Question: Was it wrong for me to tell me husband to choose between me and his psycho mother? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:09 PM PDT I've had to deal with my psychotic MIL for 18 years. Once my husband retired from the military in 2015, things have gotten worse between me and my husband. I'm tired of having to feel like a hostage in my own home. I'm tired of the fighting, and the nastiness she brings into our home. I'm tired of being ridiculed, and called very bad things. I'm done! I told my husband that I've had enough. It's either me and our kids or her. He has to choose. I'm ready to give up on my marriage. I love my husband very much, but I'm I refuse to be around that hateful woman any longer. I moved across the state, and I am living in a rental that my parents own. I have a really good job, and with excellent benefits. Our kids are happy again, and I'm relieved that I don't have to deal with that hateful monster anymore. Was I wrong? |

Question: My ex-husband wants to change our custody agreement to a 6 month split? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:15 PM PDT We have been divorced for 4 years and we share legal custody but I have primary residential custody of our kids, he gets them every other weekend. My ex is wanting to use the fact that I work 12 hour shifts over 3-4 days a week and that I am not there for our children & tht i use the child support on me, not the kids. That a 50/50 shared custody will work better by him having them for 6 months of the year and I get visitations every weekend or other weekend and then vice versa when kids live with me. He does not want to pay child support and that s why he thinks this will be a good idea. I have recently let him have them on most weekends (after him stating he would like them more) and to come over to help with kids on the days I do work my 12 hour shift days but he is now saying that my schedule is not stable for the kids and his 8-5 job is. The kids have always lived in their main home with me and they have not had anything major changed except our divorce. He has also said he would use my past as being sexually abused against me to win his case. I ve contacted a lawyer but they said that since our original custody agreement was drawn up during our divorce, it won t be changed unless I agreed to what he wants and if our kids are in danger from me and that he can file if he wants. But what are the chances of him getting that 6 month custody granted especially when he lives in town (5miles away)and has threatened to make me appear unfit in some way? |
Question: My husband talks about people I dont know? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 08:20 PM PDT Whenever we visit my husband's parents, they always have really long conversations and mention people names and what they do and where they live and who they married etc.. and when we get home, I ask my husband who they are. He tells me just people he lnows. I feel really uncomfortable around them and get impatient so I just go out for a walk with the kids.. I have told him and he tells me that it's just that I will never understand.. so I don't know what they talk about and who and I just never say anything and I keep quiet. It's not really a problem I just don't know how to deal with it... |

She looked at me and said you are so and so recognizing me from my modeling pics. Then she studied my face and said you didn't apply makeup. Then I wore it she saw me again thinking I was someone else since she just saw me 15 min ago and said oh I didn't recognize you with makeup on. Lol. She was very nice to me during the runway show |
Question: My husband is a completely different person when he's working and it's miserable? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 07:52 PM PDT I've been married for a year and a half. I love my husband and we hardly argue, but what I can't stand anymore is how uptight, paranoid, and tensed he gets about work. I'm starting to get tired of this... I feel like everything is going around HIS clock. I never know when he's coming home (it varies from 5pm-2am the next morning). Some weekends he needs to work and I can barely speak to him without him snapping or sighing loudly and just making the entire environment tense and unpleasant. I really am starting to hate it. He's also really stingy these days and it's starting to annoy me. I appreciate it when someone is careful with spending etc...but he's acting like we're broke and it's really creating a shitty vibe. Our household income is at least 125k a year and we live in Seattle. I don't know what to think say or do anymore. He even WALKS differently when he's in "work-mode".... he leaves in the mornings at different times too..our entire schedule is MESSED UP. I'm just really getting tired of this :( what the hell should I do? UPDATE. I am working...my income varies a lot per month... but I'm doing 90 percent of the work for our side business and we split money 50/50 - this at least (on top of the 125k a year) brings in more or less 60k a year. |
Question: What s a definition of marriage that would fit all cultures? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 07:51 PM PDT From children , same sex , old& young , multiple wives , what s a definition that would work for all types of marriages? |
Question: How to legally get rid of my 11 year old child.? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 07:29 PM PDT I have an 11 year old kid who I've grown to hate and who hates me back. I've had a bad divorce with my wife and for a while we had joint custody and she's completely manipulated him painting me as the enemy while she's spoiled him constantly basically giving him anything and everything he wants with my child support money, which is a stark contrast to me trying to teach him responsibility and only giving him what he needs and only allowing him luxuries when he's earned them. My wife dumped full custody on me and I took it because of the harm she did the boy. But now there is simply no turning back. This is what he does: He fails hard at school, does no chores or homework, and he sits around playing Minecraft on his x-box all day and comes around every now and then making demands for sweets and junk food. Not asking, demanding. Before the divorce he wasn't like this at all and now suddenly, all the food in my kitchen is "not up to his standard" because I've got a nice selection of greens and some quality cuts of meat that take some effort to prepare . Nothing he can just microwave and stuff his fat face with. As I was writing this he says to me "we going to Burger King". If I tell him no I know he'll just trash my kitchen with his little friends so for now I'm stalling. Anyway, my question is, what legal process is available in Georgia to get rid of my child or to turn them over to child protective services? Preferably without being held financially responsible. Thank you. |
Question: When a man blames his ex entirely for their divorce? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 06:53 PM PDT I've been casually dating a guy who got divorced about a year ago. One thing that concerns me is that he blames his divorce entirely on his ex wife. He describes himself in their marriage as the perfect husband. That he woke up everyday and loved her. That he never even looked at another woman. He says he was a loving, devoted father and his kids were much more emotionally attached to him than his wife. He says his wife divorced him for no good reason. He has gone on and on about what a wonderful husband he was and how he tried everything to save their marriage. He says his ex was very selfish by splitting up the family. I suppose it's possible but it's hard to imagine a woman divorcing a man who was essentially "the perfect husband". I can't help but wonder if he sees no faults in himself. I'm not really buying it. Any thoughts? |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 06:50 PM PDT I don't have discussions with friends about Exs Maybe I am over thinking it, but I see this guy time to time and it's uncomfortable even tho my wife and I are married. Thoughts? |
Question: How do you feel about prenups? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 06:48 PM PDT I personally think it's super smart and if you don't get a divorce it's just a piece of paper. But I also inherit my dads' business when he dies so you know I think ahead. |
Question: Am i right about women? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 06:27 PM PDT They are what's wrong with America they are all on drugs it's their fault kids are growing up to be criminals they all cheat, keep their ex's around and tell nothing but lies. Marriage is a business to them they get all the man's money in divorce court plus child support they usually cheat with a black or Mexican drug dealer. Point is they are to blame for the fall of America. Any other good men agree with me |

Question: Is my ex husband a good father? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 05:25 PM PDT My ex husband sees our kids (who are 5 and 7) for a couple of hours, once a week. He will show up to their birthday parties but will not help me financially to pay for them. He will see his kids once a week for a couple of hours if he is not doing anything else. He won't buy car seats to take his kids or take them anywhere himself and insists on coming over to my house and seeing them instead. He is good with his kids when he is around then but after a couple of hours a week he grows bored with them and takes off. Is he a good father and is he setting a good example for my kids? |
Question: Why do white people divorce and get married a lot? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 04:54 PM PDT It seems like every white person has been married at least 2 or 3 times in their life time to a different person, and a lot of them are like 60 years old and are still getting married why? I never seen Asian, Latino or even Black people do this. |
Question: What's the best way to break up with a girl? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 04:36 PM PDT Before I explain my situation I don't want any judgment just help dumping this woman.. It's a long story but to cut it down for this question here's the details: My wife and I were having martial issues and were very close to divorce. During that time I met this other woman who was very nice and supportive and helped me more than my friends and family during the difficult time I was going through. My wife and I did seperate and the woman and I continued to see eachother. When I moved out my wife and I started talking again and I eventually moved back home earlier this year to work on my marriage and I tried to end things with the other woman but it didn't work and I tried to get her out of my life. Well I kinda gave into her and I've been staying with my wife and seeing the other woman just to keep her happy and not fighting me and also working on things with my wife. Well now it's many months later and I can't take it anymore. I hate myself now and I feel guilt almost all the time and I want this other woman out of my life. I want her gone but when I try she either fights me or I just can't do it because I feel guilt for trying to dump her. I need help what do I do? She was there for me when no one else was? Why am I having a hard time leaving her? |
Question: Why does she have something against my wife? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 04:31 PM PDT A couple months ago I made a new friend at work, and we are gradually becoming close friends. I have no reason to believe she wants anything but friendship, except....it really seems like she has something against my wife (whom she has never met). Has somewhat tried to portray her negatively a couple of times, has offered to be someone to talk to "besides my wife" on certain things, and just all in all, seems to have no interest in talking about her or hearing about her. What should I make of this? |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 04:08 PM PDT She is a pathological liar, I have realized that. I don´t want the kids be manipulated by her because they trust her like I did. |

Question: How to get over wife's sexual past...? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 02:45 PM PDT My wife and I have 2 kids. One mine and the first from another guy. We have been married almost a year now and I just recently found out that she has been involved sexually with many more men than she first told me. She is 25 and I am 21 and have never been sexually involved with anyone but her. I don't know why but I'm always thinking about it lately and it bothers me to think about her having had sex with other people before me. She hasn't been involved with anyone since getting pregnant at 18 with her son whom is now also mine. We are best friends and love each other but lately I have been haunted by thinking about her past. In my line of work I deal with many people that talk inappropriately about women and what they do to them and I think this may be affected me and my personal life. Does anyone have advice for me or ideas on how I can cope with this?? Thank you |

Posted: 23 Oct 2016 02:18 PM PDT After getting rid of first fiance she joined a dating site in May 2016 and found a 27 year old married man that she moved in with him after knowing him almost two weeks. This married man served in the armed forces for three years, has been married twice- the second wife and his wedding pictures were posted online November 2015, he has two children- only one of them is his biological. He is now going through divorcing his second wife to marry the 30 year old girl in May 2017, and pays $195.00 child support-two times a month. The 30 year old has a 9 year old son she never really spent much time with until he was seven almost eight (this mom has never really cared much for kids) and is now playing "keep-away" from her parents, the parents who had her son for the biggest part of his life until he started school. After her son started school, her parents had their grandson every weekend when he wasn't with his father. Also, the first fiance she broke up with, she knew him because he dated a former girlfriend of hers. They met up and the 30 year old moved in with him after dating a week, they were together for maybe five months before breaking up and moving out. Thanks for your time, I appreciate it. I meant to say - The 30 year old is now planning her wedding for May 2017 |

I found out six weeks ago, that she had a year old emotional affair. SHe broke it off and has passed a lie detector test proving that it was only an emotional affair and not physical. Question: Why do so many people believe that newlywed couples shouldn't have kids right away? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 12:47 PM PDT I'm friends with a number of traditionalist Catholics who practice the Catholic religion the old traditional way. Therefore they don't believe in using birth control. Some of my traditionalist friends who have gotten married end up pregnant right away after getting married. One of my good friends just got married yesterday. My parents, along with a number of other people, have said the following in a negative way about my newlywed friends ... "I'm sure she'll be pregnant in the next month." Why do so many people frown upon newlywed couples getting pregnant so soon? I hear so many people make negative comments about traditionalists having babies right away after marriage. Many say that a newlywed couple should wait awhile before having children. Why is this? |

She has had affairs with men too as well, and has shown interest in me. Question: Is this proof that my husband was cheating ? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:15 AM PDT He said that him and 5 of his friends was going out for a celebration dinner to celebrate winning a really tough case (he's a lawyer)... So that means 6 of them went out to eat.. HOWEVER I found his credit card receipt and it only shows that 2 people had dinner and wine that day... So either 4 of them were really cheap, or he was with another woman... I know it's not right, but it's okay.. I'm gonna make it anyway.. I'm gonna tell him to pack his backs up and leave and don't even dare come running back to me ... It's so obvious he went out to dinner with another woman.. But Do I have enough proof that he was cheating? |

Question: Is there hope for me and my ex? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:10 AM PDT I have history with an ex - 6 years on and off. We used to work together. He was a higher up. I left the company, we started our relationship, he always tried to get me to work for him and I always said no. About two years ago, he was fired from that director level position. I reached out to him, he refused to tell me what happened. That was the last time we spoke. I found out he was fired for cheating on his expense account. He is now doing "consulting" work, which in our industry means temp jobs. I've tried to reach out and he doesn't respond. I know through friends that he's not seeing anyone else. My therapist says he is embarrassed bc of the loss of status. I keep hoping he will come back when he gets a steady job. He hasn't even updated his LINKEDIN profile, even though he uses it every day for work. I still love him - have for 9 years. Is this hopeless? Do I wait until he gets a new job?! Can anyone explain his behavior? (Btw, he knows I had someone very professionally successful after him...) |

Question: Unconditional love or 8yr lie? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:12 AM PDT after 8 yrs of marriage and all of the hardships and mistakes, we had an equal amount of awesome times and from what I thought unconditional love she made me believe i was her soulmate her everything but out of the blue she stages a domestic violence scene before her birthday and our anniversary which fell on the same day gets a protective order puts me in jail for 90 days divorce by default while in there then when i get released disappears with our daughter and know has seen nor heard from them but on several of her profiles her status still states married to me and pics of me are still posted on them. I am a former addict and have clean for 4 months now she wanted us both clean but when it happens she still leaves me abandonded and she previously done this several times in our marriage. i still wish to be a family but i feel that since day one she never honestly felt love for me. do i still love or be damned. |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:08 AM PDT Last night seemingly out of nowhere, he told me he no longer wants to have kids. I have no idea what to do. I'm totally heartbroken. He won't talk about it either. Any suggestions? I don't recall saying he couldn't change his mind? However, the fact that out of the blue he said he no longer wanted kids-I'm not pressuring him-seems odd. Then add the fact that he refuses to talk about it. I've been totally honest in saying that I want kids. I've also said that I don't want them right now, but in a year or 2. He said he did too. Have I thought I did something? Sure, but then he's not talking about it. And in response to someone else, no, I won't not use birth control. |

Question: I want to divorce my husband? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 05:49 AM PDT We've been married 7yrs. He's been a great provider, but I've had to endure a lot to the point where I've become numb. If I ask a simple question he'll yell in an aggressive manner. He has put his fist on my mouth, thrown food at me. He'll do things such as playing loud music when I'm sleeping just to annoy me We live in my God mothers apartment. He found me there and moved in. He refuses to leave because he's got it easy here as he doesn't pay rent or parking. He tells me I should leave. My godmother is elderly and no longer make big decisions, so I can't even talk to her. I have a decent job all my family live overseas. Rent is expensive. I've got no place to go. How do I leave this man? |

Question: Does the father's name have to be on birth certificate? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:36 AM PDT And if the father does sign on birth certificate, does it mean he has visitation rights over the baby? If I don't list his name, does he have any rights at all over the baby? He wouldn't be able to prove it's his baby right? P.S: We aren't together anymore Can someone explain better? We were just dating, it's not like we were married or sth, so he can't prove he's the biological father right? |
Question: Is it weird that I am getting married to my childhood friend? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:07 AM PDT We are both Muslim. We both used to play together, as kids. I am belong to a religious and conservative Muslim family. Although, we both live in the USA, our families are very traditional and old fashioned. Marriages are arranged in my family and culture. I have know him from back home. Anyway, I met him a few days ago after almost 19 years! He came to our house with his family. He immediately recognized me. He kept looking and smiling at me. I could tell that he is attracted to me. He is also very handsome. He has a masters degree in law, and has his own practice, so he is accomplished. Today, I found out that he sent his parents to my house, to ask my parents, for my hand in marriage, while I was in university. My parents asked me for my reply and I said, yes! |

Posted: 23 Oct 2016 12:51 AM PDT I have a few family members who have been married to a cop before and have divorced because either their husbands turned into drunks due to the stress of their job or them not being around often with their families. My bf and I are considering going into marriage arrangements soon after I graduate next summer and I do love him but I am scared if him being a cop will end up with us having an unhappy life. I have anxiety about it, I just really want us to last, anybody here with advice or experience with this? Thank you. |
