Question: Why did my brother and his fiancee schedule their wedding the same day as my birthday? Posted: 02 Oct 2016 08:36 PM PDT My brother and his fiancee are getting married on May 6, 2017 which happens to be the same day as my birthday. I will be turning 24 and would like to celebrate it, but my brother and his fiancee decided to schedule their wedding on the same day, which i think they did intentionally. I was asked to be a bridesmaid which i of course refused. I also told them that i will not be attending the shower, the bachlorette party or the rehearsal dinner. In fact I told them that there is a strong possibility that will not be attending the wedding at all because I would much rather celebrate my birthday since it's the only day of the year where it's about me. My parents are now mad at me because they think I am being a selfish baby. I told them this is what they get for scheduling their wedding the same day as my birthday. They then told me that I can just celebrate it on Sunday, I would much rather celebrate it on a Saturday because well it's my actual birthday. So should I skip the wedding and celebrate my birthday or should I attend the wedding?
Question: Ideas for a wedding using Wax Seals? Posted: 02 Oct 2016 07:53 PM PDT I have a few wax seals that I want to incorporate in my wedding. Does someone have any unique ideas on how to use them (other than on an envelope for a thank you card)?

Question: Groom slapped bridesmaid for picking on groomswoman - who's in the wrong? Posted: 02 Oct 2016 05:31 PM PDT Right so my friend is a groomswoman in her brother's wedding and for some reason one of the bridesmaids has issues with her. They met about a year ago when the bride had just picked out her bridesmaids and took everyone including the groomswoman on a girls' night out. It started out when the bridesmaid made fun of her and called her names and made fun of the fact that she'll be all alone and ousted being the only girl surrounded by men, and the groomswoman told her that's just how it is and she likes being around men anyway. Since then they've disagreed on things, they (mostly the bridesmaid) have got into fights, hair has been pulled, etc. She won't give in. Anyway Groom basically couldn't take it anymore and wanted to know what this girl's problem is, about a week ago he saw them arguing, took her to one side to talk sense into her, then slapped her. Then he told her he's removing her from the wedding party despite the fact she's on the bride's side. Is he even in a position to do this? So who's more in the wrong? The wedding is in about 6 weeks from now and I hope things get resolved.
Question: Wedding dress fiasco? Posted: 02 Oct 2016 01:22 PM PDT I went wedding dress shopping w/ my sister Friday. She had to bring some work w/ her (she warned me in advance). She was sitting on a bench doing work while a girl at the shop was helping me fit/try on dresses, then my sister was giving comments. All fine. In settings where it makes sense, I'm not very modest around other women, so I was in my fitting stall in just in a pair of panties as the assistant helped me in and out of dresses & brought me new ones. At one point she comes back, knows I'm more or less nude in the fitting room, and pulls the curtain all the way back without warning as she tries to show me a dress we hadn't talked about that she thought I might like. I turn toward the curtain wondering what's happening as it opens, and the ENTIRE shop (including 1 guy!) gets a quick flash of me full on nudie (only panties). I shrieked, the girl saw my reaction, & tried to stand with the dress blocking view, but 1) the damage was done 2) some people could still see. I tugged the curtain closed, got dressed, & demanded to see her manager. She told me the manager wasn't there but gave me a number and time she would be & I more or less stormed out in a huff. Not screaming or anything but really annoyed. I was embarrassed, humiliated, and felt tiny. My sister says I'm totally overreacting and that I'd be a total b--- to complain to the manager or try to get the girl in trouble. But I feel her actions were VERY inappropriate and demeaning. What do people think?
Question: Are there any rustic "destination" wedding venues? Posted: 02 Oct 2016 01:17 PM PDT When I think of and search "destination wedding" I get a lot of beach/tropical venues. Are there any destination wedding locations that are country/rustic?
