Question: How to convince my dad to make me go to the field trip? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 02:28 PM PDT I live in the Philippines and there is this field trip that I want to go to for school and we get a huge grades if we go on the trip but the price is 1600 pesos or 32 dollars. When my mom asked my dad if I can go to the trip, my dad said that we have to buy a washing machine first, and he also said that if I go to the trip, we won't have enough money to buy the washing machine. I am planning to talk to my dad all by myself P.S This is my first field trip and my dad gets really angry sometimes |
Question: Why does my mother pick favorites? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 02:27 PM PDT shes a single mother in her 50s but growing up she always treated my older brother better then me, she gave my brother birthday presents on my birthday so he didn't get jealous. She bout him his first car while I had to work and pay for my car. she lets him bring girls over and im not allowed. All these little things that I noticed makes me wonder why? |
Posted: 27 Oct 2016 02:26 PM PDT So, I just ran into these 2 people(siblings) I knew and went to in middle school 6 years ago. I didn't know it was them because they looked so much different(much older) the guy Mike(17) had a beard and he looked 35ish and his sister Elizabeth(19) told me she was married already after I asked how they've been. Is this normal? Why are people in my age range looking older and getting married already?(not everyone gets married, because it's not for everyone but you know what I mean). |
Question: My dad is to overally protective!? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 02:23 PM PDT He found out i was allegric to peanuts because he observed what i was eating when i stayed ghe night at his place. He had the nerve to call the doctors and tell them everytime i eat something with peanut i brrak out around the mouth and my lips get swollen. Now i have to go to the doctors cause they said it was dangerous and sounds like it could get worse. Then last night he tried to go through my phone but denied it when i tried to unlock with my passcode it wouldn't let me do it i had to wait a few minutes and i know it was him because we were the only too in the house. I feel like my dad is scared i may end up like my mom or something and by me being 26 years old i feel like im still treated like a child. The only reason i come over to his house sometimes is to help him keep it clean. Hes always asking about where im going and to let him know who this guy or that guy is im hanging with. He told me he feels guilty about me being raped when i was younger and promise to never let it happen again to me then walked away nearly crying causr i screamed to him i wasnt a damn child anymore plus he shakes alot now and said he believes he has parkinsons disease. I feel like the worst *** daughter right now and just dont know how to fix this!? Ugh 💔💔💔💔💔 |
Question: Is it legal and OK to marry your ex husband? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 02:19 PM PDT My mom emailed me that her TV had died and she wanted me to help her find a new one. She was afraid the salesperson would take advantage of her. Monday I got an excited call from her that said our TV buying trip was off. When she got home there was a new big screen TV in her house. There was a note on the TV screen that said. "This is just a small payback for all the wonderful things you did for us when Joan (me) and I were married." It was signed by my ex husband. I was shocked beyond words. I knew mom adored my ex husband when we were married and I guess he felt the same way about her EVEN AFTER our divorce. I called him up and ask him how he knew my mom needed a new TV. He said on the email to me she had sent a copy to him. He said your mom is a lovely woman and I know how much she enjoys her TV. Then mom told me my ex had done a lot of other things for her like fix her car, fix her computer and train her to use the Internet and a lot of other things. She had not told me about ANY of this. All of my single girl friends that I told about this told me I must have been out of my mind to divorce such a great guy. They wanted to know if I mined if they dated him. I can understand why they want to date him. He is a GREAT looking guy. After giving it some thought I did mind them dating him. I think I have feeling for him again. Please tell me how I should make the first move to try to win him back. Do you think I have a chance? |

Question: My stepmom calls me lazy all the time and it bothers me? What do I do? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 02:09 PM PDT So I'm at school for almost 7 hours a day, then I come home and at least have an hour of homework to do every night and over weekends. My stepmom stays home all day and watches netflix or goes out with her friends, but she calls ME lazy even though I'm working for almost 7 hours with just a 23 minute break everyday. What do I do? I don't think its fair for everyone (but especially her) to say this to me when I'm at school working hard to get straight A's everyday. |

Question: Something is wrong with my sister? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 02:06 PM PDT She tried to kill herself because our mom took away all her stuff. She was back talking our parents and cussing and throwing things that our mom took away EVERYTHING in her room (Tv, computer, phone and even her bed and books!!) My sister literally tried to break her neck by jumping out the window. She broke her leg and shattered her wrist. Now our mom is crying, blaming herself and calling herself a bad parent. Im trying ro explain to my mom its not her fault my sister is batshit crazy (Of course i phrased it differently) and now my dad is threatening to disown her and its like my family is in chaos. Please help! |

Question: My mother asked my brothers if I am gay, should I be offended? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 01:46 PM PDT I am not gay but my mother is worried I am because both my brothers have been caught with pornography and have girlfriends, I have never dated and never viewed porn. Apparently my mother fears I am a closet gay afraid to tell her. So should I be offended she thinks this or just laugh about it. I am not gay but have no real sexual desires. My step-mother says it is called asexual (she, the step-mother, is like sexual identity obsessed and basically quizzes us on our identity). |
Posted: 27 Oct 2016 01:41 PM PDT She would tell me how my Dad didn't want to have a relationship with me or he wouldn't have divorced her (it turned out my mother requested the divorce though my Dad was not the best husband). I believed my mother for my elementary school years. Come high school I realized she was wrong and became closer to my Dad. However, a part of my brain still believes this and has a fear I have to EARN my Dad's respect. Also there were other lies about him I learned were not true when I asked other family members. So how do I break free of this part of my brain that still believes my mother's lies from 20 years ago? I am in my late 20's now. |
Question: Why am I being treated like im 16 at 18? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 01:38 PM PDT I rarely go out with friends because my mom has to meet all my friends and ask for their number. Its so embarassing, i have to ask to go out and then ask my moms boyfriend because "he's man of the house" i dont understand why bc he does nothing for me, and if they do let me out i have to be home by 11. Why cant i be a regular person who say "hey mom im going out with so and so tonight, ill be back around 12" and just go? I feel like i dont deserve all that extra ****, I am doing very well in school, I am a full time student and have a part time job. I always help around the house and help my siblings with their homework and take care of my dog and all but i still get treated like im in middle school. |
Question: My brother raped me. How do I tell our parents? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 01:26 PM PDT I'm 14 and my brother is 15. We had the house to ourselves. After a while, he jumped me and raped me. I'm not troll or anything like that. I really need your advice. How do I tell all this to our parents? |
Question: As an exchange student, should you get host parents birthday gifts? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 01:18 PM PDT I didn t get my host parents any birthday gifts, although I did get them gifts on my arrival. I wished them a Happy Birthday on the day though. It was a while ago now, and we all get along really well, but should I have got them something? |
Question: How to handle sudden change? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 01:14 PM PDT Disclaimer: Im not trying to appear like a brat, Im very respectful to those around me and I dont normally rant out loud. If you refuse to believe that, Id rather you not comment if it is to call me a whiny teenager... Anyhow I live in a family of 5. My parents are divorced but my dad still stays with us. Weve lost a house a few years ago, now we rent. Tht being said, lately Ive noticed money s decreased a lot. Some days we have to eat what was made for lunch/dinner the day before for each meal days after. Most of the food is from food stamps at the beginning of the month, cant shop after. Im not sure whats going on bc my family doesnt tell me things since I naturally get stressed out easily. All I know is that things are way different now. I also lost my best and only friend I hang out with outside of school over a fight about me going to a different high school, so now Im alone most of the time. It doesnt help that I m an only child, and my dad has a new girlfriend and texts her 24/7, and my mom is usually at the gym after I get home from school. I hardly socialize with anybody if its not at school and my other friends parents don t let us hang out. My mom has to take money out of my credit card to afford things outside of food, and even when I want to buy things to eat at school. I know others have it worse. It s just so sudden and I m looking for ways to cope. Any advice that doesn t involve me spending much money or having to spend money routinely is appreciated. |
Question: How can I tell my dad that I don't use FB and/or messenger? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 01:08 PM PDT There's nobody wants to talk to me on FB and/or messenger. I'm mostly a loner, no friends |
Question: Why does my family hate me? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 12:57 PM PDT Im gonna cut right to the chase here. I don't do too well in school. I am 13 years old and my brother is 22. Yes a very big age gap. I know. But. My brother and mum mainly insult me cause I have bad grades. My usual grade is a C (3). My brother goes to college in another city. He is there for about 3-4 ish days and the second he comes home he starts annoying and teasing me. He never stops. He always kisses my mum and dads ***. Just so hes always right. He never picks my side. Even when I am right or getting blamed for something I didn't do he picks their side. I cannot deal with this. No one in my family wants to help me study. My mum goes to work at 4 PM and I usually after my class ends hang out with my friends, doing whatever as long as the time passes by so I don't get brainfucked to death by her. My dad is always at work. He only is home on the weekends. Sometimes he even stays working for the weekend. Now my dad isnt provocative towards me. But he can be a little pain in the *** sometimes. To pass the time and ignore my mum and brother I watch YouTube. Watching my favourite YouTubers make me laugh and they brighten up my day. I like to play video games from time to time. Recently my brother wants to take my phone and pc away from our house to his temporary student apartment so he can play video games. When he already has a laptop and a mouse. It is insane. Im not trying to go all "oh my life is so ****" no, but I just hate my family SO much. What should I do? Pls help. |
Question: Should I tell my sister about this? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 12:49 PM PDT I am a big fan of our local sports team. I go to every game I can but I can afford only the cheapest seats. One day at a game, I heard someone say "Hello Ann". I turned around and it was John, my sister's ex husband. We talked briefly and he invited him to join him in his luxury box and I gladly accepted. I had never been a luxury box but they are GREAT. I really enjoyed the game a lot more from his box. He told me that any time I was at a game to come by his box and join him in watching the game. I did and each time I had a great time at the game. He had refreshments brought to his luxury box and we just talked. I had a wonderful time. He was the nicest person ever, very polite and never hit on me. We never talked about my sister, his ex. Sometimes his friends would join us in his box. They were all very nice to me and this just made it more fun. I have never told my sister about this so as not to cause her and me any problems. I don't know many details about their divorce. She never says anything bad about him at family gatherings. Should I tell her or is it none of her business as they are no longer married? Please tell me what I should do. Thanks |
Question: Did I do the right thing about my daughter and school? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 12:34 PM PDT There is a fashion fad going on at my daughter's high school of the girls not wearing a bra. My daughter asked if she could join in. I told her NO HOW NOW WAY. She said what every teen tells there parents "All the girls are doing it". I still told her NO. I know how important it is for teens not to feel different but this fad is WAY OVER THE LINE. I called the school and asked if they had a student dress code. They told me they did but the required wearing of a bra was not in the dress code. When I asked WHY NOT, they told me they could not make a dress code requirement that applied to only girls. That would discriminate against the boys. Is this political correctness gone insane? Did I do the right thing by keeping my daughter from going to school without a bra? Parents (and teen age girls) please give me you input? |

Question: How to scar my cousin and aunt? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 12:13 PM PDT Okay so my aunt and cousin and I share a room. It s a very small room. And one of my biggest pet peeves is when they eat in the room. I ve told them to stop but they still continue to do it. They don t stop cause I m younger than my aunt and she won t listen. I don t want her bringing bugs into the room because that s where we sleep. I was considering putting a bug in my cousin s mouth while she s asleep. But I m not sure if that will work. Any suggestions what I can do to make them stop? |
Question: Dad guilt tripping me? not sure how to properly word this.. Am I in the wrong? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 12:11 PM PDT This will be somewhat long, sorry in advance. I recently turned 18, started uni and got my license. I needed a car as my uni is too far to walk to, and if you live in Kuwait, a car is a must. A little backstory, both my parents are pretty terrible at parenting, they got divorced before I was born and made it their mission to make me hate one another by constantly telling me bad stuff about the other, they got me involved in their business regarding child support and legal matters that shouldn't have been my business to begin with. I live with my grandparents, and my mother lives here as well in a very nice and comfortable home. The issue is that I needed a car to get to university, my mom wanted to buy me a very expensive car but I didn't want that, I feel like I would "owe" her something if she did, so i asked my father and he said no, even though he owns a couple of cars and his father owns a few as well. My Dad and step-mom live with his parents (its the norm here since houses are very big and the number of stories at his house are 3) and they have many cars and i asked if he has a old car that I can use, he said no, I should ask my mom since he paid for my schooling and that he has a family to take care of. Again, i don't expect anything from either of them.. i just need something to drive. He always brings up the schooling thing and it makes me feel guilty for some reason.. He surprisingly agreed to get me a used truck but I feel like he will make me feel bad later |
Question: My big sister asked to see my penis? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 11:46 AM PDT Ok so I'm 14 and my big sister is 16 we're very close. Anyway I had just come home from school and was about to go in the shower so was just in my boxers. Randomly I got a ***** and my sister saw the bulge through my boxers. She started at it for a few moments and then asked if she could see my penis. I said yeah sure and she took me into her bedroom and laid me down on her bed. She then sat on my knees. I still had my boxers on but my sister asked if she could pull them down. I said yeah and she giggled as my penis flopped out of my boxers. She started at it and then asked if she could touch it and feel it. I said of course and she reached out and started touching and feeling it and my balls. She was smiling and giggling the whole time! After a little while though we had to stop because our mum was coming up the stairs. Later that day though she told me she had lots of fun playing with my penis and wanted to do it again sometime soon. Is it weird though for my sister to like my penis so much?! |
Question: I feel like my bf is running away from something? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 11:46 AM PDT So I'm in a hotel right now because my bf wanted to attend semi finals against a school from my County and a school from his County at a local university. And we'll he doesn't want me to get a job, I just got a job from my mom's supervisor about one. He just wants me to waste money. He thinks it grows on trees. Just because I have investments and stuff which I don't have very much in there anyway right now. I'm trying to save money to get him out of his current living situition but I can't do it with him wanting to stay in a hotel every weekend |
Question: Family makes me run their errands or help them, why? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 11:00 AM PDT I am definitely not good at saying no, given the fact that my family give me guilt trips and hold grudges if I dont comply with their demands. I am 30, married, kids, live in my own home. I work part time because I am legally disabled and I am crazy busy with my kids and OWN LIFE. My grandma (mid 90s) demanded I take her to the dr today. I explained that am having trouble with my foot and its too far to drive on the bad foot, she would not take no for an answer. My mom goes off and parties or has lunch with her friend from high school (they are nearly 70) she refuses to help her own mother and makes me help her when I have so much more to do. What am I doing wrong? Should I get nasty with her about taking her all over town? (she never pays gas money, nothing.. oh and insults my husband and I also) |
Question: How do I deal with someone telling me to say father instead of dad? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 10:52 AM PDT My dad always referred to his father as dad and even my mom calls him dad (my dad) and he is ok with it. One time in tenth grade my teacher said to say father instead of dad. The thing is I don't care about that because I never say father in my life, ever. I find it annoying and don't care if dad is a "disrespectful" term. My dad/father doesn't mind if I call him dad. |
Question: My son is disgusting and I need advice? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 10:44 AM PDT I am so disgusted right now I have no idea what to do with myself. I don't know if I should hit him or scream at him or make him go and live with his mom for while. I'm talking about my son. He just turned 14 but he's old enough to realize the **** that he does. Wife left 2 years ago and it's just me and him ever since. He has his privacy and his space because that stuff is essential when children are growing. So last night we were watching tv and he got a text from his girlfriend so he told me he was going to go hang out with their friends. He gets up and goes out the back door, leaving me in quiet. Whenever he's gone I usually take the time to clean up around the house because God forbid he'd need to help. I go upstairs to make my route around the upstairs, starting at my son's room. I walk in his room and blindsided by him completely naked, on TOP of his comforter, masturbating. This all happened in maybe a little less than 2 seconds, but it was such a jolt to my body it felt like I got hit with a tazer. He opened his eyes, saw me, took his headphones off, I was about to scream but before I could even say anything he said, "Uhh...gimme a second hold on," And what I saw happen after that will forever be burned into my head. He just laid his head back down and immediately started moaning. He started cumming up in the air, landing on everything around him. If fact I don't think I've ever saw someone shoot that much. But thats beside the point. I went to the car and drove off and ended up staying at a motel, which actually where I'm writing this. I have to leave soon to confront all this horirbleness. Does anybody have any advice about this? Maybe somebody has through the same thing as me. The whole reason I'm angry is because of the way we went about it. I walked in, he acknowledged I was there, laid his head back down and started cumming all over himself. In front of me. That's why I'm mad. |

Question: My younger sister is more popular than me? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 10:22 AM PDT My sister is more popular than me. It's so weird for me because my mom and her mom are complete opposites. My sister's mom was a stay at home mom most of the time. My mom was the mom who worked and went out. We also both grew up with step dad's. My step dad was always had a beer in his hand, and went out with the guys all the time. Her step dad just worked and went out with the family. We grew up very different. However I am more social then my sister. She is quite at first but then seems to take over and everyone seems to loves her. She's not even big on drinking... Why? |
Question: My thirteen year old is pregnant... asking for support and help.? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 10:21 AM PDT I'm not sure where to go so I decided to ask here because it seem to like the most logical way and I could stay anonymous. Let me just start off by saying I know I'm not the best but I do know what's right from wrong and I just can't tell where I went wrong here. Let's begin, it started about two months ago my daughter decided to date a guy I assumed was in her grade. She's in eighth grade little did I know she was dating a sophomore in high school. Now my daughter is normally open with me about who she likes so I was glad she asked me if she could date this boy we will call him Max. I said yes because I knew that if I said no she would most likely do it behind my back. The other day I was using her laptop which is a MacBook and she gets her iMessages from there as well. Now I know it's back to snoop but I couldn't help it and I began to read her text messages with Max. I began to cry when I saw messages of her saying she thought she might be pregnant and that she was mad they didn't use protection. The messages of him we're very awful he kept saying that the kid was either not hands or that she should have an abortion if it is. I confronted my daughter about the messages and she began to weep and cry tell me that wasn't her fault that she didn't know what she was doing etc. I took her to cvs and we got a pregnancy test although she told she already taken one that her friend bought her and she said it was positive. this one also came up positive. I have a;ready contacted the school and the parents of the boy. I am also completely aware I shouldn't have let her date but I honestly did not suspect her to betray my trust like that. I am letting her decide what she wants to do wth the baby. The school recommended I home school school with an online schooling program. The other issue right now is that the boys parents want full custody of the bay if my daughter decides to keep it. Like I asked in the begininng I just need support and guidance |
Question: Should I keep seeing him? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 10:09 AM PDT He will not let me in his apartment. I've seen the outside of the building but in 6 months he's never invited me in. We can only stay at my place. He dates other women. I have seen him out on dates with other women. I've gone through his phone and seen messages to other women that he's dating. His car is a mess. It's old, damaged and he takes his plates off whenever he parks to keep it from getting booted. He sometimes ignores my calls and texts for days at a time. There are days when he's very attentive but then there are other days when he doesn't answer or call back. I've given him money. He got hurt on his job and his workman comp. wasn't enough to cover his expenses so I offered to do his laundry, and give me some pocket money. We have fought in public. I get mad whenever I see him with other women and I throw drinks at him and start fights. He often disrespects me by ignoring me in public and acting like he doesn't care. We still see each other behind closed doors occasionally but he doesn't invite me to hang out in public anymore |
Question: I'm jealous of my younger sister and feel bad. Advice? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:54 AM PDT I'm 19 and my younger sister is 17. We're both really close, but sometimes I get jealous of her. I don't want to be jealous of her and don't want to hold her back. For example, she just got her SAT scores back today and she got a really high score (98 percentile). She is probably going to get into all of the colleges she applied for. She applied to the same colleges that I did when I was her age and I didn't get into some of the ones I wanted to. I want her to choose the college that I'm at now, but I know that she can do much better. I know that she achieves these things by hard work and that I could have achieved the same things as her if I worked as hard. I don't know how she has so much willpower. I think that's the main thing I'm jealous of. Another thing I'm jealous of is that she ran her first half-marathon last weekend in a great time. I want to be able to run like that and have that kind of motivation. When she goes to college she's probably going to succeed in a lot more ways. I just feel terrible about all of this. She pretty much has everything that I want: best friends, good at running, great grades...etc. Any advice? |
Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:54 AM PDT How do I not let this bother me? It makes me nervous when she does this. She used to get downright mad, now that I am an adult it has turned into a sarcastic irritation, not downright anger. I feel nervous because I remember the days she was mad when I was a kid. I try to keep it a secret when I see my step-mother but it is hard when she senses I am like holidays. She especially resents that I still see her after my Dad's death (my Dad died in 2012). I know I can't change my mother's bitterness and jealousy but how can I change mine so I don't feel so nervous when she roles her eyes or makes these sarcastic comments? It is like I know the anger boiling inside her (my mother). My step-mother supposedly doesn't like my mother but she does not bring me into it so I don't feel nervous or anything. My mother resents I am nice to someone who dislikes her (a friend tipped my mother off my step-mother's sister said my step-mother doesn't care for my Mom, all 3rd hand gossip). |
Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:54 AM PDT I know my mother will say not to (she hates many people and instructs us to hate them). So will I be unfaithful if I except? I kind of liked this guy even if he was an alcoholic (the reason for the divorce was his drinking) |
Question: My brother is selfish and greedy. Do I treat him this way because of this? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:52 AM PDT |

Question: My teacher said my parents are beating me at home? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:43 AM PDT We had a class meeting for parents a few days ago but my parents couldn't make it, because of their work. Today my mom went to get her eyelashes done at one of my classmate's mom's place. The mom told her that our homeroom teacher had told everyone that my parents beat me and WHIP me if I get bad grades(not true at all). Now I'm very upset because I don't know what the others will think of me and my family ;( |
Question: Question about my little sister? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:23 AM PDT Ok, so my little sister (12 years old, has ADHD, for reference) announces somehow or another every month when she's on her period. Me (her 16 year old brother) and my dad don't want to know about it, and my two younger brothers are too young to know about it, at 7 and 8. My mom has tried and failed to get her to keep it private, and to teach her to properly dispose of her hygiene products, but they lay open in the trash, which worries me cuz my brothers are 'dumpster divers', periodically fishing through for toilet paper rolls. Is there any way I can approach my sister about keeping it private, and it be effective, and is there any way to approach my mom about her disposal problems? |
Question: I'm feeling very emotional? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:10 AM PDT I grew up in California then moved to Pennsylvania at age 13. Everything was fine till this major change took place. I'm not blaming this place for all my problems. But it sure isn't at all like home. I had the happiest memories in California. Literally I was such a happy kid. Then when I moved here I went through many obstacles. Racism, bullying ok I actually dealt with bullying in my hometown but it wasn't as serious at all. I get depressed during the winter and I do think about moving back but my family is here now. I'm 22 and the oldest of 4 my lil brother is 20 and 2 sisters one is 11 and the other is 16. My dad is 60 and mom is 50. I just don't see any other choice for me right now. I have never been able to adjust to this place at all. And honestly I can't imagine raising my own family here. But when I think about leaving I get sad. Because my family will probably look at me differently and I love them very dearly but this place just isn't where I wanna be honestly I hate it here. Also most of my family is in California/Mexico I only have a few cousins here in the northeast.. |
Question: Why are children so clingy? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:09 AM PDT My 7 year old cousin always used to spy on me, copy me, and worshiped what I said. I was 13 at that time, even though they were kids her age. |
Question: Why does my aunt from Kuwait wants me and my other aunts to fail? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 09:04 AM PDT She hates me and my other aunts even though we were nice to her. I was 14 at that time and she seemed envious of me. She didnt want me to lose weight, or have good grades. Where does such maliciousness and hatred come from? She always seems mad for a reason. Why is she so aggressive? |
Posted: 27 Oct 2016 08:54 AM PDT He breaks promises routinely He is otherwise a good Dad, just he has a habit of chronic fibs. Never lives up to what he says he will do, does this to my mother also. |
Posted: 27 Oct 2016 08:54 AM PDT Can I not just be mad at him but do I have the right to be disgusted that he is treating the parents who spent thousands on his legal feas this way? Or am I being too hard on him since he is family? There was no fight or anything, he just stopped talking to them. At first they didn't hear from him and feared he was dead (10 days went by) then another sibling of mine got a hold of him so he is alive, just being a dick. So do I have the right to be mad or am I being too hard on this brother? |
Question: Can you give me some nice things to say (details)? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 08:22 AM PDT My sister writes poems. At least that's what she says they are. To me they are just random, unconnected words that make little sense. She recently had her first "book" published and she wants to know what I think. I love my sister. I don't want to give pat, "they are good" type of answers. what's something nice I can say to her that won't sound fake? |
Posted: 27 Oct 2016 08:10 AM PDT Often he tells me stuff I get excited about and then it is "up, never mind, plans changed". Is he a liar because of this even if his intent isn't to lie at the time he makes the promise? His plans change for trivial reasons, not emergencies like death in the family or cancer or anything like that. |

Posted: 27 Oct 2016 06:53 AM PDT My daughter for the most part is pretty mature and responsible, but has never driven more than an hour solo her 4 years of driving. These are mostly freeway miles, but I worry about her falling asleep, car troubles, bad weather (rains here alot this time of year) etc. I will feel horrible if I let her go and something bad happens, but I want her to have "adult" experiences, grow and learn. Any advice to help me feel better about this? |

Question: Is it unusual to have literally no family besides your parents and sister? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 05:21 AM PDT I'm a 28 year old woman and still living with my parents and younger sister. I've been job seeking since I was 17 and still couldn't land a stable job, even with qualifications in Business Administration. Anyway, about my family situation... I never visit or am visited by my extended family, and that includes cousins, aunts, uncles. It wasn't until 2010 till I found a lot of relatives in my area and interstate that I had never met. Still we don't talk online, and no visits have ever been arranged. Once my city apartment went on fire and me and my family had to live in hotels for a week, and nearly ended up on the streets. Still even when I mentioned this on Facebook, none of the relatives reacted - they seemed indifferent, if they were even listening. So now, I'm depressed that if anything happens to my parents, me and my sister will be on our own. No financial help, no emotional support (not that we ever got it anyway), and no job, it looks bad. |
Question: Was it okay for her to do that? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 05:17 AM PDT My mother and father is divorced. Mother remarried and fater is dating.. so it was my 21st birthday.. and i took a picture of my mother, myself and my father.. and posted the images on facebook.. and my fathers girlfriend told me to remove it.. but i did not upload the pic alone.. i upload it with 150 other 21st pictures. And she specifically asked to remove the 1 only.. she did not tell me directly.. she told my father to tell me to do so .. was it correct for her to do so and what should i have done? |
Question: Why are my parents so weak and forgiving? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 05:00 AM PDT What I mean by this is that they literally let people walk all over them. My parents have backstabbing relatives who just mooch off them and they rarely do do anything or think about something before they do it. They blindly lend lend money to my relatives who just take the cash, aren't even grateful for it and then lie to them. My mom really loves my grandmother and she's the only person in my family that supports her financially. She think her brothers a really good guy who cares about her mother. She couldn't be more wrong. She believes everything he says even though her mother is saying something else. Now she regrets it. What's wrong is that her brother and his wife is living in my grandmothers house and they act like they own it. My uncles wife is literally the mastermind and my uncle blindly follows her. They never take care of my grandmother, like calling her to breakfast or even driving her to a nearby hospital since she's in really bad health and has to walk with a crutch. But my mom doesn't know that, my uncle and his wife act like the care whenever my mom visits so she's completely ignorant of the situation even though my grandmother tells her and she doesn't believe her anyways. My uncles wife even ignorantly said she'll never get out, sell or even let my grandmother stay in her own house!! my mother still doesn't believe it even though I tell her. She does now and she deeply regrets it. Same with my father, we own work at a store, with a contract and we have a worker that we hired. She's lazy, doesn't do anything even openly talks back at my father and he doesn't do anything about it. Even brushing it off like it's not a problem. I need a serious answer please. I want to know why my parents trust people who lie to them and cause problems for them and me at home. My money is involved too so please don't say I shouldn't stick my nose in other people's business. My parents have a bunch of arguments at home because of my relatives and sometimes I get caught in the crossfire. Let me rephrase this question why do my parents trust people who lie to them and take advantage of them and me? I would appreciate it if someone with experience in this answers. no troll comments please. |
Question: I think my dad is cheating on my mom and im really upset with him? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 04:57 AM PDT I think my dad is having a affair because he picked me up from school on monday and he went to meet with this women he said it was "business stuff" then i seen the same women come to my house after my mom was sleep at 10pm my dad was outside talking to her on top of that he always says if the house phone rings to not answer it and he'll answer it upstairs so idk i think he is maybe cheating and im kinda upset with him i wanna tell my mom but idk if i should i also want to confront my dad but idk how good of a idea that is either my dad has cheated on my mom in the past when i was a kid and i no because my mom talks about it with my aunt and i think it still bothers her so if he is cheating again she will be heart broken what do i do im only 15 so i dont want to seem like im in their business but i dont want to see my mom hurt shes been through alot |
Posted: 27 Oct 2016 04:36 AM PDT So about a year ago my husband took me on a trip to visit his family. He chatted away about his favorite cousin and how much I'd like her. Famous last words. When she found out my cat had been killed by a dog she said her one had been too but not to worry she fed it chocolate through the fence and killed it. I'm a complete animal lover and though I'm for the destruction of dangerous dogs, i believe it should be done humanely by a vet. Anyone who intentionally harms an animal with malicious intent is beyond evil and someone I'd stay the hell away from. My husband knows this but he keeps trying to convince me she's a good person and that if i forgot about the dog I'd like her. I don't want my kid near this psycho but we need to visit his Nana who lives there. Ideas? |
Question: Moms who drive would you have done this? Posted: 27 Oct 2016 04:26 AM PDT I just got back from dropping my daughter off at school. Since it was warm out and I did not get out of my car and came right back home I drove barefoot and did not bring my shoes. |
