Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:40 PM PDT Basically me and my sister live at home with my mum and step dad. We both moved out. But had to more back because it's expensive to live alone. So my sister moved back 4 days ago. Ever since then it's been hell. My mum acting like I'm making problems about my sister I'm really not. Every little thing I do my mum picks up on it. What should I do. I hope this passes in time. |
Question: Why do people migrate from Mexico? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:33 PM PDT When I was a kid, I would always hear my families stories about when they suffered from hunger in the desert from Mexico to US. However, now that I am older I don't understand why they migrated? How do we have a better life? We live in the ugliest place of Los Angeles. My family also came from a wealthy family with great opportunities in Mexico most of my cousins are Lawyers, Doctors, and Engineers making a great living out there. Why do people want you to hear them when they talk about their bad stories as a kid how much they suffered but they truly don't tell you the whole story (they made that decision ) . Do I have to care that they didn't feed us as kid because they didn't have money? Who told them to have 8 children, because I remember as a kid there was always enough money for my families alcohol? Someone explain this to me? |
Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:25 PM PDT I will pay for it myself when I move out but will she legally be able to do anything to prevent me from taking the car? It's my car, she got it for me last year but she has the payment documents and stuff. I have no idea what other documents exist. |
Question: Should I not watch porn? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:22 PM PDT I'm 15 years old, male and I want to know if I should stop watching porn. I have a very close realataionship with my mother and I know she hates it. I'm clearly aware that it's all fake and completely unrealistic but I want to make sure it's not bad for me because I don't want to upset my mother. I feel like if I was in a relationship with a girl I would stop. And I don't have an addiction because I can go a week without watching but it just helps to ya know get off. Any support will help thank you. |
Question: My sister is going to run away from home next week? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:16 PM PDT I get that my sister is 19 so she's an adult and all but she is also still pretty new to America and is still very independent...she says she is going to move to Colorado where my one older sister lives and had already bought the tickets and everything, but she is also not telling my Mom. My mom is on vacation right now but there's been a lot of family drama between my mom and the rest of the family, and I feel like they've influenced her in a way to get away too (we used to have a big family live with us). I'm kind of speechless but also devastated for the fact that now I feel like I'm going to feel total loneliness, and how my mom is going to be in great pain and also feel betrayed. I'm thinking about thanksgiving and Christmas and how incomplete and lonely it will be, I was never really close with my sister but it was still a company everyone was used to having. Is this just how I have to accept it? I don't necessarily want to force her to stay either, but I am mad at my sister and nieces in Colorado for influencing her to come and think life is "better" there |
Question: I'm 12, and my mom started looking through my ipad mini every night. Is this wrong? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:12 PM PDT My mom began taking away my Ipad mini every night at 9:00, and looks through my web history. She does this because she thinks I sent naked pictures to a boy, even though I didn't do that, and told her relentlessly. Is this wrong? What should I do? |
Question: Family fought, dad left? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:10 PM PDT So basically me and my dad and my mom had an argument and my dad just drove off... I'm worried for him but I don't wanna call him just in case he's still mad... I can't think of any place he would stay but idk I guess I'm just worried. What do you think I should do? It's been about an hour and a half. |
Question: My sister ignores me when I'm happy? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:04 PM PDT She's always got an attitude and she will ignore me. I'm currently losing weight and I'm super happy with my results do far and ever since I started she has just been ignoring me or giving me "this look" and stuff. I ignore it. I just go on my way but why is she like that? She's the type of person who LOVES ATTENTION. I think what really set her off was when my oldest sister(who doesn't live at home) saw me and mentioned I look skinnier. It's not just about my weight loss, it could be me saving my money or me getting something, or whatever. It's ONLY WITH ME!! Why?? I never ever did anything to her but help her with things. |
Question: Is a nun costume offensive? Read below before answering? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 12:38 PM PDT I want to be a white known from American horror story but I cannot find a all white costume so I was gonna dress up with a regular black nun costume but still pay my face white with black tears would this be offensive Nun not known |
Question: Am I the luckiest wife ever? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 11:45 AM PDT My husband's mother Joan (my mother in law) is beautiful and has a gorgeous figure. She sure does not look old enough to have a son my husband's age. Besides being beautiful, she is very smart, very talented, and very rich. I just adore her. She is a great friend, something my other married friends can not understand. They tell me "who is ever friends with their mother in law"? At least once a week she takes me shopping or to see a movie and/or then to a high end restaurant such as Ruth Chris for lunch or dinner. While shopping if I see something I like she will buy it for me. She will not let me pay for any of the restaurant meals we have. Next week we are going to Las Vegas to see a show we wanted to see and she is paying for the whole thing. I told my husband there is no way we can ever repay her for all the things she is doing for me. He told me his mom was the only girl in her family and she did not have any daughters so consider myself her adopted daughter. She is thrilled to have a female in her life to share herself with. He said she is happier that anytime in her life so just please continue to be her friend and if she wants to buy you things, let her. Please give me some advice on how I should feel about this. Should I feel guilty about all the great things she has done for me? Am I the luckiest wife ever? |
Question: Should I go live with my mom? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 11:41 AM PDT I am 17 and my mother recently remarried a man who is 12 years younger than her. He smokes pot daily and is an alcoholic who doesnt make any money at is job. He is also very domineering and loud bordering on verbally abusive. I don't like him. My mother and him always have drama in which she wants me to side with her and puts me in the middle. She is moving across the country to be with her new husband and I don't really have anywhere else to go but with her since my father passed away a couple years ago. The past year has been hard for me because my mother was never around she was never home for weeks at a time and always out of state visiting her man while I was home alone. Should I go live with her? |
Question: Did I screw up with my ex mother in law? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 11:41 AM PDT I got a call from my ex mother in law Carol that she had a big favor to ask of me. She was a good friend when I was married to her daughter Betty so I said "How can I help you". She told me she had been trying to get to a local company owner to sell him some stuff for 6 months. She found out he was going to be at a social function THAT EVENING and she wanted to go but it required she have a male escort to attend the function and she wanted me to go with her. I said sure. About a week later I got a call from Carol that she had got a very larger order from the company owner. She said I owe you big time for going with me on such short notice. Please let me take you to dinner to say thank you. I told her I would meet her for dinner if it would not cause any problem between her and her daughter Betty. She said it will not cause a problem. The next day I got an email from Carol that dinner last night was the most fun she had had in years. She said "Lets do it again sometime". I also got a call from Betty that ask me NOT to have any more dinners with her mom. She said you were so nice to her mom and her mom might start having feeling for me. I have NO romantic interest in Carol and I don't think she has any interest in me. I think Carol just likes to have fun sometimes. Gals, or anyone else, please give me some advice on how I should handle this so I don't end up hurting anyone. |

Question: How to help aging mother who lost her job? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 11:36 AM PDT My mother is over 60 and recently lost her job due to an on site accident. She is currently getting workman's comp as they have not medically released her. She wants to find another job however she is very particular about where she works and is in denial about not going being able to go back to work at her old job. She has problems hearing and wants her children o go out and find jobs for her. She also can no longer afford her house and will have to sell and downsize. She went through a divorce a few years ago and bought a house that was above her means financially and now has to sell it. This was after marrying a man who was over 13 years younger than her who was an alcoholic loser who never made any money from his "job". She has made poor decision after poor decision and complains about money problems but will go on multiple vacations. What can I do about helping her out? |
Question: Did I make a mistake trying to help my sister? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 11:29 AM PDT My sister was dumped my her husband of 10 years for a woman much younger than she was. The house sold and she had to move but her apartment would not be ready for 2 weeks so she is temporally staying with my husband and me. As expected she is depressed and has a very low self esteem. Trying to help her I asked my husband to tell her she is still beautiful and appealing to men. He did not want to do it but I insisted and that was what he told her. BIG MISTAKE. She thought he was flirting with her and she has been flirting with him ever since. He has been trying to avoid her but it is hard when she is living here. He wants me to tell her to back off. His is not interested in her in any way. I think he should tell her so I will remain good friends with her. Please give me your opinion. Who should tell her? My husband says the faster she leaves our house the better. |
Question: How can you pick yourself back up after a rough year? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 11:13 AM PDT I m 23 and my whole life up until this year has been so good. Then since November 2015 things changed drastically my mum suffered 5 brain haemorrhages in one go, she had no previous bad health so this was such a shock. We almost lost her and she spent 2 weeks on life support Now she is blind and has paralysis down one side. This has meant my younger sister, who is 18, has had to put her hopes of going to university on hold to look after my mum. My dad has to work very long hours to pay the bills now, but he has a job pays well. But he is being made redundant on Monday and won t have a job. This will mean my sister is the only one in the house who will be bringing in money and she is only working a little bit, whilst going to college and looking after my mum. My friend was diagnosed With bowel cancer. This month my boyfriends dad had a serious stroke caused by a blood clot in his brain. He s really not well either. (By the way our parents are all aged 48). I ve landed a job which ties me to a specific city away from home. I can t leave either as I would owe them all the money they spent in training me and I can t afford that. But I hate it Now I have found out my uncle (my mums only brother) has schizophrenia and his wife is divorcing him. She s also refusing to let him, or any of my family see my cousin who is 4. Al this has happened in 12 months. I can t cope. I don t know what to do and I spend a lot of my time feeling so helpless? I need some advice on this? |
Question: How to tell my brother how I feel about him? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 11:11 AM PDT My brother is the worst person ive met in my life. He goes out of his way to make people have a bad life and he is always angry. I see other peoples siblings and wish that I was them. Today I was watching digimon and he saw an opportunity to make my day suck. He started saying "Youre 13 now stop watching kid shows" among other things. How do I tell him that I hate him? |
Question: Did I do the right thing by walking away or not? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 10:52 AM PDT I had an argument with a guy in a bar last night (not my fault) and I'd had loads to drink and he punched me a few times.. I can't fight when I'm drunk so I just tried to defend myself and just ended up walking away and doing nothing back.. was this the right thing to do by walking away? I don't like fighting and thought about my family and what could have happened if it continued.. The guy followed me out as I walked off on to the street but eventually stopped following me... am i the bigger man to walk away or should I of tried to fight? I wasn't in anyway ready to fight because I'd had that much to drink. Did I do the right thing here? |

She used to be such a strong and level headed person but now she seems lost and confused. Question: My mom wants me to pay rent? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 10:44 AM PDT I'm 16 and just got my first job. I get paid $1,000 a month and my mom wants me to pay her my ENTIRE paycheck to her every month for rent. My dad disagrees but my mom is stuck on that idea. She won't let me even have $1 of the money I made. In a lot of places $1,000 a month can pay rent so I could possibly move out but I live in New York city so rent is extremely high here. I don't know what to do. What's the point of me having a job if I don't get a single penny of what I make? I want to move out but I don't know how it will be possible like this btw; my parents are not struggling with rent. my dad told me they can pay the bills just fine, mom just wants the money for her own reasons. I don't exactly have the best relationship with my mother due to her being controlling and beating me so I don't exactly want to give her the money I earned, esp. when she doesn't need it |
Question: I'm 15 & MY MOTHER LIES AND LIES ON MY NAME ABOUT EVERYTHINGGGG? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 10:22 AM PDT DISCLAIMER I'm not a bratty spoiled 15 year old : but anyways my mother hasn't done **** for me for about a whole year; she constantly cheats and is cheating on my dad, I try and tell my dad but he only believed me when he caught her talking to other men on this messaging APP , but when she was confronted about the messages by my dad my mom said I took her phone and sent messages to these men when I didn't?? Also this one night I was so tired of my parents BS that I left and went to my friends house at about 12pm and came back at 4am; but without any questions my mom lied and said I went to sleep(have s*x) w/ my neighbors son who is very close to our family?? THE WORST PART IS SHE LIED AND SAID IT & because of her lying *** they hate me now. ALSOOO about 3 weeks I asked my mom to buy something for me off amazon which she agreed to and I for once believed that she did'. She told me that shipping would take 8 to 10 shipping days and when I asked her why the product hasn't came she tried telling me that people hacked amazon and that they were holding all orders in? I swear I cant deal with her if anything happens she always says I did it ! I have 2 older sister who are 18 & 20 , and she favors them so much ! She doesn't realize how her actions affect me; also my dad is as worse as she is....only difference is he doesn't lie he's just incredibly rude but also favors my 18yr old sister.....please help me |
Question: Why does my mom gossips, lies, speculate, and smears people all the time? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 10:04 AM PDT Today while I was getting dressed for work I over heard my on the phone gossiping to my grandma. It was about my sister and her boyfriend, she doesn't like him. I overheard her twisting stories, lying, and telling half truths about stuff. She was saying he's arrogant and say "smart" stuff, and he's an asshole and almost completely making stuff up. She usually does stuff like this to make herself more sympathetic while venting. I just shook my head until she threw me in there saying" I just want everything to be peaceful so I just go along with stuff." So now she told a lie of a story and then made me bad in the story. I walked in her room to ask her what she was talking about and she shooed me away while she went with the story. Then she gossiped more about stuff that we have no idea about with them. I was pissed and wanted to yell out lier while she was on the phone. She knew she was lying so when I looked pissed and stormed off she looked guilty. She lies about me and my sister to us even. Dont get me wrong my sister is a handle full and I don't care one way or the other about the guy, but the gossip seems creepy in a way to me. She told me I was lying about this and that and when I was on a trip alone I was really doing that only to have it blow up in her face the next day or week. I'm going home after work to confront her about the lies, speculation, and random tantrums when I get home. In her world everyone is an ****** and she's the sweet kind victim. |

Question: How to convince my parents to take me to a World Series game? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 09:32 AM PDT My parents won tickets to the Cubs and Indians game. He can take up to four people, and my family has 5, but my older brother isn't home so it's technically 4. My dad told me that I'm for sure a bigger fan than my sister, but he won't take me due to costs and the overall effort. Since it might be on a school night, I've offered to get all work done the day before. I've even said that I would give up the birthday trip we were going to take if I could just go. I want to go so badly, and the tickets are free! The only issue is getting there and back quickly so I won't be a mess when school comes. Please help!? |

Question: My parents are having issues... I need help please? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 08:35 AM PDT I heard my dad talking on the phone really loud from in the basement and (I know this might have been wrong...) but I picked up a phone and eavesdropped on his conversation with my mom (who is in another state on a work trip). She said she was sorry for lying (idk what about), and I heard my dad whisper that they need marriage help... I think he believes she was cheating. Idk what to do this doesn't feel real... any advice? Should I just ignore my parents from now on? I feel like I'll make things worse.. |
Question: Girls who drive would you have done this? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 08:25 AM PDT I just got back from taking my sister to her friends house. Since I did not get out of my car and was only gone for 20 minutes I drove barefoot and left my shoes at home. |
Question: Who do you think should get the biggest room? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 07:59 AM PDT My mom, my brother and I recently moved into a 3 bedroom apartment and I'm very upset that I got the smallest room. Initially, the plan was to find somewhere that's convenient enough for everyone because All of us will be splitting the bills. At first I was ok with being in the smallest room because I'm the youngest but when I went to the apartment to look at the room I realized that it was way too small. I told my mom that personally I believe that my brother should get it because he's a boy, yea he's a few years older than I am but he's a boy and he told my mom that we won't be getting that much furniture so theirs no reason why he should have that much space. Her and i kept going back and forth because she just believes that since my brother is older he should get the biggest room which I don't think is fair. I'm a girl and I already told her that I'll be buying an entire furniture set but unfortunately I can't because the room is only big enough for a bed and a dresser ..NOTHING ELSE. I also have to deal with the fact that where we moved to is much further from my job and way closer to my brothers job So it's like everything is just being pressured on me and no one cares about my feelings. My mother wants me and my brother to pay 525 dollars for rent and I'm only paying 300 because my room is very small. Do you think I'm being unreasonable or should I get the bigger space ? I'm 18 and my brother is 24 @debbie the master bedroom belongs to my mother. |

Question: Is it reasonable to loose all contact with your family just to finally be happy? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 07:45 AM PDT (If youre a troll **** off cause there has been to many here lately) I have been thinking about this for so long. Im 22 and decided that i should have been gone by now. But im still living in such a toxic household that i want to be free from... Ive grown tired of negativity i have to go through with my family. My mother causes me alot of depression and i attempted suicide before because of her. When i was younger she was incredibly violent and abusive to me and my brother. A few years later she had two more children and for some reason became softer, atleast to them. Now she is more verbally abusive and its just as bad. I dont get along with my siblings either. My two younger siblings were given more freedom than me or my older brother so they have spoiled behaviors. Everything my mother did not allow me to do she lets my sister do and shes the complete opposit of me. Im 22 and my mother still wants to control my decisions. I dont even go out unless its for work cause she gets so dramatic if its for anythings else. She likes to constantly falsely accuse me of things ive never done. Like being a whore and what not but i still havent even had a boyfriend yet. I dont get along with anybody and im more often depressed when they are all home with me and think of suicide too much. Do you think that when i finally move it is reasonable to cut ties with my family forever? |
Posted: 29 Oct 2016 07:43 AM PDT So yesterday my mother and I got into an argument because she said she'd had enough of me being a ***** this whole week, which is true I have been grouchy. But she took it way too far and started hitting me (we were in the car). After I got out of the car she pushed me in a chair and grabbed my throat. She didn't choke me, but still. She's slapped, hit, pulled my hair, before but never grabbed my throat. I'm a 15 year old girl who's life is great except when I'm at home. I have good grades, not a trouble maker, but sometimes I do have an attitude with my mom. I could live with my dad, but he lives far away and it's hard to just leave everything you've ever known. I could also stay with my grandparents, who live close by. My grandmother knows what happened and she said she would take care of it but I'm still stressing. When we do get in arguments like these, she'll sometimes act like it never happened. I also have 2 little siblings but she never does anything to them, it's always me. She tries to bring me down telling me that I think I'm better than everyone, and she told me that when i come back (at my dad's Bc it's his weekend) I wouldn't have a life. If I do go back there is a possibility that she'd just act like nothing happened. She works a lot and I've babysat my siblings since I was 10. It would be hard on her if I left but I just can't take anymore. Any suggestions on what I should do? |

Posted: 29 Oct 2016 07:18 AM PDT My mother had a big fight with her family when I was little because her Dad had alcoholism. Her Dad died two years later but we are outsiders ever since. My mother says they blame her for her Dad's death (he died of alcohol overdose or poisoning). I was little then, age 6, but now as a 20 year old I feel sad we are not closer. We see my mother's family once a year on average and they are polite but my cousins look at me like a stranger. I started to try and reach out by taking a Christmas gift around at age 16 but my mother became furious I'd be nice to her foes. How can I get close to this part of the family? We are close to my Dad's side but not my mother's side. Even the recent wedding we were not asked to but I saw on my cousin's facebook page that all the other cousins were there (we were the sole group not there). I feel bad about myself that only my mother-father and my two siblings and I miss out, everyone else is close. My mother has five siblings (four living). |
Posted: 29 Oct 2016 07:16 AM PDT My mother let me borrow one of her pots a year ago almost. Out of no where the other day she asked for her pot back..I looked for it low and high and then realized I threw it out by accident. Months back I was boiling chicken dosed off and woke up to smoke..i tried soaking it , rinsed it and didn't throw it out, I put it up ..one day when I was cleaning I threw out some stuff in the kitchen and realized I accidentally threw away her pot when I threw away very old pans of mine. This woman is extremely short tempered and gets sick quick literally! I know she will say the following: 1)I'm going to have to get your stepfather to take me to the emergency room! 2)Now I can't make it to my doctors appointment on Monday I'm too sick 3) b@tch B#$ch and more B@#ch I'm going to be called. Amongst other things I might even get threatened I have before a long time ago. I can pay her back for the pot but I know she won't be satisfied because its an old style pot. I move around like a chicken with my head cut off I'm single, live alone and work my azz off sometime I can dose off on this couch and somebody call me and I forget if it's the same day or if I have to wake up for work. I am overwhelmed , tired and I'm really not prepared for the drama my mother is about to bring..trust me I didn't intentally mean to throw her pot away because I know her temperament. Does anybody have any advice? |
Question: How to tell if "everything is fine"? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 07:15 AM PDT My former professor told me that I channeled a message to her from her deceased daughter. I just liked the professor and I got her flowers. Well little did I know there was a flower in the arrangement, that was a flower between her and her daughter. Is this devilish? Ever since the professor really likes me. She would sit near me in class, wink at me, and she did ask for a hug that day. Now I'm a former student and she hugs me everytime she sees me. She told me I'm a wonderful person and her best encouragement. Well I kinda told her I loved her. Well I emailed her and I said I loved and cared about her and I hope to be half the nurse she is. Well I instantly felt like I shouldn't have sent the email. I saw her a few days later in the hallway. She came right up to me smiled and hugged me tightly. I was very embarrassed and very short. I sent her an email saying I was sorry if my last email made her uncomfortable and sorry I was short with her I was embarrassed about my email. She replied everything is fine. Did she really mean it? She's 60 and I'm 25. I'm straight. And she's married. Side note: I'm around her daughter's age when she passed away. 10 years ago. |
Question: Why Is My Dad So Annoying? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 07:10 AM PDT He is very loud. He never shuts his mouth. He whistles all the time. He acts like a five year old. He gets mad over dumb things easily. He says my full name instead of just my first name (I hate that). He talks to himself loudly. He has this "woe is me personality". He needs to learn to mind his own business. He treats me like I'm five. Whenever we're driving, he cranks up the radio and sings loudly. He makes cheesy jokes. He's a blubbering hypocrite. |
Posted: 29 Oct 2016 07:03 AM PDT I get yelled at, 24/7 by my parents every time I talk. Even if I have a friend over, or I'm saying something to the dog I get yelled at to shut the f*ck up or I'll beat you with a belt in the face. The heck... Is that normal? I'm not trolling. I get told to shut up for everything I say. It's like I'm supposed to be mute. Maybe I am. I dunno. |
Question: Sister won't quit seducing me please help me? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 06:39 AM PDT I am 16 and she is 21 and lately she's been seducing me like crazy. For instance she comes and touches my junk when I'm lying on a coach then whispers ' No one has to know'. This is so awkward for me and i don't know if i should tell my mom about it or how do i even confront this situation |
Question: How to stop grandparents buying me crap? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 05:59 AM PDT I always ask for decent presents every Christmas. Usually 2 or 3 high value gifts as opposed to lots of little gifts. Anyway I am getting older now (16) and I like to go hunting. Every year I get good gifts from my parents (last year a rifle and a new bag) but my grandparents always buy me this cheap crappy bear grylls gear. I hate it, the colours and the fact it's all poorly made Chinese junk. It's embarrassing to take to hunts, but I have to take it most of the time because I don't want to hurt their feelings. How should I go about asking them to stop buying me cheap nasty gear without hurting their feelings? I know I sound like a spoilt brat but Google this crap and you'll see what I mean. |
Question: My brothers are ganging up on me, what do I do? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 05:56 AM PDT They are picking on me because my father left me an equal share in his estate as them. They feel that is wrong and unfair since they are the men of the family and so they should be getting all the money, I should only get pictures and souvenirs like that. I keep telling them this is 2016 and not 1816 but they are mad. We are also all American so there is no cultural difference at all. So how do I get them to stop ganging up on me. My son said they are trying to get him involved now by friending him on Facebook and telling him I am a greed filled person and not to grow up like me. I told my son just to block them but he is afraid of making people mad. They are bombarding with insults non-stop. Our father died in May and I want to mourn, not deal with my obnoxious brothers. |
Question: My Dad doesn't love me, how do I get him to love me instead of just liking me? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 05:41 AM PDT My Mom says since my Dad divorced her he might like me but he does not love me. She and her parents love me. If my Mom is right how do I get my Dad to love me? She reminds me of this whenever I do something nice for my Dad. |

Question: Do you think we should go or not? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 05:06 AM PDT so my mom has talked to me about visiting New York to see family for the holidays and she wants to see her parents and siblings, and everybody there. all our family lives in new York and we live in Georgia. My dad lives there, I live with my mom stepdad and siblings. The thing is my mom wants to go to new York and visit but she then says she doesn't because theres no money and she has to buy gifts for everyone, and she feels like nobody will give her space to stay and sleep . Honestly most of our family members live in small houses.so yes my mom has a point in that .The other thing is money, I mean like the only person who really has a job is my stepdad.Im 18 so I should be having a job, but I do have money saved up, if we go to new York then we will be driving to new York and my mom plans on going for 3 days , that's just wasting gas. For me I feel like she should have never brought the topic up since she does the same thing over by overthinking the trip. Yeah its kinda late to plan a trip thats barely a month away, what do you think I should do, let the plan go and not talk about it or convince her to go and visit family. |
Question: My sons dad is casually racist? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 04:53 AM PDT Not KKK or anything, but he's always talking about n**** this, **** that, and my son has been echoing some of it. He's even kind of scared of black people. How do I get his dad to stop, or at least explain to my son that its not OK? |
Question: How can I deal with an old brother? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 04:22 AM PDT My brother and I have a 4 year difference so if I stand up for myself, I will get absolutely hammered. My parents don't really care, and even though I got better grades than him and I passed when he failed. He will always talk himself out of things which is a skill I don't have. When I am around my friends, he makes up untrue rumors about me. If I do the tinniest thing wrong I'll get beaten. He always blackmails me and says "You know what happens if you stand up to me." Please give me a GOOD way to stop him, preferably including getting beaten mercilessly. |
Posted: 29 Oct 2016 04:05 AM PDT Im 15 and my brother is 17 and he is just dreamy. He is insanely handsome and pretty and has really nice body like muscles and everything, and he works out at home a lot so he is often shirtless and i just cant help myself but to stare at him, i find him very attractive. We are very close and he hugs me or spends time with me very often and i just cant help myself, i always look at him as more then a brother. I know this is wrong, but i really cant stop thinking about him, he is the only thing in my head for the past month. Please, how can i stop this. Im afraid i might do something stupid and it would ruin our wonderful relationship |
Posted: 29 Oct 2016 04:00 AM PDT My niece from my brother who I am close with, had moved to Florida. She says she is going to Disney world. I ask her to send me the park brochures they give out for free. She actually ask my brother (her dad) why do I need these and who is going to pay to get them to me. My brother tells her to send them and pay. Well she did a postage due when she sent them. So I have to pay the postage. Yes its deeper than that in that I thought our relationship was fine. She would come to my house and hang out with my daughter and all before she moved. Now that she will be coming back to visit in a few months I don t feel I want her around because I don t know what her issue is. Yes the postage was a few bucks as she used an extra large envelope to send only a couple brochures. She didn t even get them all. How should I handle things in the future? |
Question: I can't live in my house anymore, please help me.? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 03:45 AM PDT I need to leave my house, I'm not safe there. My father physically and verbally abuses me. Everytime I stick up for myself it gets 10x worse. My mother stands by and lets him and so does my brother. They don't care they even tell me its my fault. I'm 15 so I can't move out but I really can't deal with this anymore. Somebody please help. What can I do to leave my home apart from running away. |
Question: Should I tell my parents that I used to be anorexic aand suicidal? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 03:37 AM PDT I am looking for an answer hopefully from a psychologist or from a parent or someone who knows a if it is worth it. I was anorexic 4 or 5 years ago when I was still living with my parents. I changed my life around and managed to make it past without telling anyone but my therapist. I am now a very confident and happy 26 year old with very few weight destructive thoughts. I am a traveler and using my time now to clear out the closet and become a better person. The question is, should I tell my parents about this issue from the past? Will it help me air things out and help me in some way, or will it only make my parents feel guilt and shame for not knowing and encouraging my weight loss? I would really love your thoughts on this and what you think might be better for my family and I. |
Question: My mom just died and I'm not sure how to feel. How can I get over it? I loved her? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 02:11 AM PDT |
Question: Do you think this mother is evil? Posted: 29 Oct 2016 01:23 AM PDT Lets say there's a mother. She has a 16 year old daughter. The mother travels out of America to London with her new boyfriend for a month and leaves her daughter at the apartment alone. The mother takes a bunch of pictures with this man, and the man takes her to fancy restaurants and hotels. ( he has no idea she has a kid) The mother left money for food but that's it. The daughter sees her mother's social media posts of how much fun she's having, and all the new food she's tasting and basically how well the trip is going. That night the lights go out. the daughter feels cold, she goes over her teachers house. Her teacher is a 26 year old man. They cuddle and watch television until they falls asleep. The daughter lies and says her mother approves of this. He smiles and kisses her forehead. She asks him can she stay for the weekend. He says okay, they watch movies, he teaches her how to cook, they play twister then kiss on the sofa. They even dance a little. When the weekend ends he drives her home and the girl is once again alone. The girl cries herself to sleep, she wanted him to stay. He misses her a little as well, and eventually starts feeling alone at night without her. What do you think of this mother? |

Question: I think my sister and my brother had a baby together ???!!!!!!!? Posted: 28 Oct 2016 10:57 PM PDT So a couple of months ago, my sister and my brother suddenly became really close...like really close. I thought it was quite odd but I didn't think much of it at the time. One day, I walked past my brothers room (he's 17) and I heard moaning and hushed screaming from inside. I thought he must be having sex with his girlfriend of 5 months. At the time, i was actually trying to find my sister (who is 14, nearly 15) because she had borrowed one of my necklaces for a party and I needed it back because I had a party that evening (I'm 15, nearly 16). However, I couldn't find her anywhere. I asked my mum and dad if she had gone out with one of her friends, but they said she hadn't and that she was at home. I decided to wait a bit before I looked again for her. About half an hour later, my brother, followed by my sister, entered the living room, both their clothes looking scattered and messy. The thought did enter my mind that she could have been the one having sex with my brother, but I thought there was no way that could be true. Everything went back to normal for a couple weeks, but now I am looking at her and her stomach seems to be slightly larger, like a baby bump. Her diet and exercise regime is the same, so i know she isn't gaining weight. The baby couldn't be anyone else's, because she has never had a boyfriend and hasn't been allowed to see any boys for the past 6 months because she was grounded by my mum. Did my brother get my sister pregnant????? HELP!! |

Question: Feel guilty about living in my house? Posted: 28 Oct 2016 09:59 PM PDT Hi. I am a teenage girl, and my dad pays the rent for the house. Him and my mom are divorced so he doesn't live with us. Whenever he's mad, he always brings up how he is the one paying for the house, and it makes me feel really guilty. I don't know what to do. It's hard living like this with this guilt every day and I'm only a teenager so I can't move out or anything and I'm still too young for a job. What do I do? :( |
