this, money that, you owe me this, you owe me that. They rarely ever share food, they want you to pay for gas if you carpool to the same location, they're ultra sensitive if I say anything about their race while being racist towards mine(white), they forget all your birthdays, they expect dinners in return for favors, they have a general lack of understanding for friendships, they have little to no family values, they favor a few extra bucks over friendship/respect. The whole experience living with them was terrible and I moved out. Is this how typical Chinese people are? Or just these ones? It was nice of them to invite me to live there, and I still think of them as friends. But it would be best if we never lived together again. I live in Germany currently. |
Posted: 28 Apr 2018 11:06 AM PDT I've known him for like 5 years and had feelings for him that I haven't spoken about until recently. Turns out he did feel something for me too but now he's with someone else. He said we shouldn't let this ruin the friendship we had so we gave it a chance for us to be just friends but I couldn't do it for long. I told him it was causing me so much pain and that I can't be friends anymore. He gave me the choice to make whether I'd like to give it another shot and maybe he'll try to be a better friend or we just end it here. We did end it. I don't know but sometimes when I sleep it feels like it's a nightmare and I'm waiting for it to end. Is this friendship lost forever? I mean we were perfectly fine, absolutely fine and we've always had this unexplainable bond until this happened and it costed us everything. I know it was my decision but could is this be the end of this friendship for good? |
Question: Is it OK what my fellow employees plan to do for me? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 09:40 AM PDT I am the only woman in a office of 17 people. I really like the people I work with and they like me. My 10 year anniversary is coming up soon and my fellow employees are planning a small lunch to celebrate it. They plan for each employee to give a small speech about working with me and to present a small gift and to give me a kiss. Former employees I worked with are also invited. The human resources guy is worried that people will think what they plan to do is sexist because the employees would not do that for a man. I think it is a great idea. I am looking forward to it. Do you think it is a sexist idea? Your thoughts please. |
Question: My friend lied to me? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 07:56 AM PDT Hello, recently my friend told me she was grounded until the 20th (of last month.) I believed her. Well, when it became the 21st I texted her and we talked. Then, a couple days ago, she told me she couldn't text because she got grounded again. I got suspicious. I told my sister and she told me that she and my friend have been texting. So that means my friend wasn't grounded! Why did she lie to get out talking to me? and she is not responding to my texts! She said she was "grounded" from her phone....... |
Question: My best friend is ignoring my texts!? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 07:29 AM PDT so a few weeks ago, my best friend and i disagreed (we didnt fight!) about the fact that i am pansexual. (she no longer believes in that sort of thing, even though she used to) and all of a sudden she's stopped replying to my texts or answering my calls. shes completely ignoring me! im worried that either: 1) her mom isnt letting her talk to me anymore 2) she's ignoring me on her own 3) her mom doesnt allow her to talk to me so she took away her phone (even though my friend may still want to talk to me) help!! |
Question: How do you initiate conversations with strangers? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 05:32 AM PDT I'm pretty good at talking to a people online, but I just realized the difference between there and real life: online, you're generally starting on common ground in the first place, so you actually have a conversation starter before the conversation starts. I don't know what I have in common with my peers, though; plus, I always feel awkward when I try to start conversations, like I shouldn't be saying anything. I want to get along with my peers, but I don't know where/when and how (btw I'm technically a freshman but a year older than the average freshman age 😅). How do I start a conversation with people my age? What is a good/bad place and time to do that? |
Question: Was I being to petty to my Ex-friend? Question: Where to make friends! help? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 12:23 AM PDT I am 23 years old and I been attending community college. It is so hard to make friends there since everyone keeps to themselves and leaves straight away once class is over. Now I will be graduating and going to a university but I will have to take a gap year before I get in. Now that I am done college, I wont even be around ppl my same age and I am starting to get depressed because of it. I tried different meetups in the past months but its mostly filled with people who are 30-50yrs old so I am always the youngest there. They would make comments on how young I am and pretty much only talk among themselves. Despite that, I still kept trying to make friends with them but it seems like that dont want anything to do with me. I hate that I am 23 and I dont have anyone I can text or relate to. I dont want to wait till I am in a university at 24yrs old to make friends. I was basically getting paid to go to college so all I can do during my gap year is get a job while i wait. Thats basically all I got to look forward to. It seems like I am gonna be lonely for a year with no one I can hang out with or text. It never rly bothered me before until I recently turned 23 and realized I fast time is passing by. Now I am having a quarter life crisis and I am starting to get depressed for the first time because of it. Please, any suggestions? I am honestly willing to try anything you guys suggest, I am so fking desperate. |
