Posted: 23 Oct 2016 02:04 PM PDT I am an adult now and I do the same thing. I will be upset with someone and gossip. It feels almost addictive because my mother did it for so long when I was a kid and she and I spent so much time together (I am 27 now and a guy). I don't do it nearly as often as her but do it some. She has softened also as she has gotten older just as her sister has hardened. So how do I break this awful and I feel sinful habit? |

Question: Would you call this situation abandonment? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 02:02 PM PDT My brother keeps telling my dad that he abandoned him. Me and my family moved to another state when he was 24 years old, almost 25 years old. My family begged him to move with us but he won t because he s in love with this girl we don t like. My brothers 27 now and he keeps telling my dad that he abandoned him. Once he came to visit with his girl friend and stayed in house and after they left my brother was yelling at me and telling me that i called her fat and that she didn t like how my dad talked to much. I never called her fat but i thought it was rude how she comes to our home and then criticizes us. But my dad tried to cancel my brothers phone bill because it s too much money and he s 27 years old, he told my dad that he s mad about it (cuz he s cheap) and then he told my dad that he abandoned him. Who do u think is right in this situation? In my eyes if u invite someone to move with u and u pay for the move and you buy a house with an extra bedroom, how is that abandoning someone..especially at 27 yrs old? My parents also gave me thousands of dollars and my brother makes almost double then what my dad makes and almost as much as my mom. |
Question: My Dad doesn't want me anymore, how do I get over this hurt? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 02:02 PM PDT I am 13 and now that my Dad has remarried he only comes around like every other month. My Mom says it because he doesn't want a relationship with me anymore and this really hurts. He has seen me less and less over the years since the divorce when I was 6. He has two step-kids and my mother said he makes time for them but not me (she heard he coaches the soccer games of one). This really hurts. how can I get my Dad to love me again, he doesn't anymore. I am 13 and a girl. |

Question: I Like my Friend's Sister, but I don't what to do..please provide advice? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:47 PM PDT I have a coworker who I am really close friends with. I'm 24 years old and he's 30 years old. I've been working with him for 2 years. He is already married and has a toddler. We've hung out outside of work a few times. One time he even invited me to his house a year ago and he had also invited his little sister who is 25 and single. This was almost a year ago. I also ran into his sister one time randomly somewhere. I really like her even though I've only seen her a couple times, but I can't say anything or else it may be very awkward at work. He's been to my house and stuff and knows I come from a good family, I don't party or anything, he knows me well. Should I wait for him to arrange another event? I don't know what to do...I just can't risk the friendship with my friend, but I would really want to get to know his sister. I'll probably stay forever waiting....any tips? How do I find things to do with them...it's hard because my friend is married and has a kid so we don't really hang out often. What kind of stuff can I suggest to start hanging out with them more? Yesterday, at work his toddler facetimed him and saw I was there too, then the kid said I should come over lol but my friend didn't mention anything as I dropped him off home (we were carpooling) so I didn't end up going. I need to start hanging out with them more, but I don't know how to suggest stuff without being rude. |
Question: My grandmother is physically and mentally abusive towards us? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:44 PM PDT when i was younger she used to hit me. one time she grabbed my hair in her fist and repeatedly punched me. now, i m 15 years old, she uses her words to hurt me or to try to "scare me". last night she cursed me out using words from sh!t to fvck to a$$. the thing is, she was a pastor for 23 years and she still preaches from time to time, even traveling to different places across the U.S. to preach. i feel like why would god let his own servant be so abusive towards me and my dyslexic and my mentally challenged sister. she says the way the dress embarrass her and makes fun of them just to make others laugh. one time, she started punching my mother in the face in public because she was "disputing" her. im not afraid of her and one day i might feel like im gonna go off and start hitting her. i would call CPS, but she doesn t leave any physical signs of abuse and she is yelling at my mother now in the kitchen. pls give me advise or help |
Question: My dad is dating a gold digger.? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:43 PM PDT Hi there, My dad has been dating this woman for about a year. She was friends with my mom but then when my mom passed away, she started after my dad. I have never been fond of her. She just isn t a genuine person. She was married to a woman only a few months before her and my dad started dating but completely ignores the fact. She was sweet to my siblings and I at first but about 5 months down the road she convinced my dad to kick my sister out (and I fear that I will be next). She has since moved in and acts towards me as if she is the woman of the house and I need to follow her rules. My dad is completely blind to all of this. He sees her as this perfect, kind woman. She plays it very convincingly. She continues to spend his money and openly talks about how my sister and I should "marry someone rich" in front of our dad. I have tried talking with him about my concerns but he won t hear it. Do you have any advice as to how I can get through to him? He speaks about marrying her in the future and that is my ultimate fear. |
Question: Should this be something of concern? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:41 PM PDT Should I feel terrible,,,and was I wrong for having noticed that my Sister's Husband had a bulge (arousal?) in his sweatpants after giving my seven year old niece Nicole a spanking? I am not saying he found pleasure or enjoyed spanking Nicole but it was not like a normal spanking. Nicole once she gets home from school always takes her skirt off and does her homework or such in her sweater and underpants. She looks cute but is not allowed to be in her underpants with guests around. Nicole finds her more dressy briefs comfortable to wear cause they are thin nylon. I don't want to describe it more then necessary.. I seen my niece laying across Dad's lap in her sweater and white brief getting a good spanking. Good as in not with hard spanks but lasting a few minutes. When Greg went to put the chair back that he sat on to give the spanking I then noticed he had a bulge or slight erection. I can't think of any other reason that would cause this other then Was I a poor sister for looking at her husband private area when he was just being a good Dad? |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:33 PM PDT I am kicking my neice and nephew out for now on every time they come to family get togethers. I don't want to see them until my neice and nephew lose weight. In MY opinion they are very overweight, yet my neice and nephew are delusional and don't see themselves as overweight like I do. My neice has a 27 inch waist, she weighs 56kg and she is 5 foot 7, my nephew has a 30 inch waist, he weighs 59kg and he is 5 foot 6. I told them legally they are not allowed to eat more than 600 calories a day, but they both eat 1,000 calories a day. They've been the same weight and height and size for 5 years. Is what I am doing justified? Why can't they be like my favorite neice? My favorite neice has a 22 inch waist, she weighs 45kg and she is 5'9 |

Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:23 PM PDT I'm a 20 year old male, and I'm on vacation. So at night, I just started to sleep in my aunt's bed, and I feel uncomfortable, however, since she gives me this weird vibe. She's really young (probably 35 years old), and she always goes out partying. The last time I was sleeping, I was the only one on the bed sleeping because my aunt went to a party and stayed up for who knows how long. So somewhere after midnight, I could hear noises, and it slightly woke me up (I didn't make any noises, and it was hard to tell that I'm slightly disturbed from my sleep). So with my eyes barely opened (like you could just see glimpses), I could see her staring at me, standing next to the bed, and it was nonstop too for a long time. And when she went underneath the blankets, I could still slightly see her staring at me like she was thinking about something. I also can't sleep on the ground since it's cold concrete, and even with a bunch of blankets on top of it, it'll still be cold as hell. |

Question: Trying to find this specific Asian show? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:12 PM PDT I'm trying to find this show that originates from Asia (I'm not sure if it's Korean, Chinese, etc.) All I've seen is a scene on YouTube where who I assume is the dad is wearing only a towel and he tries to leave the house in it until the mom and daughter enter. He goes from them behind the couch but loses his towel in the process. The mother complains about how she is getting old and wrinkly and the daughter tries to comfort her. They go to get a drink of water and take the towel with them. The naked man then walks down a hallway trying not to be seen by the two women and he's using a vase to cover himself. Thats all I've seen but I need to know what show is all this from?? |

Question: Signs my parents might divorce? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 01:00 PM PDT So, my dad got mad at my mom for being gone most of the day hanging out with her friends while he went grocery shopping and took care of business. She practically lives at the gym. Since yesterday, they haven't talked much. My dad just left to go watch a football game because my mom was watching tv. My parents do argue sometimes, but not very often. They once had an argument at Walmart and my dad had to walk home. They didn't speak for a week, then they were back to normal. Will all of this blow over or not? They've been married for 25 yrs |
Question: Should I apologize to a guy who like me? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 12:54 PM PDT There this guy who had a big crush on me. But I had a boyfriend and he patiently waited. After me and my boyfriend broke up, he treated me with respect and was kind to me. He never admit he like me but it so obvious and he will get his friends to hang out with him. And he even ask "so anything new happen?" IMMEADATLY the day after my boyfriend and I broke up. But me and my boyfriend had a very bad breakup from a serious personal problem and dating someone new right away will seem inappropriate. So I sadly had to reject the guy who wanted to date me. ): But I made it obvious I like him back too and didn't told him that me and my ex had a bad break up from a personal problem. But the guy graducated high school depress because we didn't date. I feel so bad. It been 2 years since I seen him. He only stay in touch with his lady friend (just a friend) from our old high school. Is it weird if I ask his lady friend for his contact and I apologize to him? And no he don't like his lady friend. |
Question: Need help figuring out cousin marriage? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 12:44 PM PDT Alrighty. So let's lay out a few things before I specify: 1. I am willing to marry my cousin 2. It's a common cultural thing I am relatively young (17) to start thinking about marriage, but I am quite curious about my future. I have a great family on my dad's side. My father's brother has two sons that are 8ish years older than my sister and I (my sister is 2 years older than me). We don't see this as a problem. The question comes where my grandparents are concerned. My mother and father are not cousins. My cousin's mother and father are not cousins. My grandma and grandpa on my dad's side are cousins. (first). How will this affect the children of my marriage if I marry my cousin? is there any elevated risk? Also, what does American society (or pakistani society) think of double-cousin marriage? This means that my sis would marry the older cousin and i would marry the older cousin's brother. Thanks so much for your input and help! |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 12:28 PM PDT I hate my mom! She is always mean to me. Sure sometimes I'm bad but that's because I have anger issues and she knows it too. I've went to anger management since I was 8. I wish my mom would go to anger management too. So I was upset because she was screaming at me to clean up my room and I snapped and said,"If you want it done so badly, you do it!" She grabbed her belt and hit me with it on the stomach and hands. It left welts. She does this all the time and she calls me names like ***** and dumbass and she says she wishes I was never born. I've tried running away but my sisters always snitches on me before I leave. And I live in an apartment so it isn't easy to leave at night because her bedroom is close to the door. What should I do? I have a dad but I only see him on weekends and he won't care that she acts like this because she did when they were married. She's trying to find a job in Georgia so she can move back there. Should I just wait for her to move back there so I never have to see her again? |

Question: How can I get my mom to respect me as an adult? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 12:00 PM PDT I am 31 year old man and I love my mom to death and i am grateful for her giving me life but there is one big problem she is very controlling and manipulating. She tries to control every aspect of my life whether it is how much money i should be spending/saving, what i should do with my money, she evens tells me "your parents and family should be your number priority because your child will one day have a life of their own". She always tries to guilt trip me to get what she wants, she always makes me feel like i owe her something. I understand she gave me life but i can't give her the world the money cars house like she wants me to. I went through a divorce and my family wasn't much of a help. They didn't give me any emotional support but just made feel like what i did was wrong and my decision to marry my ex wife was wrong and i should have listened to them. She tries to advise me and my ex wife what to do with our child. She likes to put negative things in my head so it creates a lot of tension with my ex wife. Even when i married she didn't respect some of our wishes and to this day ex says i should have chose her and the baby over my family. Sometimes i get so overwhelmed by her she makes me anxious i curse her out yell at her tell her how much she hurts me and the things she says how much pressure she puts on me and how much stresses she puts me under she ignores everything and never changes. What can i do so late in the game? |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 11:48 AM PDT I am 17 and currently living in Florida with my single parent. I want to live with the other parent, who lives in Alabama. They were never married/divorced/or had any custody case against me. The parent I live with is married to someone else and was married to them before I was born so the state sees that person as my parent unless they both say that I'm not theirs. I want to know what rights I have in this. |
Question: Boyfriends mom hates me? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 11:22 AM PDT I don't know what to do anymore. It started off with her making little comments towards me and then it led up to her and my bf's sister trying to physically assault me at a family gathering because she held some kind of bitterness about me taking him out of town for his birthday. It took several days of convincing him to try and stand up for me and say something to them. I even tried calling her myself and asked if we could all just put it in the past and be civil just for him and she just hung up on me. she refuses to like me and she said she will never be sorry and she wants nothing to do with me. I really don't want to tear him apart from his family but I am the one who has to deal with the disrespect and uncomfortable aspects of all of this and its becoming too much for me. He says I should be okay with all this because I dont have to see them but its not okay. Im going to have to deal with being unincluded with his family for the rest of my life because his mom doesnt like me? How will that ever work, ecspecially when she is such a big part of his life. Even when he calls her, I hate to say it but I hold so much bitterness and hurt about it because she can just call him and get away with refusing to respect me and move on normally and I have to be the one that feels attacked and hated. I feel like I have to lose my integrity just to be with him at this point. I dont want to be unincluded i want us to all be friendly with one another. Idk what to do, advice please weve also been together for a year now |

Question: What should I do about how my sister has been behaving? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 11:06 AM PDT This is a serious question, I am not a troll. I am trying to figure out what to do. I think my older sister, who has always had some problems and been a delinquent when she was younger, slept around with people a little in high school and got in trouble with our parents, she went to college last year I am in high school close to grad, she dropped out and came back home and says she is going back, ever since she has been staying home here this year she has been coming on to me in sexually suggestive ways. So, this has involved bumping into me in a state of undress, announcing when she is going to take a shower, giving me looks, and worse than this... I am trying to figure out what to do about it. |
Question: What should my mom do about this? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 11:02 AM PDT |
Question: Guilty about drinking? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:53 AM PDT I'm a senior in high school and I started drinking over the summer. I hardly ever do, but when I do I usually have to lie to my dad about it because he doesn't drink himself. He doesn't know that I have been drunk and I feel really guilty about lying. If I tell him will he lose trust in me? I really don't want to disappoint him but I also want to be able to relax and have a little bit of fun with friends like once a month. |
Question: Looking for a opinion on living with family as a married couple? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:52 AM PDT I am really frustrated with our lifestyle right now. I'm going on 28 my husband 31. Married a little over a year ago been together going on 6. My husband and I live with his father. We own a bar and live above that bar. I keep insisting we move out and start our own lives. He said at his fathers old age he doesn't see it fair we leave him. His dad is healthy, sore, old but in his mid 80's he's still chopping wood and cutting grass. I want to move out simply cause we are both unhappy about living above the bar and I can no longer stand being the only one who cleans here literally. Neither do laundry neither clean anything at all. His dad defactes on the toilet and leaves it, washes dishes with out soap, and I have to re wash them for they are going to get someone sick, refuses showers, refuses to throw out his own spoiled food (he eats his own meals due to restrictions on his diet),refuses change his clothes.. I personally see it fit we move and start our own lives but not far from his dad. I want to start our own family very soon and refuse to have a baby living above the bar or in the bar. His dad will be the person who lives to 100. I just don't want to be that lady whose 40 having a kid and he 60 by they are 20 and can't do the fun stuff with them |
Question: Is it ok to have sex with your half sister? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:43 AM PDT |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:42 AM PDT My mom does not drive and my dad who does drive acts like he doesn't want to be bothered with her . I work ten hour days and drive and hour to work everyday so on my days off I like to rest and have fun. She is a good mother and has done a lot for me but this gets on my nerves . How do I approach the situation? |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:40 AM PDT People say "oh it wasn't your fault, your Mom was the one being mean or your grandfather was the one with the disease" but I still feel guilty. What happened is she held me back for 7 years and insisted she would never have ended contact with her Dad were it not for her need to protect me. However, because she needed to protect me she ended her contact with him she says. Once I was a teen she resumed contact and I got close to him. However, the rest of my mother's family remains disappointed with her, and thus I fear me, for those 7 years we missed. (Seven years of Christmas', weddings, family gatherings, etc....). So how do I get over the guilt that my mother says she would not have done it were it not for having two kids and thus needed to protect them (that is why I feel it was my fault and not my mother's or my grandfather's). How do I get over this all these years later (my grandfather has died since). @Anonymous---But again, that makes it my fault because if I didn't exist she and him would have stayed in touch even if not close. What she feared was we'd be awkward seeing an alcoholic have mood swings as she was seeing her grandfather have them (his father). Plus it runs in her family. |
Question: My brother is visiting at Thanksgiving, how do I get over the anxiety I feel about it? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:37 AM PDT Seeing him causes me anxiety because of bad memories and he hasn't changed except he is not a bully to me anymore. He still manipulates my parents for money (they give in out of love), never calls them unless he needs something (otherwise has no relationship with them), sleeps around with numerous women, and has a temper like a kid (used to be dangerous rage but is not anymore). My parents say he is fine because he does not do drugs anymore (his one and only accomplishment was he did stop using drugs). So how do I get over this anxiety I feel? I have to stay in town or I will get grief about it from family (I am an adult so technically I could travel). As a kid he bullied me so that is the trauma though now he obviously doesn't do that anymore, but when I see him all this old fear returns like when someone describes PTSD. My parents insist how bad he turned out be kept a secret so I don't share these feelings to people but them. My sister and other brother don't seem to mind seeing him. What do I do? |
Question: My mom is sick, how can I make her feel better? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:28 AM PDT I have a brother whose 22 moved out and he's gay not open to my mom but he's open to me about it and I don't care I support him fully. He posted something on Facebook and today my mom was questioning me who two of these gay men are that clicked like on his post She wants me to ask him about them and tell him to knock it off Bc she cannot and will not have a gay son. She will never talk to him again and he will be dead to her. This will not me some modern family sitcom. He will not be a part of this family. How do I handle this? I surely do not want to upset my brother by asking him about these guys and degrade him. She is way too nebby. He can have friends. We live about 25 mins away from the city. Question: Is it bad if I don't want to be around my family all the time? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:17 AM PDT So I'm a guy in my 20's and I live with my parents and the only reason why I do is to save up for an apartment. Anyway I have two jobs and I go to college and my dad always complains that I never want to spend time with the family. I am the youngest so he's always worried about me. Well he gets mad if I hang out with my friends a lot and he always wants me around him but when ever I'm around him he always finds something to lecture me about. Why is he like that with me? My mom is ok with me being independent why can't my dad? |
Question: Did I really screw up with my sister's ex husband? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 10:11 AM PDT I was at a restaurant waiting to be seated when my sister's ex husband Sam walked in. He saw me and came over and give me a hug. We had a brief conversation and he asked me to join him for dinner as his guest. He asked how long it would be before we could be seated and they told him 45 minutes to an hour. He suggested we go someplace where we could be seated sooner. We went across the street to Ruth Chris steak house restaurant. We were seated immediately. When I saw the menu I knew why there was not a wait to be seated. The CHEAPEST item on the menu was $50. Sam saw my discomfort and said ignore the price. Order what you want and I did. It was the BEST meal I ever had in my life. I thought it might be awkward having dinner with my sister's ex husband but it wasn't. We had a great meal, great conversation, and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. As we were leaving it just slipped out of my mouth. I said this was a lot of fun, can we do it again some time. He said call me any time. When I got home, Oh My God, I realized what I had done. I had asked him for a date sometime in the future. What was I thinking? Should I tell my sister and ask her if she is OK with it. If not, should I forget the whole thing. She doesn't tell me who she dates so should I tell her who I date. As you can see I am REALLY CONFUSED about what I should do. Please advice me. Thanks. |
Question: Why does my mom hate me and what is this call? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:55 AM PDT My mom want me the be a EXACT REPLICA of her best friends kids who are my age. (What they eat (how much they eat, what they wear, how they talk, what they like to do, what school they go to) I had to do the SAME THING. I had to give up what I do and and love (I do good things FYI) & had pretend be someone else. I will be force into doing what my mom wants by her saying offending things like "those kids are better compare to you your noting" "why can't you be them I will trade them for be anyday" and to learn from them and stop being foolish. And she even say I'm a BAD DAUGHTER. I'm "bad" to her because I refuse to be someone else and rather be myself and do what I love. ( I do good things). My mom doesn't accept me for ME, and wants me to be replica of her best friends kids. What CRAZY is I am a GOOD GIRL & behave well but yet I should be replica of those kids. I talk to her MULTIPLE TIMES she don't want hear it unless it me agreeing to be a replica. Why my mom crazy about me being a replica? What is this force call she use toward me? And is she doing this to just raise her reputation? |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:49 AM PDT I am just going to stay in my mother's house the whole month for the first time, but problem that there is no room for me exclusively; my little brother, who is very amused and happy for my stay, wants me to sleep in his room on the same bed next to him; I don't know I feel something wrong about it I am 17, and he is 9 |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:29 AM PDT Without causing a scene? I am an adult and live on my own so I dont have to stay. I get tired of the cursing and when I say something then my step-Dad starts berating me with insults about my Dad and about me. My step-Dad is an alcoholic and seems uninterested in changing. |
Question: Why is my dad so lazy? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:29 AM PDT He never wants to do anything around the house. All he wants to do is watch television and be on his computer. I work 8-10 hours 5 days straight. And he expect me to do everything around the house. He expect me to vaccum, mow the lawn, clean the bathroom on the weekends. I work and I need to rest on the weekends to get my energy back up, but No. I have to literally do everything in the house by myself because he's the "father" and doesn't require to do anything. What the heck is wrong with this? |
Question: My mom fed my sisters hot sauce as discipline? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:27 AM PDT I'm a 16 year old guy and I live with my dad, step mom and 2 step sisters and one of my step sisters who is 7 cursed and my step mom made her drink a spoon full of Tabasco |
Question: How can I get my step-Dad to stop seeing another woman? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:27 AM PDT My mother is upset about it and asked me since I am the oldest to get him to stop but I am only 15 so don't know what to do. My mother and step-father married when I was 8 (my real Dad left my mother when I was 2 and never sees me). My step-Dad is okay but he is always seeing other women. My mother just confirmed it so now she is upset and wants him to stop. They have two kids together and then she has me from her last marriage and another kid from another guy she wasn't married to (that guy she left when he molested her nephew and he is in jail now). So how do I get my step-father to stop cheating. My mother says I am the one who can fix it but I don't know much about marriage and I have Asperger's so I don't communicate well. |

Question: What fallacy is this, Argument with my sister? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 09:04 AM PDT Actually answer my question please. My sister and I are 22 years old. We got into an argument recently. My sister didn't have clean underwear so she ended up borrowing one of mines and she knew what she was doing was wrong. I confronted her and this is how the conversation went. Me: How would you feel if I needed clean underwear and decided to use one of yours? Sister : I wouldn't like it but that's different, you're less hygienic than I am (Sorta implying that her wearing my underwear is not as bad as me wearing hers) Me: What does my hygiene have to do with this problem? The problem is you wore my underwear when you understood that it was wrong. Sister : Well that's my opinion, you shower less than me so it's true. Me: So what? Why bring this up? That has nothing to do with the problem. That's like me wearing your underwear and you get mad at me and you try to reason with me by using an example and my response to you is "I would be upset but that's different because you get yeast infections all the time" Sister : Well if you would have said that in that situation it would have been true. Me : You don't get it do you? Why bring up my hygiene when the problem is that you broke a boundary and wore my underwear. Why even bring it up? Sister: BECAUSE thats my opinion. Anyways the argument ended but it still pisses me off how she didn't understand. What fallacy is she using? Becuase I've encountered that type of reasoning before with other people so I was curious. |

Question: How do i cut my mother out of my life? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 08:44 AM PDT me and my mother go through having a really good relationship and having a very bad one. i'm having a baby very soon and i want my mother to be a part of her grand child's life but every decision ive been making for my family she has called me selfish told me i was wrong and that i'm taking her grandson away from her. she told me i ruined her plans she had with her grandson and that i'm taking away her chances to see his mile stones in his life. all because i want to move out. i can't deal with the manipulation and controlling anymore i need a break from her. but once i leave and cut contact for a few it will cause major problems i've done it before (she threatened to take my younger sister and move out of state if i didn't move back home) i don't want that unstableness in my life anymore. how do i find the right time to leave and how do i find the strength to not initiate contact with her because of her manipulation? i'm struggling very bad with finding support from people who've cut contact from a family i don't know anyone who has and i need to do this soon. |

He's been living with his mother and step father and was abused alot by his step father. So he moved in with me. Before, we weren't really close we only saw each other like twice a month. Felix is a really shy and quiet guy so he doesn't have any friends (literally ZERO friends) but since he moved in with me (a month ago) our relationship has been going great, he told me that im his only best friend <3 and i love him to death, i really mean that. He's just like the mini-me we're so much alike! But the problem is that he's really depressed because of his past, he have scars on his wrist, he tried to commit suicide last week and twice when he used to live there. So tonight when i got home from work i was really stressed, its been a rough week (work and ****) and he refused to take his meds. He started yelling at me & saying that he feels good (i know he's lying i can see it in his eyes) i told him even if u feel good u have to take them so he pushed and i beat him up really hard. Im bigger than him and so much stronger so he couldn't defend himself. He bled alot and gave him bruises. I know its so wrong i dont know what i was thinking i will NEVER think about hurting him again in my life. That was an hour ago and he hasn't gotten out of his room. What should i do now? Question: Something worst happened to you that you can not forgot? Posted: 23 Oct 2016 06:47 AM PDT when I was in 8 grad, My parents want me to study in big school even thought they can't afford. They spend a lot of money for me. I was living with my old grandma in a city and my parents in village. when i step into a class every one is looking at me like i'm not a human, as the time went i made some friends but their wear 3 girls kind a like a boss of the class who always bully me for no reason, they lie to teacher that i did not do my homework so i have to do 10 times more, they say bad words to me, let me feel bad. I could't even complain because i can't speak English and all teachers speak English, i can't even tell my parents because i don't want them to feel sad. Everyone listen to those 3 girls because they 1 was beautiful, 2 was rich and 3 was smart. I cry every night under my blanket, i can't take it anymore. so i decided to suicide I drank a rat poison, for wile my stomach hurt so badly but i did't die. may be that what god want. next day my mom came from village and she told me that we got visa from US and we r leaving in a month i was so happy to get out from that hell, those 3 girls didn't believe that i 'm going to US. when i came to US, it was not hard for me to bland in because i already saw many struggles. i work hard in schools and graduated with honors degree. now currently i'm studying in medical school, i have everything that I want in my life and it made me strong from inside. i'm so thankful to god and now i understand his purpose to save my life. |
Posted: 23 Oct 2016 06:46 AM PDT I sure was doing terrible in every aspect. Depressed suicidal bad grades and sickness. I've taken a few weeks away from the sick physcallly and verbally abusive parent who drove me to pursue and acheive emotional numbness. I still struggle with the numbness, a little loneliness but I got 10 times better. I am no longer suicidal or depressed. Or even as unhappy as I once was. How do I show/prove to myself and others that my mother is not only a huge part of my problems but the direct reason/cause of everything that was going badly and getting worse in my life? I mean, I haven't connected with someone or made a real friend before I was stuck in an abusive home. I finally feel happy and don't need to look for silver linings because life is finally good. And FYI I've sought help and I'm finally escaping and getting it. I just want to know that everything was her fault. |
