Well my dad is racist, mean, strict, annoying and snobby. All he ever does is be mean to me or make fun of my friends. I am white and have money so my family sucks. My adoptive mom has made several digs at my in laws or others that are close to me (friends, biological family). Yesterday, she was at my house watching the kids while I went to a meeting and I was talking to my mother in law on the phone. When I said something to my mother in law about someone having cancer she tried to interrupt and say "has cancer, who, what, where?!" When she saw that I was not stopping my conversation to answer her, she walked out and today asked "what did Betty have to say last night?" When I said "nothing" she says "oh I know better than that, you just don't want me to know because you were gossiping about me!" Why is she like this?

With paid training and apprenticeship with opportunity to move up in company my gf has a full scholarship and will do banking but my parents are being not one bit supportive and my gf mom( she has no dad he left) offered to help and get all of us a big condo so she can help with the baby and we can save money and my parents called me a failure and said I was supposed to help them which I still can but to them I am leaving and deserting them when I'm not and they gave me everything but I need to give them back because the raised me is what they say and they also make fun of my gf and they haven't even met her or her mom and they don't ask about my baby and they say I'm going to use my job to get my new family up in life which of course is my gf and my baby but they think I'm going to use my monkey to support my gf and her mom and brothers when I am not any advice from anyone? -He never has an interest in anything I do. -He criticizes me about everything and blames everything on me. -He abandoned our family for a waitress when I was little and he's wealthy but didn't raise us and only contributed the bare minimum financially because the courts made him. -The other day my uncle died and I was trying to be supportive for my dad because he has very few friends. -The whole time I was trying to console him he told me he doesn't think I'm happy in my life and I shouldn't take the police officer job I was offered because he doesn't think I can hack it. -He also said that because he thinks I can't hold a relationship that he thinks there's something mentally wrong with me and I need to find a pill that can "fix me." (I have 2 jobs and no time for dating). -Example of lifetime abuse, When I was a kid I wet the bed one time at his house, he said that the next time I wet the bed that he is going to have me surgically fixed so I can't wet the bed again. -Finally, just before my uncle's funeral I told him I tried but he's not worth it anymore. I told him to be nice to me or get out of my life. He denied ever being abusive and then I blew up on him. He didn't apologize for anything and he said he says mean things like that because he cares about me. I told him to get out of my life. Was I wrong?

I am 23 and a junior in college. I am a dean's list honors student and have never been in trouble. Up until now. I have recently been caught by my job (I work at a doctors office) when I stole a doctors note to hand in to my school for a sick day. My job says they will notify the school and I would like to speak to my teachers before anyone else does regarding my mistake. Like I said, I have never been in trouble before for anything and my mother thinks it will be very helpful and that the teachers may react more favorably if she is present. I am reluctant to her being there and need advice. Am I just being stubborn or should I handle this by myself? I was the one who made the mistake and I just feel like I am "too old for mommy's help" but she insists that her being there will be a good thing. I do not want my teachers, who are both men in their 50's, to think poorly of me for bringing my mother. Plus, it will just make the situation more awkward for me. It will be hard to tell my teachers that I lied and gave them a fraudulent note because I was scared of taking a 0 as a grade. Do you think my mother being there will be helpful? Okay well my moms ex daughter is always copying me and it gets me mad. So she asked me what shoes I wanted before school started and I told her adidas. She wanted some converse. So two days later, we went shopping for shoes and I bought the shoes. Later that day I noticed she bought some adidas too. I wasn't that mad at the time. But then I also bought some black roshes (nikes) and she started begging her dad for the same shoes I had. I was getting irritated and wanted to leave already. Is this guy worthy of another chance? We've been seeing each other for over a year and 8 months. He has been staying with one of his kid's moms for over a month and is currently staying there because he had nowhere to live. He had been living off of savings for over a year and now lives 3 hours away with his son and son's mom until he found a job. Well he got a job where near my city & starts very soon. However he ignores me when he's around the moms. He refuses to acknowledge me around the mom, meaning he's hiding me. The phone calls are on his terms and are often made when the mom isn't around. He doesn't even call or text anymore at all but sends me one text every couple of days saying "hello or good morning sweetheart." He is talking about seeing me again when he moves back. There are times where he says he will call when he's away but never does. Weeks would go by without hearing his voice. Me and my husband moved with our two teenage sons out into the country on an old farm. We always lived in the suburbs or in the city. My boys were always impossible to get to go outside. All they wanted for Christmas was a video game, tv, phone or some other electrical appliance. We have now lived out here three months and things have changed. One of my sons hasn't even set up the tv in his room and my other has but hasn't been in the house to use it. At first me and my husband were worried they were off getting into trouble. But no. They can be found all times of day and night playing down at the lake, biking around the property and digging in the old barns. When I asked them what they wanted for Christmas... they said ATVs, fishing poles and equipment to set up a zip-line from a barn into the lake. This transformation has stunned me and my husband with how fast it has occurred and despite how much time they have been spending away from the house their grades are improving and they have more friends then they ever had in the city. They have even taken up different hobbies. One of my sons will dig old metal stuff out of the barns and has been reselling it at the local flea market. My other has begun fixing up one of the barns and the surrounding fences to become his horse stable... despite him having no experience beforehand with horses he is doing a great job. Will boys be boys? Or is this just a phase as this is still so new to them?

My parents have divorced like 9 years ago and I have gotten over it and have never had problems with it. (i am 15 btw). The biggest problem is that my parents always want for me to live in both of their houses and I hate it. I live with my mom and her family and I love it there, its close to my school and I just love my mom. But my dad lives quite far a way (like a 35minute drive) and he always wants for me to stay over at his house but i hate it, because he is super sensitive and gets angry if i dont want to go there, but its just miserable for me to get to him. He is super busy with work so I always have to manage going to his house on my own along with tutoring and my practices, and I hate changing houses. I want to live in one house not change my places all the time and I want to live with my mom. But if I won't go to my dad's he will get seriously offended. It is just too much pressure for me as a teenager to switch places and I don't know what to do in this situation cause I am really frustrated

Long story short, my grandfather passed away recently unexpectedly and didn't leave behind any sort of will. So the decision on what happens to his belongings fell onto my dad (his oldest son). But my dad and my uncle (his brother, second oldest) decided to sign some paperwork that basically gave them dual responsibility on my grandfather's possessions. The only thing I'm really interested in of my grandfather's is his truck. A majority of my memories of him started in that truck and it has some sentimental value to me. That, and I'm currently driving a 2002 PT cruiser which is falling apart and has been nothing but trouble since we got it (it was my dad's and he gave it to me when he got his new car). Not to mention I work in agriculture so having a truck would be incredibly beneficial in that aspect. But, my uncle (the same one who has the "dual responsibility" with my dad) has also expressed interest in the truck. I'm looking for some advice on how to convince my dad to choose me. I know it sounds selfish, but it's really important to me. Thank you in advance

I just can't imagine a mother just leaving her husband and kid behind, and remarrying and having new kids and starting a new family as if they never had a child to begin with.. That seems so cold.. The only situation similar to that was my ex boyfriends ex wife.. When she left him, she left the daughter and give him full custody... She would only come by MAYBE once a year to see her daughter, and ended up having another baby after remarrying and that life seemed more important to her that the once a year visit stopped.. It's different tho because at least she knew her mother and it's not like her mother completely disowned her.. It's just completely different from a mother abandoning their child at a young age, and just leaving and starting a new family..

My dad told her we are down stairs fixing the phones. She couldn't hear. Kept hearing wrong. He riased his voice and told her than. She took it he was yelling at her. And she did something wrong. She hates my boyfriend because he got me pregnant. We planned run ins with each other. He lived two miles away. Saw me with my car broken down. My grandma thinks I planned it to see him. It was the trans btw. He showed up with ice cream for me. My grandma thought it was horrible and ignorant of him Becaue my mom was sick. We are it out btw. My mom knew and said it was okay. My girlfriend (16) and I (18) have been dating for almost a year now and her mother is becoming increasingly more abusive and alcoholic. She had a father until she was three but he was even worse and they no longer communicate which is for the best. However I feel her mother is using this as an excuse to be increasingly more abusive and to drink a lot more and get away with it. She is controlling to the point of delaying my girlfriend s efforts to get a job and a car (it took a lot of work to get around her mother to accomplish these) and now she has even started to call her name s Infront of her classmates and even worse alone. We cannot take legal action because she will be transfered to her father who is even worse and I cannot take her in because I still live with my own parents who are supportive and loving but conservative just enough that they won t allow her to live with us. He constantly switches the fuse on and off to my room to wind me up so I cannot study, he plays music on full volume in the kitchen at 7 in the morning or late at night (kitchen is next to my room right behind where my bed is) and when I ask him to turn it down he won't. When I asked him to stop messing with the fuse and stop distracting me from my uni course work he won't and says 'i dont care it isnt affecting me its not my course work' and he thinks its funny. Once he kept annoying me trying to switch the fuse off so i shooed him away with my hands and he grabbed my wrists and squeezed them till it hurt. Then he complains about everything I do, we have a steamer in our flat and I didnt know you had to wash the potatoes before putting it in so he told me and I said 'ok' and i washed them, he turns round and yells at me 'if i didnt tell you, you wouldnt have washed them and you would have broken it'. I told him to stop taking his anger out on me and he shouted 'im tired', i told him its no excuse and he yells 'and you just made it worst'. He doesn't have a job, he is rarely at uni and leaves his course work till the last minute so he'd rather waste his time, complaining about everything even how i prep my veg. I told my cousin on the phone and he over heard and shouted at me saying 'lies all lies' when they weren't. Today, I was getting my lunch and he stood there and just watched me the whole time, personally i think he is narcissistic and abusive

I am a grown woman with my own home and kids (married, etc). I am very busy with my own life. My grandma is in her mid 90s, but still gets around (drives), etc. Almost every week, she demands that I (not my mom for some reason) come and do her grocery shopping and other errands for her. She demands I make a special trip using gas and valuable time that I need. She won't accept me simply getting her stuff when I get my own groceries, no I have to come over to her house and that ends up taking up my whole day. My mom also demands I go places with her (today it was to get a pedicure), and that will usually end up taking up my whole day because she wants to have lunch and go shopping. I am exhausted already and my house often goes neglected (cleaning, etc) because I give into their demands because they guilt me into them. Those two also bully me about not working full time and only working weekends and call me a bum or loser, but how can I work full time when they make these demands? Why are they doing this? My husband works out of town and is only home on the weekends and its like they take advantage of that.

I am 16. 17 in April.. My father has had full custody over my little sister and I since I was 8. I've been having some really bad problems at home lately.. I feel like no one cares about me or wants me around, and they (my dad and my stepmother) have proven this lately.. They've told me they don't want to be around me. Last Wednesday, I was hit several times and was made to leave. I walked up the road, but was made to get in the truck and come back.. Or else they could call the cops.. My dad has barely spoken to me since last week over the situation.. I talked to (Facebook messaged) my mother for the first time in 8 years yesterday.. I told her my situation and she says I can live with her and she would love for me to do so. She gave me numbers to call in case ANYTHING happens.. I was just wondering whether not the court would let me decide to live with her now that I'm older.. She used to do pills but she's quit since we were taken and she really does seem like she wants best for me.. Would the court let me decide where I wish to live, as long as her house is a safe environment and she can help support me? I am to get a job soon as well. And I don't know how to go about telling my father besides running away.. He and my stepmom do treat me badly, and they know so... But I still feel as if my leaving would hurt my family. I just can't take being treated like crap anymore.. My grandparents and the rest of the family besides my sister have no idea I'm treated the way I am..

Hello everyone, I'm looking for opinion and advice on my current situation. I'm not looking for sympathy or for people to come to my pity party, just maybe some good advice moving forward, I'll try to keep it as short as possible and sorry If some of it comes out as blunt.  Firstly I'll just state the things that I think have impacted my current state, outlook and energy towards life again I'm going to be abit blunt as it's basically a short life story. Up until I was 8 my life was quite happy and 'normal' my parents split up when I was 8, my mum got cancer when I was 10 which she had for 10 years and passed away from when she was 52 and I was 20, done bad at school and struggled concentrating because of everything, my dad got cancer when I was 15 and died when I was 17, my nan also passed away from cancer before I was 21, basically my whole family wiped out along all pretty much died in my arms with my heart and soul it feels like sometimes in just a few years. My brother who I lived with from 16 smoked alot of weed at the time to deal with things I think and ended up in rehab and got sectioned with mild schizophrenia when he was 24 and saw all the unfold, problem with a stepdad and another brother being in kicked out, fights, alcohol you get picture. I've been travelling the world/running for a few years now, I've had some great time and even grown in ways but theirs and underlining theme in my life, and that's bad luck/karma

Question: My SIL is being a b****. She is having a birthday party for my niece's 1st birthday and sent invites to everyone, except me and my parents.?

I've tried to talk to her everyday for the past two weeks on chat, but have gotten no response. When I asked my brother about it, he said that he sides with her since our dad told her that she was not part of the family, we have failed to include her in any of our events except where we need her help, and even went so far as to tell her that she was not wanted at my wife's bridal shower. Yes, I did tell her that because my mom told us to just send a token invite. And I wouldn't have said anything if she hadn't booked a ticket to come to the shower. But that was 2 years ago. We have had a rocky relationship since because she is being petty. And now, on top of not inviting our family to my niece's party, she won't come to my wife's baby shower and won't let our niece come either. As a cherry on top, she reported me and my mom on Facebook for posting pictures of our niece without tagging her or asking for her permission. She texted my mom saying that we don't have permission and to take the pictures down or she will report us. We ignored it since that's just rude and childish of her to threaten us like that. What should I do? My brother is of no help since he sides with her and just says that if we can't respect her, then there is no reason we should get respect back. How can I respect someone being so disrespectful to our family?

He's a user, a women beater and a fuckboys. He's using my mom and he's married to another woman in his country. You can see why I hate this guy, now... It's my moms' birthday and I was talking to her this morning, she quickly gave the phone to him so I can say "Hi", but I hung up.

I went through his phone and read his text messages. I got the other woman's number and text her from his phone. She did the same thing. She went through his phone and text me. She got my phone number from him and she has been calling and texting me since. She has embarrassed him public by throwing drinks on him and punching him in the face in front of his friends. She even cut up some of his clothes and left them outside of his apartment building. He told me that he doesn't trust me because I've gone through his phone and for all he knows I've been through his wallet and pockets. I was slightly insulted because all he's done is lie to me and tell me that he was no longer seeing this woman. I went through his phone just to verify that he was still in contact with her and still seeing her. He has stood me up with not calling. Now he's telling me that he is choosing not see me because he can't trust me, but why does he still trust her enough to still see her?

Question: I m 14 and in love with videoganes, but I have bad grades and don t do my hw. What should I do?

I have till nov 3 and I have many friends but most are younger then me that live in the same area no family will take me and I cant rent a apartment no friends can take me in for the reasons of being underage I want a job so I can survive but I don't know how to get one I'm leaving cause in the past my mom has been abusive and I cant take all the hate I latterly fear her and blocked her away so we made a agreement the I would leave when I'm 16 if she leaves me alone till then I saw that she cant lock me out and if I go to someone else she can accuse them of kidnap but I don't wanna live with her I wanna start my own life I personally own very to no things and it wont help because almost everything I bearly own myself is used for something she owns I have been in hospitals over and over for suicide and in school I'm in 10th grade but I'm failing cause of stress I will probably no get a high school degree but I want a job and try to like get a room mate and apartment for a place to live and start a life I am a great peoples person and I am very smart on most things I don't have any friends that knew from when I was younger for were their family would trust or like me so I cat go with them I'm a hard worker and hate doing nothing I wanna work and get a roommate with a apartment cause I been alone to long in my life but I know that wont happen

My grandfather abused and violated me until I was 7. My mom lost custody over me and I was placed in foster care and later adopted. I have contact with my biological mother and she told me that my grandfather is very old and sick and she wants me to come see him again before he passes away. I cant get myself to do it. Cant I tell her I'm not ready? How do I forgive him?

This is a long story, but I will do my best to make it short. I m 13 years old, me and my cousins, one of them is 12, one is 10 and the other is 9. We are going to sneak in our grandpa s home, we will go there by 4 PM, plan it all until 11 PM, where the whole home is sleeping expect us, who will be sneaking inside to play on a PS4, black ops 3, all together, the four of us, we prepared the PS4 gears, what we re going to do and how we re doing it. At 11 PM, we will make sure everyone is asleep there, then we will go buy some food from the store, we will sneak inside, go up and into the room and turn on the PS4, I will go down, my cousin will turn on the game and shoot a few rounds and I ll come back and tell him if I heard it or no, we do this so we make sure the sound won t reach it below. After that it s all a breeze, if the sound reaches we will decrease it, if it doesn t we will increase it a bit since we like the feeling of it, afterwards we will be playing all night, until morning. It s going to be one of the best days of my life since this is the first time I do such a thing. There are a few problems I need help with... My cousin gets insane when he sees us playing on it without his permission, actually, he never gave us permission, which is why we re sneaking, this day is very special since they will be out most of the night, it is our golden chance, it happens once every year, it is our very first time doing such a thing. I'm updating since there is no space for further writing, anyways. The main problem is our cousin, surprisingly and suddenly enters "his" room, and we're caught, we're pretty sure he wont return but if he does, it's game over... If we can somehow solve that, it's all good. We won't wake anyone up, they're heavy sleepers. We're planning this for days and we really want it to happen, please help us solve that problem... I know it sounds really childish and movie(ish) but we really want it to happen, and it's going to be my first time playing with my best cousins and/or friends.

My dad always treats me like I'm useless. I am a 20 year old who is about to finish my 4 year degree in a few weeks. I earned this with my hard work. My parents never let me get a job because they want me to focus on school full time (at least the way they make it seem to the public) at home I'm referred to as useless. My parents did get me my car and I'm thankful. I know I could help around the house a little more. I always have a little extra money in my bank account because of my student loans and whatever is left after tuition and books I keep for any reason I may need it throughout the semester. Whenever my parents are in a financial hole I give them what I can. Today, my dad told me to pay the water bill (but with his money I just had to go in and pay it) but by the time my class came around I honestly forgot. It was a mistake and an accident. But now my dad is just making faces and giving me more attitude about how I am useless and good for nothing. They made me so finanically dependent on them they wont let me get a job or they will take away my car I just want to save enough money where I can move out already. They hate me. They never say a good word about me to me unless it is public just to make themselves look good. I just want them to love me and respect me and not just treat me like crap at home yet go out and make themselves look like parents of the year. Who is at fault here.. me or him?

My daughter is 19 years old and met this young man at the technical vocational school she is attending. He was a foster kid until he turned 18. He works full time at a shoe store and is going full time to school for an x-ray technician. He is in public housing, on food stamps and who knows other government programs he's on the dole. But that's not my concern. My concern is his biological mother who is in prison for life for helping her boyfriend (who for all I know may be the father of this young man) kill a police officer while attempting to evade arrest for production of crystal meth. I know this not because the young man was forthcoming about his parentage but because he told me that he was raised by his grandmother until she passed away when he was 9. I asked what was her name for I knew people with that last name and wondered if I might have known her. Once I had his grandmother's first and last name I googled her obituary, found his mother's name listed as a survivor and googled HER name. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and I believe there is a lot of truth in it. Yes, yes, I know it looks as if he is working hard to improve his lot in life, but how well does anyone know him? He could be cooking up crystal meth in his apartment right now for all I know.

Question: How do I deal with my mom and my aunt saying things like I am intelligent and other stupid things like that?

I am not really intelligent. I am 20 and only have high school along with college so far (going to be switching to a different type of college later this month). They are the only ones along with a girl who liked me my senior year who said I wasn't stupid. Everyone else including my dad thinks that I am and I don't necessarily blame those people, but I just think that it's sad. How do I deal with it?

not really sure how to start this so i'll just get right into it. (i'm 15 yo btw)- i told my mom i was going to bed around 30 minutes later i'm watching netflix on my computer sitting at my desk with my door open my dogs laying on my bed to the side on my bed i have this low shelf that no one can see on this shelf i have a dildo my dogs sees it grabs it and bolts out of my room with it i get up follow him not knowing what to do my mom thinks i'm asleep so i had to be as quite as possible standing in the hallway completely shocked i see him running all around the house with it in his mouth our house is very open and can pretty much see in every other room from the kitchen if you look the right way so i'm horrified at his point and hear her say "Liam what do you have" "oh ****" and he runs up really close to her then runs away he did that several times after me tying pretty much everything i can think of to get it back without her seeing me i remember that he loves the shower so i turn it on and he runs in the bathroom with it so i finally got it back after 20 minutes of this torture so at this point i'm not really sure what to do about it i'm super embarrassed but i'm sure it's not the worst thing that me and her will experience we're pretty close she's really chill but i'm just completely embarrassed any advice would help and it's not just any dildo it's like a 7 inch thick penis lol so thanks y'all lol

So when I was three years old my mom passed away and me and my brothers all had different dads. I went with my dad and my brothers went with my aunts. They came over once when I was five and then I saw them when I was sixteen years old because I visited them a few times, but now me and my brothers don't even talk. I am also the youngest and my moms death didn't effect me as bad as my brothers. Do you guys think my brothers even care about me?
