Question: Step son blaming me for his father not giving him enough money? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 01:19 PM PST Step son is 21 year old. He will be 22 this February. He is blaming me for his father not giving him enough money. He is unemployed, and said he is trying hard. He spends his unemployment check on unnecessary stuff then complains about not having money. Step son texted me, and said his dad should help his real actual family. He doesn't understand the point of married couple sharing finances together. He comes here almost every week. I stopped helping my stepson due to his ungrateful attitude. He called me a "dying woman", because his dad told him about me having Cancer. He said, "go help your dying woman". He is mad that his father is not giving him money. I don't know how to react on this. It seems like he is blaming me. He says his dad is selfish. I guess it all has to do with money. Meanwhile he spends his unemployment on getting new tattoos, and his rock band. I don't know whether I should bother bring this up to his dad, or keep my mouth shut. |
Question: Does he regret breaking up? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 01:14 PM PST He's (my ex) constantly staring at me when he sees me and has started smiling when I see him looking. He also said hi when we ran into eachother outside at church. He said it wouldn't work between us and he wouldn't allow himself to have feelings again because of what i said about his moms clothes but he insulted my moms clothes first. So why does he constantly stare and smile? It' s been 3 months since he said that and no contact. He also fidgets, touches his face, hair and whatever he does (he's a deacon, he looks over to see if I'm watching). Is this friendly or more? I'm just surprised how can he look so much and hasn't made a move (been 3 months since what he said) DO you think he regrets saying that it wouldn't work between us? I was always the one chasing him lately (he chased me constantly initially) so I don't know if he think i'm gonna be the one to go back but not happening anymore. But how can he look so much and not make a move? Would he act like this if he ddint want me back? does he still think im gonna chase him..? |

Question: Is this why my brother is so smart? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 01:00 PM PST I accidentally caught my little brother j - - king off. He told me he read in the Weekly World News that each time he did that, it raised his IQ. Could that be possible or is he feeding me a line of bull? If it is true, he is going to be a genius. Could this be why he is so smart? |

Question: Is it bad to wear Christmas-themed clothing after Christmas? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 12:47 PM PST I bought a couple of Christmas-themed shirts (with the words Happy Holidays or reindeers on them). They were on sale for about five dollars each so I couldn't help it. Can I still wear them in, say, two or three months from now. Will it look bad?? |
Posted: 03 Jan 2018 12:10 PM PST Last night my little sister who's 14 accuses my older brother of sexually abusing her for years when she was younger and it stopped when she was 10. They're 8 years apart in age. MY mom told me that if I open my mouth about it and they take my sister from the house or put my brother in jail, she'll find a way to make me go to jail/kick me out of the house. I honestly don't know what to do. Both my mother and grandma protect my brother all the time and I'm disgusted. He hasn't only done it to her but to me when we were younger And my dad try to say "kids do stuff without knowing what it is". What do I ******* do??? |

Posted: 03 Jan 2018 11:54 AM PST My parents are so dumb so my dad gave his friend (aka scammer) money to build a business and he can partnership in it and he didnt and just kept the money for himself. Question: Embarrassed my mother found out that I vape? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 11:52 AM PST I'm 27 and temporarily live with my mother until I can afford my own place. Sounds silly, but so I'm so embarrassed that she found out my little secret which is that I occasionally vape. Out of respect for her I NEVER did it in the house or around her & would always wait until I was away. I lost my vape cig a week ago after it fell out of my purse, looked everywhere (including her room) but couldn't find it anywhere. Yet today I discovered it mysteriously lying on her bed. If she knows what it is she hasn't said anything. Hope she doesn't look at me differently as she's deeply religious and always seen me as the baby or 'good girl' of the family. Lol am I overreacting? *Maybe I wouldn't have to 'sneak around' if she weren't so judgemental and treated me like an adult. But that obviously won't happen until I move out. |
Question: I need family advice? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 11:51 AM PST When me and all of my cousins were born, my grandmother on my father's side set up individual college investment accounts to help us pay for college when that time finally came. Fast forward to middle school and my parents end up going through a pretty bitter divorce. After it is all said and done, my dad (who went to Catholic school and was a Catholic all of his life) says he is still Catholic and all but stops going to Church, practicing his faith, etc. His choice so whatever no big deal. However a few years later, I am looking at colleges and my number one choice was a private Catholic school. Wasn't looking for Catholic school just happened to be. My dad then informs me that if I choose to go to a Catholic school, he will deny me any of the money that my grandmother had invested 18 years previously. He is choosing to be stubborn and put his wishes in front of what my grandparents wanted by trying to set me up for success. All 4 of my other cousins could choose whatever college they wanted and got their money with no restrictions. My grandmother is super Catholic and all but with her generation and being a pushover she will do whatever my dad says. Talked to Uncle/cousin about it and they said don't bring it up (probably to avoid conflict), but talked to friends and neighbors and they said I should talk to my grandmother and ask why. I am now 22, completed college, and am about to start paying back loans that I shouldn't have had to take out at all. Any advice? |
Question: Chinese speakers, please help!? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 11:42 AM PST Hello, I was just wondering, how old would you consider a 小朋友? It's because my mother just called my nearly 8 year old cousin that and I was like, really? 小朋友- at 7? Seriously? Just want your opinion. Thanks |

Question: Will my mom ever forgive me? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 09:53 AM PST Besides her kids, my mom s pictures are the most important things in the world to her. And last night I did something horrible. I didn t mean to, and I wasn t thinking. I reset my phone. So every picture she s ever taken on my phone (birthdays, holidays, special family outings)are all GONE. She found out this morning and left crying. Now I am so sorry and would give up everything if I could take it back. But I feel that no matter how sorry I am, she will never forgive me. I ve never done anything like this to her before, but this is too important to just be brushed off. I know you don t know my mom but do you think she ll ever forgive me? |
Posted: 03 Jan 2018 09:32 AM PST My Mom tends to distort rumors she hears and make them facts when they are lies. Yet it is abuse we are talking about. My Mom disliked the guy cause he has a bad personality. I seldom see him but when I do should I ban my kids from coming. |

Question: Give me your opinion on what my parents did? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 08:10 AM PST I am usually out of the house all night and have been for the past few weeks. Last night, my parents for the first time in a very long time asked me to come home around 11 or 12. I complied and came home around 11/12 because they asked me to. I come home and they say I did not listen to them because it's something "I should've done" already. What do you think about this? Does this make any sense? Do I deserve any sort of punishment currently? There was no way for me to have done the right thing. I could have only listened to them, without anything else. Also, me being out of the house is a very normal and common thing. |

Question: Regarding my family? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 07:22 AM PST My dad has been in debt since a year and he's not keeping my mom happy. My dad gets the horrible messages from the the people he takes loan from to repay and he has a case as well. My mother and father have been having problems since forever and now it's difficult to even survive. Our education (my sister and me) is stopped moreover we can't get our certificates or diploma unless we pay, I work with a very low salary which isn't sufficient. My sister lost her job contract hence why its getting worse. My father has been giving us false hopes since a year and my mom as well. She wants a divorce and it sucks that she has got no family members that will help her out. They fight every day and it's affecting me and my sister and when we spoke to our mom about this she was upset. I'm sorry everything is messed up and i couldn't type the entire problem. |
Question: My brother keeps annoying me with his exercise. What should I do? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 06:12 AM PST My older brother and I share a room together even (High School, he s 17). He started lifting weights about a month ago and he wakes up at 6 in the morning then lifts at 9-9:45. I usually wake up at 10:00 but he always comes in a disturbs my sleep and it is making me frustrated. I told him he can lift at any other time in the day but he says he makes excuses like he has baseball practice in the evening and doesn t want to be sore before or he feels the best in the morning. Also, he told me that I am selfish for not letting him exercise in the morning and that I sleep to much (10 hours). I don t want my sleep to be ruined by his crap so what should I do? |

Question: My husband's brother cheated on his wife years ago and their marriage ended in divorce.? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 03:47 AM PST Our sister in law remarried and move away and brother in law went on with the affair. After many years, I became facebook friends with the ex sister in law. We had always got along well in the past and it seemed easy enough to reach out and become friends once again. I thought I was being supportive and told her that we always sided with her and didn't think much of anyone who would cheat, having two children and a wife, and then go on to have 4 more children with his mistress while the system pays for their care. 15 years later, we still do not converse with the brother/brother in law and don't think much of him. Unfortunately, I upset her badly and she lashed out at me for bringing it up. I sincerely apologized and explained I only meant to make her feel better that we had sided with her this whole time. I also tried to invite her to some gatherings but she never responded. I then deleted our friendship status since she didn't want to talk and I realized it was the best thing to do. Was I wrong for telling her how we felt? I really thought she would be glad to know we cared, but instead it made her angry. For the one who said I was wrong: Yeah, I guess so. Just didn't see it that way at the time and thought she would be glad to know we supported her instead. A lot of time had passed and I assumed she thought we supported the ex instead. She did move to another state shortly after divorce and we lost contact. I wish we had stayed in touch at the beginning. I just hope she's happy and has a good life. For Charles. I am not a bad wife. My husband is the one who is disappointed with his brother and has decided not to talk to him. You have no right to decide what is going on in this dysfunctional family. |
Posted: 03 Jan 2018 03:45 AM PST My own Dad was an alcoholic, that is all. He was not allowed to see me until I was a teen. He was not violent or abusive. God moody and that was all. Yet I was permitted to see my uncle's wife's family which included her pedophile brother. I was never alone with the guy but allowed to see him. My mother knew the guy had a rape conviction though it was not until recently we learned he molested his nieces. My uncle and aunt are now estranged from him cause of what he did to their daughter and the man is back in jail for a very long time, hopefully forever. So was my mother negligent to let me around a convicted rapist when I couldn't see my own Dad? Also why might she have done this in allowing me to see a rapist but not an alcoholic? |

Question: What do I do about my mom? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 02:27 AM PST I woke up around ten minutes ago today and I realised I had a text on my phone from my mom. I clicked on it and it said "Here lies ___ ___ (my moms name) She was going away for free on the bus now hopefully you can get a good nights sleep and the bad seeds are going to go" I got really scared and worried because I thought it was a suicide text but when I checked on her she was fast asleep, snoring and everything. I just don't know what should I do? Should I confront her or leave it alone? I'm scared... |
Question: Why are the rich getting richer? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 02:11 AM PST Lately, I been networking with a lot of Business Owners at my school. They seem very wealthy and their children are highly successful and high self esteem. Is it because of money? Is it because parents are more educated and give more love? Is it connections? They connect their to a CEO of a firm and get jobs easily? Which one is it? |

Question: Did I do the right thing by turning this person in? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 11:36 PM PST I met a woman who is a teacher, and she teaches young children like ages 5 to 7. We ended up moving in together I learned that she is two-faced she goes to work acting normal but behind closed doors she is a maniac who threaten to take my life held a knife up to me and held me at knifepoint more than once. She told me she had issues and she promised me she would get help and change so I kind of stuck around but then it got even worse and she said if I ever told anyone she would set me up for a rape charge. I ended up leaving and she did try to set me up but I had enough evidence against there to prove she's a liar. I ended up calling the school human resource office and they promised me it was confidential but I warned them about her and didn't think she was suitable to be working with children. I didn't do it for Revenge something in my conscience just didn't sit and well knowing she's a teacher after I got to know her. my biggest fear is that she will find out and try to cause me more harm. Should I be worried or did I do the right thing? Earlier that year a bus aide was prosecuted for hitting a kid at that same school it just made me think... |
Posted: 02 Jan 2018 11:19 PM PST Why is it that my parents support my sister who wants to be a singer and my brothers who both want to be professional athletes and my older sister who is an engineer. Is there something wrong with wanting to be a comic artist? |

Posted: 02 Jan 2018 10:19 PM PST I am a 17 yr old boy now and I remember in april 2016 when I was 15 yr old and my grandpa came to my house. I asked him to take me to walk but he didnt want to as he was tired so I started crying loudly like a kid and forcing him to take me to walk. I was jumping and started even rolling on the floor crying as he wasnt taking me... this made my parents embarassed and later they scolded me for that |
Question: Bad Father or No Father? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 10:18 PM PST I'm wondering if I should cut off the relationship between my one year old daughter and her father. He has only recently started coming around. When he does come around it's for short periods of time, and seems like my daughter is only relivent if he is bored or has nothing else going on. He will sit there and say he wants to watch her while I'm at work (which I would never let happen at this point) but doesn't follow through on asking me about it later on, sometimes I won't hear from him for days after. I believe that he is using heavy drugs (meth and/or heroine) but I am not sure. In the past he has been very verbal abusive towards me also. At this point I'm just so irrited because I feel like if it came down to it where he had to actually work to see her, he wouldn't. So I guess I'm just looking for opinions on what I should do, I feel lost. I can tell she's starting to grow a little attachment to him already and I'm really worried I will do the wrong thing and my daughter will resent me someday because of it. In all reality I just want to do what's best for her. |
Question: My first day of work was so rough?? What SHOULD i DO? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 09:48 PM PST Today was my first day of work. My job is being a cashier. However, because I'm very new as a cashier, I have to be Web-based training, which I did today. Today, when I got in the supermarket, nobody even noticed I existed. I had no service on anything!! Which c'mon!! I bust my *** in the freezing ******* cold and rain to go to the job interview (at the same place) and the job orientation and when I get my *** to work on time, nobody knows who the **** I am?/!! I mean, come the **** on! Anyway, I couldn't punch in my badge #, and I told the customer service about it. I'm very confused about my schedule. The schedule that I received during my orientation says my training schedule, so the time and dates are what I'm going to follow. Above my paper says that if I want to check my schedule online, to go to the store website and sign in. And i do, but when I type in the password and USER ID that they give me, IT DOESN'T ******* WORK!!!! I tried calling back the woman who gave me the password, but everyone says she isn't here. I don't want to assume that my training schedule is my working schedule. I'm so confused about my schedule and extremely frustrated about nobody noticing I'm a new employee. If I didn't come into to work today, I bet nobody would even noticed or cared about if I came in or not. I don't want to be ignored!! What's the point of working if nobody even notices that you ******* EXIST!!! What should I do about this?/ Cause it's ******* driving me crazy!! |
Question: Should I cut contact off with my mother? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 09:30 PM PST My mom has always had it in for my wife and our daughter, but she's gone too far. Recently, my wife got pregnant again and were very excited. Unfortunately, we discovered that the pregnancy was ectopic. After a lot of thought we went through with abortion. It was already tough enough having to explain to family, even our 3yr old. To cut the story short, my mom has been incredibly condescending towards my wife because of it and has done her best to shame her. Her words are so damaging that I'm considering cutting off ties with her until further notice. |
Question: Should I cut all ties to my immediate family? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 08:14 PM PST I'm 14 and have been told by multiple babysitters that I have been verbally abused and that they would call child services if it get worse. I cry myself to sleep almost every night because of the things my father and brother say to me, and I honestly can't stand it. Recently I have googled what most people do in this kind of situation and have found that some people just cut their families out of their lives. I was wondering if people suggest this or if it eventually gets better. BTW, I would likely wait till I finish school so I can support myself. |

Question: My little brother sweared in public. How should I react? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 07:23 PM PST We were at a local park and he went up to a group of strangers (they were only a few years older than him and he is really social, I figured he would be ok and I wouldn't have to pay too much attention to him ( I was close by, I didn't leave him alone ) (he is 12, they looked about 14-15) they were talking about games and memes and stuff (I think anyway) and eventually they started swearing at him (weird, b!#ch, f@g) was some of there lovely laguage. Before I was even able to think of a way to react, he called them "normies", flips them off and bikes away and motions me to run off with him. They start chasing us on foot until eventually we get away and loose them. We then walk home without saying a word. When we get home he tells me in private how he is scared of them finding him. (He loves that park and goes there very often and doesn't want to have another confrontation with them.)I comfort him and tell him to not speak of the situation to our parents. I'm not too mad about him flipping them off and him swearing but I don't want him to be scared about going to the park. For the last few days he hasn't even gone out at all (he used to go like twice a day) I don't want to bring this up with my parents and neither does he so please don't say (talk to your parents about it), you will just be ignored. I'm desperate for responses, I care about him. What should I do? What should I have I done? |
Question: What would you think if your daughter said youre ugly inside? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 07:22 PM PST Told my mom that after she tried to bully me again today. I feel like if I just keep letting it slide she will keep doing it. I have to stand up for myself. And its true, I do think she's very ugly inside. |
Question: DAD WILL WORK AT THE SAME PLACE AS CRUSH?!? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 07:16 PM PST My dad is struggling to find a new job (the company he works for is shutting down in a few months) so he will start working part time a very general job (that requires no skills or education) so that in case he doesn't find a new job when his contract with the company he currently works for is over, he will start working there full time... My brother is also going to start working there part time to save money for college... My brother just found out my crush works there right now. I'm afraid my crush will recognize my name (which is foreign and not very common) and tell everyone my dad works there! I already have enough problems at home... I don't want to be bullied at school either... PLEASE HELP 😞😞😞😞! to the douchebags who think I'm some ungrateful brat, this question has nothing to do with that! Funny how easy it is for some people to attack others on the internet without knowing the first thing about them! I know I can't help my dad working there! Posted: 02 Jan 2018 06:13 PM PST Do phone calls count as cheating? His mother died in October and my Mom flew to the funeral with her son (my half-brother). Her son is not home but his Dad, her ex, called my Mom to thank her for the help. She offered him some help with the man's son's autism (son from a later marriage) as my Mom's nephew has that. They are talking about things other then their son. They never talk other then a cordial greeting at events for the son. It was a bitter divorce 26 years ago I am told. Are they in love again and if so does it count as an affair when my Mom was previously married to him? Can she have two husbands at once? Could my Dad divorce her over it? Should I tell my Dad? He was in the house but not listening in like I was. |

Question: How do I get my aunt not to tell my Mom when I come see her since my Mom will be mad? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 05:24 PM PST My Mom hates her sister and asked me never to go see her again. I am afraid my aunt might tell my Mom she saw me and yet if i directly ask my aunt not to tell my Mom I ma seeing her then we will begin conversing about how bad my Mom is just as my Mom and I converse about how bad my aunt (Mom's sister) is. Only time my Mom and aunt talk is when it is about how much they both hate their brother but I don't talk to the uncle as I hate him to and his kids. I am scared, what do I do? |

Question: How do I help my daughter deal with a new baby brother? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 04:11 PM PST My 12 year old is adopted and thinks we favor the biological kid. She explained that she thinks we'd do anything for her only within reason, but we'd do anything at all for our new baby. We talked to her and she's been told that babies require a lot of care. After a while, he will receive less attention as people get used to him. I can still sense the tension and sadness that goes on. After all, my daughter had 12 years to herself and this new baby was unexpected. She's going through puberty and it's especially hard for us. What our firstborn explains sounds like she thinks the bond for our son is an absolute, but the bond with her comes second. |

Question: I want to beat my dads face in? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 03:59 PM PST hi my name is tony I am 17 my little brother had leukemia and my moms insurance was only going to cover 50k and she explained that we are already living on a thin line barley making rent so I dropped out of school and saved up 30k working 2 jobs while helping with rent. We still didn't have enough and my pastor found out that dropped out of school and asked me whats wrong I explained the situation and he told me to go back to school and the church would cover the bill and they did. The following week my dad that left when I was 8 showed up, apparently mom call him to gloat in his face that she raised a hard worker, he didn't ask how I was, didn't ask how old I am now. His exact words when I opened the door was "hey tony I need some money" I got super mad and punched him in the mouth, and he ran off. But almost every day now he has been coming to our house asking for money I told him i'm going to use 26k for college ( I gave 4k to my mom so we would be good on rent for 6 months) every time I see him I just want to kick his face in what would you do if this happen to you You say call the police. Don't you think that I have already done that already, every time they come by he just wipes out his armed forces ID showing that he was an ex navy seal and they just let him go. |
