Question: I miss my ex-bestriend so much after two year... please help? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 05:10 PM PDT kay so basically we ended thing 2 years ago. i know it's a long time but for some reason this past week i've been missing her terribly. our friendship only lasted like 9 months but i can't seem to make the same connection with anyone else. i ended our friendship because she didn't like me hanging out with other people and she got angry easily. she talked bad about me and never stood up for me. but i also made mistakes that weren't very nice either. i lied a lot. i was it 8th grade then and now i'm in 10th and i've matured a lot. i was depressed then and took it out on people and now i'm fine but me missing her is taking a toll on me. i can't but wonder if it was my fault that we ended things. i don't know what to do. i miss her and our memories. But the thinf is, is that i.cant.get.her.out.of.my.head. Its like her and our memories are haunting me. I know it sounds like im overreacting, but its taking over my well-being. I would contact her but the think is that her parents and friends hate me and my parents and friends hate her, so if i contacted her, there would be a problem. BUT i cant sit around and do nothing!!!!! also im still friends with a boy who is friends with her. but i dont want to ask him to talk to her about me because i dont want him in the middle of it. |
Question: Should I text / call him back? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 05:03 PM PDT So, I just moved away in September, and recently a bunch of notifs were showing up on my phone—from the same number. I didn't know who kept calling me, but then the person texted me, saying that it was... Uh, let's just call him Jack... saying that it was him and he wanted to know how my new school is. I didn't answer, due to the fact that I'm nervous and don't know what to say, because around that time, my other friend from my old school told me that Jack likes me. I kinda like him too, and i had such a great relationship with him as a friend (he was one of the few people i could be comfortable around and be myself), but, you see... I'm an introvert. Like, really bad social anxiety and all that jazz. So that means i don't really like phone calls and texts and unnecessary chatter... I don't know if i should text / call him... I want to but i also don't... |
Question: I feel really depressed lately and want to kill myself? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 05:02 PM PDT I'm an 18 year old girl and ive been pretty sad for years now but lately I just feel dead. I want to give up on life because theres no hope. Theres soooo much stress in my life especially lately thats making me want to give up. The main problem is that I'm so lonely. I don't have a single friend and i cannot connect with family no matter how hard i try only my mom but she lives with my grandparents now. Im very socially awkward which makes it hard to communicate with people. I'm also very shy and reserved. Ive only had 2 friends my whole life and they stopped talking to me a while back. I try making friends but they never want to stay or become friends. People often think I'm retarded because of how i look and because im so socially awkward. In high school i was always the quiet girl who would sit alone and people would just avoid. Like i said i try talking to people but they never really care and arent interested. I feel so ALONE in this world i have NO ONE. My cat is my only friend. |

Question: I accidentally grabbed my friends boobs.? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 04:45 PM PDT So I was sneaking up behind my friend to grab her arms and scare her, but right before I grabbed her arms she lifted them up to fix her hair and I accidentally grabbed her boobs instead. She didn't seem mad, but she has been my friend for a while and I don't want to lose her. What should I do? |

Question: Should I text him back? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 04:21 PM PDT Hi, So, I moved in the beginning of September, and my friend from my old school (who is a girl) texted me saying that my guy-best-friend liked me and wanted to know if I liked him back. Honestly, I've known him for about two years at that school, and i liked him at first, but then he showed the real side of him (which is a really argumentive, immature guy, which is nearly every average guy in 8th grade tbh). I just began to think of him as a really close friend, and wanted to leave it at that. I told he girl that I still did like him a bit more than friends, but only thought of us as just that—friends. And now recently he's been calling me and texting me, but I haven't picked up. I'm too nervous too... Won't it be awkward now that we know we kinda like each other? And i don't know if i even want to keep talking to him if he's still that overly argumentive boy i knew him as. Then again, maybe he changed. Should i text back? I don't really want to call him... |
Posted: 14 Oct 2016 04:08 PM PDT so basically, at school, he was sitting at teh lunch table and i was eating lunch and he was at a table and he had pizza from the lunch line and i wanted it so i grabbed it (he didnt bite it yet) and i started licking it so he cant eat it and then he screamed "DUDE" so i threw it in the trash and took all his lunch and threw it in the trash, he screamed so i slapped him and ran out of the cafeterie and then i was sent to teh office and suspended, i didnt do anything wrong !!! what do i dooo |

Question: I'm honestly really nervous and scared about my first legitimate tournament this weekend.? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 03:49 PM PDT So I'm in speech and debate and we have a really important tournament coming up. Now, we have "mock rounds" which is basically we pretend we're actually competing. I already missed one and today I had to miss another, and more the two other practices I went to, during one of them I spoke four words. I didn't prepare for them and I didn't speak a lot. Now everyone in speech is yelling at me and really really pissed at me. Considering we have a tournament tomorrow and I can't come today and I missed practices and everyone's super strict about them. What should I do? |
Question: My mom ruined all my friendships... What do I do? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 03:27 PM PDT I need some advice bc I'm kind of in a crisis and don't know what to do. Do you think my mom is overreacting? I'm an 18yr old girl, I went to hang out with my friends on the beach. I've been friends with them for 5-6 years. My friends decided to smoke weed (I didn't). But as I got home, my mom immediately noticed I smelled like weed. She called all of my friends, screaming at them. And then she called their parents screaming at them. And then she called my friends' BOSSES at work and complained saying "do you realized you hired drug addicts" and you need to fire them. And she told my friends to "get ready to be deported". And now all my friends texted me saying we're never going to be friends again and I have no one now...even my best friend of 6yrs blocked me on everything what do I do? Is my mom overreacting? How do I fix this??? HOW DO I MAKE AMENDS WITH MY FRIENDS, WHAT DO I SAY |

Posted: 14 Oct 2016 02:28 PM PDT I made a little embarrassing slip up ( I want to keep the slip up anonymous, if I didn't everyone would know this is me typing this question ), and I never thought much about it. Only three people witnessed my accident, and I never thought it would make me feel so horrible. Later, one of the witnesses tells one of his friends. Then his friend told EVERYONE.Now people are making fun of my accident, calling me names, and when I sit with my group of friends, the popular girls would be like, "ew, why are you sitting next to this girl?" Again, I never thought much of it until today. This boy was taking beautiful pictures of everyone, but when he took my photo, he scribbled names and illustrations mocking me. Then everyone started joining in and they would always point to a color and make fun of my accident. Is this bullying? I never witnessed bullying and been bullied. I felt so horrible and humiliated, but I know they think this name calling and mockery doesn't hurt me, but deep down it truly does. Is this really bullying? I mean, I still have friends but now I feel like they're keeping their distance...... |
Question: I think my friend is obsessed with me? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:30 PM PDT I have a good friend I met over twitter through an eating disorder support system and we hit if off. We had a lot of things in common other than our eating disorders and we overall just got along very well. We met around December/January so we have been friends for a bit and I haven't had any problems until recently. I am a very insecure person and they hype me up and compliment me when I post pictures on twitter and it was nice at first but then we exchanged passwords and i looked at their recent conversation bc I saw my name (im nosy let me live) and they had sent a ton of private pictures to a stranger someone I didn't know and called me their girlfriend and wife I was a little creeped but I just let it go and pretend I didn't see it but recently I was getting anon hate on a website and they made an entire thread about me and that's when i started to feel more uncomfortable. They take screen shots of me when we video call and they post them on twitter even after I say to delete them(sometimes I have to get on their account and delete it myself) the last straw for me was them going through all of my dms on twitter and found out private/person information I told my sister and tried to start a conversation with me about it. i tried moving accounts but they eventually found me so I went on a hiatus and started using my private personal account and they found that account also(it's not linked with my phone number I'm not sure how they did it) Does anyone know what I should do?? |
Question: My friend does not care? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:20 PM PDT But she visits all her other friends, and goes places with them. We are both 20 year old women from California. I texted her and said call me when you have time. She responded just write here on text. I always visit her and tell her to come to me, but she never visits me. Whats going on? We have known each other for more than 10 years. I have told her to come, and she says ok, but she never does it. Radiohead: Occupied for three years? Question: Why do my friends make comments about my boobs? How big do you think they are? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:16 PM PDT My friends - both male and female - are constantly making positive comments about my boobs. It doesn't bother me too much, but I am curious about why they are so fascinating. I'm just wondering, what makes them good? Question: My online friend is constantly bragging about how many guys hit on her? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:08 PM PDT We've known each other for years, but only as online friends. This girl has a great sense of humour and is pretty friendly, BUT guys seems to be the only thing she talks about...? I've never had a guy want to date me because I'm not very pretty, so this makes me feel kinda bad. She will send me screenshots of her conversations with them, and say stuff like ''There are like six guys who wanna go out with me, but I don't like any of them!!!'' She basically goes on and on about how much attention she gets from dudes. Like I said, she's really nice and I don't want to end it between us, nor do I want to have a ''deep'' conversation with her about this. My irl friend told me to just answer with one word and stuff like that. Any advice? |

Question: My good friend calls me poor and fat? Please help? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:01 PM PDT My friend, often calls me fat and poor. For example, my zipper binder broke so I bought a newer, nice one. I guess he noticed, so he's like "Did you get a new binder?" and i'm like "Yeah." He replies with "Why, because you're poor?" Another example, is that I was wearing a "fancier" shirt, as I usually wear graphic and band tees, and he's like "Oh, did you get a new shirt? Did your parents get a little extra money?" Another example, is that I was pulling up my jeans and he's like "Can't fit in your jeans because you're fat?" and i'm like "No, I was just pulling them up, i'm not fat" and he's like "yeah no, you're fat." I don't understand. I'm on the bigger side, but my BMI is healthy. I wear nice clothes too. He acts like a friend, always talks to me and hangs out and stuff, so i'm wondering, why would he say this stuff to me? It upsets me a lot. |
Question: Am I spending too much time alone? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:00 PM PDT I recently moved back close (ish) to home after a few years away for school, but realized that everything has changed. Most of my friends have moved away, and out of the ones that have stayed, one is married with a child, the other a single mom, and the other still lives at home with her parents, who are pretty strict. Because of that and my hectic job in sales where I am in the field driving most days, I don't have any consistent interaction with others. I work out of my car and go home and work while watching Netflix until I go to bed. On the weekends I may go to my friends house Friday nights but if she is not available because of family obligations, I'm usually stuck without plans. It's really hard because I don't feel like I have any friends who are in the same place in life as I am, so we have less and less in common, and I don't have the energy or time to make new friends and am not really in a good place for dating right now. I'm not quite sure what I should be doing to resolve this or just enjoy this time of peace and quiet in my life. |
Question: Why am i always left out? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 12:46 PM PDT I dont know why but this year some of my once closest friends started leaving me out. I try to join in on their conversations but they always ignore me and never listen. They always go out without me and whenever i try to ask why the defend themselves. I feel so alone and I dont know what to do anymore. I just give up |

And Macie rolls her eyes at Ellie lmao.. Later on we were just hanging and then Ellie she's just like "how are you so ugly" and I'm like "cuz I hang out with you"(I couldn't come up with anything lol) and Ellie and Macie laughed and were like " that doesn't even make sense" And then later on Ellie just gets really close to my face and yells "stop wearing makeup"and walks away IM WEARING NOTHING BUT POWDER WTF Please tell me your opinions and Pleasee tell me some really good comebacks to leave her speechless And no I can't just "ditch these friends" cuz I see them basically every other day and my parents are really close with theirs ugh😒 |

Question: Passive-Agressive Sticky Mote Roommate problem? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 12:07 PM PDT Me and my best friend live in a dorm with 2 other girls. We each have our own rooms and my friend and I are pretty well organized. However, today we came home to find a passive agressice sticky note.. Well more agressive along the lines of "CLEAN UP!! *list of dirty things* am I the only one who cleans around here?!" The things she listed were not especially dirty, yeah the floor could be sweeped but it was nothing to get all riled up over...I don't know what to do because I feel like if I just do what the note says and clean, that I'm just being bullied into it by some *****, but if I don't clean the person will just be more angry. Besides me and my friend, we all lead our own lives separately and talk very little so she must have not felt comfortable talking to us about this issue.. I feel like the little smart *** in me would also like to retaliate in some way to this note but I'm not sure what t do... Any help? |

Posted: 14 Oct 2016 11:10 AM PDT am working for my current company around 2 years and half. I am senior and I am 34 years old. There's one of the girl's that is transferred from another Dept and we are the same age. She seems nice and she is junior employee. She asks me always to help her out and give her suggestions etc.. she knows there's bit of friction between me and the supervisor. So one day we were having lunch together and we started chatting ( she acts very religious and tells me she hates gossip and office politics etc) so in a joking manner I told her Michael btw is giving me the work of secretary ( Michael is my supervisor) and we both laughed and it was meant to be a joke and she claimed that she never speaks behind people. To cut long story short, she went to my supervisor and told him that Katy said u r giving her the work of the secretary and it is rubbish work. Micheal who doesn't like me generally hit the roof and went to the VP to complain about me. Michael tried his best to find faults with my work which was non existent and he told the vp what I said as well. The vp called and asked me if I said that? I was shocked because it was only that ***** I told those words 2. I explained to the vp I was having lunch with Pamela and I told her as a joke and she went and told him. My supervisor does not speak to me anymore and I don't talk to him as well. |

If we knew how, we would nominate him for "Best boss of the year". He has a great sense of humor and it is fun to come to work each day. Some of us have turned down promotions just to stay with him. The company had a class on sexual harassment one morning that we all had to attend. They told us to ask our boss if we had any more questions. We had a staff meeting the next day and one my co workers ask our boss if in the employee break room, we talked about which guy is hung would that be sexual harassment? We all had a laugh at her question and no one laughed harder that our boss. He said "If no one was offended it is NOT sexual harassment, however I STRONGLY encourage you NOT to talk about sex at work. You never know who might be listening and be offended". He said it is my legal duty to provide you a workplace that is free from sexual harassment. Was what he told us correct? |
Posted: 14 Oct 2016 10:30 AM PDT He didn't brush his teeth, do his hair, shave, and didn't change shirts, only after a week of me not talking to him and visiting him. We live out in a rural area and he doesn't have a job so there is not many people. When I came to visit him he was very embarrassed and straightened himself up. Is it depression or is it laziness? |
Question: Did I give my friend good advice. What would you have advised? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 10:30 AM PDT I got a call from my friend Alice who wanted to meet me for lunch. She had a problem she wanted my advice on. At lunch, she told me her son in law (her daughter's husband) wanted her to loan him some money. She had already made him 3 loans and he had not paid any of those 3 loans back. She wanted to know if she should make him a 4th loan. I told her this is a VERY TOUGH situation. She should probably consider the 3 pervious loans as gifts as the odds are VERY LOW they will be paid back. I told her I think the best approach would be to tell him that after he paid back the previous loans, she would consider making him a new loan. I told her to be prepared from a bad reaction from him and also possibly from her daughter. If there are grand children involved, be prepared to hear you will not see your grand children again. I told Alice to think very carefully what she wanted to do. I predict if she made another loan, there will be a request for a 5th loan in the future. I hope I gave her good advice. Do you think I did? |
Question: My friend does not want to visit me? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 10:23 AM PDT But she visits all her other friends, and goes places with them. We are both 20 year old women from California. I texted her and said call me when you have time. She responded just write here on text. I always visit her and tell her to come to me, but she never visits me. Whats going on? We have known each other for more than 10 years. I have told her to come, and she says ok, but she never does it. Gary B: Well we have known each other for a decade. How do you know she is not my friend? |
Question: We broke our friendship and now i can't stop thinking about it.? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 10:14 AM PDT So here it goes. There is 3 of us. Me, Robert, Ryan. Robert and Ryan were really close with each other. They play and hang out together. I somehow became friends with them. We 3 were friends for 2 years now. But i'm also hanging out with another group of friends. Both are cool with me until one day. We all wanted to go to an event. It involves us booking the date. Group 1 with Robert and Ryan didn't had the date set yet so we had no clue. Group 2 wanted to go on the 10th. Since group 1 still had not set up the date yet, i booked for the 10th. I messaged them saying i booked on the 10th and told them to book the same day. Robert replied saying that they already booked on 12th and asked who am i going with. I mentioned the 2nd group and he replied. "Okay, have fun loser with the middle finger emoji" And of course i insulted back in anger. Then Robert said "Ryan says F**k you". So now its clear both of them hates me now. But the thing is now i felt bad for ditching them like that. They were funny and cool friends. I just feel like it's my fault for causing the friendship to break. They're both like friends friends but to them i'm just a friend. It just sucks because we broke up due to a misunderstanding. We're 15 yrs old. How do i overcome this. I try to learn and move on but i still keep thinking about it. It's so annoying like it's hinting me that it's all my fault. Please help. |
Question: Why do jocks always start fights? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 10:11 AM PDT I know everywhere is different but this is just from my school and my experiences. At my school most of the Jocks come from middle/ upper middle class families, live in good neighborhoods, and are popular. One thing I noticed is they always try to fight over dumb things that aren't even a big deal. They are more likely to swing on someone than one of the ghetto kids from the rougher side of town. Also the jocks seem to always get away with it. This one jock who is a teachers son actually tried to fight my buddy for beating him at a game in gym class. The jock actually followed him after school yelling things like "P*ssy" at him and my friend is small so he just kept walking faster to get away. Of course after he reported him the school kept it hush hush anyway. Why is this though? Like I said just because someone comes from money doesn't mean they have a good life but from Jocks that do come from a good family are usually the biggest assholes that always try to start **** for no reason. |
Posted: 14 Oct 2016 10:09 AM PDT So When I was younger I only used to hang out with people who came from the same social economic class as I did. I never experienced bitterness or a cold shoulder. When I got older I decided to broaden my circle and try to be friends with people who were less fortunate. Real blue collar people who came from nothing or worked paycheck to paycheck. I dont' know why but I experienced people who really treated me with bitterness. Why? |

Question: How do you cut off a friendship? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 09:45 AM PDT There's this "friend" of mine that always kind of sucked but i never really cut it off because i lost most of my friends lately and i just never saw the point, but im now realising that shes always using me. She uses me for rides, money, anything. She almost never texts me for anything unless she wants or needs something. She hangs out with other people and actually makes plans with them, but when she asks to hang out with me all we do is sit around in her room and she ignores me and facetimes people. This sounds like a stupid issue to have because theres worse things in the world that can happen, but i dont know how to cut off the friendship. Shes younger than me and pretty immature but we've been friends for years. Whenever i would tell her how i feel, it would turn into a dramatic fight and/or turn around on it being my fault. Im just sick of one sided friendships. Any advice? |
Question: Why can't they fire her? IF you have to fire her? How would you do it? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 09:42 AM PDT I have this co-worker who doesn't do any **** at work. She just complain and completely rude to everyone at works. She pretend she is a innocent woman who think she is the best of anything, At first she seem nice at first but after getting to know her I found out that she is a backstabbing ***** who think she get the way of anything because she think she does more work than us. Screw that.. She doesn't want to help her team and ask for the Manger on Duty to call her and tell them about her problem and everyone doesn't get along with her because she is lazy and can't be patient. I ask one of the co-worker why can't they fired her. She said it because she would pull the race because she think we are only firing her because she is black She refuses to be a teamplayer and help everyone because she think she does more than who work there . what would you do in this situation? |

Question: I don't want to meet my best friend's boyfriend.? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 09:14 AM PDT My best friend and her friend and me and boyfriend are all going out to dinner tomorrow but I really don't want to meet him. He seems nice but i really don't want to be a third wheel. Because her and her friend are really close and my best friend seems to forget I exist when she texts him. One time we hung out and I hardly spoke to her bc she was texting him all day. I'm just thinking about canceling last minute on her. I never see her anymore either and we hardly get to speak on the phone. Should I cancel? I kinda want to drop her as a friend also. What should I do? |
Question: Was I wrong to buy my friend's daughter a gift? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 09:13 AM PDT Hello..thanks for your replies We took a trip, and invited my daughter's friend along...they are both 16...a couple of days into the trip, I went on a shopping spree, and bought my daughter an extra bathing suit...I got one for her friend, too, just as a nice gesture...the girl was really happy...she already had a suit, but I just got her one to show her how happy we were that she joined us When we got back, a week later, her mom came to my house, shoved money in my hand, and said..."but for your own daughter"....I guess she was really offended...was I wrong to buy a gift for her? I didn't see the harm. |
Posted: 14 Oct 2016 08:39 AM PDT She had many friends last year but her new class has different students.I have talked to her teacher and she said she will change her seating arrangement . I don't know if that will help or not. It hurts me to think of her sitting alone at lunch or recess. Any advice on what can help? Would the schools let me put her in a different class with her old friends? |
Question: Why do people want to make you look bad and how do you deal with them? Posted: 14 Oct 2016 08:36 AM PDT i have this one friend who ive known for many years. he acta like a good friend in conversations but then out of nowhere he would throw something in to see how would i react to it. when i react the wrong way he quickly acts like he didnt mean things that way and spreads the word on what happened or on what ive said. hes known me very well over the years and he knows how to strike. i have alot of people against me. including exgfs due to things he tells. i tried reasoning with this friend and apologized if i had ever done anything offensive towards this person. it didnt help. i also have some distant family members who would do the same exact thing. all they have is negativity to say towards you and make you feel like you are the problem. (say things like, you dont value yourself. or if im going to go into college or a big step they say something like "haha you wont make it anywhere like "this other person") when i reacted on that my family member said i was being disrespectful and that he was joking and i took it too far. that i need counceling and that i might have a disorder. later everyone looked at me like the bad person.. how do i deal with situations like this? how do i manage to grow from this? |
